Chefs Secret® 16-piece, 7-Ply Surgical Stainless Steel Cookware Set features the popular thermo-control knobs on the lids, a beautiful mirror finish, and riveted heat resistant phenolic handles. A highlight of the set is the knobs which have imbedded in each knob a thermometer. Glancing at the "thermo-control knobs" will allow you to regulate your cooking temperature while performing the waterless method of cooking. The instructions will tell you at which point you will turn your heat down after starting the initial cooking process.
If you're away from your stove when the gage reads that it is time to turn the heat down, no worries, you'll hear the lid on the utensil making a clinking sound, plus you'll hear the steam escaping from around the lid just as you would with the steam-release valve knob. This is also a signal to turn your heat down and begin the timing of your food's cooking time.
Because of the construction of each utensil, this set contains a powerful heat transmitting property that allows for a faster and more even heat distribution. This is important in waterless cooking, plus, you'll never be bothered with "hot spots" with this cookware.
