Perhaps living in California's desert in mid August has made my thoughts turn to cool places, ocean vistas, mountain streams, rustic cabins and sharing love's sweet warmth with the light of my life, my husband Ralph. This page is dedicated to cold mornings and warm caresses and of course most of all, it's dedicated to Ralph.
Once more we return to the special places that hold our beginnings
As we stroll hand in hand along the jetty, we feel the ocean's mist cool our faces.
Gone now is the feeling of urgency we once felt here, replaced now by a serene peace.
Secure in the knowledge that we are together and nothing of this world can ever separate us again. The romance is still present, but not the urgent, feverish need, only the need for each other, with each other and unto each other.
The gull's cry calls to mind yesterday's longings, reminding us of a time when time flew too quickly and we bade the clock to stand still. Time has not stopped for us, but as the moments pass, we know they pass for us together. Cold winds and stinging saltwater makes our eyes tear replacing the tears of yesterday with the joyous tears of tomorrow.
Precious in our hearts are these special places. We will always recall them to our minds but we will not dwell within them, ours is a future of today, the past we keep to cherish.
