Hot fudge sundaes, nightly laughing
A tiny booth at a Mexican cafe
The peppers are spicy we taste them in our kisses
You eye my plate hoping for leftovers
I giggle and gobble every last morsel
Eyes wide in dismay at my appetite
My hunger is for you darling, said with devilish delight
Walking hand in hand along the jetty so content
Oh my, the car won't start, pause for a kiss
Oops, I dropped the soap, giggle you pick it up
Standing room only on the bus, I brush against your arm
Grey eyes turning blue with passion
Sparkles of light from shining eyes
Ah, a pretty nighty rests upon the carpet
Laughing with sheer pleasure so much in love
Youthful feelings once again restored
People we pass smile at our antics as they whisper
"Look at the lovers at play"
Slow love making before a cooling fan
A sip of beer tastes of nectar
Driving into the desert sun, destination a surprise
Smile for the camera my darling
Holding each other close 'neath the cooling water
Splash me will you? We'll see about that!
Coffee kisses sweeten the morning
An errand separates us briefly,
A phone call reunites us
Lovemaking makes us hungry
Cinnamon rolls sate the sated
Such pleasures we have known
Those are our dreams come true
Days of August will be warmly remembered
Plans for our future will include all things special
Reaching For Your Heart
I awaken during the night and whisper your name
I reach for your arms and grasp only emptyness
The pain of being apart jolts me awake as I quietly sob into my pillow
I feel you in the distance reaching for my caress as I reach for your heart
We shall be reunited soon, our needs are too great to accept the alternative
Time is our critical friend as it steals away the moments passing
Bringing us nearer our ultimate destination

A Letter To My Beloved
My Dearest Beloved Ralph,
The time we spent together, laughing, crying and loving was more wonderful than I could have dared to hope or dream. The joy which you've brought to my life will forever be mine to keep near and dear to my heart. You are an exceptional man and I am so fortunate to have won your heart. The love we share has brought such peace and comfort to both our lives as it continues to thrive and grow with each passing moment. My beloved, your depth of understanding leads me to believe that when I look into your eyes, so blue with passion that I am indeed looking into the well at which my soul has come to drink it's fill and be nourished. Demons of doubt have been vanquished and replaced by serenity and security in the knowledge that our love will stand the test of time. My darling Ralph, for all that you are and for all that I am because of you, I thank you. I face our future and the hopes of a million tomorrows with complete faith and trust. God has brought us together and together we will remain.

Back to remembering smiles
Retracing the footsteps of those who have come before
leaving bitterness and tears in their wake.
The path is strewn with memories as we create our own
The trails of tears and restentment are becoming clear
as the flowers of our future overtake the weeds of yesterday
Tenderly we plant the seeds in the sun parched ground
Lovingly we tend them until they blossom into a new beginning
Our path is layed before us with love
With hope in our hearts we follow the trail to our life together
