Marshall and Jane Pyeatt Sledd

Jane Pyeatt was born in Missouri in 1819. She might have been the daughter of Jacob and Olivia Pyeatt. She married Marshall Sledd who was born in 1819 in Virginia.

The children of Marshall and Jane:

The family appeared as follows on the 1850 census of Meramac Township, St Louis Co, MO:

This family appeared as follows on the 1880 census of St Louis Co, Meramec Twp, MO:

This family was enumerated 8th & 9th Jun 1880 pg 16 ED 187 Meramec Twp. Their next door neighbor, #137/139 was Isaac Hetterbrand (thought to be the son of Nancy Pyeatt and Isaac Hildebrand. Other neighbors were #133 Josephine Desmonds, #134 Joseph Buscher, #135 William Maxwell, #136 George Renneberg, #138 Marshall Sledd, #139 Adophus Bruce, #140 Samuel Spears, #141 Alexander Smith). Their son, Marion, was in Linn Township, Cedar County, Missouri. Here is the enumeration of their daughter living nearby in Meramec Township:

I would assume that both Marshall and Jane were dead by the 1900 census. Their son, Marion Sledd, and family were enumerated in Linn Township, Cedar County, Missouri. I need to locate the rest of this family. Attempts to locate Louisa on the 1900 census turned up no likely matches.

I find Marshall and Jane's son, William L Sledd, on the 1910 census as follows:

This family was enumerated #1430 Manchester Road, Ward 23, St Louis, St Louis County, Missouri. This was enumeration district 354 ancestry.com image 24/32.

William's entry in the St. Louis Post Dispatch on May 29, 1916 [pg 15] was as follows:
