Senioritis
Not as fictitious as you think
Just like many typical teenagers today, I have problems with managing my time. Every single day, I find myself in front of the television wasting away a good two or three hours. Furthermore, I find myself sleeping more and working less than I should. As my senior year progresses, my time management skills are not improving at all. I seem to have developed symptoms of, what they call, "senioritis" _ a serious case of extreme procrastination and indifference for academics. Having applied early decision to the University of Virginia and having been accepted by early December, my case of senioritis has exponentially increased. Fortunately, I possessed the correct medication-dedication.
No matter how severe senioritis affected me, I was able to fight it and overcome whatever obstacle I encountered. Most of the time, the medication is there and it works almost automatically upon detection of symptoms. Then, there are those other times when my family or my close friends are required to force down the medication on me. This medication is my secret weapon as to how I manage to still do well in school despite of this overwhelming disease. During those nights when I find myself wasting two or three hours in front of the television, or when I find myself excessively lazy, I find myself having to stay awake until early morning just to complete my tasks. It is sad, yet true, that this shows extremely terrible time management skills on my part. On the other hand, this shows sincere perseverance as well.
Who knew that a fictitious disease could reveal so much about a person?
