This is the Noise We Make

 

okay, ya: it's violent. and it's the name of a favorite UIC name. and ya, we didn't get a chance to tell everyone, even though we let the contest run for three months.

CLICK TO VIEW RULES. those who gave name suggestions got a CD. the winner gets this CD, jaci velasquez's latest, 'crystal clear.'
we coulda used "shout" but it's english for "sigaw," name of the manila-based newsletter of YFC antipolo. besides, we didn't wanna be confused as the SHOUT CONFERENCE newsletter, named after the SHOUT CONFERENCE in DALLAS just this past july. (hmm did that make sense? oh wells. but WOOHOO!!! awesome conference. God is good! can i get an ALL THE TIME?!) woulda been an awesome name had not we come up with BANG.

and it woulda been a great idea had we continued on with BANG. but we learned it's impossible to keep on having four print issues a year without anyone working on this full-time. so we've had to stop. but watch out for a fat zine come out in time for conference!

and there will be more contests to come... stay tuned!

They were known as the Central Strawberries. Now they are the Chicago Fire. The Northern Army marches still and the Southwest and West soldiers troop on with a new name yet to be announced. But YOU can win a CD if you can give our print cousin a new name!

we gave out CDs at the 7th Annual North American Leader's Conference in dallas, saturday, july 28. we gave every illinois delegate a print copy of issue 1 and 2 of 2001 editions there. we also gave other areas copies of our newsletter... hehehe hopefully they like it.

and now we are going to be your moms: if you have a good idea next time, don't be silent. share it. michelle cruz wanted that jaci velazquez CD, so we gave her something close to it instead. we gave a CD to everyone who gave us suggestions. while you won't often get such tangible gifts, your contributions to YFC will definitely have some sort of impact on the group. you'll never know how useful your ideas will be.

also, if we forgot that you suggested a name... let us know!!! heehee... sorry!!!
