i have a message
You
If you would take a few moments to listen, I have a message for you. My message will come sharp and bite deep, but I think you're ready to hear this now.
A long time ago, I died for you. Who else was on my mind that day? You. Who else did my heart break for that day? You. You've been ignoring Me these past few days, and you know it.
Right now, it matters more that you've met Me at church rather than if you've met Me this weekend at youth group, or in your homes. I care whether or not you've kept our appointments. I can point out several you've missed, and most of it intentionally.
You chose to meet more pressing deadlines such as school, work and perhaps some family appointments. That's fine; it tells Me that you're actually taking care of My gifts to you. Thank you for being so attentive to that.
But I miss you. I miss talking to you. You probably don't remember what our talks are like! You know you don't have to rearrange your whole life right now so we can talk every now and then. You know I won't demand that of you.
But you said, once before, that you'd spend your life with Me. You said you'd choose Me over anything else in the world. You said you love Me -- you sang those words!
You know I will always be here. And so that gives me a right to be sharp with My words and My tone for once -- because I have done My share with My sacrifice, and because you know that what I say right now is true.
You know you need to be reminded of your place in life from time to time. You know that you are not small, insignificant, not useless! Do not think that, because My Father made sure that you are not.
Do you know how careful and precious you were made? You will never understand the beauty, the anticipation, the love that took to plan everything around you when you were first created, before the invention of time.
Do you know that when I call you, I really mean you? There's no one else like you at all. My Father planned and created twins, but He made sure that no two people or things are exactly alike, not even Xerox copies of each other. And that is why it means so much to Me when you respond to My call -- you are fearfully, wonderfully made!
And yes, the universe revolved around you for once! But how can you know these things if you never want to talk to Me?
I'm willing to make adjustments in our relationship, but not with our daily appointments. All I ask is time once more to be with you.
I'll remind you again that I am the Lord of the universe; there is nothing I cannot handle. I'll create time for us both to meet. I'll take care of all of that heavy busyness you've been carrying. I will always be here; I love you. Call on Me some time -- I've got a book full of insights, promises and adventures to share with you. I will never break My word on you. Until our next meeting. ...
