Prayer power

"i believe in the power of prayer. i believe in God's will. and sometimes His will may not be what we want, and so sometimes it can be quite challengeing to just straight up ask for His will to be done. but i also believe that God DOES know about mercy. forgiveness. patience. tolerance. love. prayze God."

rosaries Amador Ibardaloza recently asked for prayers for his dad. Please pray for healing for Mandy Ibardaloza.

Do you know what Amador really asked for?

Imagine a rosary. Look at how the beads are strung. Pry off one of aluminum locks so one of the beads come loose. Not only would your mom yell at you, you'd have destroyed a perfectly useful prayer tool. But more than that, you'd see how important one bead is to the whole of the rosary.

St. Paul said that if you hurt a pinkie, you hurt the whole body. Do you feel comfortable if you have a hangnail? You'd be gnawing at that finger all day, swallowed a truckload of bacteria, and infected your finger. You go back to it everytime after a short distraction. That pinkie is you: No matter how insignificant you think you are, you're still part of the body, the body of Jesus Christ.
If you are Catholic, you've heard of the current scandal we've been hit about child abuse by priests. If you are not Catholic, but you are still Christian, this scandal hits you too because you, like the Catholics, are worshipping Jesus Christ as well. If you are not Christian, but follow your faith closely, there's no escape for you, either. You know that believing in something you can't see is just plain... wrong.

Interesting that this incredible scandal has been made public during Holy Week. Thousands will be hearing Mass this weekend if only to hear what the priests have to say. Jesus Himself said that a light isn't lit to be hidden under a basket. First of all, it will burn the basket, and second of all, the lack of oxygen will snuff it out.

God chose you to be His own at this day, this hour, this moment. He did not make a mistake. Difficult it may be to see why you're alive in the first place, or admit your faith out in the open, you won't go alone when you tell someone "Ya, I believe in God." Go therefore and shine.
