| Introduction To Agility Seminars:
ABOUT:
Our Intro to Agility Seminars offer the chance
to familiarize yourself and your canine companion with the obstacles, cues,
and most importantly the safest way to train.
TRAINERS:
Our trainers have been through a special "Trainers
Training" so you know you are getting the best instruction possible.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
You and your dog will learn the basic obstacles;
Jump, Tire, Table, Tunnel, A-Frame, Dog-walk, and the Weave poles.
This is the opportunity to see how your dog will react to each obstacle.
We offer spotters for each dog on the A-Frame and Dog-walk since these
are the most ackward for dogs since they don't know where there back feet
are.
WHAT TO BRING:
*Flat buckle nylon or leather collar
(NO choke or pinch collars)
*Nylon or leather leash, 4- to 6-feet
*TREATS !!
*Water
*Crate/kennel
Foundations For Agility Classes:
ABOUT:
In 2003, the Agility Club’s Training Committee
developed a “Foundations for Agility” class of six one-hour classroom sessions,
and a one-hour obstacle and course session held in an arena or park.
The class is designed for beginner handlers, with this goal: Begin a positive
working relationship with your dog, and learn how to perform as a team.
After successfully completing the class, students are eligible to attend
ACCW member practices & trainings.
What to Bring:
*Flat buckle nylon or leather collar
(NO choke or pinch collars)
*Nylon or leather leash, 4- to 6-feet
*TREATS !!
*Water
*Crate/kennel
*Target (plastic lid)
After you complete a Foundations Class, you are eligible to attend
regular club trainings!
