Kory goes into a remix of NSYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye” and Michael takes over his job for his top five countdown. After NSYNC, Michael goes into his top five countdown introduction.
“I’ve got my GUEST DJS IN THE HOUSE!” Michael says.
“Girls, why don’t you introduce yourself?”
“I’m Kaci Roman, younger sister of Justin Roman from Vi3.”
“I’m Staci Salvucci, cousin of Jackie Salvucci from Vi3.”
“I’m Kim Carter, younger sister of Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys.”
“And I’m Kory, Y100’s new guy.”
The girls laugh at Kory and Michael continues on with the show.
“So Kaci, I heard that you’re brother was in the ER this afternoon.”
“Yes, but that’s all that we know right now. I haven’t been home to find out all the details.”
“Well, we all here at Y100 wish him a quick recovery, especially since he’s supposed to be performing at Summer Splash this year.”
“He is?” asks Kaci.
“Moving on…”
“No Mike, I never knew about this! Call Justin!”
“We’ll get Justin on the phone while you guys listen to Chingy’s ‘Holidae Inn’ coming in tonight at number five.”
Michael goes into Chingy and while Chingy is playing, he gets Justin on the phone.
“Hey Justin, it’s Michael Yo.”
“Jess’s boyfriend?”
“Yeah.”
“What’s up?”
“I have your sister here, along with Kim and Staci.”
“Oh cool.”
“I heard that you were in the hospital today.”
“Yeah, they still don’t know why it happened.”
“Now, your sister seems to be a little confused.”
“She’s always confused!”
“SHUT UP JUSTIN!” Kaci says.
“Hey Jess!” Justin says in return.
“J, Michael just told me that you were performing at Summer Splash.”
“Oh, I forgot to tell you!”
“Thanks a lot J!”
“I Love You Too Jess!”
“See, I told you Kaci! Big announcement: Justin Roman performs SOLO at Y100’s 2003 Summer Splash!”
“Oh shit, this was being recorded?!”
“Duh Justin, I wouldn’t have Michael call you just because!” Kaci says.
“Thanks for talking to us Justin! We hope you feel better soon!”
“I’ll see you after Radius, leave the light by the door on,” Kaci informs her brother.
“You’re welcome. And I’ll see you at home Jess.”
Justin hangs up and Staci turns to Kaci.
“Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?” Staci asks Kaci.
“Sure.”
Kaci and Staci walk out into the hallway.
“Do you realize that Justin just busted you?”
“WHAT?”
“Yeah, he seemed to not know that you were here with Kim and me.”
“Oh shit! Do you think Michael realized?”
“I don’t know. He just seemed to go with the flow, but I did notice that he looked over at you when Justin said that.”
“DAMN! Now he’s going to be on my case,” Kaci realizes.
“But isn’t that what you want?”
“Yeah, but not this soon, Miguel still has to get rid of Rosa completely! She’s always at his house and shit. Ruth doesn’t like her, he broke up with her a long time ago, but she still insists on being in his business!”
“Hey, have you heard from Nick?”
“Yeah, why?”
“When I was online earlier, there was this girl that was in this chat room and she was saying how she met Nick and he asked her out.”
“That’s not unusual. Who was she?”
“I don’t know her name, her screen name was JKC22381, why?”
“Because Nick did say that he met someone and Tiffany wasn’t happy and that I probably wouldn’t be either.”
“Oh, why?”
“I don’t know! Anyway, let’s get back in there before Mike suspects something.”
“Right!”
Kaci and Staci walk back into the studio and Michael just ended the conversation he had with Justin.
“Returning from yet another chat session, Kaci, why don’t you tell us what your brother has been up to?” Michael says, live on air.
“Nothing really. He’s just been recording with the rest of Vi3 and for his solo album. Hey, isn’t ‘Fake I.D.’ on the countdown?”
“It sure is. Actually, it’s next. Why don’t you introduce it?”
“Okay, coming in tonight at number four … What? Number four? Well, coming in tonight at number four is my brother, Justin Roman with ‘Fake I.D.’ on Y100.”
Michael goes into “Fake I.D.” and pulls Kaci into the call screening room.
“I thought you were on the phone with Justin when I went outside to get you?”
“Okay, fine, I was talking to Miguel.”
“About what?”
“I told you, I’m picking him and Ruth up from the airport on Monday. You said you didn’t have a problem with it.”
“Fine.”
Michael walks back into the studio and over to Kory.
“Hey, can you take over again for a minute. I have to go to my office for a minute.”
“Sure,” Kory says.
Michael walks out of the studio and to his office to get his cell phone and calls Chris at his house.
“Chris?”
“Yeah?”
“It’s Mike. I need you to do me a favor tonight.”
“What?”
“I need you to keep an eye on Kaci. If she does anything, would you let me know?”
“Sure thing Mike. But I have to go get ready for Radius.”
“Okay, just let me know!”
“I will Mike. See you tomorrow.”
Chris hangs up with Michael and Michael goes back to the studio.
“What was that all about?” Kim asks Mike.
“I just needed to check something. You know, how people e-mail me during the show and request songs for after the countdown.”
“True. Hey, I do that!”
When Michael returns, Kory pulls Kaci into the production room across the hall to talk to her.
“What’s up Kory?” asks Kaci.
“Did Staci ask you?”
“Ask me what?”
“About you and Michael going out Saturday?”
“Oh yeah. She did, but I don’t know if I can go!”
“Why not?”
“Well, my brother Justin, he’s working on his solo album, plus Vi3’s next album and he has me help him and I think he’s planning to work on it all day Saturday. I would love to go out with you and Staci with Mike, but I don’t think I’ll be able to.”
“You know, that’s cool and all, but Michael gave me your home number and I called Justin and he said that he wasn’t doing anything this weekend.”
“Okay, fine, I’ll go out with you and Staci with Mike on Saturday, but if my phone rings, I’m answering it!”
“That’s fine with me. I just don’t want to go out with Staci and it be awkward. Since you and Michael are together, I thought that it would be cool if we all went out somewhere together.”
“Yeah that does sound like fun. Why don’t we both plan it?
“Well, when do you want to plan it?”
“How about tonight at Radius?”
"I’m not going, I have to stay here and help Michael.”
“Says who?”
“Michael.”
“Well, we’ll fix that. You’re coming with us! I’ll even give you a ride there and back here to the station!”
“Sounds cool. You have enough room for me?”
“It’s only Staci, Kim and I, why wouldn’t I?”
“I thought you brought the truck with the sound system in the back seat?”
“No, I was going to, but I decided to bring the BMW instead.”
“You have a Beamer? Is it yours or your brother’s?”
“Yeah I have a BMW M3, and it’s mine. Want to go see it?”
“Sure! Let me go tell Michael real quick.”
