Chris goes off air and just as he does, Kory, Kim and Staci come walking into the studio.
“Hey guys!” Chris says as he does some things to the soundboard.
“Kaci, can I talk to you for a minute?” Staci asks.
“Sure.”
Kaci and Staci walk out of the studio into the call screening room, where the computer and phone is.
“Can we talk somewhere else? I don’t want someone to overhear us.”
“I guess so. Where do you want to talk?”
“Somewhere, but not here.”
“Okay, hold on a second.”
Kaci walks back into the studio and over to Chris.
“Hey, can I have the key to your office?”
“What for?” Chris asks.
“Staci wants a picture of you. I know you have them in there.”
“Okay,” Chris says as he hands Kaci his keys. “It’s the one with the orange thing on it.”
“Thanks Chris!”
Kaci walks out of the studio and shows Staci the key to Chris’s office and Staci follows her to his office.
“Okay, Chris said it was okay to come here and talk. So, what’s up?”
“What do you know about the new guy?”
“Not much, why?”
“Well, what’s it like dating Mike?”
“Are you saying that Kory asked you out?”
“Well, he said that he would mention to Mike that you and Mike, and him and I should go out Saturday night.”
“I can’t do that! Miguel is supposed to call me Saturday night! Tell Kory that you’d rather just go out with him instead of with me and Mike!”
“And what are you going to tell Mike if he asks why you don’t want to go out Saturday night?”
“I’ll just tell him that Justin wants me to help him with some songs for his solo album and some songs for the new Vi3 album. He believes anything I say.”
“Anything?”
“Yeah, why?”
“So, we all know that you like Miguel, it’s obvious. So how are you going to tell him that you don’t want to be his girlfriend any more?”
“I haven’t figured that out yet, but I’ll figure something out. It’s not like the second Miguel gets back from San Francisco we’re going to be together.”
“Oh, okay, because that’s what everyone thinks.”
“Whatever. They can think that all they want, but that would be too obvious. I even told Miguel that we’d wait a while before getting together after Mike and I broke up. But let’s get back to the studio.”
“Wouldn’t it be smart for me to go back in there with Chris’s picture?”
“Oh yeah, how’d you know?”
“It’s not like you can’t hear through that door!”
“Oh, I never knew that!”
Kaci finds Chris’s pictures and gives one to Staci and the two head back to the studio.
“That took you an awful long time to find that picture,” Chris says.
“Sorry, I couldn’t find it. You hid them from me!”
“Well, I only have fifteen minutes left on air, so Mike should be in here any minute. You girls have fun tonight with Mike and I will see you at Radius, right?”
“Of course, our stuff is in Mike’s office,” Kim informs Chris.
“Okay, well, I have to go back on air. Kaci I want you to introduce the last song, okay?”
“Sure thing Chris. Can I mention to stay tuned for Michael’s show and that I’ll be joined by Kim and Staci and we’ll spill the dirt on our celebrity families?”
“Go right ahead. I’m sure that it would get Mike more listeners!”
Chris goes back on air. Again he mentions that Kaci is in the studio with him and turns the show over to her.
“As Chris Marino prepares to leave the building, and I take over the end of his show and the Yo Show with Michael Yo, I want to know what you want to hear! Call me up at 866-645-Y100 and let me know what you want Michael to play! And don’t forget that I will be joining Michael along with Nick Carter’s sister and the cousin of Jackie Salvucci from Vi3. Right now, here’s R.J. Timberlake with ‘Cry Me A River’ on Y100.”
Chris goes into “Cry Me A River” just as Michael comes walking into the studio.
“You did a great job baby,” Michael says as he walks up and puts his arms around Kaci’s waist.
Staci and Kim start talking to each other. Chris gets ready to leave the studio and go back to his office so Michael can do his show.
“Kaci, can you show us where the snack machine is, we want to get some chips before we go on air with Mike,” Kim says.
“I can show you,” says Chris as he walks out the studio.
“That’s okay Chris, I’m sure Kaci wouldn’t mind showing us, RIGHT KACI?” says Staci.
“Of course not,” Kaci says all confused as to why Staci said that.
The three girls walk out of the studio and down the hall to the snack machine, not saying a word.
“Okay, can you tell me what that was about?” Kaci says when they get to the snack machine.
“Staci told me what you’re planning on doing. How can you be so cool around Mike knowing that once Miguel gets back Monday morning that you are going to avoid Mike?”
“What are you talking about? I never said that I was going to avoid Mike. And it’s Michael’s fault that Miguel and I have become so close. He’s the one that came up with the idea that I should do live broadcasts from the Marlins games. And if they make the playoffs, I’ll be doing the broadcasts from the road too.”
“And who pays for this?”
“Both Y100 and the Marlins. I would stay in the same hotel with the Marlins and do everything with the Marlins, but I would have to set aside about an hour each day to record a broadcast and then another hour to send it to Mike on the computer.”
“Interesting,” says Kim.
“Well, can we stop talking about me? I want to know what happened with you guys and Kory.”
“Nothing happened that I know of,” says Kim. “He said hello to me and then kicked me out of his office, so I went to talk to Mike. Why don’t you ask Staci what happened?”
“She already knows what happened Kim,” Staci says.
“Okay, can you get your chips so we can go back to the studio?”
“Sure.”
Kim gets her chips and then the three head back to the studio.
“So, just out of curiosity, how are you and Mike going to break up? Are you going to break up with him or are you going to have him break up with you?”
“Having him would be more realistic because then it could be like Miguel is consoling her, you know?” Staci says.
“That’s not a bad idea Staci. I like the way you are starting to think!”
“Hey guys, what took you so long?” asks Kory from down the hall.
“Oh shit!” says Kaci. “What the hell is he doing out here? Staci, go find out!”
Staci walks down the hall to where Kory is.
“Hey, what are you doing out here? Isn’t Mike on air yet?”
“Yeah, he’s on, but he was wondering what happened to you guys.”
“WHAT’S UP KORY?” Kaci says running up behind Staci.
“Hey Kaci. Mike told me to come find you guys.”
“Really? Well, can you go back and ask him for the key to his office? I need to get something from my purse.”
“Sure thing Kaci. You guys going to be here when I get back?”
“Where else would we go Kory?” says Kim, sarcastically.
“Right!”
Kory goes back to the studio and Staci and Kim give Kaci the dirtiest look.
“Why did you ask Kory to get Mike’s key to his office?”
“Kim, relax, I’m only getting my phone to call home to see how J’s doing. Can I do that?”
“As long as you really are calling your house to see how J’s doing. I doubt that Kory will come back with the key, so I’ll go get it for you, but you better promise that you are calling your house and not anyone else.”
“Who else would I call?”
“Let’s see here…Miguel for one. Then there’s that guy from the hospital, what’s his name … Jose…”
“I said I was calling my house. Can you go get me the key?”
Kim goes to the studio to get the key from Michael to his office so Kaci can get her phone.
“Hey Mike, can I get the key to your office? I need to get something from my purse.”
“Sure,” Michael says taking his keys and giving them to Kim. “It’s the green one.”
“Thanks.”
Kim walks out of the studio and hands Kaci the keys.
“Thanks, I’ll be back.”
Kaci walks to Michael’s office but first is stopped by Chris.
“Hey, have you given any information out about your brother yet?”
“No, not yet. I haven’t really been in the studio since you left.”
“Well, I’m getting ready to leave. Let me know later at Radius.”
