After Lucas drops Kaci, Staci and Kim off at Kaci’s house, Kaci calls Michael.
“Hey baby!”
“Hey, can I call you right back, I’m in a meeting right now.”
“No, I’ll just see you when I get there. I’m on my way. And Staci and Kim are coming too.”
“Okay, see you when you get here.”
Kaci hangs up with Michael then goes upstairs to her room to change.
“So you guys have clothes for after we’re done at the station?”
“No,” Kim and Staci answer in unison.
“Well, find something you like and hope it fits. But don’t wear it now! You can bring it with you and leave it in Mike’s office until we’re ready to leave.”
“You sure Michael doesn’t have a problem with it?”
“I’m positive. And if he does, he’ll just have to live with it.”
“Wow! Kaci has him whipped already! By the way, how long have you two been going out?” asks Kim.
“Yeah, how long have you two been secretly dating behind everyone’s back?” says Staci, curious herself.
“I wouldn’t call it a secret. Everyone at the station knows.”
“Well, then how come we didn’t?” asks Kim.
“It’s only been since a couple days after we first started hanging out with him. I’d say only three months at the most.”
“You don’t sound one hundred percent positive about the three months Kaci,” says Staci.
“Well, at first, it was all business related, so I don’t know if you’d count that as us being together?”
“Oh well, I heard you on the radio earlier with Chris. Who’s the new guy?” asks Staci.
“Funny you ask that. Chris mentioned you to Kory and he’s very excited to meet you tonight.”
“Really? Is he going to be at Radius?”
“No, he’s only twenty. But then again last time I went to Radius, there was one of the Marlins players there.”
“Oh yeah, I remember that like it was yesterday!”
“I want to know! Please tell Kim what happened!”
“Do you want me to tell her or do you want to?” Staci asks Kaci.
“Well, considering I don’t remember much of it, you can do the honors of telling Kim the story. But please do so in the car, we have to get going. You guys ready?”
Kaci, Kim and Staci walk out the front door, letting Lucas know that they’re leaving. They all pile into Kaci’s BMW M3 and Staci starts telling the story about Kaci’s first night at Radius.
“Wow, do I ever remember it like it was yesterday. It was a Latin night way back when Kaci was dating Joaquin. Somehow we found out that some of the Marlins players were there and so Kaci told Joaquin that she was going to the restroom and to talk to the DJ. So we went looking for the Marlins players and ended up finding a couple of the players and ditching Joaquin after she went back and got her stuff from his car. So we ended up hanging out with Miguel Cabrera.”
“Okay, I can tell the rest.”
“Go right ahead. It should be interesting to see how much you remember!”
“I ditched everybody and left with Miguel and we went back to the hotel he was staying at. He ordered some drinks and we had a couple drinks and then ended up going back to my house. My dad wasn’t thrilled that I had brought him home or that I was drinking, but he got to meet Miguel Cabrera of the Florida Marlins. He’s a fan and he still brags that he was in the house and we still keep in touch now that he’s become so well known…”
“See, I knew you would forget! Kaci, you and Miguel were dancing on the tables and drinking shot after shot. You guys even did body shots.”
“Wait a minute here, Kaci doing body shots? Since when?” asks Kim.
“It was about four or five months ago. That night was the best night I’ve had in a while. The next day, Joaquin left for Arizona and we ended it when I took him to the airport. Then I went back to Miguel’s hotel and spent the day with him.”
“Oh my god! I never knew you were like that Kaci!”
“I didn’t either! I mean, I love Michael, but I spend more time talking to Miguel these days than I do Michael. I feel a stronger connection to Miguel.”
“Wait a minute, how do you talk to Miguel? Doesn’t he speak only Spanish?” asks Staci.
“No, he mainly speaks Spanish, but I know Spanish. But he speaks English too, just his first language is Spanish.”
“And how’d you learn Spanish? I’ve never known you to understand it, let alone speak it!”
“Well Kim, when you hang around Spanish guys all your life basically, you pick up on a few things. That’s pretty much how I learned it. But I am half Mexican too.”
“So when are you going to see Miguel again?”
“Well, right now he’s on a road trip with the Marlins, but he comes back on Monday. I’m picking him up at the airport if you guys want to come with me.”
“Does he know about Michael and does Michael know about him?” asks Staci.
“Well, Miguel thinks that I just work with Michael and Michael doesn’t really know about Miguel. He knows that I think he’s a great baseball player for being just twenty, but that’s about it.”
“I want to meet this kid, so I’ll definitely go with you to the airport. What time does he come back?” asks Kim.
“Well, let’s just say that we could go to Café Iguana or Radius before hand and leave when we usually do and go to the airport to pick him up!”
“Hell no! Wait, did you say Radius?” asks Kim.
“Yeah, and why not. It’d kill some time before I have to pick him up. He’s coming from San Francisco and so the flight doesn’t come in until like 4:45am.”
“Girl, you’re crazy! I mean, I’ll go with you, but I’m not going to Radius or Café Iguana. You can stop by the apartment on your way there,” says Staci.
“That’s fine. I guess it’ll be just me and Kim having a good time before meeting up with Miguel.”
The three arrive at the station and walk in through the employee entrance.
“Hey Woody,” Kaci says as Staci and Kim follow her.
“Hey Kaci,” Woody says, noting she has an extra person with her. “Kaci, I need to know who you have with you, they need a visitor’s pass.”
“It’s Kim and Staci, Woody,” Kaci says walking back towards the studio with the girls.
“Thanks Kaci.”
Kaci walks up to Michael’s office, followed by Staci and Kim.
“Hey baby,” Kaci says as she walks over to Michael and gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
“Hey guys,” Michael says walking over to Staci and Kim and giving them each a hug.
“Baby, I’m going to take Staci and Kim to go see Chris and Kory. But, first, can I go get my stuff from the BMW and leave it in your office?”
“Of course, why even ask?”
They walk out of Michael’s office and out to Kaci’s BMW M3 to get their clothes for later that night at Radius. They leave their stuff in Michael’s office and Kaci walks down the hall to the studio and walks right in.
“Hey Kace, I see you’ve brought your friends,” Chris says giving Kaci a hug and the same for Staci and Kim.
“Where’s the new guy?”
“You mean Kory?”
“Yeah, where is he?”
“In his office, it’s two doors down from Chio’s office.”
“Thanks. I’ll be back, but they wanted to meet Kory before the show tonight.”
Kaci walks out of the studio with Kim and Staci and walks down the hall and two doors down from Al Chio’s office. There’s no one in the office, so Kaci walks in and intercom’s Chris in the studio.
“Chris, it’s Kaci. There’s no one in here, are you sure this is his office?”
“Positive. He’s probably at the snack machine. That kid is always eating, either that or in the restroom. Just sit in his office a while, he’ll be there soon.”
“Whatever you say Chris!”
Kaci hangs up with Chris and just sits in Kory’s office waiting for him. After about five minutes, Kory walks in his office to the surprise of Kaci and her friends.
“I remember you, you were here earlier. You’re Michael’s girlfriend.”
“Very good. I heard you wanted to meet some friends of mine, so I brought them here with me. I got to go talk to Chris for a minute, so I’ll leave these two here with you,” Kaci says pointing to Staci and Kim.
Kaci walks out of Kory’s office and down the hall back to the studio to catch the end of Chris’s broadcast.
“Hey sweetie,” Kaci says as she walks back into the studio not really noticing that Chris was on air at the time.
“I have a special guest in the studio with me today that just got here. A lot of listeners know that the group Vi3 is out here in Miami now, and I have a guest here that has all the inside info on Vi3.”
“Hey, what’s up Chris?”
“I have Kaci Roman, Justin’s younger sister in the studio with me today and she will be joining Michael Yo later tonight along with Nick Carter’s sister Kim and Staci, the cousin of Vi3’s Jackie Salvucci.”
“Don’t forget Chris, that we all will be joining you and everyone else tonight at Radius where there is no cover from nine to eleven.”
“So Kaci, what can you tell us about your brother and the rest of Vi3? Anything new going on with them?”
“Ah, that’s classified information Chris, you’ll have to listen tonight to Michael’s show to get that kind of information!”
“There you have it ladies and gentlemen. Listen tonight to the Yo Show and get all your updates on Vi3. Since you’re here, why don’t you do the honors for the next song, Kaci?”
“Okay Chris. Here’s my brother, J.Roman with ‘Fake I.D.’ from his upcoming debut album. And don’t forget to vote for ‘Eyes Closed So Tight’ for Michael Yo’s top five countdown!”
