Kaci goes and gets her stuff and then her and Jose leave and head home.
“Bye Woody!” Kaci says leaving.
Kaci and Jose walk to her truck, get in and head back to Boca Raton to his house.
“Is your mom going to let you out?”
“She can try to stop me but it won’t work!”
“What’s her problem? Does she not like me or something?”
“I have no clue! I think it’s time for me to move out of the house and get my own place.”
“Well, let me see if you can move into the guest house. The only thing with that is if Justin wants to work, he wants the whole place to himself.”
“Talk to your mom and dad first before you say anything like that! If they say okay, I will, but not until they say I can!”
“Oh alright,” Kaci says as her phone rings.
Kaci looks at the caller ID on her phone and sees that it’s Nick and Kim’s house.
“Hello?”
“Kace, it’s Kim.”
“Oh hey, what’s up?”
“Did Nick call you?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Oh, okay. I was just wondering because he’s running around the house like a maniac looking for clothes.”
“What a dork!” Kaci says laughing.“Put him on the phone.”
“Hold on a second, let me have Kaley go get him!”
Kim goes upstairs to find Kaley.
“Hey, is Nick in here?” Kim asks Kaley when she knocks on Nick’s bedroom door.
“No, he’s downstairs, why?” Kaley says after opening Nick’s bedroom door.
“Oh, Kaci’s on the phone, she wanted to talk to him real quick.”
“No, he’s downstairs still looking for something to wear.”
“Oh, alright. You know you don’t have to stay up here in his room, you can come downstairs!”
“I know, I just don’t feel comfortable around everyone yet. The only person I’ve been around is Nick.”
“That’s understandable! I hope you’re up for tonight then though!”
“What’s tonight? I thought we were just going to dinner with Kaci?”
“That and to this place in West Palm called Monkey Club.”
“So I should change then, shouldn’t I?”
“If you want, but I’m gonna go back downstairs, feel free to join me!”
Kim leaves Nick’s room and goes to find Nick, who has found the phone and is talking to Kaci.
“You know you’re holding me up from leaving,” Nick says.
“Me? You should’ve left already! Oh and Kim called me, so put her back on the phone and get going, I’m already on my way home!”
Kim finds Nick on the phone with Kaci and gets on his case.
“God Nick, hurry up and get ready! You and Kaci can talk at her house, which will be sooner the faster your ass moves!”
“Alright, alright!” Nick says handing the phone to Kim, grabbing his clothes and going back upstairs to finish getting ready.
“Hello,” Kim says laughing.
“I’ve never seen him like this Kim, what is going on with him?”
“I have no idea! Maybe it’s because it’s you he’s going to see?”
“But I have a boyfriend Kim!”
“Yeah, he knows you and Mike are dating.”
“Oh no, I kicked him to the curb after I got home last night! I’m dating Jose now!”
“You little slut!”
“Whatever Kimberleigh! Look who’s talking! You’re the one that slept with R.J. for one night!”
“Alright, shut up, we don’t need to relive that, okay?!”
“Fine!” Kaci says laughing.“Tell Carter to hurry up because we’re hungry and J’s paying!”
“Alright, let me go so I can get on his ass about leaving!”
“Sounds good to me, I’ll see you all soon!” Kaci says then hangs up.
Kaci and Jose arrive at his house about an hour after Kaci’s conversation with Kim.
“She isn’t home, let’s make it quick!” Jose says when they pull into his driveway and he sees that the Tahoe isn’t there.
Kaci and Jose get out of her truck and go inside.
“What all are you going to bring to my house?” Kaci asks as they walk into Jose’s room.
“I’m bringing my computer definitely. Some clothes maybe for a week, that is ok with you, isn’t it?” Jose says grabbing his laptop and looking for clothes in his closet.
“You can stay for however long you want to.”
“God I love you,” Jose says kissing Kaci then goes back to packing some of his stuff.
Kaci helps Jose pick out clothes and pack before his mom gets back.
“Alright, I think we’re done,” Jose says closing the suitcase he found.“Let’s get outta here!”
Kaci and Jose leave and head over to her house to get ready for dinner and Monkey Club.
“We’re gonna have to come back so I can change to go to Monkey!” Kaci says as they pull into the driveway.
“You little slut!” Jose says jokingly, kissing Kaci on the cheek.
Kaci and Jose go inside and up to her room.
“Where can I leave my stuff?” Jose asks.
“You can put the laptop by my computer,” Kaci says cleaning out a dresser drawer.
“And you can put your clothes in here.”
Kaci grabs some clothes and goes into her bathroom to change. As she’s changing, her phone rings.
“Jess, it’s Nick,” Jose says picking up her phone and looking at the caller ID.
“Answer it, I’ll be right out!”
“Hello?” Jose says answering Kaci’s phone.
“Hey it’s Nick, is Jess around?”
“Yeah, she’s changing, she said she’d be right out.”
“Oh alright. Who’s this?”
"It's Jose.”
“Oh hey man, what’s up?”
“Hello?” Kaci says grabbing the phone from Jose.
“Damn playa you can’t even let your man answer my question!”
“And what question would that be Nick? ‘What’s good?’?”
“And what if it was?”
“Then it was. What do you want? Have you left yet?”
“Yeah, we left. Should we take 95 or the Turnpike?”
“Take the Turnpike. Is that all you wanted?”
“Damn Jess, do you not want to talk to me?” Nick asks feeling rejected by the way Kaci is talking to him.
“No, I do, it’s just I expected you here when I got home, not for you to leave when I get home!”
“Alright, I’ll just see you and we can talk when I get there then. Bye,” Nick says then hangs up with Kaci before she can even respond to him.
“Ugh, he’s such a pain in the ass sometimes,” Kaci says throwing her phone on her bed.
“Who are you talking about Jessica?” Kaci’s mom says walking into her room.
“Nick,” Kaci says looking up to see her mom.
“Carter?” Jill asks her daughter.
“Yes!”
“How is he? We haven’t seen him in a while.”
“He’s on his way here with Kim and his new girlfriend. But what are you doing here? Justin said you and dad went to Orlando.”
“Justin called and told us what happened. Your dad is still in Orlando but I flew back as quick as I could,” Jill says then realizes Jose is in the room.“You look familiar,” Jill says.
“Mom, you remember Jose, don’t you?”
“Yes,” Jill says. “How have you been?”
“Besides the whole situation with Michael, I’ve been good,” Jose says responding to Mrs. Roman.
“Mom, can I talk to you for a second?” Kaci says grabbing her mom and going into the hall.
“What do you want Jessica?”
“I want Jose to live here. He can live in the guest house!”
“What about the studio?”
“We’ve already discussed that and if Justin needs the studio and house, he can have it.”
“If it’s okay with your father then fine, but you’ll have to ask him.”
“Fine. Oh, did you talk to Justin yet?”
“Just when he called and told us what happened.”
“Did he mention Angela and Doug?”
“He mentioned Angela and your contract and that he wanted her to live here in the house and I told him the same thing I told you.”
“But what about Doug?”
“He didn’t mention him.”
“Oh, he wants Doug to live here too. He’s going to be working at the station.”
“Like I said, that’s up to your father. He had business to take care of in Orlando but he’ll be back on Monday. You two can discuss it with him then.”
“Okay. So is it okay if Jose stays here until dad gets back?”
“That’s fine. What’s with Jose being here?”
“Me and Mike broke up. Then you guys left when he was here and he took Hayley and ruined Jose’s car. I got Hayley back from Chris and had Mike arrested. Me and Jose are back together now,” Kaci explains to her mom.
“Oh, I see. Well, if I would’ve known you broke up with Mike, I wouldn’t have let him in!”
“It’s okay. I just wish nothing happened to Jose’s car!”
“He’ll get another one. I’m sure your father will let him park in the driveway. I don’t know what his deal with that is!”
“Mom, Jose’s going to be living here, he has every right to park in the driveway!”
Jose comes out into the hall with Kaci’s cell phone.
“Jess, it’s for you. It’s Nick.”
“Oh what does he want now?” Kaci says grabbing her phone. “Hello?”
“Is it 6740 or 6470, Jess?”
“It’s 6470. Where are you?”
“Driving on the Turnpike.”
“Where on the Turnpike smartass?”
“Dade-Broward line. I’m by the stadium.”
“Ugh, are you ever on time for anything?” Kaci asks.
“Yes, actually I am.”
“Yeah right Carter! What’s A.J.’s number, let me call him and see!”
“You truly are a crazy ass! He’s not gonna remember you!”
“Ten bucks says he does! Now c’mon, what’s A.J.’s number?”
“Alright, you’re on! It’s 310-457-6952 but don’t say I didn’t tell you so!”
“Alright, whatever. Just hurry up and get here! You do know what exit to get off at, don’t you?”
“Yes I know, Kim told me.”
“Wait, is she with you?”
“Yes.”
"Oh, alright. I’ll see you guys when you get here! And hurry it up!”
“Oh fine. Bye,” Nick says then hangs up.
Kaci goes downstairs to get herself a drink. While she’s making her rum and coke, she calls A.J.
“Hello?” A.J. says confused.
"Hey Alex, it’s Jess, Nick’s friend.”
“Hey girl! Long time no talk, how you been?”
“I’ve been better!” Kaci says putting the coke back in the refrigerator and going back upstairs to her room.
“What do you mean you’ve been better? What’s going on baby girl?”
“You know when I lived in Chicago and my brother toured with you guys and I came with him?”
“Of course, how could I forget?”
“Remember when we were in Miami and that one DJ wanted to get in my pants and was trying to get Nick to give him my number and shit?”
“Yeah, that guy was an ass.”
“Well you don’t need to tell me that twice!”
“Oh god Jess, what happened?”
“He threatened me last night then showed up at the house and stole Hayley and fucked up my homeboy’s car!”
“Are you serious?”
“Yeah! It’s horrible! I need you and the rest of the guys to put him on your shit list for as long as…forever!”
“Does Nick know?”
“I’m not sure. He got on my nerves and then hung up on me earlier, so I don’t think he knows, unless Kim told him.”
“Be sure to let him know! He’s closer than I am and when it comes to you, he won’t let people get away with shit like that!”
“Oh trust me, that I know! So when you coming to visit me Alex?”
“Oh, I’m guessing Nick didn’t tell you?”
“Tell me what?”
“I’m moving back to Florida next month!”
“Are you serious? Oh my god Alex that’s awesome!”
“Yeah, I’m moving to West Palm Beach. I’m coming home!”
“Awe man, I wish you were here tonight! You could’ve came to Monkey Club with us!”
“Next month I will, trust me! We always have fun when we hang out.”
Knowing where this conversation is going, Kaci breaks the news to A.J.
“Um, Alex, I hate to do this to you, but I have a boyfriend!”
“Awe, that’s great! My little Jessica is growing up!”
“Shut up Alex!”
“Alright, well hey, I gotta get going. Is this your cell number?”
“Yeah.”
“Alright, I’ll give you a call sometime this weekend.”
“Sounds good to me. I need a favor, but we’ll talk about that later.”
“Oh, okay. It was good talking to you Jess. I’ll call you later.”
“Alright my dear. I’ll talk to you later.”
