Kaci, Jose, Justin and Angela go downstairs to the vending machines.
“Of course, they never have anything good in these things by Friday!” Kaci says.“Anyone want to go out to get some food?”
“What’s around here?” Angela asks.
“Wendy’s and McDonald’s are the closest but there are other things. I just gotta be here up in the studio at 4pm.”
“McDonald’s is fine with me.”
“Okay, I’ll be right back then," Kaci says taking Jose with her.
Kaci and Jose go upstairs and get her purse, let Chris know where they’re going and that they’ll be back soon.
“Come this way,” Kaci says taking Jose down the stairs by the side entrance to the building.
Kaci and Jose go downstairs, get Justin and Angela and leave to go get some food.
“Do you guys want to eat there or take it back here and eat it by the studio?” Kaci asks walking to her truck with Jose, Justin and Angela, who has Hayley in her arms.
“Let’s take the chance and eat it there,” Justin says, knowing what his sister was implying. “We can always leave and bring it back here to the station.”
“Okay, if you say so!” Kaci says unlocking the truck.
Kaci, Jose, Justin and Angela get in Kaci’s truck and leave and go to McDonald’s. The four walk in to McDonalds and order.
“Can I get a number two, add mayo, lettuce and bacon?”
“What kind of drink?”
“Um, a Sprite I guess.”
“Is that all?”
“No, his is with mine and the other two are together,” Kaci says turning around pulling Jose up to the counter to order.
Kaci pays the cashier after Jose orders and they go and wait for their food while Justin and Angela order. Kaci and Jose get their food first, so they go and sit down at a table and start eating while they wait for Justin and Angela to get their food.
“Justin seems really friendly with Angela,” Jose says to Kaci, observing Justin and Angela while they wait for their food.
“They’ve always been like that! It wouldn’t surprise me if when she moves down here next month that they officially hook up,” Kaci says taking a bite of her Quarter Pounder.
“What’s she moving down here for?”
“To manage me. Didn’t I tell you?”
“No. What did you so conveniently forget to tell me?” Jose asks just as Justin and Angela get their food.
“I’ll tell you later on the way home.”
“Oh, okay,” Jose says as Justin and Angela join him and Kaci.
The four eat their food and have miscellaneous conversations until Justin brings up Kaci’s contract with Latium.
“So Jose, did Jess tell you that she has a new job?”
“New job?” Jose says looking at Kaci.“No, she didn’t tell me anything like that.”
“Good one Justin,” Kaci says giving him an evil look.
“Oh I guess I wasn’t supposed to mention the contract,” Justin says.
“You might as well tell him now,” Angela says finishing her lunch.
“Might as well,” Kaci says.
“Spit it out! What are you guys talking about?” Jose says confused.
“I signed with Latium Entertainment and Universal Records this afternoon,” Kaci tells Jose.“But I want more control,” Kaci says to Angela.
“How much control?” Angela asks.
“I must pick and approve the people who will be around me every day, especially on a tour.”
“I’m sure we could do that.”
“Good. I was thinking about it earlier. I made a list too.”
“Oh, well, do you have it?”
“Yeah, it’s in my head,” Kaci says pointing to her head.
Just as Kaci is getting ready to tell Angela who she wants working for and with her, Justin gets recognized.
“Can I have your autograph?” a girl, about 16, asks Justin.
“Sure,” Justin says taking the girls paper and pen and signing an autograph for her.
“Can we go now?” Justin asks after the girl leaves.
“Yeah,” Kaci says.
Kaci, Jose, Justin and Angela leave and go back to the studio. As they arrive back at the studio, Amanda Johanson is arriving and sees them arrive and walk into the building.
“We’re back,” Kaci says walking into the studio just in time for the four o’clock top of the hour.
“You got here just in time!” Chris says.
“Let’s do this,” Kaci says turning around to Justin. “Hey, answer the hotline if it rings while we’re on air,” Kaci tells Justin.
Kaci and Chris go on air and just as they go off air, the hotline rings.
“Studio,” Chris says answering the hotline.
“Is Kaci up there with you?” Melinda asks.
“Yeah, she’s right here.”
“Your 4pm is here,” Melinda says.
“Okay, she’ll be down in a minute, just tell them to have a seat and she’ll be down to get them.”
“Okay,” Melinda says then hangs up with Chris.“She’ll be down to get you, you can have a seat while you wait,” Melinda tells Amanda.
Kaci goes into the call screening room to talk to Jose, Justin and Angela before going down to get Amanda.
“I want to shock her, but I don’t know if I should bring you with me or have you wait in the production room and bring Jose with me then have you walk in like you’re here to do an interview with Chris,” Kaci says to Justin.
“What was your original plan?” Justin asks her.
“To bring you with me.”
“Then bring Jose and Hayley with you and I’ll go in the production room and when you bring her back, I’ll wave to you and then come in or I’ll wave to you, get up and come see you before she meets my girl,” Justin says then gets slapped by Angela.
“Your girl? You two aren’t,” Kaci starts to say before Angela interrupts her.
“If it wasn’t obvious since I got here,” Angela says.
“Oh my god, we’ll talk later, I gotta get this girl,” Kaci says picking Hayley up from Justin’s lap and leaving with him and Jose. “Wait in here,” Kaci says pushing Justin in the production room.
Kaci and Jose go downstairs to get Amanda. When she gets downstairs and out in the lobby, she sees that Amanda has brought a friend. Kaci goes over to Melinda to talk to her while Jose stands there.
“Who’s the girl?” Melinda asks.
“She lives by me, it’s her 21st birthday, so I figured I’d invite her.”
“You don’t know her, do you?”
“No,” Kaci says laughing. “Which one is she?”
“The blonde one is Amanda and the other one is some friend of hers, she just got here.”
“Oh, okay. I’ll be right back, I’m gonna go use Woody’s phone.”
Kaci waves to the girls and then her and Jose leave holding hands and go to Woody.
“Can I use your phone love?” Kaci asks Woody.
“Sure,” Woody says handing Kaci the phone.
“Oh, Woody, this is Jose, my boyfriend, I’m not sure I introduced you to him.”
“Nice to meet you Jose,” Woody says.
“Hey dork, what you doing down here?” Kory says walking in the door.
“Hey! You remember Jose from last night, don’t you?” Kaci says to Kory.
“Yeah, nice to see you again,” Kory says to Jose.
“Same man.”
“Hey Woody, what’s the production room number?”
“3424,” Woody says looking it up.
Kaci calls up to the production room, hoping Justin would get a clue and answer.
“Hello?” Justin says finally picking up the phone.
“It’s about damn time Justin!” Kaci says when he answers. “This girl brought a friend, can you believe that bullshit?”
“It’s your own fault Jess! Bring her up, get it over with so they can leave!”
“Fine then, I’ll see you soon, and you better play this off really damn good and be the nice Justin, not the Justin I know!”
“Yes ma’am,” Justin says making fun of Kaci then hangs up.
Amanda and her friend Mariana are in the lobby waiting for Kaci to get them.
“God, she’s so pretty!” Mariana says.
“I know! I wonder who the guy with her is,” Amanda says to Riana.
“That’s definitely not Michael Yo, I know that much!”
“Who’s Michael Yo?”
“He’s a DJ here, and her boyfriend.”
“Where’d you hear that?”
“In Star Magazine. There was even a picture of them backstage at one of Justin’s solo shows recently,” Riana explains.
“Oh, shut up, here she comes,” Amanda says nudging Riana.
Kaci walks over to the girls, holding Hayley in one arm and holding Jose’s hand with the other.
“Hi, nice to meet you, I’m Kaci,” she says extending her hand that was holding Jose’s to Amanda and Mariana.
“Hi, nice to finally meet you too, I’m Amanda and this is my friend Mariana.”
“Did you guys get visitor passes?”
“No, she just said to have a seat.”
“Okay, get your visitor passes from Melinda and then she’ll buzz you in, I’ll be over at the desk right there,” Kaci says pointing to Woody.
Kaci and Jose go back inside and wait for Amanda and Mariana.
“This may sound stupid,” Amanda says filling out her visitor pass, “but who is that guy with her?” she asks Melinda.
“As far as I know, that’s just a friend. You’ll have to ask her that.”
Melinda lets Amanda and Mariana in and they go over to Kaci and Jose.
“Amanda, Mariana, this is Woody, our head security guy.”
“Nice to meet you ladies,” Woody says acknowledging Amanda and Mariana.“Now remember what I said, no one in here after 5:30 who shouldn’t be.”
“Alright Woody, I’ll see you later.”
Amanda and Mariana follow Kaci and Jose as they take them to the studio.
“Is there any chance that I can meet Michael Yo? I know you two are dating, so I was just wondering,” Riana asks.
“Where’d you hear I was dating him?”
“A magazine.”
“Oh. Well, that is the farthest thing from the truth because this is my boyfriend!” Kaci says laughing.“Oh and Michael Yo isn’t working today so you can’t meet him, I’m sorry.”
Kaci, Jose, Amanda and Mariana walk by the production studio and Kaci knocks on the window to get Justin’s attention.
“Hey!” Kaci says to Justin as he walks out the door.“Justin, this is Amanda and Mariana, girls, this is my brother Justin.”
“Oh my god, hi, can I just tell you that I think you are gorgeous,” Riana says turning into a teenybopper.
“Thank you,” Justin says laughing.
“Hey bitch, where’s the bathroom?” Angela asks Kaci, coming out of the call screening room.
“Justin knows, he’ll show you,” Kaci says laughing.
“It was nice to meet you girls,” Justin says taking Angela’s hand and ‘going downstairs to show her where the bathroom is.’
Kaci, Jose, Amanda and Mariana go into the call screening room.
“Who was that girl and why’d she call you a bitch?” Amanda asks Kaci.
“That’s my best friend. She’s down here visiting from Chicago and she’s moving down here in a few weeks.”
“Oh, okay,” Amanda says, still confused.
"Okay, this is the call screening room, which is where your calls are usually answered, unless the DJ is by himself,” Kaci explains.
“So this is where you were earlier when I called?” Amanda asks.
“Yes. Then when that is lit up,” Kaci says pointing to the “On-Air” sign above the door, “it means there’s an open mic and the DJ is on air or about to go on air.”
“So can we go in there?” Riana asks.
“Sure,” Kaci says getting up.“Hey Chris, this is Amanda and her friend Riana,” Kaci says walking into the studio.
“I gotta do the Entertainment 411, can you girls hold on a second?” Chris asks.
“You can pull the chairs in from the call screening room, but you have to be quiet since the mics will be on because I do this segment with Chris.”
“Oh, okay. We’ll just stand right here then,” Amanda says as her and Riana stand up near the window.
Kaci and Chris do the Entertainment 411 and then the girls meet Chris and Justin comes back with Angela.
“Hello?” Jose says answering his phone and taking Hayley into the call screening room.
“Have you and Jessica made that list yet?” asks Tyler.
“She’s busy right now Tyler! I promise I’ll get it to you after these people she’s with leave.”
“When they leaving?”
“By 5:30pm. But I don’t think Jess wants them here that long!”
“Alright. Call me the second they leave!”
“Tyler, where are you?”
“At work, why?”
“Don’t you have things to be doing at work instead of calling me about the VIP list for Monkey tonight?”
“Yeah, but I’m in the drive thru, I’m not busy!”
“Okay, so I’ll call you after I talk to Jess about tonight, so stop calling me!”
“Alright, but you better call me! I got a customer now. Bye,” Tyler says then hangs up.
Jose goes back into the studio and reminds Kaci about Monkey Club tonight.
“Oh yeah, I didn’t tell you,” Kaci says to Amanda.
“Tell me what?” Amanda asks.
“Monkey Club is tonight and you can invite a friend for the VIP list.”
“Alright, Riana can come with me.”
“But there’s no VIP room, it’s just no cover and the second you get there you go right in.”
“Oh, that’s alright.”
“Okay, just get my boyfriend your names as they are on your ID so he can add you to the list,” Kaci says walking over to Justin and Angela. “I’ll be right back,” Kaci says taking Justin and Angela with her.
Kaci, Justin and Angela go downstairs and out the side door to talk.
“You guys are coming to Monkey tonight.”
“No I’m not, there’s no VIP room,” Justin says.
“Yes there is dumbass, I just don’t want those two in there with us!”
“Oh, so who all is going?”
“So far it’s me, you, Angie, Jose, Tyler and the two girls. I gotta call everyone else and let them know.”
“Who’s everyone else?” asks Angela.
“Staci, Jackie, Luke, Kim, Krystal, Kory, Miguel, Gonzo, J.P., Derrek, and anyone else I can think of.”
“Oh, okay. Sounds like fun.”
Kaci, Angela and Justin go back inside and back up to the studio.
“So are you girls having fun yet?” Kaci says walking back into the studio and over to Jose.
“Yeah, your boyfriend is really cool,” Amanda says in reply to Kaci’s question.
“Why do you say that?” Kaci asks starting to laugh.
“He just seems like a really cool guy. You are one very lucky girl.”
“Oh, thank you,” Kaci says giving Jose a kiss on the cheek.
Kaci’s cell phone rings so she excuses herself so she can answer her phone.
“Hello?”
“Hey Jess!”
“Nick! What’s up?”
“I’m home so I thought I would call my favorite shorty.”
“Are you serious? You’re really home?”
“Yup, I’m home for good now!”
“Awesome! So what happened, why are you back here so quick?”
“I went to a hearing and Tiffany lost so I came back right after the hearing and just got home maybe half hour ago.”
“Oh that’s awesome Nick!”
“Can you come down to the house?”
“I’m at the station right now with Justin, Angela and Jose.”
“Who are Angela and Jose?”
“Angela’s my homegirl from Chicago, you’ve never met her before. Jose is my ex Jose who’s now my boyfriend Jose again.”
“Oh,” Nick says disappointed.
“Why ‘oh’ Nick? We can still chill!”
“Alright. Well, this is my new cell number, so save it and give me a call when you’re done at the station.”
“Hey Nick, why don’t you come up to the house?” Kaci asks.
“Tonight?”
“Yeah! A bunch of us are going up to Monkey Club tonight. You and Kim should join us, we have VIP tonight.”
“Sounds awesome! Can I bring a friend?”
“Who’s the friend? I’m working on the VIP list right now.”
“You remember when we talked yesterday when you were at the hospital because of Justin?”
“Yeah, it was just yesterday,” Kaci says laughing.
“The girl I told you about, she came with me back home, so it would be salty if I left her here and went to chill with you guys.”
“Oh yeah, I remember. What’s her name, I’ll add you guys to the list right now!”
“Her name is…wait, does it have to be the same as her ID?”
“Yes, and it’s a 21+ club, so everyone has to be over 21.”
“Oh, okay, I got you. Okay, her name is Jordann Kaley Colecka.”
“Spell that for me babe.”
“Which part dork?”
“The whole thing smartass!”
“J-O-R-D-A-N-N K-A-L-E-Y C-O-L-E-C-K-A.”
“Alright, Chris needs me, so I’ll call you after these females leave and then you guys can start heading up to my crib. You remember how to get there, don’t you?”
“Somewhat. But Kim knows, so we’ll find it!”
“Smartass. Alright, gotta get back to work. I’ll talk to you in like an hour or so.”
“Bye Jess.”
“Bye Nicky,” Kaci says hanging up.
“Who was that?” Angela asks when Kaci comes back from the snack machine area.
“I’d rather not say,” Kaci says discreetly reminding Angela that Amanda and Riana were still there.
“I know who it was,” Justin says trying to be a smartass.
“I bet you dinner that you don’t!” Kaci says getting an idea in her head.
“Alright, I say it was Miguel.”
“Looks like dinner is on you Roman! I’ll tell you later who it was,” Kaci says walking into the call screening room.
Jose follows Kaci into the call screening room with Hayley.
“Who were you on the phone with?” Jose asks Kaci, sitting down on the couch.
“Nick. He’s coming with us tonight.”
“So do you have that list ready yet?”
“That’s why I came in here so I can call everyone and finalize the list.”
“Alright. But you do know it’s almost 5pm and those girls need to leave!”
“Very true, get Justin in here for me.”
Jose goes and gets Justin for Kaci.
“What?” Justin says walking into the call screening room.
“Can you take Amanda and Riana downstairs so they can leave? I have to get this list done and faxed to Tyler before he leaves at 6pm.”
“Fine.”
Justin goes back into the studio and over to Angela who is talking to Amanda and Riana.
“Hey girls, I hate to cut your visit short, but Chris needs to concentrate on his show, so we all are going to leave and I thought I’d walk you out to your cars.”
“Oh, okay,” Amanda says looking at Justin.
“I hope you don’t mind, but I’ll see you girls later at Monkey Club.”
“Oh no, it’s cool, we totally understand!” Riana says.
“Okay, good because I don’t want you girls to feel like we’re kicking you out!” Justin says getting up to leave.
Justin, Angela, Amanda and Riana leave the studio.
“Bye girls, it was nice to meet you! I’ll see you later,” Kaci says waving to the girls as they leave with Justin and Angela.
Justin and Angela take Amanda and Riana downstairs and say bye to them and then go back upstairs to the studio.
“Alright they’re gone, so who was that phone call from?” Justin asks his sister.
“Damn Justin I’m on the phone, I’ll tell you later!”
Justin gives his sister a dirty look and goes into the studio with Angela.
“So yeah, you’re coming to dinner, right?”
“Of course. Where we going?” Nick asks.
“Houston’s down in Aventura. You guys up for that?”
“Yeah. You’re coming here first?”
“That’s what I planned on. But we’re going to go home first. It’s going to be a late dinner.”
“Why you going all the way back to Boca then all the way back down here to Miami?” Nick says confused.
“We have two cars here and Justin doesn’t know where you live.”
“Well, why don’t we just go to the one in Pompano Beach so we’re equal distance?” Nick suggests.
“That’ll work, but I prefer the Aventura one. But the one in Pompano we can sit outside.”
“Alright, wait, I’ll just go up to your house and we can take my truck.”
“You still got that truck?”
“Sure do! But look who’s talking Ms. 1997 F-150!”
“Hey, shut up, you love my truck and you damn well know it!”
Jose’s cell phone rings and it’s Tyler.
“She’s working on it, what’s your fax number at work?”
“It’s about time! I’m about to leave in thirty minutes!”
“Alright, what’s your fax number so we can fax you the list?”
“561-782-0926. Be sure to put it to my attention or I won’t get it!”
“Got it. Alright, let us finish this so we can get it to you!”
“Alright, call me when you send it so I can go check the fax for it.”
“Thanks, you’ll have it before you leave work.”
Jose and Tyler hang up and Jose gets on Kaci about the list.
“Is the list done yet? Tyler’s leaving in thirty minutes and needs the list before he leaves.”
“Alright, alright,” Kaci says still on the phone with Nick.
“Babe, I gotta get this list to Tyler for tonight, so I’ll just see you at the house. I suggest you leave now though.”
“Okay, I’ll see you when you get home or when I get there.”
“Alright. Justin and Angela should be there by the time you get there. I gotta go by Jose’s house before going home though.”
“That’s fine. I’ll see you when you get home then.”
“Alright. It should be okay for you to pull into the driveway.”
“Okay, I’ll see you later for dinner then. I’m gonna go get ready and leave.”
“Okay, bye Nicky!” Kaci says.
Kaci and Nick hang up and Kaci calls everyone else to tell them about Monkey Club and finish the list for Tyler.
“Alright, I’m done,” Kaci says handing the list to Jose.
“Where’s the fax machine?”
“Oh yeah,” Kaci says getting up and walking around the corner to the fax machine with Jose.“What’s his fax number?” Kaci asks as she fills out a fax cover sheet.
Jose gives Kaci Tyler’s work fax number and Kaci faxes the list over to Tyler and Jose calls him to let him know the list is being faxed.
“Hello?”
“Go check your fax, Jess just faxed the list over.”
“Alright. Hey can I call you back later after I leave, I got customers to take care of before we close so I can leave on time.”
“Yeah, no problem.”
“Alright, I’ll talk to you later,” Tyler says then hangs up.
Jose and Kaci go back into the call screening room and Justin comes in from the studio with Angela.
“We’re going to leave, we’ll see you at home,” Justin says to Kaci.
“Oh, alright. We’ll be home after stopping by his house.”
“Alright.”
“Oh J, the person I was on the phone with is coming up to the house.”
“And who would that be?” Justin asks halfway out the door.
“Ugh fine! Nick is coming with us, and he’s bringing Kim and his girlfriend.”
“Oh hell no! Tiffany ain’t coming nowhere!”
“Justin, him and Tiffany broke up! It’s a new girl! I think he said her name was Jordann.”
