Angela goes back inside and on her way back to the VIP room, she runs into someone she recognizes from Chicago.
“Gonzo, is that you?”
Alex Gonzalez, the third baseman for the Florida Marlins turns around to see Angela standing there. Gonzo and Angela met while he was the shortstop for the Chicago Cubs before being traded for Nomar Garciaparra.
“What are you doing here Angela?”
“Working.”
“I thought you lived in Chicago?”
“I do, well, I did. I’m moving down here in a couple weeks or so to work.”
“Oh. Do you still work for that management company?”
"Yeah, that’s why I’m here. Remember Jessica?”
“Which Jessica?”
“Justin’s sister. Or did you know her by Kaci?”
“Oh, that Jessica, no, I know her by Jess.”
“Well, Latium/Universal wants to sign her to a solo contract, and, well, I’m here to do it for them and then manage her.”
“Oh I see.”
“Who you here with?”
“The whole team is here, the games out in California got canceled because of all the bad weather so we came back to Miami about a couple hours ago.”
“Well, go get a few of the guys and come hang with us in VIP.”
“You sure? Who all is there with you?”
“Well, it’s me, Jessica, Ana, Jackie, a couple guys from the radio station, Jessica’s friend Kim, and some other friend of Jessica’s. I think her friend Jose is coming later. But I think that’s it, unless others have joined since I left.”
“Well, let me go find the guys and I’ll see you there.”
“Oh wait, is Miguel with you?”
“No, him and Ruth went home.”
“Oh, okay.”
“See you again in a few, and thanks for inviting us to VIP!”
Gonzo goes off and tries to find the teammates he came to Radius with. Eventually he only finds D.Lee and J.P.
“Hey guys, I ran into someone I know from Chicago, I hope you don’t mind that I invited him to hang out with us,” Angela says to Kaci, Staci, Kim, Kory and Jose, who just got there.
“No, that’s cool. Who did you run into?” Kaci asks.
“Gonzo!”
“Gonzo, Gonzo?”
“Yes!”
“I thought they were in San Francisco?”
“He said that they got back about a couple hours ago. I asked if Miguel was here, but he said him and some female went home.”
“What was her name? It better not of been Rosangel!”
“I don’t think it was Rosangel.”
“It better not of been her Angie. That bitch is getting on my last nerves!”
“Chill Jess! I’m pretty positive it wasn’t Rosangel.”
“God Angie, I hope it wasn’t! So, who is Gonzo bringing to join us?”
“No clue! He said he would go find some of the guys and come.”
“Oh, okay. But you do know you gotta let the bouncers know who gets to come in VIP, right?”
“No!”
“Angela, you are such a crazy ass, I swear! I’m going to go inform them that Gonzo and his friends can come in VIP.”
Kaci goes to the front of VIP and informs the bouncer that Alex Gonzalez and friends can be let in and to come to the VIP room Kaci is in.
“I’m going to get a drink, don’t let anyone who isn’t already in my VIP in, got it?” Kaci says to the bouncer, and he nods his head in agreement.
Kaci goes out to the main bar and gets two Corona’s, one with lime. As she’s walking back to VIP, she sees Alex and his friends and goes over to them.
“Hey Gonzo!”
“Jessica!” Gonzo says giving her a hug.
“Hey Derrek! Hey Juan!” Kaci says to the two, giving them each a hug too.
“Where’s Miguelito?”
“Oh, him and Ruth went home,” Juan informs Kaci, who is pleased to hear it was Ruth and not Rosangel who went home with him.
“So is it just you three joining me and my friends tonight?”
“It looks that way,” Gonzo says.
“Well shit, what are we waiting for? Let’s get to VIP and get this party started!” Kaci says taking a sip of her Corona.
Kaci, Gonzo, Derrek and Juan go back to VIP and Kaci tells the bouncer who is with her and again, if they haven’t already been in her VIP, then they can’t come in.
“Here you go,” Kaci says handing Jose the other Corona.
“You didn’t have to do that,” he says to her.
“Don’t worry about it, it’s on the house.”
“Thanks babe,” Jose says giving Kaci a kiss on the cheek.
“When I’m done, do you wanna go dance?” Kaci asks Jose.
“Sure, just come get me.”
Kaci kisses Jose on the cheek and takes Gonzo, Derrek and Juan to another table to talk.
“You guys want anything to drink?”
“I’ll have a Budweiser, if you don’t mind,” Gonzo says.
“I guess I’ll have one too,” Derrek says.
“Make it three then,” Juan says.
A waitress comes over to the table Kaci is at and asks if anyone wants any drinks.
“The guys will have Budweiser and I’ll have a rum and coke, please,” Kaci says.
The waitress writes down their drink order and goes to get their drinks.
“So what happened that you guys come back early?”
“The weather was horrible, we hadn’t played in the whole time we were out there, so they canceled the whole trip since it was all California teams we were playing,” Gonzo explains.
“I’m going to kill Miguelito now! He told me Monday!”
“When did you talk to him?”
“Earlier tonight when I was at the studio. I don’t remember the exact time though, but he never mentioned any games being canceled.”
A waiter who looks eerily similar to Ryan Cabrera brings Kaci and the guys their drinks.
“Hey, has anyone ever told you that you look like Ryan Cabrera?” Kaci asks him.
“Yeah, I get it all the time.”
“So what’s your name?”
“Ryan.”
“Are you kidding me?”
“No, I’m serious. It’s just a coincidence.”
“Well, Ryan, have a seat, join us.”
“I can’t, I’m working.”
“Don’t worry about it. I have all but one VIP room tonight, you won’t get in trouble.”
Ryan sits down next to Kaci, who made Gonzo, Juan and Derrek move over so that Ryan would have to sit next to her.
“So how long have you been working here?”
“Not that long.”
“Well how long is not that long?”
“Three months or so.”
“Oh I see.”
“So what’s your name?”
“Oh, I’m sorry, I’m Jessica, but everyone calls me Kaci. And the guys are some of the Marlins players. That’s Alex, but we call him Gonzo, and Juan or J.P. and Derrek or D.Lee.”
“Nice to meet you all,” Ryan says shaking each of their hands.
“I’m sorry I didn’t introduce ourselves, I’m really bad at that!”
“It’s okay. Do you come here often?”
“Every Thursday with the station.”
“We come when we get a chance, which isn’t often from February to September,” Gonzo says.
“Well, I really need to get back to work. Whenever you come back, if you want, and have VIP, just ask to have me,” Ryan says getting up from the table.
“Sounds good to me. I’ll be back in a week, as far as I know, unless my brother has me helping him meet a deadline with MCA!”
Ryan gives Kaci a hug and acknowledges the guys before he leaves and gets back to work.
“He was really nice,” Kaci says to the guys after Ryan left.
“Shut up Jess! You obviously want him!” Gonzo says nudging Kaci.
“Ugh, whatever Gonzo!” Kaci says getting up from the table.
“Where you going?” asks Gonzo.
“Back to the other room. You guys can have this room, just if you want anyone else to come in here with you, find me because only I can say who comes in here.”
“Alright, so where will you be?” asks Gonzo, knowing there will be others joining him, Juan and Derrek.
“Around somewhere. Your best bet would be the other room with everyone else,” Kaci says leaving the room, drink in hand.
Kaci goes back to the other room and finds Jose.
“You ready to go dance?” Kaci asks Jose, putting down her drink.
“Absolutely, let’s go!”
Kaci and Jose go out to the main dance floor and things between them start to heat up while dancing.
“So what are you doing after Chris leaves?” Jose asks Kaci.
“Probably leaving too. I gotta get Kory back to the station so he can get home and then I gotta drop Kim off in Miami and Staci will probably go home with Jackie. And Angela will come with me back to the house. Why you ask?”
“Oh, I was just going to ask if you wanted to hang out.”
“Do you still live by the house?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Well, why don’t I call you after I drop everyone off and you could come over to the house later?”
“Well, what time would that be?”
“Chris leaves at two and I’ll probably leave a little before then.”
“Well, how about you leave at 1:30 and I’ll meet you at your house by three?”
“Yeah, I am getting a little bored here!”
“So it’s a deal then?”
“Yeah,” Kaci says taking Jose’s hand, leading him outside the club. “You still smoke?”
“No, and you shouldn’t either!”
“I don’t really, but I just need to get out of there,” Kaci says lighting her cigarette.
“Así pues, no he visto o hablada con usted en un rato, ¿cómo es todo?” (So, I haven’t seen or talked to you in a while, how is everything?)
“Bueno, pero yo no se que voy a hacer sobre Michael.” (Good, but I don’t know what I’m going to do about Michael.)
“¿Qué usted significa?” (What do you mean?)
“¡Soy así que enfermo de su mierda, no deseo ser con él más!” (I’m so sick of his shit, I don’t want to be with him any more!)
“Oh. Bien, dígale que usted ahora no piense es un buen rato de estar en una relación y usted piensa que sería mejor si usted los individuos era amigos justos.” (Oh. Well, tell him that you don’t think now is a good time to be in a relationship and you think it would be better if you guys were just friends.)
“¡Eso no trabajará con él, especialmente a la derecha después de una noche hacia fuera, especialmente aquí en el Radius!” (That won’t work with him, especially right after a night out, especially here at Radius!)
“¿Oh, él es esa clase de individuo, huh?” (Oh, he’s that kind of guy, huh?)
“Sí, exactamente. ¡Apenas no puedo tomarlo más! ¡Él me trata como no soy veintiuno, sino que soy doce!” (Yeah, exactly. I just can’t take it any more! He treats me like I’m not 21, but I’m 12!)
“Bien, puedo ayudarle quizá a encontrar una manera de terminar su relación con él.” (Well, maybe I can help you find a way to end your relationship with him.)
“¿Usted haría eso para mí Chino?” (You would do that for me Chino?)
“Absolutamente. Cuido demasiado sobre usted y si no puedo estar con usted, después yo deseo verle feliz y con lo que usted me dijo, no suena como usted es.” (Absolutely. I care too much about you and if I can’t be with you, then I want to see you happy and with what you told me, it doesn’t sound like you are.)
“Dios Chino, ¿por qué nos rompimos para arriba otra vez?” (God Chino, why did we break up again?)
“Debido a usted que desea estar con él.” (Because of you wanting to be with him.)
“Bien, hey, ¿usted desearía darnos otra ocasión?” (Well, hey, would you want to give ‘us’ another shot?)
“Sí, pero si está como rebote, entonces yo apenas seguiríamos siendo algo amigos.” (I would, but if it’s as a rebound, then I would rather we just remain friends.)
“Entiendo, pero usted no sería un rebote. Nunca paré el tener de sensaciones para usted. Si tuve que, podríamos reunirnos esta noche, puedo llamar a Michael y decirle ahora, o lo que.” (I understand, but you wouldn’t be a rebound. I never stopped having feelings for you. If I had to, we could get together tonight, I can call Michael and tell him right now, or whatever.)
“¿Porqué no hablamos de esto más adelante esta noche? Eso debe darle una cierta hora a ascendente sobrio tan si usted se rompe para arriba con Michael esta noche, él no puede decir que era porque le bebieron y no sabía lo que usted decía.” (Well, why don’t we talk about this later tonight? That should give you some time to sober up so if you do break up with Michael tonight, he can’t say it was because you were drunk and didn’t know what you were saying.)
“Porqué no lo hago diga a cada uno que no me siento como permanecer más largo y si desean un hogar del paseo que tendrían que salir cuando dejo o encuentro otra manera, esa manera podríamos pasar más tiempo en mi casa,” Kaci suggests. (Well, why don’t I say to everyone that I don’t feel like staying any longer and if they want a ride home they would have to leave when I leave or find another way, that way we could spend more time at my house)
“Me suena bueno. Apenas seguiré su plomo entonces y le veré en su casa más adelante, ¡pero me llamo cuando usted consigue casero!” (Sounds good to me. I’ll just follow your lead then and see you at your house later, but call me when you get home!)
“¡La autorización, deja tan para ir consigue esto encima con!” (Okay, so let’s go get this over with!)
Kaci finishes her cigarette and her and Jose go back inside.
“Hey guys, I don’t feel like staying any more, and if I did, I wouldn’t be able to get home, so do you mind if we leave?”
“Of course not,” Kim says.
“Okay, Jackie, Staci, I will see you guys later,” Kaci says to them, giving them each a hug.
Everyone gets up and goes to stand next to Kaci.
“You know, I have to be to work early tomorrow, so I think I’m going to go ahead and leave too,” Jose says.
“Goodnight,” everyone says to Jose.
“Goodnight everyone,” Jose says in return. “I’ll see you later, call me when you get home,” Jose whispers to Kaci as he gives her a hug.
Kaci and everyone leave, but before they do, Kaci goes and says goodbye to the guys.
“Goodnight guys,” Kaci says as she walks into the VIP room.
“Leaving so soon,” Gonzo says.
“Yeah, we all have busy days tomorrow,” Kaci says giving D.Lee and J.P. a hug before giving one to Gonzo.
“Oh, alright then. We can still stay here in VIP, right?” asks Gonzo.
“Of course, I’ll see you guys soon enough, I start my broadcasts again on May tenth. Oh and whoever you want to come in VIP can, since I’m leaving,” Kaci says.
“Okay, if I don’t see you before then, I will see you on the tenth.”
