He walks among the happy souls
No one acknowledges his presence
No one asks the time of day, He walks on

Along the shores, through the quiet woods
He walks
The thoughts within one which always leads to two
He's known that companionship, Long ago is a certainty
Does he think of you?
One will never know, Questions are never asked

He marvels at the breathless wonder of all around him
He skips rocks across the glass like surface of the water
The song of the robin brings a boyish smile across his bearded face
The body is hard, Protecting the soft heart within
Lacking the touch of the splendor has become the norm
Is this the way it shall remain?
Will the endless walk continue?

With a short pause he ponders the possibilities
Looking at the leaf covered ground, The thought process continues
Blue eyes clear and steal a glance toward the heavens
Hands find their way to the Blue Jeaned pockets, And he walks on.
