Chapter 7

Jeff craddled his head in his hands as he struggled with his emotions.  He had never felt such intense fear before.  He knew that the Hardyz weren't suppose to feel fear, but he did.  Right now he had no clue what was wrong with his wife or his baby.

Jeff felt Tasha's arm go around his shoulders.  "Jeff, whatever's wrong, it'll end up okay.  Jami's strong.  She'll make it through this.  You know what she believes.  'That God will take control and handle this.  Not our will but thy will.'." Tasha told him.  Jeff nodded.  "Yeah, I know what she believes, and I usually believe it too.  But it's hard to believe in times like this." Jeff sighed again.

"Do you want me to ask the receptionist if there is any news?" Edge suggested.  Jeff nodded.  When Edge came back all he had to say was that the doctor would be out within five minutes to talk to them.

Jeff looked up in suprise when the Undertaker and Sara walked into the room.  "Hey Jeff, man. I won't ask you how you are doing.  I'm here for you though." Undertaker told him, clasping a hand on his shoulder.  "Thanks man."

A few seconds later Stephanie and Shane McMahon entered the waiting room along with Triple H.  "there will probably be more coming to, before long.  Everyone is really worried.  My mom sends Jami her love." Steph told Jeff, giving him a hug.

Matt came back into the room, "I talked to Dad.  He's getting the first flight out.  I told him he didn't need to but he insisted.  So, he'll be here later in the morning." Jeff looked down at his watch and saw that it was 3:30 A.M.

Jeff rubbed the back of his neck as the doctor walked into the room.  "Mr. Jeff Hardy.  I'm Dr. Wester.  And this is Nurse Kim." he introduced himself and the nurse with him.  It was the same nurse he had met earlier.

"Well, your wife is in critical condition right now.  We are still struggling to figure out all the answers to our questions.  When Jami was shoved into the stairs she hit the stairs with her back.  She must have hit it very hard because it knocked the placenta loose, which is how the baby survives.  That's why at first she didn't notice any difference.  Then she grew very tired, loss of appetite, restlessness, along with chills and a fever.  We were going to try and repair it with surgery, but then the baby decided to come now.  So, she had a quick delivery.  There are a lot of problems with him, and we are still evaluatings, so I have nothing to tell you about him right now.  There's a specialist in there with him now.  He weight 2 lbs, 3 ounces.  And if you hadn't already guessed.  It's a boy.
