Jeff paced the sterile hospital E.R. waiting room
nervously. He'd spent way to much time in the hospital with loved ones
lately. He was beginning to detest anything to do with a hospital.
He swore he wasn't even going to watch E.R. anymore.
He glanced up as Tasha, Lita, Edge and Matt came
through the E.R. doors. "Jeff, what's going on? On the
phone all you said was to meet you at Methodist Hospital, ASAP...with Edge,
Lita and Tasha." Matt said, clearly confused. "Jeff....where's
Jami?" Lita asked after glancing around the room.
Jeff sat down and gestured for them all to take a seat.
"Well, I woke up in the middle of the night and Jami looked like
she didn't feel well. She felt feverish and then she told me to get
help, that she felt bad. So I did. They came and got her in an
ambulance, brought her here and I'm waiting for the doctor to come talk to
me. the wierd thing is that one of the nurses' knows Jami from when
she lived in Iowa. They had went to the same church for year, I guess.
Her name is Kim. She came out and talked to me briefly to get Jami's
medical history. She promised to stay in there with her in case she
wakes up." Jeff explained to them quietly.
"She's unconscious now?" Tasha
asked. "yeah, the fever was making her delerious and she was
in pain. They gave her something to help with both and it knocked her
out." Jeff told them. "have they...said
anything about the baby?" Edge whispered. Jeff's green eyes
looked up, full of pain and fear. "No. they haven't
said a word." Jeff said.
"is there anyone else we should call?"
Lita asked. "Actually, there are, if you wouldn't mind.
You can use Jami's cell phone. She has all the important numbers in
her phonebook. It's in her purse, on that chair. Um...I guess
Vince and Linda McMahon, Jami's family-her parents, her sister-Traci, her
brother-Travis, her parents can get ahold of her grandma and other family
and friends there. And I guess you should call the Divas that she's
friends with, and other Superstars like Jericho and U.T. Tell them
that they don't have to come out here or anything, but we just wanted them
to know what is going on." Jeff sighed, sounding very tired.
Lita took Jami's phone outside to call the people on
the list and Matt went to use his phone to call their dad, friends and some
of the Superstars.
