Nora Greenwald, now known as the WWF's Molly Holly, was born in 1977, not far from Forest Lake, Minnesota, not far from Minneapolis. Nora was a two-time captain of the gymnastics team at Forest Lakes high school, and was approached by an indy wrestler who saw her athletic abilities. He invited her to wrestling school, where she could show off her gymnastic skills and also learn some new tricks. She got into prowrestling in 1997, where she captured the Women's titles of various wrestling leagues under the name Starla Saxton, with her awesome wrestling skills, proving that she wasn't just T&A -- there was some muscle & brains in her, too :). In October 1998, she appeared for one match on WWF Heat where she jobbed to Jacqueline for the Women's Title, again under the name "Starla Saxton". But, it was a one-night-only thing, of course...Then, she signed up with WCW, where she joined "Team Madness", a heel stable founded by Randy "Macho Man" Savage, in mid-1999. She was known as "Miss Madness '99", or just "Miss Madness" :). Savage fired poor Nora in July of '99, and she came back with a force as Mona. Mona impressed WCW audiences everywhere with aerial, mat, and grappling abilities, which was another chance she had to show off her gymnastic skills, wearing a short blue dress. And of course, she didn't need any guy along side her, and certainly not Randy Savage, and that's saying a lot about true girl power. After a ton of months of taking WCW by storm, Nora left World Championship Wrestling to go onto a bigger promotion -- Vince McMahon's own World Wrestling Federation. Word of Nora being in the WWF has been around since Summer of 2000, when it was known that she signed up with the Federation in early August. Most rumors said she would join the Right to Censor, and that she would be Edge & Christian's valet, but others thought she would just be an individual woman. While all the rumors were floating around, Nora trained hard at the IPW School in Florida, and at Memphis Championship Wrestling for her WWF debut. Then, it looked like Nora would soon be a WWF character, as fans saw her wrestle in MCW against the ho who won the Hardcore Title, Bobcat; and in October WWF Dark Matches against Ivory & Jackie as Miss Ophelia, supposedly Steven William Regal's valet. That role didn't go so well :).
But when would TV cameras catch this girl? On November 6th, 2000, on RAW is WAR. Nora ran out from backstage in Houston, Texas to help Crash Holly from Test, Albert, and Trish Stratus, angry at him for saying that they couldn't take over the Acolyte's previous position. Crash got the better of T&A, and Nora showed off her stuff to Trish Stratus. After the young lady and Crash celebrated, all of the WWF's fans were left wondering, "Who was that girl with Crash?". Well, they were soon answered on SmackDown, 3 days later when Crash and Nora were interviewed by Kevin Kelly. Nora spoke with a cute hillbilly accent and said Crash gave her a call to help him get revenge on T&A for taking over the APA's office. Crash called this new face, Molly Holly, his second cousin after Hardcore or Bob Holly. These two from Mobile, Alabama defeated T&A with help from Steve Blackman that same night, in a no-holes-barred tag match. After taking care of Trish and giving an awesome Hurracanrana from the top turnbuckle to Test, the Hollys & Blackman were awarded the title of Winners that night. But don't think T&A and Trish took TWO attacks by the Hollys and not care about it. Molly's second cousin, Bob "Hardcore" Holly returned after an injury and the three Hollys left their mark on the Federation for sure. The T&APA absolutely hated the Hollys, and with that in mind, the two commissioners made Molly's first match to take place at Survivor Series! It would be Crash, Molly, and Steve Blackman vs Test, Albert, and Trish. Naturally, the Hollys won, with Molly displaying her new WWF Finisher on Trish! It was a mid-air summersault from the top rope -- The Molly-Go-Round!
The next night, Molly got her first Women's title shot, and she was so close to beating Ivory, when sore-loser Trish came and DDT'd Molly, costing her the match. Molly fought Trish on SmackDown following RAW, and gave her the Molly-Go-Round once again! The feud with T&A seemed to have ended with Molly got a huge victory over Trish on November 23rd, as they didn't seem to cross paths anymore. And with Trish and T&A out of the way, it seemed that the Hollys had cleared a path.
Molly led her cousin Crash to victory on December 2nd, when a new European Champion was crowned after England's WWF fans watched Molly give Regal a huge Missle Drop-Kick off the top rope. Molly has what it takes to get to the top, and if she can help her cousin to gold, then imagine what she could accomplish on her own! The day after Crash won his belt with help from Molly, the cousins beat the Right to Censor on Heat, and not many people can say they did that! Unfortunately, after two days of being the Euro Champ, Crash lost his belt to the blue-blood-wannabe, Regal. Regal went as far as to even Regal Stretch both Crash AND Molly! Hardcore Holly was so upset about this, that a match was made for Armageddon, putting Steven Regal against Hardcore Holly for the European Title (however, Bob unfortunately lost that match :( ) . Molly begun a new feud when a match was made for Armageddon placing Molly against Trish and Ivory. Molly got a powerbomb on Trish, which basically finished Trish off. Molly went for the pin and Ivory broke it up, and then Ivory beat up Molly and got the three count on Trish, still down from Molly's powerbomb. Ivory and Molly's feud started up again on January 22nd, 2001. Molly vowed to shut Ivory's mouth and she almost had the title won, until Ivory's friend, Mr. Richards, distracted the ref and hurt to help Ivory. Their feud is still continuing today, and Molly will SO be the one to take that gold off Ivory's waist!
