Of anyone in the sports-entertainment business, Hulk Hogan is the closest to eclipsing Ric Flair’s record for most World Titles (16). The Hulkster is a 12-time World Champion, having won the WWE Championship six times and the WCW Championship six times in his career. And as he’s proven in the past, it’s never wise to underestimate the staying power of the Immortal One. When he was deemed finished after winning five WWE Championships, he stormed into WCW in 1994 and won six World Titles there over the ensuing five years. Then, just when everyone thought they’d seen the last of Hogan and that his tally would remain at 11, he made a dramatic return to WWE in 2002 and captured one more WWE Championship—at that time the Undisputed World Championship. There’s no telling what the Hulkster may be capable of in the future. He may be 50 years old, but that’s five years younger than Flair, and if the Nature Boy is capable of winning a few more World Titles in WWE—which I certainly believe he is—then the idea of Hulk Hogan returning once again and claiming a few more is a distinct possibility.
