Gang Mentality:

The first thing I learned, is that the best gang does NOT have the best pimps in it!!!

The best gang, is when you have 12 pimps that work together as 1 unit of force towards a common goal. When this happens, then the gang as a whole is stronger, and becomes better faster!

 

Building a gang:

1) Most important factor in a gang.. is that you work well with the other pimps in it. So, chemistry is important. Invite pimps you know, or have seen, and have talked to before.

2) Don't just send random invites to pimps with alot of hoes.. chances are, they are not interested in helping anyone in your gang out, as much as gettin themselves higher.

3) Create a chat room in IRC, to get your gang together for planned events such as attacks, and for general bullshitting. Know your members commitment level BEFORE you sign them up!

4) Know your gangs strengths, and diversity!! Much like a good stock portfolio, you do not invest all your money in aggressive growth funds. The same theory holds true for pimping. Below is a list of "types" of pimps.

a) Whore Pimps - pimps that can drop and steal alot of hoes, and rebuild with their 1K turns. It's all about when you can get more gurls!!

b) Gankers - pimps that can hold down a city by ganking for cash hours at a time.

c) Killers - pimps that love to kill other with driveby's and home invasions. Always willing to go into battle or suicide.

d) GangPimps - pimps that can do all the above, and will do whatever the gang leader tells them to do with their turns.

e) GangLeaders - the pimps that do the politicing and strategizing, and are inevidable responsible for the gang's actions.

f) Thugwhores - Pimps who just use turns to buy thugs with (KEEP OUT OF YOUR GANG).

e) Crackwhores - Pimps who just use turns to buy weed with (KEEP OUT OF YOUR GANG).

5) I reccomend the Noah's arc approach. Try to get 2 of each gankers, whorepimps, killers, and leaders, and the other 4 as gangpimps (or loosely classified as such).

6) Bring them together!!! Make them all work together, and utilize thier assets for the common good of the team!

**Note** As players globally play this game, you too will want to diversify locations to maximize your gangs "presence" in idleland. A gang of all Dutch is open to attack after 5pm gametime, becuase it's the middle of the night for them). If you come up with 2 man buddy systems from each general 8 hour section of the globe, you should have a well rounded coverage.

 

Gang Goal:

1) It is IMPERATIVE that you have a gang common goal. Without it, your leaders cannot come up with a strategy to achieve it.

2) Possible "goals" could be:
- finish top 3,5,10,20,etc.;
- Perform gang war against some enemies
- Control a City
- Control the game
For each goal, a seperate strategy will be required by leadership.

*NOTE* - for the sake of brevity, I will be focusing on strategies to have a top ranked gang, that will attempt to control the game.

 

Creating Teamwork:

1) For any "New" gang (one that has members pimping together for the first time), I recommend starting off as EARLY as possible, the concept of teamwork!

2) First day, talk to all your pimps, let them build up when they want, but try to get them going on thier best times. Gankers want to start early, so they can gank for ak's the first few days. Whorepimps will wait til they have 1K turns, becuase there are no hoes before that... etc.

3) Get used to making ppl go to chat (or GM console) 1 hour before they play. Also, have ppl GM console at least 10 hours before they max out on turns. This way, you will soon discover that ppl will have max turns at about the same time...

4) Send "new" pimps on missions with old pimps. Assuming you have a gang with some buddies who you have played with for a while, get the new members of your gang to go on hoe dives or killng runs with your older pimps. Have them work together!!! Sometimes, it can be as simple as "You hit him 2 times, and I'll finish him off".. but whatever the case, make it happen.

**Note** If 2 pimps have full turns at the same time, and are both gonna drop.. it makes more sense for the larger one to help and drop someone lower for the smaller one. Always make helping out a gangmate priority #1

5) Set up a gang raid. After the first 5 days, you will have an enemy gang. Set up for all your pimps to save 1K turns, and go and raid antoher gang at together. This gives your zero'd pimps a chance to get alot of hoes, and rebuild, and the rest of your pimps a chance to kill together.

 

Setting Priorities:

1) Obviously, everyone gets attacked in this game, so you can't go and make an example of everyone.. HOWEVER, you will need to make it a TOP priority to set an example early and often when gangs mess with you.

2) If a gang is constangly ganking you on rebuilds.. go to antoher city, rebuild, and don't just sit there and let the guys attack the rest of your gang.. suicide thier asses!! Now, hopefully, the rest of your gang can rebuild easier.

3) If someone zero's a member of your gang, zero out him and a few members of his gang in return! Make sure someone from your gang gets the hoes!!! Make them know..if it's a war they want, then a war they will have.

4) Don't pick fights just to do it! Becuase randomly attacking a pimp, may cuase his gangmembers to attack your gang members, and you are F'n them over then!!!

5) Don't run your mouth!! I have personally zero'd many a pimp becuase someone higher in his gang ran his mouth by saying "what can you do to me".... Remember, if your gang has teamwork, then a hit on your gangmate is a hit on YOU. (besides, after you wipe out the rest of his gang, the lone pimp doesnt usually stay up top too much longer without backup.. they get waxed by stronger gangs for their hoes later =) (so if you can't kill the top guy in the gang, take out as many of his gang members as you can!!).

6) ALWAYS get zero'd pimps built up FAST!!! This not only makes your gang look better, but it makes the gang stronger. Safety in numbers, and all that jazz, 1K turns to drop hoes for a zero'd gangmate so he can get a whole bunch and catch up to the rest of the gang, is better than leaving them down to fend for themselves. (Last round, for 1K turns, I could help a zero'd member get 40K+ hoes, which was more productive than getting 10K more for myself!)

 

Strategy Tips:

Here are some tips I picked up along the way. 1) Grouping - try to get a base of 3-4 pimps that all max out on turns together.. this makes your turn usage incredibly more dangerous.

2) Suicide is good - early on, when rebuilding is easy, have a few members willing to drop down and wipe out 3 or 4 enemy gang members for someone in your gang.. who then steals a whole large mess of hoes, and rebuilds, and suicides 3 or 4 more for another zero'd member of your gang. Repeat the process till everyone with turns has used them.. Usually the rule of thumb is that the last person to build, stays up top, and the first person rebuilds also. With this strategy, you can zero' a whole gang easily with a few thousand turns.

3) Control the city - Before you can control the game, you need to control a city.

- In order to do this, you will need a few gankers to keep ppl that think of building down.

- Once you have a "buffer" between the top and the rest, you can start to build up your gang. ALWAYS have someone above watching a rebuild to gank or hit anyone that ganks the rebuilder.

- Zero your biggest enemy gang (suicide), and let the rest know, if they don't mess with you you have no reason to zero them. By the time you have rebuilt over them, they won't think of touching you, becuase they will know the consequences are conterproductive to their survival.

- After you zero enemy gang with suicides..have your gang members steal their hoes and rebuild.. now.. your gang is big, they are dead.. DON'T let them rebuild!

- Gang leader will need to be knowledgeable of every other gang out there, who has what, turns, and expected attacks. It is "HIS" (or her) job to expect that, and strike before, thus preventing.

- When zero'n an enemy gang.. use a plan! Have your ganker sit above and watch for ppl to try and turn and rebuild. Have your whorepimps dropping online enemies fast as they can..have your killers come behind and finish off the rest. Have your dead pimps get the hoes and travel them if they don't have turns, or rebuild if they do.

4) Control the game - once you own a city, and are unchallenged (2-3 weeks in usually), you can begin to look abroad for "cleaning up" the other gangs, thugwhores, etc.

- split your assets in 1/2.. make 1/2 devoted to building up higher and doing city maintenance, and 1/2 devoted to global maintenance.

- After 1K turns, alternate the groups. Make sure to keep track of who is going for what targets, as the more hoes you get, the fewer targets you have.

 

You know what.. i grow tired of this.. maybe I'll come back and edit it later.. but here is the deal.. plain and simple!!!

Get a group of pimps that work together..and have fun pimpin together.

If someone doesnt chat or attempt to work with the gang, boot their ass.

If someone bitches and cries all the time, boot thier ass.

If your gang cries about how the gang is being run.. Check your ass!

If someone messes with your gangmate, they messed with you.. don't EVER expect them to come to your rescue, unless you have gone to theirs! Don't expect someone to use 1K of their turns, to keep bailing your ass out!

What goes around, comes around. Be totally hoest with your gang, and expect the same. If you have an alliance, then they are your other gang. The more you can make it so, the better and stronger the alliance will be.

Don't tell your gang who NOT to hit for revenge if you are not allied with them.. instead, try to convince your gangmemeber, that you have more strategic targets for the gang, and to save thier turns and thugs.. and that later.. they will ahve a chance to exact revenge. But..if they wanna kill, they are gonna do it. Try to talk sense and ask them, but if you tell them, then it's a break in trust. and last..

NEVER LET YOUR PERSONAL Feelings about a non-allied pimp dictate your GANGS feelings. If you don't want to hit someone, fine... but if your gang does, then so be it!!!
