- Germain: Hi, I'm Germain Lussier with countingdown.com, here with Hermione Granger herself, Emma Watson. How ya doing Emma?
- Emma: Great, you?
- Germain: I'm good. Umm.. now one of my fans on my site wanted to know, after the 4 books came out there were a lot of rumors about Hermione possibly getting together with Ron or Harry. And they wanted to know, how would you feel about kissing either Rupert or Daniel?
- Emma: Oh my god... Umm... no chance!
- Germain: No chance?
- Emma: No chance. Umm.. It's not written in my contract!
- Germain: Did you uh.. hear anything about that or is that just like news to you?
- Emma: Umm.. I don't.. I really don't think that's gonna happen. Umm...
- Germain: What is it about the character that you don't think it's gonna happen?
- Emma: I don't know.. Umm.. I think.. Umm.. she's just friends with.. umm umm.. Harry and Ron. That's.. umm.. really different. She may want to go out with Krum or whoever. But that happens in the 4th book, and we're not there yet. I've got plenty of time for that.
- Germain: You wanted to be a star you know since you were even smaller than you are now. Who are your role models or favorite actresses, actors, while you were growing up?
- Emma: Uhh.. Julia Roberts. She's umm.. an old time favorite. Umm.. Oh I like so many! Umm.. Goldie Hawn, Sandra Bullock.. everyone! Too many to name!
- Germain: Do you have a favorite movie of theirs or anything? That sticks in your mind and you can watch it all the time?
- Emma: Umm.. I like Julia Roberts films. Like.. Pretty Woman, Notting Hill...
- Germain: That's cool.
- Emma: That stuff...
- Germain: Umm.. now was it tough being the only girl on the set a lot of the times with two boys?
- Emma: Yeah, actually, it was.
- Germain: What was tough?
- Emma: Yeah.. I mean, they're... we were very good friends, and we did form a very good little trio, but I did miss my girlfriends at school.
- Germain: Yeah, I'm sure. Now, what was the hardest part of being Hermione?
- Emma: Umm.. I think... She has... Umm... She's got some complicated lines to say. She talked quite quickly, so there, you now... see it was pretty hard work. I had a voice coach I had to perfect all that.
- Germain: Did you uhh.. have any problems pronouncing the name? Anybody mispronounce the name or anything?
- Emma: No.. But for everyone out there who calls me Her-me-own, or Herm-one, or something really, really weird like that, the name is Her-my-own-nee.
- Germain: Hermione. That's for everybody out there. Now, there's a lot of awesome merchandise that came out for this movie, and I wanted to know, was it cooler to see yourself as an action figure, or in a video game?
- Emma: Umm... I've seen the action figures, I actually haven't seen the video game.
- Germain: Is that kind of surreal?
- Emma: It's kind of worrying. In 3 months, kids will be throwing me off cliffs or biting my head off the action figure, you know..
- Germain: And I guess.. uhh.. What do you feel you have in common with Hermione?
- Emma: I suppose if you ask my brother, he'd probably say I'm bossy.
- Germain: Thank you very much.
E! Wild About Harry
- E!: How did you find out you'd got the role and how did you react?
- Emma: Basically I was asked to go to Dave Heyman's office. Umm.. that's the producer just in case you don't know. Umm.. with Rupert. Sat down.. Bang.. He said "You've got the part."
- E!: What was your reaction?
- Emma: What was my reaction? Shocked, awe, umm.. too much to take in. You know, it's kind of like pinch me. It was just amazing.
- E!: Watching the film, it appears that you were genuinely were having fun. What were the difficulties involved?
- Emma: Umm.. you need to have a lot of patience. It's not all glamour. Umm.. it's hard work actually. There's lots to do and lots to remember.
[On What She's Going to Do to Stay Normal]
- Emma: I'm going to stick with my friends, stick with my family, stick with my home, and just try to lead umm.. as normal a life I can.
[About reading the books]
- Emma: Yeah, I was in the middle of the 3rd one when I started even auditioning, so I was already a Harry Potter fanatic.
[About being on the set]
- Emma: I was really nervous. Yes... I was very, very nervous. Umm.. ugh.. You wouldn't believe the nerves I had.
[About the phone trick]
- Emma: Robbie Coltraine has a little mobile that he is always leaving about everywhere. So, Dan, Rupert and I snuck up behind him, took his phone...
[Favorite scene]
- Emma: I had the troll scene. It was great fun. I had lots of stunts to do. It was just something really fun.
[About the merchandise]
- Emma: It's really, really weird to see myself.. umm.. as an action figure. You know, in 2 months, toddlers will be chewing my head off, you know.
- E!: What's to come after this?
- Emma: Absolutely no idea. I'm just going to take it one film at a time.
