The objective
of the Medical Assisting program is to prepare the students
for an entry-level position in the medical field. The
educational emphasis is placed on the understanding of
medical terminology, the body systems, and clinical procedures.
These skills will enable the student to perform in an
entry-level position in both front offices and clinical
settings. Graduates will be qualified to work in doctor's
offices, clinics, and hospitals. The associates degree
program will provide the student with additional front
office skills.
