It is the time of when Ganondorf rules as the Evil King. The princess has been gone for two years and Link is still slumbering in the Sacred Realm.
Jin, now thirteen, walks through the deserted streets of Hyrule Town. The Redead keep their eyes on her. It had been a while since they had living flesh to snack on.
“I feel…ashamed that I couldn’t protect Zelda or Hyrule. That pig is gonna pay for what he did to my home!” She runs towards Ganon’s Castle.
The wind blows dryly through the empty canyon where the Castle and its Grounds stood. In place was a giant, floating castle with lava bubbling below. At the top, Ganondorf stares into an orb projecting a picture of a Sheikan running towards his fortress. “The fool. If she thinks she can stop me, let’s see her try.” He laughs and awaits the moment she barges in.
Jin stares up at the dark castle. “Ganondork should sue the person who came up with the design ‘cause it is UGLY.” She backtracks and then runs towards the gap. Leaping as high as she can, she jumps over the space and lands in the doorway. “Hah! That wasn’t so bad.”
Within the castle, monsters guard the doorways. As Jin makes her way past all the obstacles, she begins to wonder why Ganondorf wasn’t trying to stop her. “He probably thinks he’s no match for me!” Her overconfidence takes over making it easier for monsters to sneak up on her.
Hours pass as she climbs the staircases to the top. “Ugh….when’s it gonna end?…” Her sword begins to feel heavy and her legs feel like they’re about to give out. “Geeze…How does Ganondork do this?”
Finally, Jin reaches the top and collapses to the ground. After about fifteen minutes she stands up and opens the huge door. Inside, Ganondorf grins. “I was wondering when you would show up.”
She draws her sword. “Ok, Ganondorf! You’re goin’ down!”
Jin and Ganondorf fought another. However, Jin was no match for him.
She falls onto her knees, sword clashing to the ground. “Ugh…” She forces herself to stand but the wounds are too deep. Ganondorf approaches her. “You never stood a chance in the first place. Now you will die.” He holds out his hand and a green beam shoots out and stabs into Jin. “AUGH!!!!” She clutches herself. Her body felt like it was tearing apart. ”YAAAARGH!!!!” Ganondorf curses under his breath. “Dammit!”
Darkness encloses around Jin and she loses conscious. She feels something hit the ground beside her. No doubt Ganondorf had thrown something heavy on her. I’m sorry princess…that I couldn’t defeat him….
Jin comes to and opens her eyes. Her body felt like it was missing something. It looked like she was no longer in Ganon’s Castle but maybe in front of a mirror. She stares at someone that looks exactly like her. “This mirror is weird…maybe it shows you what you’d look like if you were of the opposite gender.” She sits up but the reflection doesn’t. “…….Okay…” She stretches out her arm and doesn’t feel anything but air. “……..” She is about to grab the person by the shoulder when he opens his eyes.
They stare at each other for a moment and freak out. “WAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!” Jin jumps back and draws her sword, so does the boy. “Who are you!?” They both shout at the same time. Jin examines him. “Hey pal, why are ya copying me?” “I should ask you the same question.”
“Man, this must be a dream….Maybe this is what death is…” She shakes her head. The boy narrows his eyes slightly. “I have no idea what you’re talkin’ about. I just wanna figure out where the heck I am.” “You’re in Hyrule. My name is Jin and yours is?” “It’s…….Leer.”
