31/10/02 Happy Halloween!!!



Hockey!

Budai Krisztián got holiday - he came in civilian clothes

So, went to the Alba Volán - Győr game on Tuesday... It started a bit strange: the teams were kind of equal. The guest team managed to equalize over and over again, and the surprise was that Volán's first line got the goals. Guys, you should pull yourselves together. I mean, I know key players are injured, but please, please, please... (Ez magyarul annyi, mint lécci, lécci, lécci - ala 'Ice Age').

So, they surprised the "crowd" there - at least 50 peole who came out to see the match - and nothing seemed to work for our fabulous five (1st line). I mean the goals were brilliant, the only problem was that there were very few of them on the side of Volán.

The second period came, and our guys seemed to wake up. They scored some goals - two to be exact - and got one, ergo, the match was still open. In the last period then the guys got really into swing and won 4:0. I think Győr just got really tired, or something like that.

Ocskay Gábor Frankie seemes to get better, he doesn't need those sticks - or what are they called - to walk around anymore, Rusznyak did not play - whether because of his penalty, or simply to rest for Saturday against Dunaferr, it remains a mystery till someone enlightens me - Ocskay played extremely well, showing movements I've never seen from him, and never thought I would see, played in a really virtuosic way alongside Palkovics Krisztián. In this virtuosity he gave two assists and his other half scored three goals. Brilliant.

I hope on Saturday Alba Volán shows Dunaferr that they really want the trophies back - I mean, hey, we have even year - and this match does not count anyways, so we can assume that Alba Volán will win.

By the way in Wednesday's Nemzeti Sport you can read about what happened in the Interleague last week, and you can also read that Palkovics Krisztián was choosen best player of the week.

He is also in the "Top scorers" list: Nr. 1 with 7 goals, and in the "Assists" list: Nr. 2 with 6 assists.

Now talking a bit about the youngsters. Some of them also played against Győr. I mean, I've never seen them playing before, but they seem to be really promising. Molnár Ádám even scored a goal. He also fell now and then but ice can be very slippery, we know that. I mean he is still young, he has time to improve. Becze got a chance to stand in the goal towards the end, he looked pretty confident in it, he's only mistake was catching the puck once and making it a "tilos felszabadítás" (I'm gonna provide the right English word for that as soon as I can) and getting told off by Kangyal. He played with the youth in one line, and tried to "teach" them as many thing as he could, and making it safe to bring so many inexperienced played on ice. - I have to tell you, even I got scared as he shouted at Becze, that he made a mistake. He looked pretty pissed off.

Another accident of the evening happened towards the end as out fab five were on ice. Ocskay wanted to shoot the puck as far as he can lifting it, and he accidently hit a man standing with Szuna in the penalty bench area. I don't know whether he lost any of his teeth, or broke his nose, but he bleeding quite stongly. I don't even know who he was, but I wish him a quick recovery.

Marat Safin Tennis!

Marat Safin finally won one of his matches - it was about time he did -, the second round match at the Paris Masters indoor tennis tournament today (Wednesday). He defeated Nalbandian 6-3, 6-2. Good job. See, you can do that.

Michael Ballack's prayers did not help - he got injured, his team got defeated Bayern München!

I don't acually know what to say... They lost the final match against Deportivo La Corunya, they fell out of the Champions League. It was a surprise, but a negative one (not the Manchester-Zalaegerszeg type of surprise, or it depends from which side we view it), and it strongly reminded me of France in this year's World Championships in Korea and Japan. I'm really sorry for Ballack, he got even injured, and some of the others, but it may be a good lesson for the Germans. Their second place in the WC (not the small room where you go to relieve nature) does not mean they are the best. They have to work for that, and have a long way to go.

I fixed the pictures up there and now they work as links - of course not all of them have a page behind, but that was not my concern now.

Moskow!

I cannot leave this topic out of update. Terrible things happened in Moskow this weekend and some 200 people died (terrorists included) by some mysterious gas that the Russian authorities does not want to reveal. I'm not an expert in terrorism but I still think there whould have been or could have been another way to get the hostages out without loosing so many or any of them.

Star Chat - Hockey!

Here you can read the questions to Ladanyi Balázs and his answers, or you can go the Nemzetisport website and read them there. Either way you choose, it is worth reading, he is giving away the "secret" how they defeat Alba Volán over and over again. (Don't expect any earth shattering thing, though!)

Still Hockey but the other town: Alba Volán FeVita - HKM Zvolen (Zólyom) 5:2

It was an easy win, or at least it seemed to be one at the beginning as the guys scored five goals in a row without getting any. Palkovics scored twice alone without any help, Ocskay also fooled the Slovakian goalkeeper once and Majoross and Fedor made the five complete.



So far so good, I would say, but they also seemed to have left their souls backstage bringing only their bodies (and what bodies, oh boy!) back on ice, after a "nice" synchron skating parade by the local girls - remeber my report of their last performance? - as always, it was very "artisic" and amusing.

Back to the match, the guys played pretty well, although there were minor mistakes, missing the shots and so on but I think that belong to the game as well. Budai did a great job in the goal.

I also had the opportunity to observe Ocskay's training method before the match. He "does" the same as his "twin brother": practically nothing. By this I don't mean to say nothing, I mean, I'm sure they know what they're doing, it just seams to be nothing. Although I must say I was qiute surprised that Palkovics tried a lot of shots and other things this time.

You can read a report (meccs jegyzőkönyve) on this match on the Alba Volán official website and a very short part, where Palkovics - the best player on Saturday with two goals and an assist - is talking about the match:

"Palkovics Krisztián, akit a mérkőzés legjobbjának láttunk két gólja és gólpassza okán:

'Remekül kezdtük a mérkőzést, ám utána visszaestünk. Ennek oka egyrészt, hogy átálltunk négy sorra, a fiatalok is lehetőségek kaptak. Másrészt inkább arra koncentráltunk, hogy ne kapjunk gólt. Mindenki úgy gondolta 5-0 után, hogy kissé visszavesz, és inkább a védekezéssel foglalkozik. A Zvolen egyáltalán nem volt gyenge csapat, a jó kezdésünk miatt tűnhetett simának a meccs. So, while the heads of Formula 1 are thinkg about how to stop Michael Schumacher next year Monoya got married! Congratulations to him and his newly wed wife - I don't know the name of. Anyways, sould you be interested, you can find some pictures of them on Yahoo!

Buffy!

Yes, yes, yes!

Last episodes of the 3rd season will be aired on Pro7 at Thursday night (better to say Friday in the early morning) beginning at noon (0:00) going till 3:15 in the morning during a Halloween scary night special, or something like that. It will be a long night, but it will worth watching, believe me. Of course nothing can top episodes like the season 2 ends 'Becoming 1&2', 'Amends' earlier in the 3rd season or 'I Will Remeber You' in Angel's first season, but these episodes can also make some tissues wet.

Updates

In the near future I mean to change the pictures at the top of the page into links to those's peoples pages on this site, and also to make a separate page to the disclamer, but I'll have other things to do this week - learning - so I do not promise them in the near future.

Also: a bit mistake. Some hockey galleries are in the waterpolo section. Sorry, I'll fix it as soon as I can, till then, try to find them there if you are interested in them.

Sister!

Last but not least I have to mention it here, otherwise she would probably kill me, my sister has her second degree. She had her final exam at the university of Pécs and now she only waits for her certificate to get it (on 30th November) alonside some other people dressed like Harry Potter in long black whatevers. (By the way, Pelle Balázs is also going to be there - receiving his degree in economics - though his team is playing on that Saturday against Szentes, I think, but they must have another goalie to tend the goal - I'm already training my finger on the camera button, so he better comes!)

So, congratulations to my big sister!!!


22/10/02 Quick update!!!

Star Chat - Hockey!

You can ask Ladányi Balazs on the Nemzeti Sport website, about anything, and he will answer the questions on Thursday during a Star Chat. So go online!!!

You'll see, he is a nice guy, even though he plays in Dunaferr. By the way, he almost came over to Volan this summer, but then Dunaferr digged out some contract that says he has to stay there for centuries. I bet the reason for not paying to Volán for the players is that they had to offer Ladányi more money to stay than Volán did. Why do I hate Dunaferr, by the way?

Ben Affleck!

Did you know that he and Chris Judd (Mr. Jennifer Lopez Nr.2) were born on the same day? (August 15th) I've just read it on yahoo. It's qiute creepy, isn't it? I couldn't find any site containing Judd's date of birth, though. I'll search for it as soon as I have time for that.

21/10/02 Still updatin'!!!

Fun stuff!

I was surfing online, searching for my site - some search engines should already have it, of course, only in theory - and wrote my name in the engine. I got some really amusing sites containing my name - I'm not alone in this universe with this name. I turned out to be
  • a domina in Berlin (I'm not going to provide the link for that - by the way, the "woman" looks pretty disgusting);
  • a Personal Trust Officer in Denver (Link) - by the way, "I am" married to a media specialist (don't know what that is, but is sounds quite well) and if you check it out look at "my" education - pretty impressive;

  • and finally, Team manager of the Reston Raiders youth hockey team - Yooohooo!!!! I don't know what "I am" doing there but I like the idea - I mean you know I am a hockey freak - what I understood from the site "I" watch the weather forecast, and phone the parents whether to stay at home or bring the kids to the events, and organize the delays if necessary. Sound like fun!!! (Link)Some info about "my" team:
  • club colors are Blue, Black, Silver and White (my favourite colours)
  • the rinks they play in are not far from Washington DC and Dulles International Airport (nowadays I wouldn't like to live around there)
  • non-profit organization established and managed by volunteers (that explains why "I am" always broke)

Buffy, the Vampire Slayer!!!



Kind of a new topic for you, but not for me! I watch it regularly, it's a great show - alongside its spin-off, Angel - and this week we'll a see a special musical episode - "Once More With Feeling" - (Wednesday, 21.15 PRO7) where everybody will sing. Pay attention to Spike (James Marsters), he is member of a band in real life as well, he is fantastic!!

21/10/02 Have some time!!!

Hockey!!!



Let's go back in time: Alba Volán won in Dunaújváros against Dunaferr 4:2! It was a great match, I saw it on the local TV channel. I also saw something that I'd never seen before: Palkovics was sent to the penalty bench for some bad behaviour. And as he came back he continued this bad behaviour where he stopped it. Well, well, well... Bad boy...

Tennis



Mathieu won again, Safin lost again - this time in Lyon. He is a really good tennis player, and only 20 years old. Congratulations! (By the way, nice cup!)

Waterpolo!

I don't really know what's happening anymore in the world of waterpolo. I don't even know the results of the matches, since the newspapers are not writing about the present but about the past. And the whatever committees are also digging in the past (Honvéd-Vasas final in May) instead of leaving it with penalties the participants would deserve.



If I'm not mistaken Honvéd played against FTC: 6:5 - well, considering that Honvéd is full with Olympic winners it's not that bad. Also, Biros (Honvéd) was sent off in the 5-6th minute somewhere, for kicking Pelle Balázs (FTC) and was not allowed to return to the rest of the game. He also has to miss 3 matches.

Football

Of course, it was all about football this week again. The Hungarian national team played against Sweden and San Marino. The draw with Sweden looks like a really good result, and the 3:0 win over San Marino was the end that everyone was waiting for, so the fathers of football can bang their chests, and sream thing like WE ARE BACK, and can go back to nostalgic over 6:3.

But! Let's stop here and digest: San Marino? Where is it? Do they have enough population to set up a football team? It is smaller than an ant on the map. Be careful!

And Gera Zoltán's three goal - good for him - but he should try it against Iker Casillas, or another good goalkeeper not against some no name goalie. I mean it sounds like fun and everything that he is in the dream team with Thierry Henry (or something like that) but it's just one week. We still have a lot to learn. Do not forget that!

Movie



I went to the cinema this week to see The Bourne Identity! Boy, it kicked ass! This is a really good movie I can only suggest everyone to go and see it. Matt Damon does this Kali kind of martial art fighting extremely well, and the Mini Morris car chase is fantastic. I enjoyed every minute of the film, the only thing I didn't like was that the Hungarians made it fit another generation then the Americans thought it was made for: they cut out the whole sex scene. I heard it was pretty face blushing. I mean we could have seen a man like Matt Damon naked, or almost naked, having sex with that woman - not really important - but, we cannot, or at least we have to wait till it comes out on DVD or on anything else. Shame on you!!!



Also some other movies I'm looking forward to seeing are Changing Lanes (Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Affleck), Daredevil (Ben Affleck) - just call me a Ben Affleck freak - and Hollywood Homicide (Harrison Ford, Josh Hartnett). Pictures from the movies respectively:

Hockey

Not so nice things during the week:

  • Csibi József: was take to hospital for having a thrombosis in his leg. He might have to quit doing any kind sports, which would be extremely sad. GET WELL SOON? WE NEED YOU!!!
  • Karol Rusznyák: hit an FTC player during a friendly training match on Wednesday (I think). The other player apparently provoked him and he hit back with the stick. His face had to be stitched together. BAD BOY Rusznyák could now miss several matches or fired.

12/10/02 Quick update, I'm too tired!!!

Hockey!!!


Today starts the national championship, and visitors in Dunaújváros will be able to witness the biggest match in the championship, which kicks off with the two teams most likely to win. I cannot really say anything, I think there are injured players in both teams, still it will be hard, tough, difficult, but Volán has to win. It's a prestige kind of thing.

Go Alba Volán, I'll keep my fingers crossed.




By the way Szuper Levi was sent back to the AHL (right under NHL - kind of a second league) team St. John Flames, which, according to Szuper and his agent, is not a tragedy, he still needs routine and by the way if any goalie in the Calgary Flames gets injured or does not tend the goal well, he'll be called to join.

09/10/02 Small update, but big anger!!!

Ronaldo, again!

Well, he seems to be a permanent pain in my a**. Sorry for it, but that's the truth. I still don't know why do people think he is Mr. Fenomeno or whatever his nickname is. He scored two goals? Big deal, Figo did the same. One of Figo's goal was a penalty shot? Yes, but at the other he took the ball to the goal himself and did not let others serve him. He can do it, Ronaldo cannot. He can only stand in the way and bump in the ball.



Why is it that any player scores a goal, critics, reporters hardly even notice. But Ronaldo scores one and they get an orgasm. Yes, ORGASM! You read it right. I tell you where it would be appropriate to get an orgasm: the goal by Zidane at the Champion's League final this year. That was a goal to notice. Ronaldo? I hope in a few years the appropriate question will be: Ronaldo who?

I actually wanted to put a picture of Ronaldo here, just to lead my "speech" in, but I realized I don't want to waste memory saving his picture. Well, as I said: pain in my a**!!!

Not so nice news in the hockey world!

As you could see in my previous little text I can hate pretty passionately. It may sound as a good advice to Dunaferr, don't make me angry!!

There are some quite bad - and confusing - news in today's Nemzeti Sport about the new players in the hockey teams, and their player licences, and the lack of them.

07/10/02 Huge Update with Even Bigger Problems!!!

Where shall I start?

I made a big update, at last, and then my computer somehow deleted this starting page. Fortunately, I archived the September news before, and I haven't written that much in October yet, but I was really furious.

By the way, I added some articles in the Sport / Icehockey section - I don't make a direct link to them, you should see the whole way how to get there. They look pretty good, but I'll still have a lot of work with them, just not right now.

Icehockey



Very bad news for all Alba Volán fans, the team lost the match against Slavija Optima (0:3) without even scoring a goal. I'm so very sorry for them, but it's not the end of the world, I hope they'll get over it soon, and win against whomever they will play the next match.



They actually won the match on Saturday against Jesenice - which was told to be the stronger team - so congratulation to the guys to that match. Have a good time travelling home!

Tennis



I also wrote, that I saw a tennis match during the weekend, Marat Safin played against Paul-Henri Mathieu. The match was fantastic, I had a really good time, and enjoyed a lot even though I have no idea about tennis. Marat Safin, the Russian guy is the same age as me - and I have to tell you, he is very hot - and plays a very entertaining kind of tennis. He is also very passionate.



Of course the opponent, the French guy, Paul-Henri Mathieu was a hottie as well. I mean see for yourself:



And he is even younger! They played a very tough match, Safin broke his racket, finally, after throwing it down much more than once. And him finally loosing the game to Mathieu:



After this, Mathieu proved himself in the final again where he defeated a Dutch guy and won the Kremlin Cup:

Waterpolo -Italy

Very amusing news from abroad: it seems our guys (Benedek Tibor, Steinmetz Barnabás, Kásás Tamás) are in best form their teams scoring 17 goals to the opponents. Also a funny story from Nemzeti Sport:

Szintén tizenhétnél állt meg a májusi fináléban vesztő Posillipo. A nápolyiak nem kerültek tüdőrobbanás-közeli helyzetbe a négyszer kilenc perc során, fél gőzzel, vagy ha úgy tetszik, fél kézzel intézték le a Cataniát. "Nem igazán erre a mérkőzésre hegyeztük ki a felkészülést, merthogy az utóbbi hetekben annyit edzettünk, mint még soha” – vont mérleget a két gólt jegyző Steinmetz Barnabás. Négyig jutó barátja, Kásás Tamás szerint érződött, hogy "ólomkarokkal játszottunk a kemény edzések miatt”, ettől függetlenül majdnem sikerült tizennyolcról gólt lőnie az egyik negyed végén. "Egy felkészülési tornán, Bariban már összejött ugyanez, és most is bent láttam, de a kapus ujjheggyel kitolta.”

A nap nagy eseményére mindazonáltal estefelé került sor, amikor Kásás rezidenciáján megünnepelték Steinmetz Barna születésnapját, a csapathoz most nyáron odaigazolt két olasszal, Felugóval és Desertivel kiegészítve. A buli fénypontjaként a tetőteraszról akartak madzagon leereszteni egy műanyag asztalt a lakásba (nem fért le a szűkös lejárón), ám mielőtt Steinmetz az ablakon kinyúlva behúzhatta volna, a kötél elszakadt, a bútor pedig hatalmas robajjal a mélybe zúdult. Még szerencse, hogy épp akkoriban senki nem járt az utcán, elvégre elég furán hangzott volna a mese, miszerint "épp arra jártam, amikor a fejemre esett egy asztal…”

A Dominóban továbbra sem játszott csuklósérülése miatt Biros és eltiltása miatt Szívós, ám ennek ellenére végig magabiztos, esélyeshez méltó teljesítményt nyújtott a BHSE. Fodorék az elején elkapták a fonalat, rendre megúsztak, lefordultak, az emberelőnyös helyzeteiket is jobban használták ki, mint egy héttel korábban, és a csapat is egységesebbnek tűnt. A vendégekben Szebeni emberelőnyös találatai tartották a lelket, de a sorozatos lefordulások ellen – ebben főleg Fodor jeleskedett – ez nem volt ellenszer. A szentesi csapat végül elfáradt, olyanynyira, hogy az utolsó negyedben csak egy gólra futotta az erejükből, mi több, a veterán Tóth Imre is lefordulásból volt eredményes.

Kovács István: – Erőben jobbak voltunk, mint a múlt héten, gratulálok a csapatomnak.

Kádár József: – Jól kezdtünk, de a végén megmutatkozott a két csapat közti tudáskülönbség.

Mindeközben a Ferencváros egyese kikapcsolódásként a könyveket bújja (a pécsi Tudományegyetem közgáz szakán, pénzügy szakirányon árképzésből írja a diplomamunkáját), de mint magyarázta: "Ahogy teltek-múltak a napok, egyre inkább a Vasas elleni meccs járt a fejemben. Az elmúlt egy hétben tovább csiszoltunk a gépezetet, gyakoroltuk mindazt, amit az edzőnk számon kér tőlünk. Természetesen erre a rangadóra külön taktikai elemeket, sémákat is előveszünk, mindent megteszünk a győzelemért” – kezdte Pelle Balázs, aki annak idején pont Kósz Zoltán érkezésekor vált második számú kapussá a Fradiban, és igazolt inkább a Honvédba.

"Három évig voltam a Kőér utcában, jól éreztem magam, ám nem bánom, hogy visszatértem a Népligetbe. Már hiányzott az uszoda, ahol felnőttem, ahol elkezdtem úszni. Fantasztikus érzés volt egy hete, az Újpest ellen a Ferencvárosban szerepelni. A csapattársaktól, az edzőtől a szurkolókon át mindenkitől érzem a bizalmat, ami pluszerőt kölcsönöz nekem” – folytatta a zöld-fehérek játékosa. A lilák ellen remekül védett, négyméterest hárított, az öt kapott góllal a Vasas ellen is kiegyezne. Naná, hiszen jól tudja, ezúttal sokkalt nehezebb dolga lesz, Madaras, Vindisch vagy Tóth Frank bombáit kellene hatástalanítania. "És Binder Szabiét, ezt se feledjük! – vág közbe, mintegy igazolva, fel van készülve az angyalföldiekből. – Jól lőnek, gyorsak, még az eltiltottak nélkül is kiváló csapatot alkotnak. Nagy meccs lesz, nyilvánvaló. Mindazonáltal azt mondom, ha betartjuk edzőnk, Gyöngyösi András utasításait, reális esélyünk van a győzelemre.” Szóval, Vasas–FTC rögtön a második fordulóban – a kispadon a felfüggesztett edzőt, Somossy Józsefet várhatóan ismét Földi László helyettesíti –, rangadó, amely sok mindent eldönthet, amely igencsak próbára teheti a két kiváló kapust. Ismerve őket persze azt is kijelenthetjük: a támadóknak is felettébb el kell majd gondolkozniuk, hova is lőjenek…

28/09/02 (Saturday): Alba Volán FeVita - Medvescsak Zagreb 8:0

The ominous match that lasted almost for ten minutes. You may remember, I wrote that after ten minutes almost the complete Medvescsak team was sitting on the penalty bench and they simply gave up and went back to the dressing room. The referee whistled three times, the match was over, the stand was 1:0 to Alba Volán.

It seemed we could go home... - which would have been a shame actually, because Kovács Frank, who is injured and was operated about two weeks ago was sitting next to us, and he had a wonderful voice as he was commenting on the game... - then some miracle happened - about 45 minutes later - and the teams started to pour back. Finally they played a very good match, Alba won, Medvescsak never had a chance to even score a goal, everything seemed very well.

Still, to go back to Frankie - as everyone calls him - he was so sweet as he came up with his crutches - his heel had been operated - as the man on his side greeted us - we don't know his name but we have some common friends, and by the way he has some spiffy suits, and a hawk nose - and Frankie not having the slightest idea who we were, he greeted us as well. Such a sweetheart. Get well soon, the team needs you!!

29/09/02 (Sunday): Alba Volán FeVita - Vojvodina 8:1

And finally the match on Sunday. No real scandals, just a nice surprise: the former Volán goalie Roman Mega changed exactly to Vojvodina, and although without a proper T-shirt, but he tended the goal of the guest team. (Do you see the result? He got 8 goals, maybe it's better this way, that he is not more here.) To turn back to my feminine site, his T-shirt was not really appropriate here, I think, it seemed a bit tight, and after the first period he even lost the number from it. And the rest of his team could also was their T-shirts, because they looked really dirty. On the other hand, Alba Volán looked so elegant in their shiny blue-white clothes. (The only positive improvement was from Saturday, that Vojvodina, compared to Medvescsak, did not play in blue-white, but in red, so it was way easier to tell them apart. Just for the record, I am not blond - =stupid - I just die my hair light brown, and I never made the mistake to cheer for the opposing team.)

Frankie never reached the top seats, he remained somewhere lower in the tribune, he learned from earlier experiences. Ocskay had his girlfriend with him on both days, she looks really nice (Pálinger Katalin - goalkeeper of the Dunaferr Women Handball team) and they seemed to be pretty much in love - of course not in the way of being all over of each other all the time. And it's not me being jealous or anything. Wait a minute, I have to go further away from the keyboard to wipe away my tears - wet is not good for it... So, I was just joking.

I almost forgot to write about the match itself, it was good, full with wrestling, but still nice to watch, knowing that they won't get hurt in so much pads. Palkovics was in good form over the weekend, he had several assists and scored some goals. By the way, before the first match he was chosen best own trained player of Alba Volán FeVita in the year 2001. Congratulations!!! I even saw the prize - a very nice plate thingy - from very close.

3. Plussz-mínusz

+ Parádésan kezdte az idényt a Dunaferr: négy mérkőzést úszott meg kapott gól nélkül, amikor vasárnap beletaláltak Halmosi kapujába. A rekord így is bámulatos, hiszen 64 gólt lőttek zsinórban az Acélbikák, miközben 273 perc 53 másodpercig maradt érintetlen a hálójuk.

- Nagy várakozás előzte meg a HKM Zvolen bemutatkozását, hiszen májusban a szlovákok nyerték a világbajnokságot, a csapat pedig az ottani bajnokság Extraligájának ezüstérmese. Nos, a zólyomi szakvezetés a nagycsapat közvetlen utánpótlásának (a játékosok többsége húsz év körüli) ad játéklehetőséget az Interligában, így viszont elcsíphető a Zvolen is.

A Dunaferr centerét néhány évvel ezelőtt sokan Ancsin János utódjának tartották: ő is remekül cselez, jól lát a pályán és amellett, hogy gólerős, remekül hozza helyzetbe a társait. Két évvel ezelőtt súlyosan megsérült, egy idényt ki is kellett hagynia, s ez alaposan visszavetette. Úgy tűnik, mostanra megtalálta régi önmagát, négy góllal és három gólpasszal vétette magát észre.

(Well, being a fan of Alba Volán FeVita, and seeing the tables and statistics up there, I have to tell you I don't really get this answer - can these people really count? I still think Palkovics wa the best of our players - and the local newspaper says that too - but anyways, it's not the most important issue here.)

A hét végén már jóval nehezebb dolguk lesz a magyar csapatoknak, ugyanis idegenben játszanak, ráadásul a Volánnak szombaton, a Dunaferrnek pedig vasárnap a legutóbbi bronzérmes Jesenice lesz az ellenfele.

The national championships have begun, and I've heard only good news from my favourites. Of course, Honvéd is stronger than ever, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for FTC as well, and hopefully at the end of the year Pelle Balázs can return to the national team, having proved to be the best goalie. The start is at least very promising. Read for yourself:

Idényi eleji forma márpedig létezik. A Népligetben a kézicsarnokból átszivárgó szurkolókkal együtt mintegy háromszázan voltak szemtanúi annak, hogy a Fradi és az Újpest hibákkal tarkított öszszecsapáson gyömöszöli egymást. A hazaiak, a tapasztaltabb játékosokkal kiálló hazaiak 3-1-re, majd 5–2-re vezettek, de Gyöngyösi András néhány mozdulatán is látszott: messze nem tökéletesen működik még a gépezet. Az Újpest becsületére legyen mondva, egy pillanatra sem adta fel, a harmadik negyedben egy gólra is felzárkózhatott volna a Csapó Gábor vezette alakulat, ám az időkérés után parlagon maradt a fór, elcsente a labdát Nyéki Balázs… Rutintalanság, nem vitás. De hogy a szebb momentumokat is kiemeljük: Pelle Balázs négyest fogott, megbízhatóan védett; a másik visszatérő, Székely Bulcsú ugyan még biztosan lesz jobb, de már most is remekül irányította társait; Hosnyánszky Norbert gyönyörűen lövöldözte át az ellen falát; Létay Krisztián ismét igazolta tehetségét; Kovács Róbert akaratereje szép találatokat eredményezett. És említsük meg Tóth Lászlót, az elnyomhatatlan exválogatott pólóst, a még mindig bivalyerős centert, aki főszerepet vállalt a zöldek sikerében.

Az első félidőben jól játszott az OSC. A harmadik negyedben – ekkor még 4–3 volt – a Honvéd-tábor ébresztőt fújt, amit először Bereczki hallott meg, és Kiss Gergővel karöltve behozhatatlanra hízlalta az előnyt. Az OSC-n látszott, jól sikerült a felkészülése, ütőképes csapatot tudtak öszszehozni.

Kovács István: – Még döcögött a játék, látszik, hogy csak két hete vagyunk együtt. Sokat kell még gyakorolnunk.
