Congratulations!!! The guys played a wonderful match – at least according to the local newspaper – but it was not only about two teams trying to win, it actually turned into a box match at the end beating each other like hell!!! We know they are totally safe in their special protecting clothes, so it must have been a great show. Although, the most important fact that I should mention was that the „best” players were missing, I could say that the third and fourth line beat the other team! Well done, guys!!!Nonika is proud of you!!!
The National Team had a last warm up before they headed to England to play in the European Ice Hockey Challenge (the name of the tournament).

An interview with the best player of Belgrad and the best scorer, Tamás Kásás can be read on the Nemzeti Sport website. If you click here and here they will hopefully open in separate windows for you. Read for yourself!

I can’t seem to remember anything besides the canoe and kayak World Championships in Sevilla where almost all of our contesters reached the finals.
Congratulations to them!!! I, of course, wish the rest of them a good qualifying for the finals on Friday.
I would like to say it was a hard day for me – getting up early, walking a lot in the hot, and in the busy traffic producing smog diligently – but my sister would actually kill me, since she had an exam on top of all these, so I have to say here that she had a worse day.
Anyways…
I don’t know anything about Sevilla, and the semifinals, let’s hope for the best.
But, I do know the first result in the Hockey Euroleague: not the best result.
I don’t know who scored this single goal, it doesn’t really matter, but unfortunately we lost it. (New info on Saturday: the scorer of the single Hungarian goal was Krisztian Palkovics one of our favourite palyers. The teams best player was the goalie, Levente Szuper!)
At this point, I swore I would keep my fingers strongly crossed in the following two days, when Hungary playes against Slovenia and England. They are not easy opponents either, but I have a strong trust in the talents of the guys, and if our first line starts their offensive, even the Chineese Wall cannot withstand it!!!
I felt they deserve it to be written in capital letters. Zinedine Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Luis Figo, Iker Casillas and their mates played dream-football. I mean I cannot describe what I felt while they were playing out there. Beautiful!!! Those dribbles!!! Fantastic. If you missed it, you missed probably the match of the year if not the century! But keep watching Eurosport they may replay the whole match throughout the next week. It is really worth seeing!
So, two gold medals, two bronze medals. Not what we expected, but anyways... Congratulations! We'll see what happens on Sunday!
Yes, but only once and the main problem was the three goals that Slovenia scored. But, hey, they actually play in the elite league, so the guys eventually did a great job!
The summary of the tournament so far: two deafeats but both opponents were a lot stronger then Hunagry, and, by the way, this tournament is seen as "training" for the next year's World Championships in Budapest. So we can say that they could hold their own against strong teams! Wonderful!!!
Report about a very bad thing: (from Nemzeti Sport)
Well we, of course, send all our best wishes! Get well soon! We need you!!
So, I haven't seen the medal ceremony, or I don't know how it called here, I didn't really want to see Schumacher once again there. I'll be honest: it starts to get more and more boring. Schumacher winning everything - he may deserve some of it, but I'm in big row with myself if he deserves all those things - and the rest running after him and picking up the rest.
I was sorry for Kimi. He had a good race but ince again the engine had another plan and was not willing to cooperate. Next time, more luck!
I kept my fingers crossed for David (Coulthard), but he couldn't take Montoya over. Anyways, a mostly boring race with some interesting moments, and it was good to see Mercedes getting better and better with every weekend, they are on the best way to get back to the elite!
Well done, guys!
I've seen most of the finals, the girls were fantastic, they won in almost all categories gold!!! Brilliant!!! The guys were not in their best forms and the opponents were really strong but they still could add some memorable moments to this year's World Championships.
Does this look familiar? Yes, but this time it is not football, but hockey.
The Hungarian Team defeated the British once again! Two of our frorwards played an excellent game, each scored twice (Ladányi, Palkovics) and they had a massive defence with the ever super Levente Szuper as well.
Our favourite team ended up as third (out of four) in the tournament, but it will continue in November in Székesfehérvár and in Dunaújváros. Till then the guys will have enough time to prepare for the mqatches and get back into bombastic forms, and there will hopefully be enough time for Ocskay to heal his leg in any way the doctors can do. (Think of Beckham's injury. Now we can try it as well. Put your hands on some nemwspaper where you can see his leg and concentrate... I said concentrate!... See, it's starting to get better and better... - Well,...)
End result:
| Country | Wins | Draws | Lost | Goals(S-G) | Points |
| 1. Belarus | 3 | - | - | 12-3 | 6 |
| 2. Slovenia | 1 | 1 | 1 | 9-9 | 3 |
| 3. Hungary | 1 | - | 2 | 8-8 | 2 |
| 4. Great Britain | - | 1 | 2 | 7-16 | 1 |
My opinion on this issue: does Real Madrid really need one more top forward? I mean I've seen them on Friday (read my report about that) and I think they are pretty strong without a Ronaldo.
The other thing is that they already have more than enough people that's why players like McManaman, Morientes and so on are sitting on the bank. What a luxurious club. They can afford to have players like them on the bench. I mean Real Madrid should have put out the "FULL" sign long ago.
The other: I don't think Ronaldo is so fantastic. I mean he was top scorer at the World Cup, but come on, admit it, the best players served him with the best passes and all he had to do was to stay in front of the goal and be "in the way" of the ball. Ok, he may be a good player, but not that good, and if they sell Morientes for him, I'll never forgive the club!!! I mean it!!!
(On Friday during the medal ceremony as Morientes came out with two other guys in suits - they looked hot by the way - I saw that he was somehow behaving in a strange way, he couldn't celebrate like the others. Now I know the reason for it - Ronaldo - and I personally would comfort him - Morientes -any time. Too bad that he is married. Well, you know the saying, the good guys are either married or gay.)
So I spent some days away from my computer and from the net, I'm behind with news and everything but I relaxed a lot, and realised that probably there is still hope and I'm not net addicted!!!
Ok, back to sport. I have a lot to comment!
Ok, all the big stars came, then my fab faves played only 45 minutes, and I couldn't really see Iker Casillas because the Hungarians couldn't even reach the territory of the Spanish goal. He had nothing to do, but he was never on screen either. What a pity! And the two others, Morientes and Raul, played very shortly and couldn't score a single goal. Shame on yoursleves!!!

This was not so Ok! The Russians defeated us already at the first match, never mind, it didn't really count. From the third match the Hungarians played as it is written in the school books. Beautiful! They defeated the Yugos TWICE, and then the final was left, only. We, at least, thought this. And then...
Anyways, this tournament had its strange and funny thingies again, and - surprise, surprise - the Hungarian team was again affected by these "brand new rules", but we showed them that we are better than everybody, even if our medal is not gold but silver.

Now I could write "I told you" - and, well I do actually - that they should score at least five goals against us. And what brilliant goals they were (especially the second free kick goal from Beckham). Zalaegerszeg showed that they are anything but at the same level with MU and I liked it. You can even hate me for this, but I enjoyed the match, and personally would have been very curious how many goals they could have scored if ZTE had stayed there without a goalkeeper. (I'm so mean.) Anyways, a good match, and I hope everybody will come back to earth after this and we will not see another riport on "Bela Koplarovics's Life and Work" (értsd: "Koplárovics Béla Élete és Munkássága/Pályája" vagy valami hasonló) on RTL Klub's Fikusz. That was so pathetic.

Last week Alba Volan won in Slovakia against Nagytopolcsany (7:6)! Palkovics alone scored 3 out of the 7.
Ok, I'm not gonna be there (I really would like to, but...)because all the big names, probably the first two lines of the team, will miss the game, they travel to Nottingham, England tomorrow to participate in the European Icehockey Chalange.
Well, I don't know how you celebrated it, I didn't do anything special, just chilling out with my family. Anyways, it's a big day, national holiday and so on, have fun!!!
Before I go over to waterpolo, I sould mention the football match tonight against Spain, big time football match!!! We'll see all the big stars like Iker Casillas, Raul and Morientes, very cute guys, so girls, keep watching!!!

Other big issue nowadays is the Waterpolo World Cup in Belgrad. The Hungarian National Team is the defender in everything - I don't really know, but let's hope so - so we keep our fingers crossed.
Yesterday (Tuesday) they already had the first match against Russia, what a surprise, at least the 6th match with them, and unfortunately they lost. Let's hope that they'll get better and better.
I don't know how to begin with this. I saw the match yesterday, and I was totally "surprised". I should say now that I was positively surprised because Zalaegerszeg won - being Hungarian -, but instead - thinking that Hungarian football sucks - I say that I was totally shocked that Manchester couldn't score at least five goals against the Hungarians. Well, anything can happen and we still have the 2nd leg so better luck next time guys!!!
Now, of course, everyone is talking about how the Hungarians are the best, etc. But stop here and think about it for a moment. (They just had luck. - ed.) Hungarian football is practically a joke. I mean, come on, we don't even have a stadium for such an event. Half of that building is dangerous. And the "fans"? They were beating each other. And not the Brits were beating the Hungarians, no, the Hungarians each other! Is this really football? They "could" watch a team like Manchester United, packed with stars - even if they lost here - probably once in their lifetimes and, again, they are NOT paying attention to the match. I don't think we can be proud of that. (Well, schwamm darüber... or something like that.)
Anyways, some pictures from the match I've found on Yahoo with the original additional text (Note: pay attention to the variations of the word Zalaegerszeg):

Something else. Today (August 15th) is a special day. It's the 30th birthday of Ben Affleck.
Some pictures of him - really worth seeing! (Click on the links, will pop up in a new window):
Laughing,
Serious,
Troubled.
I know, I sound totally foolish with this admiration, but that's how I feel. And I am totally heartbroken (and my sisiter even more) about the recent news. Do not misunderstand me, I'm happy for him, really, but when he was talking about planning a family, and so on I was not actually thinking about him doing this with Jennifer Lopez. I mean she is great, and everything, but can you imagine her - on the top of her career - to have children and stay at home and cook for our Bennie? I, personally, cannot. And my opinion about what this MAN needs right now - after alcohol rehab, and everything - is a simple and possibly normal life, a place where he can go after the madness he experiences in the showbusiness. Anyways, I hope he knows what he is doing.
Untill I have some new information check these pictures out (warning! he is with Jennifer on them):

Ok, a bit of a disclaimer here: by checking this site out and seeing the topics this site offers to you DO NOT think that I am ignorant, or selfish, or live in a bubble and that I don't know what is going on around me. I just mean that when I'm doing my site (just as when I'm watching tv) I like to leave all the problems of the world and my life (not that I have that much) behind. That's why this page is called Nono's Dream Land and not Nono's News Stand or something like that.
BUT: I know about the flooding in Europe and personally, I think this is terrible. Fortunately, I live in an area, where it is not a danger, but it must be absolutely terrifying for those involved in it. Let's hope for the best!!!
