Acro-osteolysis:loss of terminal tufts of digits

Arthritic:stiff from arthritis

Arthritis:illness where joint becomes swollen and stiff

Arthrosis: a degenerative disease of a joint

Atherosclerosis:a form of arteriosclerosis characterized by the deposit of atheromatus plaques on the innermost layer of the wall of large or medium sized arteries (coronary artery disease)

Atheromatus plaques:a deposit or degenerative accumulation of lipid-containgin plaques on the innermost layer of the wall of an artery

Atrophy:wasting away or decrease in size of a body organ, tissue, or part owing to disease, injury, or lacking of use

Cardiovascular:referring to the heart and the blood circulation system

Coxa Valga:inward curvature of the hip. Malformation of the hip at birth, such as coxa valga, can increase one's risk for development of osteoarthritis of the hip in later life.

Deciduous teeth:fallign out at a specific stage of growth

Diabetes:illness where the sugar content of the blood rises due to lack of insulin

Diagnosis:identification of an illness

Dwarfism:premature cessation of growth

Fontanelle:soft membrane between the pieces of the skull of a baby (the anterior soft spot)

Hyaluronic Acid:a gel like aminoglycan that is found in the tissue space, the synovial fluid of joints, and the vitreous humor of the eyes and acts as a binding, lubricating and protective agent

Hypo plastic (facial bones) :underdevelopment or incomplete development of a tissue or organ.

Macrocephaly:large head compared to the size of the face

Micrognathia:small jaw

Mutant:abnormal

Myocardial Infarction: heart attack; "myocardial infarction" focuses on the heart muscle (the myocardium) and the changes that occur in it due to sudden (acute) deprivation of circulating blood. The main change is death (necrosis) of myocardial tissue.

Progeria: (proh-jihr-ee-uh) an extremely rare disorder that causes premature aging in children

Prognosis:probable future course of a disease.

Respiratory:referring to breathing

Stroke:illness/paralysis caused by damage to part of the brain

Wizened:shrunken or wrinkled

Wormian bones:smalll ossicles within cranial suture lines
