Including today, only 3 days to Christmas. But wait, there is life after Christmas. That cold reminder came this morning when Lt. Smith called me to see if I was available for overtime the day after. After a brief exchange with Merry, I decided I might as well, since she will most likely be working also. I called but the OT had been snatched up already by Tenniswood. But the following day was open, so there ya go. My vacation ends on day early and my work week is already going to be a straight seven in a row.
The laundry was massive and actually continues although I have moved on. The clothes are done, now to the Scooby couch covers, as we may have an overnighter or two depending on how much prime rib June or Rusty consumes. That is one comfortable futon.


Soon I will be going to Keen's. Merry pointed out Monday that they have the Heartwood Creek collection of assorted carved wooden Holiday figures and on sale.


I also need to get her some nice gloves, and I don't know what the hell else. Perhaps some clothes? And a trip to Miejer to get the prime rib which should be trimmed by now as well as the 37 lb. bag of Fit and Trim for the beast which was not in stock yesterday. I will also cruise to find assorted stocking stuffers for the masses.
That reminds me, Chipper has a card from June I need to place in his mailbox along with a card from us.
Well, better get a move on.

Finally had the opportunity to see my little girl yesterday. Wish the circumstances had been better but I think she will be OK. We went to Darb's and had spicey chicken wings and pizza. Very tasty.
I'm looking forward to seeing June, and Rusty and Logan and his girlfriend Gina, as well as Molly over the Christmas Holiday.
Was able to order a new HMO card this morning as mine was spirited away by Chinese people when I was in the emergency room last week.
What's on the agenda today? Well since I was with my beautiful daughter unMy Songexpectantly It is the same.

A slow but satisfying morning

It's 1111. Palindromic, like Merry's age.
I have read the entire paper, mostly in the bathtub enjoying the solitude of the morning after driving Merry to work. Her suggestion, so that she won't spend to much time hanging out afterwards.
Her birthday went well. Morning opening of presents, then a meal at BigBoy. Stuffed we retired for a long nap. After which I had a haircut and she shopped at Keen's. Afterwards we went to the Jar for a snootful, and lost wages to KENO, and then off to Corey's for Italian subs, Rubens, and the delicious rum tort from Roma Bakery I had picked up that morning. We shared with the waitress and bartender and shift manager Tony, I think that was his name. Then stopped back by the Jar to share the same with Deb and the waitress.
Stuffed like sausages we slept deeply. Me dreaming of laying around with a band as it warmed up then performed at a dark indeterminate venue. Another band came by and was it seems better in some way. The dream continued with me getting into a steel tube with explosives inside, helping to determine the usefulness of the new unexplained aircraft. I adamantly refused to do it a second time but others were willing as I listened to the rather muffled report of the explosion after the end of the tube was sealed. The person emerged, none the worse for wear as we watched the large and strange aircraft fly over us.
Perhaps it was the corned beef. Maybe the pepperoncinis.

Can't sleep. Took a nice long tubby but I normally get up this early. Been sleeping since early evening when I finally pooped out from partyin so early in the day.
This new day will bring Merry's Birthday. I'll be having my cholesterol checked this morning and will pick up Merry's rum cake from Roma Bakery. Being hungry may have something to do with my aversion to sleep, and thoughts of veggie subs and pizza as the idea of reducing my cholesterol prompts me to reconsider my diet as well as the memory of the great shape I was in when I was working out hard and eating right years gone by.Vegweb

It's been a whopping 5 hours since my last posting and let me tell you all, It's been jam packed with awesome events that excite yet depress me. As you all know Merry is going to open a bakery as of August, oops that's right, Did not happen, Lawyers, confusion, wasted money. Ok, let's drop that topic.

What can I say?

Well, I'm not sure why I'm adding an entry here. I just don't make time to keep this blog updated. Not that I would not like to but, like so many things in life I just don't seem to motivated to do it.
Now that the year is nearly at an end it's time to reflect. For sure my doctor would like me to get some priorities right. My lifestyle not to mention my diet, propensitys for consuming everything that you should not including huge amount of Whiskey and cigerettes, even though I have cut out the caffiene. I feel on the edge of making a new start at self control but doesn't everyone feel that way this time of year?
Well, a Merry Christmas to all and hopefully more to come. Soon and often.

Well mom hope your operation went well. Let me know if you have any extra pain meds. My bills are killing me. The price of gas, over the top plate renewals, taxes. If the gods are kind to me Merry will have her own Bakery soon. For now I will bury my pain with healthy doses of Merry's fine cooking and generous amounts of Keslers.

The lottery club must pay up folks. So far Braman and Miller need to kick in for May.

And just a reminder. The Gov.s contempt for my services is still very apparent as she is still screwing me out of 4 hours of pay per paycheck. That's $84.52 a check. Lets not have the residents of Michigan pay for keeping the baby rapers and worse behind bars anymore.

Merry and I watched Alien VS. Predator I had already seen it as a crappy download. This was after goofing it up and downloading this fine film in Russian, then French by mistake. I found the film OK. I had trouble getting into the film as most people would but I had not read the Dark Horse comics and was not into it. Merry LOVED it. To my shock she thought it was awesome? Well I guess that's one thumbs up from her. I rent it again, NOT.For me it was just to unbelievable. With todays computer generated images I can be lulled into a false sense of realism as easily as anyone but the blatant disregard for reality for example hanging out in the antarctic in a shirt with no coat during a storm was just to much for me.

AVP: Alien Vs. Predator



Next movie is Dodgeball. Merry found this movie to be a hoot and you get a thumbs up on this one from her. The silliness and off the wall laughs are what made it for her as well as Patches O'Houlihans untimely demise which made me wake up when Merry was laughing. Could have been the entire pizza I ate or the same old Ben Stiller, Zoolander character but I found the film only mildly amusing. I must admit that if I had seen the parts I slept through it might have left a better impression on me.I would still recommend seeing it though.

Finally our last review is for Napoleon Dynamite. This movie was well rated by my pals and appeared to be very funny from the trailers. Merry and I both really liked it.We were told that it is so stupid it's funny. Even Belen said so, the only endorsement of a movie I ever heard from him. I believe the more you watch it the more you will get out of it. The whole concept was very well conceived. On the DVD you can see the short black and white home movie made that inspired this full length movie. A total lack of crude language and gratuitous crap resulted in a Funny movie that brings it all home to us geeks(of course I was one of them ) to any one even a little like this guy in grade school. This is a must rent movie. One thing the character that played the Uncle kept reminding me of someone I had seen before, it turned out to be Jon Gries who played Laslo in the movie Real Genius.

1st. blog, and 1st. blog entry. Merry and I are going to Artesian Wells this afternoon to say goodbye to John Clark. Off to RGC on days. Good luck John. I plan on getting a good BUZZ on at your going away party.

Well, we sent off John Clark in typical ATF/MDOC style by sitting around and drinking. At the facility John was doused repeatedly with water from the towers. Merry and I arrived at Artesian Wells about 1330 and we ate. She enjoyed Some awesome homemade style chicken soup and half a BLT. I had the 5 for$5 Angus mini burgers. All were great except for the appetizer which was stuffed portabella mushrooms, not unlike someone had consumed a sausage pizza then puked on some mushrooms. YUMMY. Belen, a co worker on transportation arrived after Merry and I sat at the bar, but after an hour he left. I was ready to go also when around 1530 they started showing up. Merry had the chance to meet several of my co workers, happy to meet most of them and naturally glad to not meet others. Both John and Marty strongly recomend that I go to Jackson myself. I shall consider it

Merry and I followed the event with a stop at Leslies finest (both) Bar and Grills.Shaggys Bar offers no credit card service and very small selection of beers. I had the opportunity to notice that the mens room has no stall for the shitter so I enjoyed a long piss while an old and scruffy guy took a long and very smelly dump at the same time. More than ready to take off we went across the street to the Crossroads., I noted that the bathroom was set up the same as Shaggys only more cramped but outside of that it was a pretty classy joint with Two of Michigan Brewery's best on tap. I enjoyed a wheat brew. I have never had a deep fried chili dog but it was good enough to try again
