Sasami - the youngest and most caring character in the show. She is 8 years old and is linked with the magical Tsunami. She is almost always seen with her best friend, Ryo-ohki, the cat look-alike that loves to eat carrots. She can really cook! Sasami also has mysterious magical powers, but does not use them often. They met when Tenchi was playing baseball and found Ryo-ohki hurt when looking for a lost baseball-- Sasami came back to get Ryo-ohki and they met right there (This was in Tenchi In Tokyo.) They originally met, in Tenchi Muyo, when Ryoko, whom had just risen from her 3,000 year sleep, was fighting Ayeka and Tenchi was on her ship, struggling to get out of the branches that were trapping him in his prison. Sasami showed up, and innocently let him out and Tenchi used her to try to get his sword back. Eventually, Tenchi realizes what kind of person Sasami is. Tenchi likes to be around Sasami because she is calm and caring, and doesn't act so hyper and strange like Ryoko does when she gets around him. Ayeka is her big sister, but Ayeka REALLY loves Tenchi and competes with Ryoko.
