January 10, 2000Okay so it's been a while.But uh, so my weekend was pretty good. Very busy, but nice. Saturday I woke up early @ 10am because my dad called me to tell me that he needed some papers showing my enrollment status for our insurance. Then Betty called me and we made plans to meet up. We ended up going to her nearby theatre to see "Cider House Rules." It was pretty good! And really sweet and touching and all that kind of mushy stuff. It was a little over two hours but I hardly noticed. Two older women behind us wouldn't stop crying though. But who am I to really say anything about them, because I had a tear or five during it. *sheepish grin* Then we rode the bus downtown and I did some excellent shopping. At this wind-up store, I bought a CLOCK! It has a kitty on it and a swinging kitty tail. It was only $7.50! I bought some other things too..which were pretty cool. Then I went home around 5pm. I showed Lar all the things I bought and hung up the clock as well. It looks nice! Then we went to UVillage to shop around. I went to Abercrombie & Fitch to look for my pants but they didn't have them anymore. *d'oh* We stopped off at Radio Shack and I bought a few more things. *heh* A froggie flashlight! It's shaped like a frog, and you push a button to make his mouth open/the light go on, and then you close his mouth to make the light go off. He makes me laugh! Then we went to QFC for some grocery shopping and we bought a lot of stuff. Real foodstuffs too, not just snacks. So it was definitely a productive trip. Then we went to Taco Del Mar and got burritos for dinner. After that we went to Trader Joe's to get more pad thai noodle packs and mac&cheez. Also went to the Wherehouse to get a movie, but we couldn't find anything so we just left. That was a waste of time. :P~ But he and I hung out and did stuff. I cleaned the other room up, sewed some stuff, wrapped stuff, and packed some stuff! BTW, I just got my tickets right now! The delivery guy just knocked on the door and I HAVE them right now on my lap! We didn't stay up too late doing stuff though. I did get a chance to talk to Meesh. She was feeling sad, of horse, cuz she was leaving for Norway the next day. But it was nice talking to her, you know? Then on Sunday she called us again! @10.30am. Awwwww, so we exchanged some "bulbasaur!" and "jiggly-puff!" and then she go bye-bye. Apparently everyone was already in the van outside but she was still inside the house talking to us. Awwwwww!!! Lar and I laid around some more. We were supposed to go out on the Ave to run some errands, but by the time came, I was pretty tired. I don't know why. So I made us pad thai for dinner around 6pm. It turned out a lot better than the first time! I'm an expert! *G* So then Lar started verka on his paper, and I was supposed to study but I was all wound up from everything. So I did just about everything else! :P Monday was another day of school. I guess the day went by quickly since it was only two hours. Afterwards, I met up with Annie and we talked at By George for her break. I had a lot of errands to do, one taking place at Schmidtz. I completed the task easily, sending an enrollment confirmation letter home to my dad for insurance purposes. Lar got home and then we went out on the Ave for other stuffs. I went to return my 209 book. Then I went to Bartell's while Lar went to Off-Campus Books. I bought many things! Particularly another toothbrush holder since Lar left mine in Georgia! *ha!* I ran into a girl I went to high school with (she's coo) so that was a nice surprise. Then he and I went home and did some verk. For dinner we had clam chowder but no saltines! So he went out and bought some and another cable for his system while I cooked and worked on my CMU application. That was about it for the day. So yeah! I got my tickets today as well! I'm pretty very mucho excited now.....Hehe... Last old entry was January 7, 2000. January 12, 2000: I heard from Meesh!Well, big news for the day is that I got an email from Meesh!!! It was just a short message because she was sharing net time with someone else. But as far as I can tell, I think things are goo for her. I plan on sending a letter to her at the end of the week before I go to California! Lar and my package to her will take some time cuz we'll be looking for fun things and stuffs and it ALWAYS takes forever for us to go to the post office! :PI didn't do much yesterday. I just had my 355 class and I was paired up with this guy sitting next to me for some exercises. I looked for him today but he wasn't sitting anywhere close to where he was yesterday! So I guess that's that for him. I had CMU with Wilson and his friend, Sandy. He finally did introductions, though I already asked him last week who "that girl" was. She's also applying to the school. Lecture was really boring and off-the-subject because he brought these rocks from home and talked about them forever! Geesh. But he's funny cuz he's one of those...old guys, who act old? Okay that didn't make sense, but I think you understand. Then I went home and messed around for a while. Going to the IMA yesterday wasn't that great, so we left early. I got home and procrastinated. I revised my application, typed a few paragraphs for my essay, modified my statement of intent, and I also started packing more clothes! They're all neatly folded and in stacks. :P Today was a pretty good day though! However, I was extremely tired for the first part; I was falling asleep in 209. In 355 I woke a little more since we were watching a film which had some optical illusions, which I always like. Then I went to the flagpole to wait for Annie and Jim. And I saw Scott! So we talked a little, we're gonna try and plan lunches again this quarter...last quarter we weren't so successful. *chuckle* But it was nice to see him again. Jim wanted to try the Little Thai restaurant, so we went there and ate. And as ever, it was really good! He got a picture of Annie and me looking dumb because he said he "needed" to get a picture of us "guys." :P Did I tell you he called me last night? That was a real surprise! Oh and before I forget here's his page and Mike's page. So then I went home and now I'm just updating until I'm hungry again. Lar's hungry and wants to go to China First. Must I remind him I just ate about an hour ago? :P! But I guess "I can always eat." :P~ Baawahahahaha. At this time in two days, I'll be on my way to the airport!!!!!!! January 13, 2000: Just one more day to go......Until I get to go! To California! *YAAAAAAA*! Currently I'm on hold with Nancy cuz she talka da other line...hmmm. So yeah, I figured I better get an update here because it would be a few days before I would get another chance. :)My day was pretty good; I was tired for most of it though. Dunno why, we didn't stay up too late yesterday (which I'll get into in a sec). But yeah, in 209 I was falling asleep but I did the practice quiz (for the one we're having tomorrow) and I did just fine. :P Next in 355, I was *really* falling asleep but towards the end, I got some pep in me and I rushed off to CMU. Last night I had emailed Weese, asking if I could use his printer for my application. Cuz my printer is old! And today, he was nice enough to have printed everything out for me. (I was thinking we'd go back to his room to print after class.) So that was a very nice thing he did. :D Class, again, was another bore. We got to watch a long film clip though, so that made things a little better. I turned in my application after class. *Whew* I'm finally done with it! Last night Lar helped me write much of it and I also got a second wind (I stopped writing the day before because I was blocked) and finished it pretty soon after waking up from my nap. Then I went home and Lar was already studying. I watched my soaps and other programs, then started some laundry. Tonight the bag is getting zipped up! *chuckle* Then Nancy called during "The Simpsons" so we talka.... We just had spaghetti for dinner and it was goo. Lar's back to studying and I'm just messing around. *heh* So yeah! The rest of yesterday we did a LOT of stuff. After eating at China First, we went to call the autoshop and they said they could fit us in. Up to Lynnwood we went and it took a few minutes to get all the paperwork done and talk it over with the guy and stuff. We had a while to kill, so we went to a guitar store and Lar played while I read at his feet. :P Then we went to Long's..and got mac&cheez so cheap! It was Kraft and only 20-cents a box! WOWIE! We picked up some other cheap foodstuffs, so we're doing goo! His car was ready by the time we got back and so we went to Target. I returned my cardigan set without a problem and we walked around there for a bit. Then we went to JCPenney's so I could return my ballgown skirt (*sad*). I also had no problems returning it and found a pair of Dungarees as well! It's a good coincidence too because earlier that day I was looking at my old, dead pair, trying to convince myself that they could still be patched. (The answer is NO!! *L*) But I have a replacement pair now. YAY! We went home and Lar made dinner of mac&cheez. It turned out quite well; I was proud of heem. :D Then we messed around and I was falling asleep..but after taking a 10min nap I was good! Lar helped me jumpstart my application for communications. I finished it and printed it out but my printer made it look all ugly so I emailed a copy to Weese. :P And you're back to the top! After talking to Nancy I'm even more excited than before, can I make it thru two hours of class and lunch? OH GEEZ! I just remembered that I forgot to do my homework assignment! GRRRRRRRRRRR!! But it's okay, she said we get one late assignment.. but still, geez!!!!!!!!!!! So I better go and read and email my damn question to her before I let it slip even more! Talk when I get back! :DDDDDDD January 24, 2000: Busy ChildSo yeah, things have been busy since I got back from Los Angeles. It was really fun and I'm currently working on a separate page to tell the story of my trip. And! I should be getting my pictures back later today so I can probably go scanning on Wednesday and then post them, in my album along with my other page. So be looking forward to that.I knew it would take a while to get it done, but I didn't think it would take this long, so I'm here to update on a few things: I just got out of my Psych355 exam, I didn't think it was too bad. I'm just anxious because you can only miss five points the whole quarter to get a 4.0 and then the curve follows that lead. That doesn't leave me many points to miss. EEK! I had lunch with Annie and Jim at Orange King. It was pretty good. Jim says that the picture he took of us last week or so turned out pretty well, with the exception that we were standing in front of a dumpster. *heh* He'll have it scanned and put on his page sometime... as well as other pictures, so I can just link of him. Wee! Now I have an hour to kill before Wilson and I go to McDonalds for 89-cent chicken nuggets. YAY! And there was also something I wanted to ask him but right now I can't think of it. *D'oH* And, I must thank Ang for finding Zapa.Com because they have all sorts of neat gizmoz for me to use and put on my page! I'll be putting my online photo album together using their stuffs. Here's this neat lil' ID card thing I made there: Anyhow, I think I'm running outta ideas cuz I don't want to talk about the LA trip until I've finished the update. So I'll leave it on that note.
