Welcome to the exciting, addictive world of dog agility!

"If you think dogs can’t count . . . try putting 3 biscuits in your pocket, and then give him only two of them."
~ Phil Pastoret

What better way to spend time with man’s best friend than being outside, exercising and having a good time? Our goal is for both the dog and handler to have fun together. You will learn valuable training skills and both of you will gain confidence in a relaxed atmosphere.

We have students who are competing successfully in multiple venues. We also have students who just want to do something fun with their dogs. We welcome both types of student!

We offer classes ranging from Introductory to Competition levels. Class sizes are small, generally 5-6 students/dogs per class.
Classes are held at: 5421 State Route 27, Pullman, WA.
(Please make an appointment before visiting, outside of regularly scheduled class times.)

Instructor: Sue Roberts, assisted by Brumby and Saffron

Definition of Dog Agility:

Dog agility is a sport in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. Dogs must run off leash, with no food or toys as incentives. The handler can touch neither dog nor obstacles except accidentally. The handler may use voice, body position, and hand signals to direct the dog, requiring exceptional training of the dog and human. (Wikipedia 2007)

Definition of an Agility Course:

An agility course consists of a set of standard obstacles, laid out by a judge in a design of their choosing, in an approximately 100 x 100 ft. area, with numbers indicating the order in which the dog must complete the obstacles. Courses are complicated enough that a dog could not complete them correctly without human direction.
