Some of our GREAT dogs of the Past!

Topgun's There Can Be Only One, RE, HIC (Duncan) ~ 4/2/96 to 4/3/08

We are so saddened by the loss of this beloved boy. We found he had malignant tumors on March 4, 2008. After just over 4 weeks of spoiling and loving it was time for us to let him go. I am so thankful for the time we had to say good-bye. There is never enough time with our fur-kids. We will always miss you, Duncan.

Duncan was my long-awaited red dog. Thanks to Jeany Llapitan of Topgun kennels for this beautiful boy! He was one of the smartest dog's I have ever owned, and always loves to have a good time!

3/25/06 & 3/26/06 Duncan went to the Peninsula Dog Fanciers Club show in Bremerton to show in Rally Novice for the first time. He did GREAT! Duncan earned scores of 96 BOTH days for his first two legs towards his RN title. May 21, 2006 Duncan earned his RN title at the Mt. Baker KC show in Lynden, with a score of 98, under judge Judi James! I'm so thrilled Duncan finally found something he enjoyed. Such a good boy! On the right is our picture of Duncan completing his RN. Picture by Roberts Photos. June 10, 2006. Duncan showed for the first time in Rally Advanced, and earned his first leg with a score of 92! Aug. 19, 2006 Duncan earned his second RA leg with a score of 93, and a 3rd Place! Aug. 20, 2006 Duncan earned his last leg for his RA title! Yipee! March 24, 2007 Duncan earned his first Rally Excellent leg in Bremerton with a score of 85 and 1st place!! March 31, 2007 and April 1, 2007 Duncan earned his 2nd and 3rd legs to complete his RE title at the WSOTC trials - with 4th place both days! What a good boy!!

Below, a lovely head shot. Thanks so much, Lori! Picture by Lori Charron.

Our First ASCA National

In 1993, the National was held in Puyallup, WA, nearly at our doorstep. We had a blast! Lucky and Di placed 3rd in Brace, and Andrew made every cut, with a 2nd out of the Open Black Class at a Pre-National show. Sadly, all three of these wonderful dogs have passed on, and we miss them greatly. From left to right are:

Happy-Go-Lucky Lad, ASCA CDX, AKC CD, HC, CGC (Lucky). Lucky was my first Aussie, and very talented in obedience. He was rescued from a vet school that planned to use him for the next anatomy class. I am so very happy he was part of my life. We were a good team.

Legacy Lane's Antique Diamond, ASCA CD, HC, CGC (Di). Di was something of a "wild thing." She loved playing frisbee more than anything else, and would have played until she dropped. She was also extremely intelligent, and had a VERY large vocabulary!

Christmas Edition of Windermere, AKC/ASCA CD, HC, CGC (Andrew). Andy was sweet, elegant and beautiful, with a spirit to match. I am so grateful for the 11 1/2 years we had together. He was a very special boy.
