Allusions to Star Wars in other movies (and TV shows, and other stuff, but mostly movies):
NOTE: As far as this page is concerned, if I preceive it as an allusion to Star Wars, it is.


Armageddon (1998)
-AJ and some other guy argue over who gets to be Han Solo.
-AJ asks the Russian guy if he's ever heard of Evil Knievil, the Russian says, "I've never seen Star Wars."

Austin Powers II: The Spy who Shagged Me (1999)
-Dr. Evil turned the moon into something he likes to call a "Death Star."
-Dr. Evil tells Austin, "I am your father," with a Darth Vader voice.

Back to the Future (1985)
-Marti tells George that he is Darth Vader.

Beverly Hills Cop II (1987)
-Foley says to Rosewood, "Are you driving with your eyes opened or are you using the Force?"

Boogie Nights (1997)
-Reed said "Have you seen that Star Wars movie?" and Eddie Adams said "Yeah, I've seen it four times." and Reed said "You know, people tell me I kind of look like Han Solo."

Chasing Amy (1997)
-The angry black guy in the begining is complaining about how there are no black heros. In Star Wars the hero is a blond white guy, and the bad was the blackest guy there is. Luke and a bunch of white boys blow up the Death Star, and when Darth Vader takes off his mask, he's an old white guy, symbolizing that all blacks want to be white. Then a guy says, "What about Lando?"
-When Holden says he'll try, Silent Bob says, "Do or do not, there is no try."

Chicken Run (2000)
-When Rocky sees the chicken pie machine he says, "Look at the size of that thing."

Clerks (1994)
-Randall askes Dante which is better, Empire or Jedi. Dante say he likes Empire better because Luke gets his hand cut off, he finds out Darth Vader is his father, and Han Solo gets frozen. It ends on a down note, and life is like that. Randall worries about the contract workers on the second Death Star. It was still under construction, so he thinks a lot of plumbers and electricians died who were innocent.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
-There's an upside down R2-D2 in part of the space ship that flies over Devil's Tower.

Coming to America (1988)
-James Earl Jones says "Leave him to me. I will deal with him myself."

Conan the Barbarian (1982)
-James Earl Jones tells Conan that he's almost like his father, (James Earl Jones is Conan's father, that is).

Conan the Destroyer (1984)
-Akira the Wizard is almost cooked in the same manner as Han Solo in ROTJ.

Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course (2002)
-The movie starts with a long sattlelite flying by.

The Dark Crystal (1982)
-Jen is refered to as "the chosen one."
-Jen's master, the wisest of the mystics, disappears when he dies.

Deep Core (2000)
-Brian calls the drilling machine a "bucket of bolts."

Doctor Dolittle 2 (2001)
-When Archie the bear is trying to find some grapes blind folded, the camelian says, "Use the Force."
-Archie says, "Echawawah."

Dogma (1999)
-When Bethany asks Jay and Bob to take her to New Jersy, Jay says "I feel like I'm Han Solo, and you're Chewie, and she's Ben Kenobi, and we're in that f**ked-up bar."

Dragonball Z: Tree of Might (2000)
-Krillin: I have a bad feeling about all this.
-Turles tries to get Goku to join him and Goku says "I'll never join you."

Dungeons and Dragons (2000)
-In the begining, a dragon gets crushed under a gate, like the rancor.
-The characters wear Jedi robes.

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (1982)
-Elliot shows E.T. his action figures, amongst them are Greedo, Lando Calrissian, and Boba Fett.
-Elliot tells his brother he has absolute power, his brother says "absolute power, yes" Yoda style.
-On Halloween there's a kid dressed up as Yoda, and E.T. gets excited.

Eurotrip (2004)
-Cooper calls Jamie "C-3PO."

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)
-The Star Wars theme is playing when the valets are speeding down the road in the convertible.

Free Enterprise (1998)
-Claire said "Where are you going?" and Robert said "Looks like I'm going nowhere." and Claire said "Don't you f***ing quote Star Wars at me!"

Gargantua (1998)
-A guy says, "Look at the size of that thing," when refering to a dinosaur.

Genius (1999)
-In this amusing Disney channel movie, the teacher asks Charlie when he turned to the Dark Side

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)
-The Bad shoots a guy from under a table, like Han shooting Greedo. (Techniqually, since this movie was made before Star Wars, Star Wars probably alludes to it, rather than the other way around.)

Happy Gilmore (1996)
-Happy sees three ghosts at the end--Chubbs, Abe Lincoln, and the Alligator--and waves at them

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)
-The Dark Side is mentioned.
-When Harry's playing that game, Quickage or something, on his broom, some kid flies next to him and tries to knock him off, and it looks just like the speeder bike scene.
-The bad guy says "Join me" and Harry says "Never!"

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005)
-The knife that toasts bread as you slice it looks like a lightsabre, and sounds like one too.

Hot Shots! Part Deux (1993)
-The president and Saddam Hussien fight with lightsabres and reenact the battle between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, complete with the line, "Your powers are weak, old man," and Saddam talks in Darth Vader's voice.

Independence Day (1996)
-The Area 51 doors have an R and a 2 on them.

The Indian in the Cupboard (1995)
-Ormi puts a Darth Vader action figure in his cupboard and it comes to life.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
-Hitler is played by Micheal Sheard, who also played Admiral Ozzel in The Empire Strikes Back.
-Walter Donovan, played by Julian Glover, also played General Veers in The Empire Strikes Back.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
-There's a club in the beiginning called Club Obi Wan

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)
-Just look at the title, "strike back."
-And, Mark Hamill makes an appearance with his lightsabre.

Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2001)
-The bad guy has a chair just like Palpatine's in ROTJ.

The Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy (1996)
-Luke Skywalker is mentioned.

Kull: The Conqueror (1997)
-The evil queen tries to get Kull to join her.
-The evil queen says, "I am altering the pact, pray I don't alter it any further.
-Kull goes to the cantina looking for someone with a ship.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)
-Lara's binoculars look like Luke's macrobinoculars.

Last of the Dogmen (1995)
-John says, "I have a bad feeling about this," before the guys go looking for Indians.

A Life Less Ordinary (1997)
-Cameron Diaz tells Ewan McGreggor to go to his "Dark Side."

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
-There are elves who live in a tree house village that resembles the ewok village.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (2003)
-Aragorn asks Gandalf, "What does your heart tell you?"
-When Eowyn says, "I have to save you," Theoden replies, "You already did."

Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (1985)
-Blaster has a helmet, kind of like Darth Vader's. And when it comes off, his face is not what you would expect. He doesn't look strong or evil, like ROTJ, where Luke takes Vader's helmet off.
-Mad Max chases a guard down a hallway, when he's trying to get Master, and then he gets chased back by a bunch of people, like when Han Solo chases the stormtroopers down a hallway in ANH.

Mallrats (1995)
-Silent Bob tries to use the Force to move a cigarette, and T.S. says, "The Force is strong with this one."
-Later, Silent Bob is hanging upside down, trying to reach a video tape, and he tries to use the Force and it works. Just like Luke in the wampa cave.
-When Jay finds out Silent Bob can use the Force, he gets excited, and Silent Bob says, "Adventure, excitement, a Jedi craves not these things."

The Matrix (1999)
-Neo is "the one," Anakin is "the chosen one."

Men In Black (1997)
-George Lucas is one of the "known aliens" you can see on the screen.

Monty Python's Meaning of Life (1983)
-One of the students in the classroom sketch is named Biggs.

Mr. Holland's Opus (1995)
-Mr Holland says, "I love you," and his wife says, "I know."

Mystery Men (1999)
-The Blue Raja says, "May the Forks be with us."

Naked Gun 33 1/3 (1994)
-During the credits, a police car drives down the Death Star trench accompanied by X-Wings.

Pearl Harbor (2001)
-In the Battle of Britain scene, a guy says, "Good shot, Red 2."
-Danny says, "I can't shake him!" during the actual bombing of Pearl Harbor.

The Pirate Movie (1982)
-Frederic fights the Pirate King with a lightsabre while a voices tells him to "use the Force."

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
-The number on the plane is OB-CPO.
-There are paintings of R2-D2 and C-3PO painted on the cave walls.

Reign of Fire (2002)
-Christian Bale's character and his best firend reenact the "I am your father" scene from ESB in front of a group of little kids. One of them asks Bale if he came up with that himself and he answers 'of course I did.'

Robots (2005)
-One of the robots is looking for a new voice box; at one point he tries out the Darth Vader model.

The Rock (1996)
-A guy says, "I have a bad feeling about this."

Shaun of the Dead (2004)
-Shaun yells, "Get behind me! Get behind me!" as the zombies are breaking through the door.

Shrek (2001)
-When the Donkey runs through the woods it looks like the speeder bike chase.

Shrek 2 (2004)
-Fiona's parents live in the Kingdom of Far, Far Away.

The Skulls (2000)
-When Caleb and Luke fall in the water, Caleb yells "Luke!" and there's a weather vane snake in the water with them, so it reminds me of the trash compactor scene.

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004)
-Dr. Jennings's lab is room number 1138.
-Joe turns his plane sideways to manuever between two buildings and escape pursuing air craft, much like Han flies through the canyon on the asteroid to escape the TIE fighters.
-Joe gets permission to land on platform 327.

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut (1999)
-The General has a holograph thing like the one in Return of the Jedi before the Death Star battle.
-A guy in Operation Human Shield says, "Yousa people gonna die?"
-Cartman blasts Saddam with Dark Side lightning.

Spaceballs (1987)
-The way the letters scroll up in the beginning.
-The ship takes a really long time to go by.
-Dark Helmet v. Darth Vader.
-Dot Matrix v. C-3PO. I think Dot Matrix is more manly.
-The ear phones Princess Vespa wears look like Princess Leia's hair.
-Lonestar owes Pizza money, Han owes Jabba money.
-One of the ships parked at the resturaunt looks like the Millennium Falcon.
-Pizza the Hutt v. Jabba the Hutt.
-They go to a desert planet.
-The little guys in glittering robes v. Jawas.
-Lonestar means star that's alone, Solo means alone.
-The Schwartz v. the Force.
-Yogurt v. Yoda.

Team America: World Police (2004)
-When Gary enters the bar in Cairo, it's just like the Cantina at Mos Eisley. Similar music too.
-When Gary arrives at Kim Jong Il's Peace Conference, he's wearing a Jedi robe and he says, "You don't need to see my credentials," using the Jedi mind trick.

Toy Story (1995)
-Emperor Zerg has created a weapon with enough power to blow up an entire planet, according to Buzz.
-Sid tortures Woody and asks him where the Rebel base is.

Toy Story 2 (1999)
-The fake Buzz says, "you killed my father," and Emperor Zerg says, "no, I am your father," and the fake Buzz yells, "Noooooo!"
-The fake Buzz says the walls are moving in and tries to brace them with Mr. Potato Head.

Turk-182! (1985)
-When asked who was responsible, some guy answered, "Darth Vader."

Twister (1996)
-A guy says, "That's no moon, it's a space station," when he sees the twister.

UHF (1989)
-In this Weird Al Yankovic movie, Stanley Spadowski defends himself from a gang of thugs with a mop. When he waves it it makes a lightsabre noise.


Batman Beyond (1999)
-In the Sentries of the Last Cosmos episode, when Terry and his friends are playing the game, Terry says, "I can't shake him!"
-Later, in the same episode, instead of answering yes to a question, Terry asks the rhetorical question, "Is Jar Jar lame?"

Big Wolf on Campus (1999)
-In Episode 114 "Interview with a Werewolf," Tommy says the warewolf is make-believe, like Star Wars or Ghandi.
-In Episode 122 "Game Over," Merton says that he was so in love with Princess Leia, he thought he could talk to her on his little pink phone.
-In Episode 204 "The Girl Who Spied Wolf," the evil warewolves try to get Tommy to join them.
-In Episode 206 "The Sandman Cometh," Tommy says the biology teacher was so hard to understand, they called him Jar-Jar.
-In Episode 215 "Mr. Roboto," Merton refers the the evil cyborg as C-3PO's evil twin.
-In Episode 222 "Butch is Back," Merton says that if Butch comes back a third time, he'll probably fight on their side, as Darth Vader does in Return of the Jedi.
-In Episode 301 "Stone Free," Merton gets out of the stone and he thinks he has hibernation sickness like Han Solo, and he feels Tommy's face and says, "Chewie?" then feels Laurie's face and says, "Princess Leia?"
-In Episode 314 "The Boy Who Tried Wolf," Merton turns into an evil werewolf and tries to get Laurie to join the "Dark Side."

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)

-In Episode 4.5, "Fear Itself," Xander asks Oz, "Sensing a disturbance in the Force, Master?"

Daria (1997)
-In the episode called "Misery Chick," Mr. O'Neal says that Daria always goes to the Dark Side, and Daria asks, "Are we talking about the Force?"
-In the Ultra Cola episode, when Daria sees a bus go by with an Ultra Cola banner she says, "I got a bad feeling about this."

Dexter's Laboratory (1996)
-In the Muffin Man episode, Dexter's father says, "Dexter, I am your father, join me on the muffin side. It is your destiny."
-In the episode Last But Not Beast, the Japanese try to trip a monster with cable and their ships, and a guy says, "One more pass."
-In the Huntor episode, Dexter's monkey is being hunted, and he smashes the huntor's gun with logs, like the ewoks smash the
-In the "Way of the Dee Dee" episode, Dee Dee tries to teach Dexter her ways. She makes him balance on one hand while she stands on his feet, and makes him run with her in a backpack on his back and do flips.
-In one of the monkey episodes, a big monkey tells Dexter's monkey that he wanted to "bring order to the galaxy."

Dragon Ball (2001)
-In Episode 30, "Pilaf and the Mysterious Force," Silver shoots a guy and says, "A boring conversation anyway."
-In Episode 46, "Bulma's Bad Day," Bulma says, "Goku, I have a bad feeling about this."
-In Episode 47, "Kame House-Found," Turtle says, "I have a bad feeling."
-In Episode 48, "Deep Blue Sea," Bulma says, "Would it help if I got out and pushed?"
-In Episode 53, "Blue, Black and Blue," Bulma says to Krillin while they're running though a collapsing tunnel, "Get moving, or you're gonna be a permanent resident here!"
-In Episode 54, "Escape From Pirate Cave," General Blue kills a guy and says, "Apology accepted."
-In Episode 55, "Penguin Village," Bulma says, "No more adventures."

Dragon Ball Z (1996)
-In Episode 3, "Gohan's Hidden Powers," Bulma says, "I have a bad feeling about all this."
-In Episode 4, "Goku's Unusual Journey," Goku dies and disappears to become one with the Force. Actually, what they say is that Kami took his body, but I know the truth.
-Episode 22 is called "Goku Strikes Back."
-In Episode 24, "Vegeta Saiyan Style," Krillin says, "I have a bad feeling about this," twice.
-In Episode 49, "Elite Fighters of the Universe...the Ginyu Force," Guldo says "I have a bad feeling about this," twice.
-In Episode 52, "Enter Goku," Chi-chi calles a star ship a "bucket of bolts."

-In episdoe 240, "Buu Against Buu," Piccolo says that the Dark Side of Buu won the battle.
-In episode 259, "Mind Trap," Hercule says, "I'm getting a bad feeling about this."

Everybody Loves Raymond (1996)
-Ray says that he feels a great disturbance in the force and then his mother walks in.

Johnny Bravo (1997)
-In the Amazon Women episode, someone says, "I got a bad feeling about this."

Lost (2004)
-In episode 8, "Confidence Man," Sun cures Shannon's asthma with eucalyptus and Hurly says it was like a Jedi thing.
-In episode 55, "Not in Portland;" Kate, Sawyer and Alex use the "wookiee prisoner gag" to rescue Karl.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 (1988)
-In the movie Final Sacrifice, the lost city looks like Darth Vader. Mike calls the bad guy "Garth Vader."
-In the movie Quest of the Delta Knights, Baydole mentions Travis's father, and Servo says, "Luke..." Then there are some guys in tree houses who of course are compared to the ewoks.
-In the movie Merlin's Mystical Shop of Wonders, a guy calls Merlin "Obi-Wan."
-In the Time Chasers episode, the "hero" ends up in a tree, and Crow thinks he should be shredded by ewoks.
-In the movie It Lives By Night, Dr. John goes into a barn and meets an old drunk. Servo asks if this is his "Yoda-like mentor."
-In the movie Space Mutiny, they have ships that look like Imperial Shuttles and the heroine's name is Lea.

Pepper Ann (1997)
-Well there's this whole thing about a school election, and someone nominated Mark Hammil
-Mark Hammil wins!
-One of Pepper's freinds was helping her election with a pep talk..."Be cautious of anger, for it leads to the dark path, and once you start down the dark path, forever will it rule you destiny
-When Pepper runs she claims, "I must is my destiny..."

Power Puff Girls (1998)
-There's an episode were the girls blow up a giant disco ball that's blocking the sun and they make it just like the Death Star battle in ANH. Bubbles flies down a trench in the disco ball with the Professor giving her telepathic advice. Blossom and Buttercup shot some guy off her tail, and she shoots into a hole at the end of the trench. It's very obvious.

Samurai Jack (2001)
-In Episode VIII, Samurai Jack goes to a cantina and a bunch of bounty hunters try to kill him.
-In that same episode, Jack meets his "Dark Side."

Smallville (2001)
-Clark jokingly asks Lana if she's been seduced by the dark side (aka Lex Luthor).

South Park (1997)
-In Episode 102, "Weight Gain 4000," Mr. Garrison says, "It is too late for me, young Wendy."
-In Episode 107, "Pink Eye," everyone dresses as Chewbacca.
-In Episode 209, "Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls," Mr. Hankey says, "there is another Sky-wa-kerrrrr," while he's dying.
-In Episode 210, "Chickenpox," Cartman says America would be better if it was more like Endor, where the Ewoks live.
-In Episode 212, "Clubhouses," Cartman and Kenny build is called Ewok Village 2000.
-In Episode 214, "Chef Aid," Johnny Kochran uses his "Chewbacca Defense."
-In Episode 305, "Jackovasaurs," the Jackovasaurs are stupid and annoying, like Jar Jar.
-In Episode 311, "Starvin' Marvin in Space," after the title is shown with a space background, the camera pans down very much like the begining of every Star Wars movie.
-In Episode 311, "Starvin' Marvin in Space," Sally Struthers looks just like Jabba the Hutt, complete with subtitles.
-Also in Episode 311, "Starvin' Marvin in Space," Kenny gets frozen in carbonite.
-In Episode 312, "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery," Kenny's Halloween costume is like an AT-ST, and he gets tripped by little ships and dies.
-Also in Episode 312, "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery," Wendy wins the costume contest with her Chewbacca costume.
-In Episode 315, "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics," an announcer says, "fighting the frizzies at 11" during every comercial break. This is a quote from an announcer when the Star Wars Christmas Special aired in 1978.
-In Episode 412, "4th Grade," Miss Choksondik says, "I'm not afraid," and Mr. Garrison says, "You will be. You will be."
Also in Episode 412, "4th Grade," there is a Tree of Insights that resembles the Dark Side Cave.
-In Episode 416, "The Wacky Molestation Adventure," spaceman Craig makes Darth Vader noises.
-In Episode 505, "Terrance and Phillip: Behind the Blow," environmentalists use the Jedi mind trick.
-In Episode 509, "Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants," Cartman refers to the Iraqis as Jawas and Sand People.
-In Episode 601, "Freaks," Stan gives the two geeks next door a copy of Episode I in payment for putting balls on Butters' chin.
-Also in Episode 601, "Freaks," Cartman goes on a talk show and says, "Well, I put Jabba the Hutt back into the original Star Wars movie. Whatever, I'll do what I want," to show how out of control he is.
