“I…I…I didn’t know what I was doing,” Nick pleaded. “I…”
Ally backed Nick into a bedpost and pushed him so that he tumbled over backwords and landed, his back on the bed. Ally then climbed over the bedpost and crawled on her hands and knees until she was straddling Nick’s lower stomach.
“Cut!,” Mike (the director ) yelled. “Nick, Sean is supposed to look shocked that Keri is acting this way, not like he are enjoying it yet.”
“Sorry,” Nick said as the camera stopped filming the scene that he and Ally were shooting. Nick could feel himself turning increasingly red as Ally slide off the bed and helped Nick up.
“Hold on a sec.” Mike said as he grabbed a script and ran onto the set. “Here, look at this description for a second. Keri just dragged Sean upstairs into a bedroom because she’s pissed that Sean almost slept with Kristen and she wants him to know how she feels. Sean doesn’t like Kristen but his feelings for Keri almost caused him to make the big mistake. Keri feels the same way about Sean, although she has never expressed these feelings before. Does that help?”
Nick nodded as he scanned through the scene in his script. He found himself able to relate to Sean in the sense that his feelings for Ally had grown stronger everyday although he wasn’t sure exactly how she felt about him.
It had been one week since filming had resumed. Ally’s cuts were almost completely gone and her bruises had vanished entirely. Now, production was moving faster than ever to attempt to make up for lost time. It was 4:30 in the morning and Nick and Ally had been working for almost 3 hours to get this scene to look right.
“Okay” Mike announced. “Now, roll playback…and…ACTION.”
By 5:15 AM, the scene was finally finished. “I’ll see you guys back here at 10:00 AM. We’re shooting the last school scene, so be ready.” Mike instructed.
Ally and Nick looked like zombies by the time that they reached the cabin. After leaving Nick at his room, Ally made her way to her own room and crawled into bed. Only seconds had passed before Ally’s cell phone began ringing. She scrambled for it and answered it on the beginning of the second ring.
“Hello,” she whispered.
“Hey Al!”
“Angela” Ally murmured. “Do you realize that it’s 5:30 in the morning here?”
“Yeah, I just thought that I catch you early before you started shooting today.”
So as not to wake her other two roommates, Ally got out of bed and headed for the main room. “Actually, I just got back from shooting.” Ally said.
“I’m sorry, do you want me to let you go?”
“In a little while.” Ally said. “I want to at least find out how you are.”
“Oh, pretty good. But it’s pretty much the same old thing. What about you?”
“I’m doing better,” Ally said. “It’s been pretty busy, but things have finally calmed down around here.”
“What do you mean?” Angela asked pledingly.
“Ryan and I got in a fight…we had to stop shooting for a week.”
“GOD DAMNIT ALLY! I told you that you should have gotten rid of that bastard when you had the chance. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m am fine.”
“What about Ryan? What’s happening to him?”
“He goes to court in three weeks and I have to testify. That’s all that I have heard so far.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Angela asked.
“I’m sorry Ang. The director wanted to keep it out of public eye, so I couldn’t tell anyone. I haven’t even told my mom yet.”
“Boy is she gonna flip when she finds out.”
“That’s just it, she’s not gonna.”
“Are you kidding me,” Angela yelled. “Your mother has a right to know that Ryan beat the crap out of you.”
“No she doesn’t,” Ally said sternly. “Everything is over with and taken care of. Besides, she already has too much to deal with.”
“You aren’t talking about Cody again are you? Listen Al. Cody is gonna get better. He just really depressed and who could blame him, I mean, your dad did kill…”
“I know,” Ally interrupted. “I’m just worried that she won’t be able to handle it. Please don’t say anything.”
“It’ll be hard, but I’ll try.” Angela said. "How is you know who?"
"Who, Nick?" Ally asked stupidly. "Angela...I think I have a crush on him..."
"I knew that was gonna happen. Isn't he a cutie?"
"Not just that," Ally said. "He's so nice and sweet and funny...everything that Ryan started out to be."
"Then go for it Ally. Then you can bring him home so I can steal him from you...just joking."
"Funny funny Ang."
“Anyway, I better let you go. If my boss catches me making long distance calls at work, I’m gonna be a little bit fired. Talk to you later Al.”
“You too. Take care of yourself.”
Ally hung up the phone and dragged herself back to bed.
