“Oh,” Nick said. “Oops.” He then rotated his foot to the last available red circle on the Twister game.”
“Spin Sophie…PLEASE SPIN.” Yelled Andrea, who played Ally’s character Keri’s best friend in Sometimes Loves Stumbles. “I don’t know if I can take anymore of Josh breathing on my neck.”
“It’s not my fault,” Josh defended. “Courtney’s on my arm. I can’t move”
“Am not,” Courtney protested. “That’s Jana.”
“Whatever!” Andrea yelled again. “Just spin.”
“Left hand blue.” Sophie announced.
“Psht…yeah right.” Nick said as he attempted to move his hand from a yellow circle to a blue one. Just as he had successfully made the maneuver, someone knocked on the main door. Rachel, who happened to be the one of the 15 people not playing Twister, walked out of her room. “Rachel…can you get it?” Nick pleaded.
“Sure,” Rachel said, smiling pleasantly at Nick.
“Can I kiss your ass a little more Nick?” Matt muttered under his breathe in response to Rachel’s sudden change in her normally bitchy attitude.
Rachel opened the door and stood back in shock. “You’re…you’re.” Rachel stammered. Oh my God!”
“That’s Bone,” Nick said. “Let him in Rachel.” Rachel stepped to the side of the hallway, allowing AJ, who had brought Howie with him, to step into the cabin. He was met by about 25 sets of eyes. “Hey guys, hold on a sec. I have to loose at Twister.”
“Left foot green.” Sophie declared. The entire group attempted to get their left foot on a green circle.
Meanwhile, Rachel had returned to her room, still in shock, and AJ and Howie were talking amongst themselves. “See that girl right there in the light blue shirt?”
“The one with all those cuts and bruises on her face?” Howie asked looking over in Ally’s direction.
“That’s the one that I was telling you about. Nick is crushing on her big time. Surprised?”
“Nah, were talking about Nick here, aren’t we?”
A shriek brought both of their attention back to the game. Nick had lost his balance and fallen over, landing on top of Ally. “I guess we’re out.” Nick said a little sheepishly, as he helped Ally to her feet. “We’ll meet you guys in the kitchen for pizza.”
“Just don’t finish it you two.” Sophie called as she continued to spin. “We all know how much you guys really eat.”
“Don’t worry about it Sophie. We’ll try to resist.” The two of them then joined AJ and Howie as the game of Twister continued.
“Hey,” Nick said. “AJ, you already know her, but Howie, this is Ally Parker.” Howie stuck out his hand in introduction.
Ally returned his handshake. “Nice to meet you.” She said smiling.
“Enough of that.” Nick said. “I’m getting pizza.” With that, Nick led the other three down the long hallway and into the kitchen. He went straight for the pizza while Ally grabbed Cokes and napkins and set them on the table.
“Does anyone else want pizza?” Nick asked as he handed Ally a slice. “It’s pepperoni.”
“Nah, that’s okay.” Howie said. “AJ and I already ate. We’ve got some news for you.”
“Yah?” Nick said taking a bite out of his pizza. “What’s that?”
“Bone and I just got a deal to put one of our songs on the soundtrack of your movie.”
“Yeah? Which one?” Nick asked.
“We’re not sure yet. But management thought that it would be a good idea, so we negotiated it with Dimension Films and they gave us the okay. We just have to make up our minds within 3 weeks.”
“Cool,” Nick said as he grabbed his third slice of pizza. “Anyway, how are you guys doing?”
The four of them talked until the rest of the cast joined them in the kitchen for pizza. Around 11:00, AJ and Howie said their good-byes (because they were heading back to Florida in the morning) and Ally and Nick walked them to the door.
“Thanks for everything Nickers.” AJ said. “And Ally, it was nice seeing you again. Keep the baby in line, all right?”
“Oh don’t worry. I will.” Ally laughed.
By 12:30, most of the cast had gone to bed, except for Ally, Nick, and Sophie who were watching late night TV shows and attempting to play poker with M&Ms and Skittles.”
“That is not a Royal Flush,” Sophie argued, laughing at Nick.
“Not unless the 2’s have suddenly been mixed in with the king, queen, and jack category.” Ally smirked. “Put the Skittles back Carter.”
“You two are harsh.” Nick pushed the Skittles back the center of the table. “I think that I am gonna go to bed. See you guys in the morning.”
“Wait, Nick." Ally called. "Before you go, can you drive me to a doctor’s appointment at 9 tomorrow morning? They are gonna see if everything is going to heal right.”
“You…in the morning…I don’t know.”
“Please Nick. I don’t have a car, remember?”
“Yeah, I know. I guess I’ll do it. But I will use any means necessary to wake you up. You do know that?”
“Thanks Nick, you’re the best.”
