Requirements For Play

Appearance

  • Until around age 10 AY (aged normally like humans to this point), they still look like any other normal human and there are no hints that they are actually a Namuh.

  • Around age 10 (at which point they start to age 1 HY for every 2 AY), they start to lose the pigmentation of their skin and hair tones. Their hair within about a year or two will have turned ashy gray, silver or white. Under their eyes turn pinkish purple (like they've never slept in their life), and their lips become patchy. Darker toned skin will fade into a lighter tone with a yellow hint to it, paler skin will become stark white or yellow. They'll basically look much like a human corpse that died from illness.

  • Some Namuh have learned to get around this with thick make ups, or artificial dyes, but even the white of the eyes will look sickly... so its not completely possible to hide who they are.

  • They are frail looking, and both males and females tend to look the same since males don't get to gain the muscle normal humans do during puberty; nor do the women gain the curves they're accustomed to.

Language(s)

Common, Namuh

Age Ratio

(HY indicates physical appearance, AY is how long they have lived.)

1 HY : 2 AY
Lifespan of about 160 AY

Race Perks

  • Doubled APT at Registration

  • +5 extra MP each level

  • +2 Swimming, +4 Timidity, +2 Intimidation

  • Halved difficulty for any rolls involving interactions with other Namuh NPCs, such as influence, charm, bartering, etc.

  • 10% off anything in Tandora's black market.

  • +1 to hit with magic.

  • Halved difficulty when attempting to capture and/or tame agricultural or pet animals with the appropriate skill. GM Discretion. One per quest/event.
  • Immune to natural disease. It takes twice the effort to poison them, OR, if poisoned they suffer only half the effect. GM Discretion.

Race Drawbacks

  • Weak Constitution - They heal at half the rate of others - magical healing will heal half the normal LP recovery. Sleep will heal only half of lost LP compared to other's full recovery. They must sleep all 3 turns on quests to fully heal LP.

  • They have halved attack rolls when using any steel, iron or two handed weapons. Basically, they are too weak to properly wield heavier weapons.

  • Humans hate the Namuh, so when negotiating with a human NPC, it will take extra persuasion (a successful INF roll, bribery, a feat of strength, etc.) to get what you want. GM Discretion.

  • Limited to no higher than leather armor due to frail frame.

  • Maxed VIG and AGL of 20.

Pregnancy

To Procreate, Partner Must Be:
Humanoid. Age of maturity is considered 36 AY.

On a d100 roll (pregnancy):
60-100 Unsuccessful
20-59 One Child
1-19 Twins

Gender (d2 roll):
1 = Female
2 = Male

Child’s race:
If parents are same race, the child will be that race.

If parents are each a different (but full blooded) race, the child will be half of each race. In the case of a Human parent and Namuh parent, the child would be Namuh due to the magic poisoning.

If one or both parents are a half-race, the GM will have each parent roll d2 to determine which half from each parent they’ll be.
