The perspective varsity team will be attending Clemson this summer. The June
session worked better for everyone so we will leave for Clemson the
morning of June 16th and return the evening of June 20th. Please begin to make
preparations. Any questions, please contact Coach McGuire.

Also, the perspective JV team (rising sophomores currently on JV, rising
freshmen, and any 8th graders communicated with) will be attending UNC-Greensboro
June 17-20. Any questions regarding JV team camp, please contact
Coach McGuire or Coach Scott.

Also, there has been discussion amongst our staff to take a second team to
UNC-Greensboro that would include most all middle school players and those
interested in trying out for the MS team. The problem with taking
another team is that these players/families must pay the entire fee to attend
camp. Our budget does not allow for us to send the MS team to camp
but if we have enough willing to pay then we would find a way to take a
team. If any middle school player may be interested, please let Coach
McGuire know as soon as possible.

1. Team camp dates - As I research and receive brochures from colleges and universities, it is becoming the norm that MOST ALL team camps will be held the week after our school system lets out for the summer. Since the open recruiting period for colleges is in July, most all team camps are now held in June especially around the 16th and 17th of June. Please keep those things in mind for the future.

2. For those wanting to attend varsity team camp, it is important that we have as many perspective varsity players attend so that our team building experience can take place. Based on the information returned, the June session is the camp that most players can attend. Some may have to consider sacrificing other basketball camps for team camp to work yet again this summer. Otherwise, we will not get the full experience of developing new roles and a new team personality this summer for the 05-06 season.
