~Erin’s point of view~

I rode in silence as Jennifer followed Brian to the resturaunt. My stomach churned. I clung to the peace frog necklace around my neck. If he was going to hook back up with her, he should've had the decency to tell me first! You know, because of the minor fact that I was his Girlfriend! I felt the car stop and Jennifer opened the door to step out. And meet Brian for their date. Little did Littrell know that I was there and ready to bust him!

I’d wait a few minutes to make sure they wouldn’t see me and then follow them inside.

~Brian’s poitn of view~

I watched Kevin and Jennifer go inside Cracker Barrel. And to my horror, Amy, AJ, and some other guy walked out right past them! Jennifer and Kevin looked scared and quickly got by. Amy and AJ hadn’t even noticed. From the expression on their darkened faces, they’d had a fight or something. They were too busy worrying about that to notice who’d walked by.

When I saw AJ and Amy make it to their car, I went inside. A big group was just leaving, so they were seated before too much of a wait. I watched them sit down at their table. I felt like a spy. I snuck by the hostess, and sat right around the cornor from them. Unless they came around for some reason, I could listen to their conversation without them realizing it.

I felt like a detective. And sick to my stomach. I was sneaking around watching my cousin and my ex-girlfriend! Of course, I wasn’t doing it for myself. I was doing it for Howie and Tracy. But how could I break the news to them? My suspensions were probably as confirmed as they were gonna be though. There was very little margin of error that I was overreacting or something. Which is why I hadn’t told them when I first suspected something. They shouldn’t have to worry about something I was guessing about.
“I’m glad we came to dinner tonight,” Kevin’s voice interrupted my thoughts.
“Me, too,” Jennifer agreed. “We need to work everything out. I can’t believe AJ and Amy almost got us!” she laughed, gaily.
“Yeah, that would’ve been bad! Howie and Tracy can’t know about us. Not until…” he let the sentence hang.
“I know. For awhile, I thought Erin had suspisions. And remember how Nick and Brian were home the other day, too? What if they had come downstairs and heard us?”
‘I did,’ I thought bitterly. ‘And I got dragged into this mess!’

I got up and headed back to the entrance/exit. I couldn’t listen to anymore. I didn’t need to. It was obvious, and I couldn’t let them do it behind their significant others’ backs. I would never do something like that to Erin. Your supposed to be true to your partner!… I was getting mad. Not only because the whole situation made me sick, but because I was going to have to break the news to D and Tracy.

I looked up from the ground to open the door. But instead, I found myself face to face with Erin.
