I awoke the next morning finding myself staring at another face.
“Ahh!” I screamed, startled. Brian’s cat, Missy, jumped down from the bed. Brian ran in.
“Are you okay?” he wondered.
“Yeah, your cat just gave me an early welcome.”
Brian laughed. “Yeah, she likes to do that a lot. Want some breakfast?” he asked.
“Sure, I’ll be down in a second.” I said.
I changed from my cow print mickey mouse pj’s (Author Note: My pajamas are awesome!) to a pair of kackis and an american eagle shirt. Brian’s mom and brother were in the kitchen with him.
“Hey, sweetie!” Jackie greeted, “I haven’t seen you in forever!”
“Yeah, its been too long!” I gave her a hug.
“You know, its been what? Two years? And you still haven’t gotton any taller.” Harold laughed.
I stuck my tongue out at him. “Ya know, midgits will someday rule the world!” I said.
Jackie smiled. “Two years and nothing’s changed. Well except for you two finally got together. I always knew you and Brian would cross paths again.”
I blushed.
“Anyone want eggs?” Brian came over from the stove.
We sat down at the table and ate breakfast. Brian told his mom all about his trip and the upcoming video.
“Want to play Super Nintendo?” Brian asked with a grin, a little while later.
“You’ve still got it hooked up?” I asked incredulously.
“Of course!”
“Sure,” I said. We both jumped from the table and raced up the stairs. I got to the door of his room first. “Haha, beat ya!” I laughed, walking in. He grabbed my waist and pulled me back, and then stepped in front of me. “Hey! That's cheating!”
He ran to the nintendo system and grabbed the first remote.
“I don’t think so Mr. Littrell! I’m first player!”
“The controller in my hand says otherwise,” he countered.
RIIIINNNNGGGG. RRRRIIINNNGGG.
“I got it. You were saved by the bell,” I called. I grabbed the phone. “Hello?”
“Erin? Is that you?”
“Last time I checked. Nick?”
“Yeah.”
“So whats up?” I asked.
“I was just calling Brian to see where you were, you were supposed to call as soon as you got home. We were afraid something had happened.”
“Oh my gosh! I totally forgot! I’m sorry I didn’t let you guys know where I was!” I apologized.
“So, what happened? Are you and Brian together?”
“Yeah, he’s right beside me.”
“Funny,” he said sarcastically. “You know what I meant.”
“Yeah I know, and yeah we are.”
“We’re what?” Brian joined in.
“A couple.. at least I think so. Are we?” I asked.
He leaned over and gave me a kiss. “Does that answer your question?”
"Yeah, Nick, we're a couple." I said, breathlessly.
