Chapter 26

“Hey! There’s the Long John Silver’s you used to work at!” I pointed, as memories of my old town rushed into my head.
“Do you remember how to get to my house?” Brian asked.
“Of course I do! How could I forget?” I turned into a small neighborhood. “There’s Nick’s old house!… and mine, too! Aww they painted it blue!…” Finally I turned into Brian’s house. It was the same as last time I saw it.
“Home sweet home.” Brian said, hopping out of the car.

We got some of our bags.
“Man! My legs are asleep!” Brian cried.
“Shhh! Are you trying to wake up the whole neighborhood? Its past midnight!” I laughed.
“Yes! I want the whole world to know that my legs are asleep!” he shouted, louder this time.
“Brian! Keep your mouth shut!”
“But my mouth’ll have nothing to do.”
“Like that line wasn’t obvious,” I laughed, giving him a long kiss.

We went in the back door, hoping not to wake everyone. Well, if he hadn’t already awoken them.

We walked through the kitchen, turning on a low light. The tv was on in the other room. ‘Terminator’ was on the screen. Brian walked into the room and came back. “Harold’s asleep on the couch.” He explained.
“He’s older than you, hasn’t he moved out yet?” I asked.
“Yeah, he’s in college, he’s just here for the summer. Come on, you can have the guest room.”

We walked upstairs. There was some ‘Kentucky Wildcats’ posters and jersey’s up on the walls. “Wonder who decorated!” I said sarcastically.
“Yup, yours truly! Gotta love me!” he gave a sweet smile. “Got everything you need?" he asked.
“Yup I’m fine.” I said. He turned to go. “Hey, don’t I get a goodnight kiss?” I asked.
"Of course,” he said. “Good night.”
"Sweet dreams."
