Nick went on out to the car with Howie.
“I want a full report of how the photo shoot goes! Have a great time with your men!” I told Heather, Amy, and Jen.
“We will! I’ll call as soon as I get to Florida!” Heather promised.
“Yeah. See you soon,” Jen joined in.
“Ever want to go parasailing again, let me know.” Amy laughed.
“Bye guys.” They went on out to the car.
“Nice meeting you,” AJ said, before grabbing both his and Amy’s stuff.
I watched them pull out of the driveway with Brian. His plane to Kentucky didn’t leave for another hour, and it was only a twenty minute drive to the airport.
“I’m going to check the house one more time and make sure no one forgot anything.” I said to Brian.
“Okay, I’ll help ya,” he replied.
“I’m going to miss this beachhouse! It’s awesome!”
“Yeah. We usually stay in it, but Someone had already rented it these two weeks!” He laughed.
“Maybe next time we come, you can come with us. Nick and his family try to get together here every year or two.”
“That’d be great.” I said, as I grabbed my suitcase and headed out towards the jeep.
“Are you going to be okay riding home by yourself?” he asked.
“Yeah, I’ve got your CD to keep me company.” I smiled. “What song are you going to be making a video to?”
“As Long As You Love Me.”
“Awesome, that’s my second favorite song.” I said.
“What’s your favorite?”
“Anywhere For You! It’s the best song in the world!” I said. ‘Not to mention that you sound really good in it!’ I thought to myself.
Brian checked his watch. “I better get going or else I’ll miss my plane.”
“Okay,” I said sadly. “Tell your family I said hello, okay?”
“I will.” He promised. “It was great seeing you again! I just wish…”
“What?” I asked.
“Oh nothing I guess. Hopefully see you again sometime soon,” he said.
“Have a good photo shoot.” I said, my eyes almost watery. He gave me a hug.
“I’ll miss you,”
“You, too.” I replied.
He hopped into his vehicle and waved as he pulled away. I watched until his car as it disappeared over the horizon.
