Chapter 18
As Time Goes
Frick's Fairytales
~Erin’s point of view~
“What’s up? How’d it go between you two?”
I told him what had happened.
“So you lied to him?” Nick asked.
“No. I hadn’t told you I liked him when before you had went to the arcade. Which means it wasn't a lie.” I argued.
“Well, still, that’s misleading."
“It doesn’t matter, he liked Jen, not me, once again.” I reasoned.
“But you should still tell him the truth.”
“It’d be pointless. So I don’t want you trying to help anymore. Thanks but no thanks. Kapeish?” I asked, well it was more of a command.
“Okay,” He answered, relutantly.
“Great,” I led the way back downstairs.
~Jen’s point of view~
I said good bye to everyone and Howie and I left for the movies.
“Are you okay?” Howie asked.
“Yeah, Brian asked me out a few hours ago. I just kind of feel bad, I had no idea he liked me. And he didn’t know we were going to the movies.”
“Oh. So are you gonna go out with him?” Howie wondered.
“No, of course not. I’m happy with you. It’s just I felt bad.”
He looked sad for Brian, but happy I wasn’t going to go out with him at the same time.
“Don’t worry. I’m sure he’ll be fine.” Howie comforted me as we pulled into the movie theater. We parked and he opened the car door for me.
“Why thank you my good sir.” I told him. We walked inside and took our seats.
~The next day~
“I’m going down to the beach!” Erin called, quickly heading out the backdoor. Amy and I were sitting in the kitchen.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
“Erin hasn’t been talking to me much since Brian asked me out last night. And I feel bad about that. And also, last night Howie invited me to the video shoot they are doing in a few weeks. And Kevin asked Tracy if she would come, last night. He chickened out of actually asking her out, but that’ll give him plenty of time to. And Nick is going to invite Heather today.”
“Really? That’s great! So all of you are coming to the shoot! I’ll have someone besides the guys to talk to for once.”
“Not all of us.”
It dawned on her. “Oh, everyone but Erin.”
“Yeah. I’m sure the reason she isn’t talking to me is because of the Brian thing. And I feel bad she’s the only one that didn’t get asked by the guy she liked, because he liked me. It’s all my fault!” I groaned.
“It’s not your fault. Don’t worry about it too much, I’m sure she’ll be fine. Maybe Brian'll even ask her.” Amy reassured me.
