The Wolf Man








Larry Talbot returns to England after travelling abroad. Talbot is attacked by a werewolf while on an evening stroll, and is infected with the curse of lycanthropy. Larry comes to learn of his affliction by an old gypsy woman whose son Bela was the werewolf that had savaged him. The gypsy warns Larry that on nights of the full moon, he will become a wolf, and seek a victim to kill. Sir John Talbot, Larry's father finds the only means by which to save his son, and when he finds his trasformed son out in the moors, clubs him to death with a cane tipped in silver (the only known lethal weakness of a werewolf.)


Even a man who is pure at heart,

and says his prayers by night

may become a wolf

when the wolfbane blooms,

and the autumn moon is bright.
