Danny got a 46% on a test in his religion class. We are thinking of using the printout of his score
on the flyer for the show on the fifteenth. We are continuing our efforts to finish the last three
songs for our demo.

We are working on some new songs. There will be perhaps two new ones to be played (in addition to "longing" and "without") at the show on the 29th. Don't miss that show. Other than that, we are continuing to fail in our studies and not care too terribly about anything. I did, however, design and order some new t-shirts today. They feature an image of Copernicus and should look pretty classy. If you would like one, contact Jeremy at jimtheninja@hotmail.com. I'm pretty much handing them out for free. November 19, 1999
Review of the band from The Daily Universe: Stigma,a four-piece grunge band with a bit of a bluesy, Hendrix-vibe, opened the show. If you like Nirvana - and I mean really like Nirvana - you may dig these guys. Depending on your point of view, their tendency toward lethargic, moody verses, followed by bone-crushing, distortorama choruses, then more lethargy, can seem either like a tribute to the Seattle greats or like a formulaic rip-off of just one of Cobain & Co.'s many facet's. Stigma's greatest strength is its strong, tight drummer. He's not flashy, mind you, but he has good rhythm and knows what fits a song well. One of Stigma's big problems is a lack of polish. Besides that, enthusiasm is a problem, mainly for its singer/rhythm guitarist and bassist. Fortunately, its lead guitarist shows a lot of energy in his playing and really lets himself get into the music. My main advice for these guys is to make a concerted effort to make each song unique - not a Nirvana schlep. Diversify, my friends.
