Background information:
Brent and Jeremy began playing together during an especially insipid summer. Brent had played for a while in a local punk band and quite enjoyed the energy, but wanted to approach rock music in a more artistic way than is possible within the confines of punk.

Danny and Patrick were members of a rock band called "The Unknown Soldiers". Danny wrote songs, played guitar and sang in the band before taking up the bass to play with Brent and Jeremy. Patrick has always been a fantastic drummer, and is somewhat of a prodigy.
Brent, Jeremy, and Danny are "studying" at Brigham Young University. Brent studies zoology (because he is a nerd), while Jeremy and Danny study illustration (because they are unintelligent.)
