After that, the group planned to fight Radditz and get Gohan back. They found out they could find Gohan with the dragon radar because Gohan had a dragonball on his hat. Then all of a sudden, Piccolo showed up and told them of his meeting with Radditz and wanted to get revenge. Piccolo teamed up with Goku and went to find Radditz. They found him and started to fight. Radditz found out they could hide there power levels but they still could not beat him. Then Piccolo showed his new move, which was meant to defeat Goku later on, and shot Radditz with it. His new move was called Makankosappo (Called Special Beam Cannon in America). Piccolo barely missed Radditz and it seemed all hope was lost until Gohan broke through the space pod, enraged that his father was hurt by Radditz, and sent a blow to Radditz's stomach with his head. This gave Goku enough time to grab Radditz. While Goku was holding Radditz, Piccolo powered up to shoot Makankosappo at Radditz. The beam hit both Radditz and Goku. While they were dying, Piccolo was telling Radditz that Goku's friends would wish him back with the dragonballs and he told Radditz all about the dragonballs. But Radditz had a communicator on his scouter so Vegeta and Nappa heard all about the dragonballs. So after that Vegeta and Nappa decided to go to the planet Earth to find the dragonballs so they could wish for immortality.

After that, all the Z fighters went off to train for the coming saiyans. Yamcha, Krillen, Tien, Chaozu, and Yajirobe trained at Kami's Tower. And when Piccolo found out about Gohan's hidden power, he went to train him. And Goku was to go across snake way to find King Kai and train from him. Goku met a couple problems on the way to King Kai's but finally got there. He was trained in the art of Kaioken and became much more powerful. The other Z fighters became more powerful also.

But when the saiyans arrived on Earth, King Kai had miscalculated when Goku would arrive on Earth after his friends would bring him back to life. But the other Z fighters arrived at the battle field. Nappa then planted some beans and little green men called Cyba-men came out of the ground. The Z fighters were to fight them each one on one. Tien beats one of them real easily. Then Yamcha beats one of them but it comes back with little power left and grabs Yamcha. Yamcha cannot get out of his grasp and the Cyba-man self-destructs and they both die. This enrages Krillen and he uses a blast that splits up and it killed 3 Cyba-men and hit Nappa and Vegeta. The 4th cyba-man got away and attacked Gohan but Piccolo grabbed him and blasted him. The blast that hit Nappa and Vegeta did not affect them.

After that, Nappa joins in the battle. Tien and Chaozu get destroyed in the battle with Nappa. Tien dies from using too much power and Chaozu dies from trying to self-destruct on Nappa. After that, Krillen tells Vegeta of Goku, which makes Vegeta curious. He thinks Goku might be the saiyan they know as Kakoratto. So they decide to wait for Goku for 3 hours. But Nappa was losing patience and went to take on the earth's army. Of course they were no match but Nappa returned when the 3 hours were done. But there was still no Goku. Piccolo, Krillen, and Gohan resume their fight with Nappa but still are not winning. Then, all three of the Z fighters sense Goku's increased power. Nappa and Vegeta read Goku's power level on their scouters and are surprised at it. They quickly decide that it would be bad if the Z fighters meet up with Goku so they decide to destroy the rest of them. Nappa shoots at Gohan but Piccolo quickly runs in front of the blast and gets hit. Piccolo then dies which means Kami dies which also means the dragonballs disappear. Gohan gets enraged at Piccolo's death and shoots Nappa but Nappa hits away the blast. Nappa is about to hit Gohan but Goku saves him. Goku then fights Nappa without Krillen and Gohan. Goku was beating Nappa when Vegeta told Nappa to stop. Then Nappa flys towards Gohan and Krillen but Goku stops him with the Kaioken attack. Then Vegeta destroys Nappa.

Goku and Vegeta go to a place far away from everyone else to battle. Goku and Vegeta start the fight and Goku uses his Kaioken attack against him many times. Vegeta then shoots his gallet gun which could destroy the Earth if Goku dodges it. But Goku used Kaioken attack with a Kamehameha. He goes up to Kaioken times 4 which beats Vegeta's gallet gun. Vegeta then realizes Goku is more powerful then him so he turns himself into Oozaru. Goku is getting beat but Gohan and Krillen arrive there. They try to cut off Vegeta's tail, which is the source of his Oozaru form, but fail. Then Yajirobe comes from his hiding place, where he was the whole battle of Goku and Vegeta, and cuts off Vegeta's tail with his sword. He then runs back to a hiding place. Vegeta goes to fight Gohan and Goku gives Krillen his power left from the spirit bomb he made when he was fighting Vegeta. Krillen throws the Spirit Bomb at Vegeta but he dodges it. Then the spirit bomb went toward Gohan. Goku told him to reflect it. Gohan reflected it and it hit Vegeta. But then Vegeta fell back down from where the spirit bomb blasted him and he got back up mad. He blasted all the Z fighters away. But Vegeta noticed Gohan's tail and try to pull it off but was too late. Gohan beat up Vegeta but Vegeta cut off his tail. Then Gohan in Oozaru form fell on Vegeta and smashed him. And then Gohan changed back to normal. Vegeta got up slowly and used a remote control to get his space pod. Krillen picked up Yajirobe's sword and was going to defeat Vegeta but Goku told him to stop. After that, Vegeta flew into space, heavily injured.

The Freeza saga starts right after the saiyan saga. Master Roshi and the others go to the battle field and take the injured warriors to the hospital. The are disappointed because since the dragonballs are gone they cannot wish there friends back. But then Krillen thinks of what Vegeta said about planet Namek and that there could be dragonballs there. They get to the hospital and Goku cannot get out of it for a while. Mr. Popo comes to tell them of the ship that Kami came to Earth with. Bulma decides to take Krillen and Gohan with her to planet Namek for help. But since Goku is heavily injured, he cannot go with them.

They get in the space ship the next day or so and take off into space. They get attacked while they are in space by some people but gain there friendship. While they are on the ship with the people, they tell about some powerful being named Freeza.

But then Krillen and the others go on to Namek after that. They find a planet that they thought was Namek. But it wasn't. They have a little trouble there but they get away safely.

Then they get to the real Namek. But while they were at the fake Namek, Vegeta was getting healed. And so when Krillen, Bulma, and Gohan got on the real Namek, Vegeta arrived. Some of Freeza's men arrive at where Krillen and the others were. They shot a whole through their ship and so they had no way to get back to Earth. But Krillen and Gohan beat them up real fast. Gohan and the others then went to a cave. They saw Freeza fly by and tremble at his power. Then Krillen and Gohan left Bulma in the cave and went to see where Freeza went. They found him and he was getting a dragonball. Freeza found Krillen and Gohan and Dodoria chased them but failed to destroy them. Then Vegeta ran into Dodoria and Vegeta blew him away. Freeza then had the Ginyu Force come.

Vegeta, Krillen, and Gohan met at Guru's place and sensed the Ginyu Force coming so they joined forces. The Ginyu Force arrived and Captain Ginyu took the dragonballs to Freeza. Guldo was defeated. Then Recoome beat all three of them. Then Goku arrived and knocked out Recoome. He then beat Burter and let Jaice get away. Jaice then found Captain Ginyu and told him about Goku. Goku and Ginyu fought and eventually Goku beat him and was injured.

Dende came to give the password of the dragonballs to Krillen and Gohan. They brought Piccolo back to life and wished him to Planet Namek. Then Guru died and the dragon died also. They did not make there last wish. Freeza then arrives and Krillen, Gohan, and Vegeta battle him. Freeza transforms and kills Krillen. Then he beats up Gohan. But dende heals both of them. Piccolo arrives and fights Freeza. Freeza then transforms again. Piccolo is then no match for Freeza. Gohan gets mad and almost defeats Freeza but does not. Meanwhile, Vegeta comes up with a plan. He wants Krillen to beat him up and then Dende will heal him. When Dende heals him, he will become even more powerful. Freeza then transforms again! Vegeta's plan is going well until Dende decides not to heal him because Vegeta is evil. But Piccolo and the others persuade him to heal Vegeta. Vegeta gets healed and becomes more powerful. Freeza, aware of Dende's healing power, shoots Dende. Vegeta then powers up but finds he is still no match for Freeza.

As Vegeta is getting beat up, Goku arrives. Freeza then kills Vegeta. Goku and Freeza fight and after a while, Freeza tells Goku he is not using all his power. And then Goku tells him the same thing. As they fight, Goku is being defeated. But Goku starts to make a Spirit Bomb. Goku throws the huge Spirit Bomb at Freeza and Gohan and the others think that Freeza was defeated. But then Freeza comes back and destroys Krillen.

At the sight of his best friend's death, Goku gets enraged and becomes a Super Saiyan. Freeza and Goku fight, and it seems Goku will win. But Freeza then aims at the Planet Namek. Freeza states that Goku only has 5 minutes before Planet Namek blows up. And since Freeza can breathe in space and Goku cannot, it seems Freeza has the upperhand. But Goku lets Freeza power-up to his maximum. Freeza and Goku battle and then Kami tells King Kai that Mr. Popo has gathered up all the dragonballs. They then make up a plan. The Earth's dragon will bring everyone killed by Freeza or his men back to life. And when Guru comes back to life, the Namek dragon will come back with one wish left. The wish is that everyone on Namek, except for Goku and Freeza, will be taken to Earth. Then Goku defeats Freeza and Planet Namek blows up. Guru, which is on Earth, makes another Namek the eldest namek and then Guru dies. The people then wish back Krillen, Yamcha, Tien, and Chaozu to life with the namek dragonballs. They try to wish Goku back to life but the dragon says Goku is still alive. This ends the Freeza Saga.
