Spencer vs. Cassadine #3 October 14 – December 27, 1996 – 12 hours on 4 dvdsMs. Benson mentions Caroline was best friends with Carly Roberts and Luke perks up. Luke asks to see a more recent picture. Luke asks if Virginia knows where Carly is? Virginia says she died in a drunk driving accident when she was 16 and that Caroline had nightmares about it for months. She says she refused to learn how to drive and started having a lot of problems in school and at home. Luke asks if there are any pictures of Caroline in high school and they look at her yearbook, surprise Bobbie’s daughter is pretending to be her dead friend, Carly Roberts! Luke asks if Caroline ever showed any interest in her birth mother? Virigina says no, she never did. She asks Luke to be careful when he does find Caroline as it will be difficult for her to come face to face with family that she never knew she had. Bobbie decides to go up to the cabin to see Tony and spend their anniversary together. Bobbie arrives at the cabin and opens the door to find Carly and Tony in bed together (this was set up by Stefan who arranged for Tony to have two flat tires, and a has a fake neighbor call and tell her there is smoke coming from her cabin). Bobbie reams Tony for his betrayal. Carly defends Tony and tells Bobbie off. Bobbie calls her a little witch. Carly throws Bobbie’s various liasons back in her face. At GH, Alan wanders the halls. Stefan and Nickolas greet him. Alan asks if he's reconsidered bailing out GH? Stefan says he'll have an answer when their "other party" arrives. Laura arrives at GH. Stefan says he is considering supporting GH but the funds are Nickolas' inheritance and he would need to stay in Port Charles to oversee how the money is used. Stefan says that Laura needs to decide if he and Nickolas can stay in Port Charles and help the hospital since she wanted them to leave. Stefan apologizes to Laura for putting her in this position. He tells her it is irrelevant to him whether GH stays open, and what he does will be for her sake. She says that GH matters very much to her. She asks Nik if he wants to stay in PC as she doesn’t want him to be hurt by this situation. Nik leaves her alone with Stefan, she comments on how impeccably his manners are and it is the one thing she always hated about his family is how polite they became even while doing their worst. Laura tells Nik that his grandmother practiced medicine there and she will do whatever is needed to keep GH open. She says that she thinks Stefan should make the loan and stay in Port Charles as long as he feels is needed to oversee it. Alan thanks her. Everyone returns to GH and Alan announces that they have new funding and GH will remain open for a long time to come. Tom is upset as Stefan announces that he is the source of funding. Luke is flying home to Port Charles, as Bobbie has flashbacks to all of the little encounters with Carly, the moments that at that time seemed innocent between Carly and Tony now take on a different note. Luke comes to the Brownstone and as Bobbie hears someone walk in behind her she throws something at him (thinking it was Tony), crying, “Damn you!” not realizing it was Luke. with news about Carly being Bobbie's daughter. Before he can say anything, Bobbie tells him about her finding Tony and Carly together at the cabin. Bobbie tells Luke about the things Carly said to her, about her affairs and how Tony was happy in bed with her. Bobbie wonders if Carly might have been the one who called her about the lights in the cabin so that she would come up and find the two of them there? (it was actually the newly arrived Mrs. Landsbury, Stefan’s housekeeper). Luke pumps Bobbie for more information about Carly and asks if Carly would have been getting revenge on her? Bobbie isn't sure and wonders why Carly would do this to her? "I treated her like a little sister; like a daughter," says Bobbie. Bobbie continues to cry on Luke's shoulder. She thought that Tony wanted to make their marriage work and that he still loved her. Bobbie replays how Carly made her way into their lives. She related the birthday fiasco again and when she found Tony and Carly together when she came home a day early from the Spa. Bobbie believes the reason she let Carly get to her is because she reminded her of the daughter she gave up. Suddenly Bobbie asks Luke if he has any news on Caroline. Because of what has happened, Luke tells Bobbie that he's very sorry, but Caroline is dead. Using the story of the real Carly Roberts, Luke explains that Caroling was killed in a car accident in high school. However, Bobbie refused to believe Luke saying that Virginia Benson told her she got a phone call from Caroline so she couldn't be dead. Luke says that Virginia is not living in reality. He makes up a story about talking to the neighbors and school officials. Luke continues that after Caroline's death, Virginia went crazy. Luke again says he's sorry, but it's better this way. Bobbie feels that now she's lost everything, but Luke disagrees. He says she's lost a lot, but not everything. He continues that she's the strongest woman he knows. She tells him first she lost BJ, and now her other daughter too. As she says this, Tony walks in and asks "What other daughter, Bobbie?" Tony wants to know about this other daughter. Bobbie explains to him that she had a child when she was 16 that she gave up for adoption. Luke advises Tony not to pursue this subject. Tony suggest that Luke leave, but he will only if Bobbie says it's okay. She assures him that she's okay, and he says he'll be back in the morning. Tony realizes that Bobbie's big secret was this daughter. Bobbie tells Tony not to use this as an excuse for what he did, and he assures her he's not. Tony asks how the subject of her daughter came up and Bobbie answers that Luke found out today that she's dead. Laura and Stefan are both at the hospital and make an agreement to start over. Nikolas joins them and says he wants to work at the hospital. He wants to help the sick children. He thinks he could be useful as he saw a need when he was visiting Lesley Lu. He doesn't expect to be paid and thinks it could help repair the Cassadine family reputation. "You've got it all figured out, haven't you.," says Laura. Laura thanks Stefan for the loan and he and Nikolas leave. Waiting for the elevator, Nikolas is laughing and tells Stefan that he's learned the lessons he's been taught very well. Someday he'll be as\ good as Stefan. Monica comes over to Laura and asks if she's okay. She wonders what Laura is doing at the hospital at such a late hour. Laura replies, "Having second thoughts." "About what," Monica asks. "Selling my soul to the devil to save this hospital," says Laura. Laura tells Monica the story about her having to say goodbye to Nicholas. She goes on to say that she believes Stefan created the situation at GH just so he could come to the rescue. Monica tells her she sounds like Luke. Laura doesn't think that Stefan ever planned to leave, and she wonders how she's going to explain Stephan, the hero, to Luke and Lucky. Laura also tells Monica that she believes Nicholas is basically a good person, but he does have a devious side like his father and Uncle. Back at Wyndemere, Nikolas tells Stefan that he thought he was brilliant tonight, but really did mean what he said about helping sick children. Stefan explains to Nikolas that he was using his power tonight and was sure that Laura noticed. It's now late and Nikolas goes to bed. Stefan stays up and tells him he has something to do on the computer. Timoria appears on the screen. Stefan is in Steve Hardy’s former office, reading a file on Kevin. Tom comes in, and is appalled to find him there, "This is my father's office. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Alan comes in. Tom is feeling threatened. Alexis comes in, as Stefan's lawyer. She reports that as she's no longer representing Kevin, there's no conflict of interest. Stefan mentions that Tom knew about Kevin's instability but didn't report it. Tom (twice): "I'm getting this distinct grilling feeling." He mentions Hardys vs. Cassadines, and Stefan says, "Actually our families have more in common than you might think. There's a certain mythology that develops around power: they're seen as either devils or saints. Neither of course is accurate, and the truth, when it surfaces, can be disconcerting." "What are you getting at?" blusters Tom. Stefan points out that Tom was leaving General Hospital when he discovered the damage Steve had done to it. Alan jumps in, but Tom explodes. "Maybe my father and I had problems, but I never stopped being proud of him!" Tom plans to stay and watch that Stefan doesn't destroy Steve's dream. Audrey overhears this and comes in, and Alan and Alexis and Stefan leave agreeing to meet later in the conference room. Back at the cabin, there's a knock at the door. Carly rushes to open it thinking it's Tony, but she opens the door to find Luke. "I suppose Bobbie sent you." She tries to shut the door, and he busts in: "HOLD it, little girl! Up against the wall, this is a bust! You've been a bad girl, playing with things that don't belong to you." "We don't own each other!" Carly protests. "They gotta deserve each other!" "Listen, baby," purrs Luke, "I want you to get what you deserve, believe me, as long as it doesn't involve your stepdaddy." Carly feigns ignorance. "Tony and I are in LOVE, OK?, and that's something wonderful, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let you make that ugly.” Luke smirks, "I don't have to, baby, I think you already did that, didn't ya? Tell me, did sleeping with my sister's husband make you hate her any less?" Carly denies that she hates Bobbie. Luke responds, "You're sleeping with her old man, baby, you call that friendship?" "It's not like that! We didn't ask for this to happen! We tried not to!" "Oh, SWEET Caroline, don't sing me that tune! It is so old and tired, and so am I. How was the revenge, babe? Was it as good as you hoped?" "I don't know what you're talking about, OK? My name is Carly. Carly Roberts." "Carly Roberts is dead. She's been dead for nearly six years. It was real neighborly of her to leave that name laying around for you, what does a corpse need a name for anyway, right? And you needed an identity. So you could track down your birth mother and what, what? Torture her?" Carly, cornered, "You are crazy. No, I came here to study nursing." Luke: "You came here to Port Charles to study Nurse Jones. How was the course, was it fun? Was it fun replacing her in that song & dance and in her kitchen, in her bed?" "NO! Look, you stop that! You hate me and you always have and you'd just say anything!" Luke grabs her wrist, "I don't hate you, baby. I don't. This is blood talking to blood. I know you too well to hate you. You know, I went to Florida a couple of times recently and I visited this real sad lonely woman named Virginia Benson. OH, she is miserable because the daughter she raised and loved disappeared and doesn't want to have anything to do with her." Carly gives up, "That's not true, I called." Luke continues,"You knew you were Bobbie's daughter before you ever walked into General Hospital. You knew it before you seduced Tony." "NO!" she cries. Luke continues, "You knew it tonight when you laid in that bed and looked in her face. You knew Bobbie was your mother. Now what, WHAT, sweetheart, did you hope to gain? You want to make her hurt? You want to make her pay? Make her hurt like you hurt? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. But whatever it is, whatever it is, it doesn’t matter. Caroline, it's over. Because you just died." Fearfully she asks, "What do you mean?" "I mean that my sister will never know that the woman wrapped around her husband tonight was her daughter. I didn't tell her, and neither will you!" "What DID you tell her, Luke?" "That her little girl is dead. And believe me, I would make that true, if you didn't have your mother's eyes." They discuss Carly's "pathetic" life. She refers to "Bobbie's M.O. if you can't use it, throw it out, the same way she threw me out." He denies this, and tells about their early life on the street. Carly is heavily into self-pity. He points out, "Hell, kid, you had your own room, and a back yard, and a YEARBOOK!" Carly defends her grand passion with Tony. She really knows Tony. She brought him happiness. Luke laughs, "Oh, baby, it's a long way to shore from here. My arms are getting tired for you." He tells her it's just sex. She picks up a vase. "You and that stupid macho Lord of the Family crap, your type of love is pushing your weight around. That is it. You don't know nothing about me." He tells her he does know she's leaving town. She protests, "Luke, that marriage would be a joke if it weren't so sad." Luke tells her she is NEVER to tell Bobbie or he'll track her down. He gives her money. She throws it at him. They glare at each other. Stefan comes to the door as Bobbie is looking at the photo album. She makes some excuse about allergies, and he comes in "to tell her that the hospital is open again." Bobbie starts to cry openly and Stefan takes her into his arms just as Luke arrives to see this. Luke shouts and goes for Stefan’s throat. Bobbie gets between between them. Luke confronts Stefan about all of his manipulations and sees through it all. He can’t believe that Stefan is laying the Cassdines staying in Port Charles at Laura’s door. Bobbie is glad that Stefan is staying in Port Charles, to finally put an end to this feud. She hopes for Nik to get a chance to get to know his mother, his brother and sister. Luke determines over his dead body and storms out the door after Stefan informs him that it was Laura who asked him to stay in Port Chuck. Luke seeks out Laura; she's at the cemetery kneeling in front of Leslie's gravestone. They talk about Stefan and what he said. Laura's still angry at being manipulated by Stefan. The next day, Bobbie lets Stefan into Steve Hardy's office. She tells him he did a good thing in saving the hospital. She tells him not to be offended if anyone questions his presence in Steve's office. She invites him to drop by the nurses' station if he needs "anything", and begins to ever-so-slowly stroll out of the room until Stefan asks her to wait. Bobbie has been on Stefan's mind since he left her yesterday. He asks how she is feeling. Instead of answering the question, she says she has thought about him too, his kindness and his restraint in the face of Luke's fury. Stefan recognized that she was grieving in some way. Bobbie says she'd better get back to work because they are both working at GH, she thinks they had better keep personal things out of it. Stefan is amused. Bobbie tells Stefan he won't be able to access Steve's computer. Stefan tells Bobbie that today is Nikolas's first day working at the hospital, and he asks Bobbie to keep an eye on him and throw one of those "wonderful smiles" at him now and then. She agrees to do so and leaves. Stefan looks pleased with the encounter, and immediately boots up Steve's PC. He then tries to contact Mac. Nikolas arrives and asks if Bobbie is okay. She tearfully shows him the picture, explaining who the little girl is. She then proceeds to tell Nikolas the story of her teenage pregnancy. He gets her reason for telling the story, and asks her to go for a walk with him, he could use a tour. As they walk off, Stefan watches them go. Stefan finds Mac in the lobby. Stefan claims to be concerned about the charges against Tom Hardy, and about the possibility of a major investigation affecting the confidence level in the hospital. Mac promises to do any investigating with discretion and keep the press out of it. That satisfies Stefan for now, but he may be in touch again later. Nikolas and Bobbie return to the nurses' station area. She widens her eyes at him a couple of times and tells him she never intended to tell anybody about her daughter. He promises not to tell anyone, and then leaves to pick up his assignment for the day. The omnipresent Stefan arrives just in time to see Nikolas leave, and takes his place on the sofa next to Bobbie. He tells Bobbie how good she is for Nikolas. She assures him, "That goes both ways." Luke finds Laura at her mother’s grave and she fills him in on the latest development to save GH. Luke heads over to his club and fills Sonny in on Stefan’s plot as Lucky listens in. Luke asks Sonny to keep an eye on Stefan in his role of overseeing the Stone Cates Wing. Luke then asks Justus how would he go about getting someone deported. Lucky goes home and begins playing Timoria, unaware that Stefan is on the other end of the game manipulating him. When Laura returns home, she tries to explain how important GH is to her and to her mother and why she acted to protect it. Lucky is bitter over the situation. Tom finds Stefan in his father’s office and reaches over Stefan to turn off Steve's computer and again wants to know why Stefan is in there. In fact, why did he stay in Port Charles and rescue the hospital? Stefan counters by asking why Tom went to Africa? Why, just yesterday he had made an impassioned plea for the hospital and his father's dream, yet he had left and gone elsewhere. Did he question the purity of his own motives? It didn't matter, did it, since the end results were positive. Tom agrees that he will cooperate with Stefan as long as it's for the good of GH. Audrey comes in to ask what's going on? Stefan tells them he's Steve's office into a medical library. Tom takes Steve's computer, telling Stefan that he can access anything he needs elsewhere. Bobbie is crying after a confrontation with Tony and Carly. Stefan comes up to her and hugs her. He comforts her as she blurts out that her husband is having an affair. She goes on and on about Carly. He consoles, "Your husband must be a fool." He continues to lay it on as thick and gets her to criticize Luke a bit. Sonny arrives to see Stefan. Stefan asks, all things considered, if Sonny still intends to build the AIDS wing and offers to match the funds. Sonny says yes and no thanks. After Stefan makes a comment about what he heard about Sonny, Sonny replies, "The only thing you need to know about me Mr. Cass-a-dine is I look after the people I care about." A look of mild amusement and intrigue crosses Stefan's face as though contemplating a possible interesting opponent. A grinning Stefan continues to flirt with Bobbie. He gives her a line about their paths crossing, and how there must be some reason for it. Stefan continues his not too subtle line to Bobbie about fate having plans for them, and how lucky he would be to have an extraordinary woman like her in his life. He lays in on thick as he tells her she is a woman of rare charm and physical beauty. He will never forget how good she has bee to Nikolas. He warns her of the risk she will take being his friend, referring to Luke’s animosity towards him. Stefan offers Laura a job at GH. She hesitantly asks Nik what he thinks about her working there. He has no problem with it and wishes her luck. Laura realizes this will give her a chance to spend time with her son. Stefan admits that Nik is curious about her and it will be a good opportunity for him to have a chance to get to know her a bit. Justus tells Laura that he thinks Luke is going to try to Nik deported. He goes onto say that Nik would have to commit a crime. Laura is shocked by Justus’ suggestion that Luke might try to frame her son. Meanwhile, Luke is in the staff locker room and hides as Bobbie and Nik come through as she gives him a tour of the building. Luke listens in from his hiding spot as Bobbie is warm and supportive with Nik. He thanks her for her kindness towards him and this leads her to bash Luke’s attitude. His face hardens as he realizes how taken in she is. Nik and Bobbie go out into the hall and say goodbye. Laura is across the lobby and watches as two security officers stop Nik. They search him and find a bottle of pills and plan on arresting him. Bobbie is horrified and lies and tells them that she put the pills in his jacket while she was holding it during a tour she gave him of the hospital. They let him go, and Luke determines that he will go to the police himself and accuses the staff of showing favoritism to Stefan’s nephew who Luke believes is guilty. Laura defends her son and says if he does that she will go to the police as well and tell them what really happened. Luke has a meltdown over the lack of judgement his wife and sister are showing. Laura tells him she didn’t believe Justus when he told her he suspected Luke would try frame Nik. She can’t believe he would stoop to this level to try to set up a boy, her son. After Luke leaves, Stefan thanks Bobbie profusely for the risk she took in standing up for Nik and that he will never forget it. He commends her courage. She says she knew Nik hadn’t stolen those pills. When they are alone, Laura confronts Stefan and blames him for pushing Luke, pushing him to the breaking point. They have words, and Nik yells at her to stop it. Laura begs him to not get caught up in the game playing. He points out that she won’t even allow him to see her sister. Laura says that she is afraid, afraid of Lulu being infected by the hatred that Luke and Lucky have towards the Cassidines. Laura begs him not to retaliate, and to love his sister enough to be more than a Cassidine, to be her brother. She desperately wants this vendetta to stop and believes Nikolas could be the one to stop it and show his sister another way to live. He stands there with tears streaming down his cheeks. At the Spencers, Bobbie and Luke have words over the situation. Luke feels betrayed by her affection towards Stefan, and her defending Nik. Bobbie can’t believe he would stoop to framing an innocent boy. She sees Stefan as purely innocent, he saved GH, he brought Nk to town to save Lulu, and believes Luke is the paranoid one. Luke tells her she is firmly on the side of the Cassidines. He is desperate to break the hold that they have over his wife. Bobbie points out that when he hurts Nik, that he hurts his wife and Nik is only a lonely teenage boy and he needs his mother. Luke stops her, he doesn’t see him as Laura’s son or with any redeeming qualities. Luke declares he is trying to save his family. Luke knows that Stefan came to town for one reason and that is to take away his family! He knows that Stefan has plans and they are working so well that he can’t believe it (meaning how easily everyone has been taken in). Luke heads over to his club and catches up with Sonny. Bobbie and Laura commiserate together. Bobbie tells Laura that Luke accused her of latching onto Nikolas because she can’t be with her own daughter. Laura hugs her and thanks her for what she did that night. Bobbie encourages Laura to go after Nik, that she has a chance to be part of her son’s life and to take it! Stefan and Luke verbally mix it up on the dock at Windemere. They are interrupted by a call to Stefan on his cell phone; it's Laura who wants to row over and visit Nikolas. Stefan gloatingly passes this info onto Luke, who soon leaves. Laura arrives later and pleads with Nik to not abandon his job at the hospital. Nik says he'll think about it and he leaves. Laura turns to go and sees someone. As emotions wash over her face she turns. We see an arm grab her around the neck and pull her off camera. She's been kidnapped! End of the scene we see her unconscious on a floor somewhere. Laura wakes up with Luke and she tells him off again. She would expect to be betrayed by a enemy, she can’t believe it would come from Luke. She reveals that he asked her to stage a fight so that everyone would believe they are breaking up and she agreed with no questions asked. She can’t believe that he planted drugs on an innocent boy, her son! He tells her that they weren’t drugs but candy. He counted on either her or Bobbie coming to Nik’s defense. Bobbie calls the hospital to say that she would be out for a couple of days, and that her shifts need to be covered. Stefan can hear the pain in her voice. She tells him she is doing the only thing she can do at this point, and she tells him she has to go as she has other calls to make before she will be ready to leave. Bobbie has flown to the Dominican Republic to obtain a quickie divorce. She enters her room and it's filled with exotic flowers and Stefan steps in from the balcony. Stefan tells Bobbie he is there because he thought she could use a friend. Bobbie thanks him for the flowers and jokes about how he looks relaxed without his coat. They drink champagne and Bobbie asks what it's like to always have the best of everything? He tells her that he has gaping holes in his life. He asks if she's going through with it and she says she already has. "Barbara Jean Spencer Brock Meyer Jones is officially divorced. Again." He says he was never married because he was reluctant to inflict his mother on anyone. He says she's "a viper from hell", but she's dying. They move over to the bed and sit on it. She asks if he's lonely and he says he isn't. She says she is. He says that's a shame. They move towards each other and kiss. Bobbie breaks off the kiss and says she didn't mean to do that. He says she did and Bobbie says he's right and that he's a good kisser. She asks if he likes her and he says, "I'm here, aren't I?" They kiss again and start taking off each other's clothes. Bobbie lies trustingly in Stefan's arms as he strokes her back, wearing his Cassadine medallion. Luke comes up to Laura and they being arguing publicly in another staged event. They arrange to take shifts in being home with Lulu in order to not be together. Tom witnesses the argument and he agrees with Luke as he is also suspicious about Stefan’s true motives. Luke is greatly relieved to find there is someone else in town not completely taken in. Nik asks Laura what the argument with Luke as about? She reports he wanted to see Lulu. She invites him to join her for dinner as she can’t go home while Luke is there and she doesn’t want to have dinner alone. He agrees. She tells him how beautiful Lulu is and tells him that he should see here sometime. He smiles as he looks forward to it. Lucky is at home, playing the Timoria game. He defeats the fire-worms on Level 1 and reaches level 2, then decides to stop the game for awhile. He exits the game and a page prints out. It is some landmark and he thinks he recognizes it. He takes the printout to the front porch of the Spencer house and peers into the distance. Excitedly he runs back inside and grabs his coat, "That's it!" he exclaims, "Timoria is Here!" He runs off into the darkness. Luke and Lesley Lu play in the living room with the egg. Cute scene as Luke tries to make a comment to Lulu about a gift from a Cassidine but he isn’t able to get the words out as the little girl is having her own conversation. Tony G. stays in character and tries to interact with the toddler, stay in character, and still get his dialogue out, he starts cracking up. Tony rings the bell at that moment (and they have obviously given up on him ever getting the line out) and tells Luke that Bobbie went to the Dominican Republic to get a divorce. Luke and Tony talk about how the kids get caught in the middle of their parents' fights. Tony says it's not right that it takes two people to start a marriage and Bobbie could end it by herself. Luke just looks at him, and he acknowledges his part in it. #3B The next morning, Stefan nuzzles over to Bobbie, who stops him, saying this has been a terrible mistake. She wanders around in her bathrobe, imagining what Luke will say, she feels like she has betrayed her brother Stefan rises from bed, shirtless and says he's sorry if he misread Bobbie's signals. He understands if she wants to keep what happened between the two of them. She says that would be best as Luke would not understand. Bobbie realizes jumping into bed to dull the pain is an established pattern for her. Stefan says he cares about her. Bobbie wants their relationship to be defined as she doesn’t know what this is. They are immediately transported back to Port Charles, and Bobbie and Stefan emerge from the second floor elevator at GH. Bobbie is all rosy in a pink suit. Bobbie, "Thanks for the ride." Stefan responds "My pleasure." Stefan says she's in charge of their relationship, and will give her all the time she needs. Lucky tells Luke about the boy who died from the drug overdose. Lucky and Luke go off to talk about what's happened and the whole drug situation at school. The conversation changes to the fake separation of Luke and Laura. It's getting tough on Lucky, but Luke tells him it's necessary because they are under attack. They just need to stick it out a little longer. Jason. Sonny and Luke discuss the drug problem. Keesha comes in during the conversation. Keesha confronts Sonny thinking that he would know about the influx of drugs. Luke tries to get her to lay off of Sonny, but Keesha will not be put off. She will not give up until the situation changes. Her words affect Lucky, and he agrees with her. They wonder how long this has been going on, and Sonny guesses it's been since mid-summer. Luke wonders what's different about the Chuckles (his pet name for PC) and he concludes the difference is Stefan Cassadine. On the dock at Wyndemere, Nikolas is practicing Tai Chi and he thinks about being set up with the drugs. Stefan comes upon him and noticies that he loses his concentration. He admonishes Nik for allowing Luke to get in his head. Stefan promises that Timoria must be paid, for Stavros’ death, and for Luke’s attempt to use Nik to link drugs to the Cassidine name. Stefan gives him a pep talk about transforming the negative energy and the conflict within him into triumph. Nik goes back to his practicing when he notices that he's senses someone is out there. Nik helps Katherine up the dock. She introduces herself and tell sher she's scouting locations for a PR shoot for Deception. Nik asks to see her camera and promptly opens it up, takes the film out, and tosses her camera into the river. He tells her "I'm Nikolas Cassadine, and you're trespassing." Nik and Katherine trade barbs. Eventually they both drop the determined attitude and Katherine asks about Tai Chi. They agree to start over again and introduce themselves. Nik has Katherine trying to do Tai Chi. She tells him she's still mad at him for trashing her camera, but Nik says she's not angry. As she leaves she asks if anyone ever calls him Nicky. "Never," replies Nikolas. L&L 15th Anniversary, in celebration of this anniversary, an entire episode of flashbacks airs as Luke and Laura think back over the relationship. Laura opens a package that Luke has left for her and finds a cigarband. This starts the day by remembering to 1980 when Luke first slipped the cigarband on her finger. Meanwhile, over at Luke’s he remembers the day Laura asked him for a job at the disco. Laura storms into Luke's Place and feigns anger but secretly shows Luke the cigar wedding band on her finger. They go outside to reminisce, he tells her the day they got married is the most important day of his life. She tells him that she wants to be with him that night, at the usual place. He asks no kids, no dog? She agrees, they will be alone, just the two of them together. She makes his day by telling him that she misses having him in her bed. They Flashback to 1981 when they married. Another flashback to Helena Cassidine cursing Luke and Laura on their wedding day. Meanwhile back at home, Lucky plays Timoria on his PC while holding LuLu. A male nurse gives some medicine to an unseen person sitting in an old chair, he gives the person a cameo and says, "Now you can have this back." An old woman's hand takes it and holds it tenderly. Luke and Laura dance together in the catacombs and toast their 15 years of marriage. In the last flashback, they go back to the spent the night in Wynham’s department store and they dressed up and danced to "It Was Fascination." At Luke's, Luke is meditating on the Faberge egg. Luke mentions Timoria to Tom. Luke tells Tom to stay on the trail, saying he and Laura broke up over Stefan. Kevin reintroduces Lucy and Stefan. Lucy is cold as ice. Stefan says GH will support Kevin 100%. Kevin says he and Stefan have lots in common. Lucy doesn't trust Stefan. Emily, looking truly downcast, is hanging around at the nurse's station. Nikolas talks to her, and she says she's there to see how Monica's follow-up checkup was. Luke is fixating on the Cassadine pendant-crest when Bobbie storms in, demanding to know why Luke has been talking to Tony? Bobbie tells Luke that Carly is still in town and Tony moved in with her. The news visibly hits Luke between the eyes, he tries to tell her she is long gone. Bobbie fills him in that Carly and Tony are living together in the fishing cabin and he is writing her love songs! Luke says Tony and Carly are just Tony’s mid-life crisis. Bobbie says she and Stefan are friends. Luke says Stefan will be the biggest mistake of her life. Bobbie counters with her take that her biggest mistake was trusting Luke and Tony. Meanwhile, Carly has a nightmare of Luke bursting in and grabbing her by the throat as Bobbie and Tony enter and Bobbie tells her that Tony loves Bobbie, not her! Carly wakes up in a cold sweet, obviously afraid of Luke. Nikolas interacts with a young boy at the hospital. Stefan was watching, and compliments Nikolas. Stefan wants Nikolas to have dinner with Laura now that Luke's out of the picture. Nikolas wants less surveillance from Stefan, as he is tired of being constantly critiqued. Stefan reminds him of what they are trying to accomplish. Nik knows and doesn’t need to be constantly reminded of it. Nikolas goes over to Emily, sitting on the couch near the nurse's station. Bobbie calls Stefan and hangs up when he answers. He knows perfectly well who it is, and smiles. Stefan opens a small velvet box containing a diamond ring. Nik and Stefan are talking as Bobbie appears, and Stefan excuses himself. Nik, playing his part, tells Bobbie he is worried about his uncle. Yes, Nik continues, Uncle Stefan just hasn't been the same since he returned from the Dominican Republic. Stefan pretends annoyance with Nik for spilling his secrets. It's just that he finds Bobbie haunting. She's not ready yet, she needs more time. The guys are at Luke's, piecing together how the Timoria Foundation destroyed the hospital's finances. Luke figures they promised the money, and Steve budgeted for it, but the money never came. Tom figures the financial problems created strain that caused Steve's heart attack. Luke tests Tom's mettle with an offhand remark about the Hardys having a reputation for being level-headed and law-abiding. Tom points out that it hasn't gotten them anywhere with Stefan. Luke assures Tom that Stefan is going to end in a violent death, just like the rest of his family. Tom assures him, "I may have more of a stomach for that than you might think." Luke tells Tom that if he wants revenge, he can help, but Tom has to listen to him. Tom asks, "Excuse me, boss, just a minute. When did I agree to work for you?" Tom then gets talked into being Luke's eyes and ears at the hospital. They move on to Stefan's current interests around the hospital. First, the computer, and now it's obvious why that Stefan is trying to find and delete the Timoria information. Second, "Dr. Kevin Collins." Tom explains that Stefan has visited Kevin a lot, and is interested in the review board hearing. Luke wonders what role Stefan might have had in the malpractice suits. Tom is about to get several depositions from these suits, and he'll try to find out. Before he leaves, Luke urges him to make a copy of the Timoria disk tomorrow and put it in a safe deposit box. Luke poured himself a shot and drank it. He turned back to find a brave Carly sitting on a barstool next to him. Luke pours her a shot, and she and Luke both drain their shot glasses. Carly asks Luke if he's going to kill her as he implied it before. "I was nasty, wasn't I?", Luke remarks, smirking. Carly calls him a jerk and tells him he's playing games with her life. She passionately defends her right to stay with Tony, and tells Luke he can kill her if he doesn't like it. He tells her to "save your Romeo and Juliet for your sugar daddy, baby." He follows by asking, "How much do you think Tony is going to love you when he finds out he is boinking his step-daughter?" Carly sidesteps the issue by pointing out that Tony and Bobbie are divorced. Luke points out that she's still got a problem in this area. Carly pointed out that Luke had a problem of his own, how was Bobbie going to feel when she found out Luke lied to her when he told her Caroline was dead? "The truth is, Uncle Luke, if you wreck my life, you wreck hers too." Luke's expression suggests he is mildly impressed by this show of Spencer blood on Carly's part. He tells her she needs to keep her mouth shut about her relatives and offers "Uncle Luke's gonna let you be." Luke suggests that Carly is going to need a lot of help as Bobbie still loves Tony, and Tony seemed awfully upset by the divorce. Carly says Tony was just surprised. Luke counters, "You play patty-cake while you can, Caroline, because you don't have enough Spencer blood pumping through your veins to be a match for Barbara Jean. You're just a cast-off photocopy, remember?" If Bobbie wants Tony back, she'll get him. Lucky continues to be obsessed with the Timoria game. Laura begins to get concerned. He tries to explain the game, but she orders him to stop and do his homework. However, when she leaves he continues to play. Alexis comes to see Stefan who's toying with the unsuspecting Lucky. Stefan tells her she's going to represent Monica. Tom brings Luke proof of the Cassidine involvement in the GH financial crisis. Tom wants to go public, but Luke urges restraint. Laura goes to Luke's Club, and they fake another public argument. After going outside, Laura expresses her concern about the game Lucky is so involved in playing. She tells Luke that she thinks Lucky is being set up as he is being sent all over Port Charles looking for clues and he doesn’t know who he is playing the game against. Alexis asks Nikolas about his mother. He says he likes her and thinks she's smart. They all seem to believe that Luke and Laura are really split. Stefan explains the sexual harassment case he wants her to take. As Stefan's automated alter takes over, Lucky reaches Level 3 and recognizes it as a radio tower he knows. He splits to go find it. Luke and Laura arrive home and find Lucky gone. Luke checks out the game and sees the name Timoria. He decides to play it. Luke gets to Level 2, and Laura recognizes the picture as the old D&R Railroad tunnel. She heads out while Luke continues. on the other side, Stephan notices a change in tactics in what he assumes is still Lucky. Lucky and Foster stumble around in the dark. Suddenly, Lucky steps into quicksand and begins sinking. He calls out to Foster who will no doubt pull him out. Luke makes it to Level 3. Laura calls from the railroad saying Luke was right about the grounds matching the game. Laura says she'll keep looking for Lucky. In the bog, Lucky tells Foster to stay put and not to worry. Lucky struggles to reach for a log. He's almost sinking in the mud but he manages to grab hold of the log. Luke looks at the Ruby Tower in Level 3 and tries to figure out what it is. Laura calls Luke back. She says she hasn't found Lucky. Luke describes the Ruby tower to her and asks if she sees anything like that as a landmark. She says she sees the radio tower. When he asks what's in between that and the railroad, she says just marshland and bogs. Both are very distressed at this, and Luke says he's coming. Laura says for him to keep playing the game. Laura, in a moment of terror, calls Stefan and says she knows what he is doing and berates him for playing with Lucky. She says she and Luke figured it out and Luke is playing the game now. She asks if he's trying to lure Lucky to his death? He says he would never harm her child. Stefan says Luke is still just paranoid about him. Almost hysterical, Laura pleads with Stefan to help her find Lucky. Still in the marsh, Lucky pulls on the log and it gets dislodged from the shore. He struggles to keep his head above the mud. Laura gets back in the car and calls Luke. She says she heard a dog barking and she thinks it's Foster. Luke says he's on his way. Foster is staring at the mud whining. Did Lucky drown? No, he again struggles to reach for the shore. Laura calls out for him. Lucky tells him where he is but cautions for her to be careful not to fall in. Lucky asks how she found him. Laura says through the game, "a Cassadine trap." Laura takes off her coat and tries to throw the edge of it to him for him to grab onto. He starts to get a strange look on his face, like he's going to pass out. He's not able to reach the coat. Stephan arrives to help. Lucky looks very out of it. Stefan tries to reach Lucky with the coat. Lucky seems to be getting frostbite or something. Stefan says there isn't time and tells Laura to hold onto the coats so she can pull them out. Stefan tries to reach out to Lucky and falls in the bog. He grabs onto Lucky and holds him up just as Luke arrives. Stefan slides into the pool and starts sinking, then Luke arrives on the scene with a rope. Luke pulls Stefan and Lucky out of the quicksand. Lucky's freezing from the cold water. Laura thanks Stefan for his help and Luke blames Stefan, he can’t believe Laura is thanking him. Laura demands to know who's responsible for this situation? Stefan says that he can't tell her. If she persists in asking, she risks losing the one thing she wants most in this world. Laura asks what it is he thinks she wants, and why would he take it away from her? Stefan says he's trying to give it back, that it wasn't a threat, but a promise of hope. Stefan allows her to believe that Helena set this up. Luke scoffs that Helena is on her deathbed and Luke is sure Stefan was behind this lure that could have killed Lucky. Mac and the PCPD arrive. Laura, Lucky, and Mac go to the cars for a blanket. Luke lunges at Stefan and they wrestle for a bit, then Mac breaks it up and Stefan leaves. Mac warns Stefan to be careful, that Luke is dangerous. Back at the Spencer home, Luke tells Laura he found the Cassadine bugging device underneath the dining room table. They stage another fight about Luke's paranoia, yelling loudly into the bug, then Luke smashes the bug. Lucky comes downstairs and Luke wants to know what the Timoria game and its goal is? Lucky tells them the goal was to rescue the lonely Lady Mangard. Luke suggests they try Level 3. Stefan wouldn't go to all this trouble to drown Lucky in a bog at Level 2. Luke and Laura step outside to talk about what Stefan told Laura and the quicksand pit. We see Lady Mangard from behind, rocking in her chair clutching a Cassadine pendant. She's next to a bed that looks similar to Helena's, but there's no life support equipment around. At the brownstone, there's a pounding at her door, when she opens it, it's Stefan, all bloody and covered in mud. Bobbie tends to Stefan's wounds as he tells her about what happened with Lucky. In Stefan’s version, Lucky was lured to the bog by someone he met on the internet in some computer game. Laura called Stefan to help her find him and he was able to do so but in trying to save Lucky that he was also caught in the bog. Luke had to save both of them! Bobbie can’t believe Luke saved his life. Stefan jokes that it was only because he was holding Lucky’s head above water. Stefan then plays the wounded victim that Luke thinks he is behind the computer game. Bobbie can’t believe that one and thinks his parents should monitor his computer use or take the game away from him. She says that Luke never used any authority in raising him. All patched up, Stefan gets up to leave, but Bobbie insists on helping him get back to Wyndemere. She says she should be leaving, using the excuse that Stefan probably wants to go to sleep. He assures her that he never goes to bed this early and invites her to come in and have a drink. She agrees asking for a stiff drink of anything. Stefan pours then excuses himself to go change. Bobbie notices a small box by a card with her name. She picks up the box and opens it. There's a diamond ring inside. She's stunned. Stefan comes back, all cleaned up, and notices that she's found the ring. He comments that he didn't know how to ask her, and now he doesn't have to. Bobbie is stunned that Stefan would want to marry her so she makes a snide remark about the ring being a consolation prize because he slept with her. Stefan gets angry and suggests that she leave. She decides not to and wants to start things over. Bobbie tells him that she cares about him, but that's not what Stefan wants to hear. He can get that from the staff or the dogs. Stefan tells Bobbie that he could tell her he loves her, but he doesn't think that's what she wants to hear. He says he's always known how he'd recognize the woman he would marry. "She'd be the one person on this earth even lonely than I am." He asks her if she's imagined the rest of her life? Bobbie is shocked at Stefan's proposal and tells him he knows very little about the woman to which he has proposed. Stefan disagrees and promptly recites her past doings including: prostitution, adoption of her only child, her previous failed marriages and several of her past friendships. Bobbie is surprised at how much Stefan knows about her, but she is relieved. She tells him there are two types of women out there; those who are princesses like Laura, and those who are not, like her. Stefan tells her that when they made love, she allowed him to escape back to himself and that he doesn't want to let her go, but will not allow her to be simply his mistress since it would reflect badly in the eyes of Nikolas as well as set a bad example for Lucas. Bobbie asks him point blank, why she would want to be anyone's wife again after three failed marriages? Stefan explains his philosophy on love, life and marriage and lets her know that he takes the committment very seriously and bases it on children, property, and security. He tells her there would be an account of $5-$6 million in her name as a wedding gift which he would contribute to every month for her to spend on herself and Lucas as she sees fit. He lets her know that in marrying her, she would become a very influential woman and if she chose after 6 months not to remain married to him, that her security as well as Lucas' would not be an issue. He lets her know however, that once she became his wife, he would do everything it possibly took to hold onto her and keep her happy. He tells her he will be steady, a source of comfort, and encouragement. He expects in return, loyalty, honestly and affection. Bobbie confronts Stefan with her concerns. She wonders whether he is simply tired of raising Nikolas alone and merely looking for a mother to raise him. He tells her that Nikolas already has a mother and that that is not an issue. Bobbie tells him that Luke thinks he is in Port Charles to seek family revenge against him. She asks Stefan how she knows that Luke isn't right and that marrying her isn't simply a tactic to fan the flame between the Cassadine's and the Spencer's. Stefan admits that Luke is indeed his enemy but lets Bobbie know that marrying her is a very serious step for him and not one stemming from some sick sort of revenge against Luke. Bobbie tells Stefan that if she chooses to marry him, Luke will still accept her and that her answer will not hinder on Luke's feeling about the whole thing. Bobbie leaves, telling Stefan she needs time to think about her answer. Stefan tells Nik that he has asked Bobbie to marry him. Nikolas is concerned, and the next morning asks his uncle of his motives since he doesn't want to see Bobbie hurt or used. Nikolas says people are just tools to Stefan. Will he hurt Bobbie? No. Use her? Yes, but Bobbie won't know it as he appreciates her kindness and seems to genuinely care for her. Stefan assures him that his proposal does not stem from revenge. Stefan says he's lonely, and doesn't repay kindness with harm. Bobbie treats him like he's normal, and he and Nikolas both like her. Marriage will make him a citizen, give them someone to talk to over dinner, and he thinks they'll be happy. He gives Nikolas his word that he will not hurt her. Luke and Lucky discuss Stefan and why he pulled Lucky out of the mud and saved his life. Luke connects the game, Timoria, to what happened and lets Lucky know that Stefan was leading and he was simply following the clues. Luke tells Lucky that they can find out more if they get to the final level of Timoria. The two try to log on but there is no response. They then set up a macro which allows the computer to automatically try logging on every 10 minutes. It takes until morning but the two are finally successful and awake to the sound of Timoria welcoming them back. Bobbie shows up at the Spencer's and tells Luke she has something to discuss with him. Bobbie and Luke argue over Stefan. Luke knows she saw Stefan last night. She says that Luke is paranoid, and Stefan didn't try to kill Lucky and saving Lucky was a gift, not a debt. Luke maintains that Stefan did not save Lucky's life, Lucky agrees. Luke questions Bobbie’s instincts and goes over all of the bad choices she has made in the last year and questions her judgement. Insulted, Bobbie leaves in a huff. Luke gets a phone call from the WSB saying Helena isn't in Greece. She's missing and may even have been sick. Laura proposes letting Bobbie in on their master plan. Luke says Bobbie would tell Stefan everything. Luke goes to check on things at the club and makes a midnight bathtub date with Laura. Bobbie, back at Stefan's, wants to know if he'd be good to Lucas? Stefan says he would, and he sounds honest about it. Bobbie says that was her last reservation. She says she'll marry him. He knows her past. She wanted a handsome man, a gracious life, a fortune. She always tried to be what her husbands wanted, but Stefan likes her for herself and she can finally be herself. They kiss. Bobbie asks, "We're going to be happy, aren't we?" Stefan says he can honestly promise her the time of her life. Bobbie and Lucas arrive in the fog on the island, coming to visit Stefan. Bobbie introduces Lucas and Stefan to each other. Nikolas arrives and Lucas is immediately enthralled and runs off to explore the place. Nikolas conveys that he has heard the news of the upcoming marriage and approves. Bobbie is happy, but she has not yet told Lucas that she plans to marry Stefan. Stefan asks Bobbie how long must he wait to marry her? Bobbie says it will be a big adjustment for Lucas. Lucas runs into the room, "Can we stay for always?" Nikolas says he is having a lot of fun. Stefan says it is the first time Nikolas has said that since they came to town. He opens this hope chest and brings out four dresses that he has chosen. Bobbie is enchanted and takes them out, completely pleased and overwhelmed. Stefan smiles a real smile. "Marry me, Barbara." Stefan apologizes for being presumptuous. She loves the dresses and tells him everything's fine. He guessed her size correctly. He's already made a few wedding plan phone calls. . He teases her and asks if she feels bullied. She says she is amazed, dazzled and so touched, "I will marry you tonight, Stefan. Why not?" Luke and Lucky are safely ensconsed in Luke's office at the club, playing the computer game and trying to figure out what Stefan is trying to do. Lucky grows frustrated. Luke says "We're smarter than the shadow man, aren't we?" Lucky, Mike, Luke and Sonny crowd around and try to figure out the landmarks. Lucky says it's about a place called Long Whiskers, a place in the mountains that he went to in eighth grade. Sonny notices that the trail leads out of town. They agree that it might lead out of town to divert them and maybe they ought to be looking closer to home. Stefan calls Alexis on her cell phone and invites her to the wedding. Nikolas comes down, calls him impetuous for doing this so soon and asks what the rush is. Bobbie opens yet another present from Stefan, a creamy lace nightgown. She asks how he can possibly know her taste and all the things she has dreamed of having since she was a little girl. Luke approaches Wyndemere, on the hunt for Helena. Unaware of his sister's upcoming marriage to Stefan tonight, he begins to climb the stairs, hears a noise, and is conked on the head. He falls unconscious to the ground. Alexis steps over Luke's prone form, and when he comes to, he asks her, "Didn't anyone teach you in all your education that it's rude to come up and hit people on the head with metal objects?" Alexis tells him, "You're lucky I didn't shoot you, you're trespassing." She asks what he's doing on "our" island. He didn't know she was a Cassadine cousin. Luke is looking for Helena. Alexis says she's on a Greek island, and Luke informs her not any more. Luke suggests hopefully, "Maybe she croaked." Alexis retorts, "You have to be human to die." She tells Luke that Helena's whereabouts are none of his business, and when he starts toward the house, she holds a gun on him. Luke wants to know why Alexis protects Helena? Alexis muses what it was like being born female in the Cassadine family. But Stefan opened the doors and set her free, allowed her to become a Cassadine woman with a mind of her own. She owes him but on the other hand, she doesn't owe Luke a thing, including this long tedious discussion of 'Alexis, the early years.' Judge Rose comes up to Alexis at this point. Luke wants to know why he's there, but the goons escort Luke off. Bobbie's delighted with the dress. She emphasizes all the words. Lucas is having a good time playing with Nik. Cowboys exhausted, they start playing Star Wars. The phone rings. Stefan says, "You spoke to the doctor? Then everything's under control." Alexis brings Judge Rose in. Stefan hears about Luke being outside. Nikolas and Lucas come in, all spiffed up, and here comes the bride. Stefan gives her the Cassadine crest and tells her, "You're a Cassadine now." At the Spencers' Luke says he isn't going to be bested by a "half-baked Byzantine bum." They think about the game. They figure out that "Mangard" is an anagram of "Grandma." They wonder if it's Helena? We cut to the mysterious lady in the chair. Luke, Laura, and Lucky ponder all the Timoria clues. Laura recognizes the grave headstone as her mother's. They begin to consider the remote chance that Leslie is alive, but Luke advises Laura not to get too hopeful since it's a likely Cassidine mindgame. Stefan surprises Bobbie with plans for a honeymoon tour to Greece. When she asks about Lucas, he says bring him with. Bobbie frets over telling Luke and Tony about her marriage to Stephan. Stefan tells Bobbie that Lucas already knows about the trip and has been out shopping. When Stefan gets a call, he looks shocked at some news saying, "No, when?" Luke and Lucky continue to play Timoria through Level 5. After Tom Hardy arrives and Luke and he go outside to talk, Laura gets a frantic call from Stefan who says, "You have to tell me everything you know about a game called Timoria." When she tells him about the game, he insists she meet him immediately in secret as it could mean life or death. As Luke and Tom discuss Stefan, an excited Lucky comes out saying he's figured out that what they want is in Rochester. When they all return inside, Laura is gone. Back at Stefan's, he makes profuse apologies to Bobbie and rushes out. #3C My many
