Spencer vs. Cassadine #19  June 28 - December 7, 2000 - 8 hour original edit

DVD #19A  Roy mentions what good friends he is with Luke and Laura and how he has known them since running the college disco with Luke. Lucky was surprised by this, but wondered if Roy knew about the rape. Lucky tells Roy that Luke raped Laura. Roy tries to defend Luke and tell him that he would have known that Luke raped Laura. Roy is baffled and surprised, but still believes that Luke loves Laura. Roy offers Lucky a job at Luke's Place.  Later, Roy admitted to Laura that Lucky told him that Luke raped her. An angry Laura later accused Helena of poisoning Lucky against his parents. Laura vowed to convince Mac that Helena had killed Stefan. Stefan is satisfied that Helena still believes he is dead.

7/4  Laura joins Bobbie and Roy at the Fourth of July picnic. Laura bonded with Bobbie as they discussed Bobbie's love for Roy. Laura is happy that Bobbie has a second chance at love with Roy and encourages her to hang onto it! As Bobbie witnessed Laura longing for Luke, Roy assured Laura that Luke still loves her.  Laura told Bobbie that Roy was moving out of the brownstone.

7/6  Laura showed up (to do recruitment for her job) and found Liz in the waiting room. Liz told her that she was there to see about volunteering. Laura counseled a young girl who was raped by her boyfriend's friend. The girl expressed her disdain for her boyfriend's touch and how she can't bring herself to make her forget the experience. Laura flashbacked to her and Scotty!  We saw a beautiful very young, very blond Laura telling Scotty that she can't stand to touch him and that he can't understand.

7/7  Bobbie has a nice conversation with Laura about dreams coming true and leaves the number with her so if Luke calls he will be able to get in touch with her. Scotty comes in and Bobbie heads to Roy so they can depart. Laura asks Scotty to defend Luke. Scotty admits he is not at the top of his game these days and turns her down. He tells her Happy Anniversary. She didn’t think he would remember they reminisce about when they were young and in love, Scott tells her that was the best time of his life but he is glad things change. Dominique gave him Serena. He loves Lucy but she is losing it. Laura tells him to try and not hold all of the awful things Lucy is saying against her. She is hurt and lashing out. Laura asks him to reconsider defending Luke. He tells her to try to find another lawyer, but call him if she can't

7/10  Laura goes to Jake’s to get away from the real world and have fun, she runs into Tim. He asks her to dance. Mike and Tammy show up, Tammy asks a drunk Laura if she needs a ride somewhere. Laura gets upset at Tammy and tells her that when she was comforting her husband the day of Lucky’s funeral she didn’t interrupt them and would like Tammy to return the favor. Tim offers to take Laura home, Laura declines. Laur, calls her mom for help and advice. Her mom suggests a vacation to recharge her spirit.

Note Luke and Laura are both off the show from 7/11 - 9/5.

9/6  Roy made it out of the US and caught up with Luke in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Luke was posing as an outside bazaar vendor. Roy took pleasure in teasing him about his friend in the US who bar he was taking care of and there was a fire, which destroyed all his friend's records. They laughed for a while and then returned to Luke's apartment where Roy further teased him about his disguise. By this time Roy discovered that Luke already had a plan in mind. He had planned to return to Port Chuckles, as he called it. Roy thought that might be a good idea since no one would look for him there.

9/7-9/8  In Prague, Roy was not supportive of Luke’s odd proposed disguises for sneaking out of the country. With Interpol closing in, Roy and Luke step up their efforts to escape from Prague unscathed. Luke and Roy make plans to leave Prague and slip back into Port Charles with assistance from a Portuguese contact. Things haven’t been the same between them since Luke confirmed Lucky’s story that Luke raped Laura, plenty of tension now. Luke and Roy hash over some old history and reopen a few ancient wounds. Luke assumed Roy would approve of the travel plans he had made, which were to get to Portugal where some pilot Luke knows and trusts would fly them to the Florida Keys. Roy countered with Sonny’s arrangements to get Luke back to Port Charles undetected. Luke refused to accept Sonny’s help, saying he had no reason to trust Sonny. A few minutes after Roy reluctantly left for the U.S., two guys in suits pounded on Luke’s hotel door.

9/11  Luke is cornered in his hotel room by two Interpol agents knocking at the door. Roy saves Luke's skin again by impersonating an FBI agent and doing some fast talking. He succeeds in persuading the two Interpol operatives to hold off an arresting Luke. The agents tell him he has two hours. Luke is half way out the window when Roy enters the room.

9/14  Luke and Roy checked into a London hotel disguised as a country squire and his manservant. Roy thought Luke's plan to hide in the open was stupid and wanted to think of something better. Roy also hated the fact that he always had to be the sidekick and never the main man.

9/15-9/18  Luke and Roy split up. Luke went into the London bank to withdraw money from his Swiss account, but as he exited, agents were waiting to arrest him. Luke tried to bluff his way out of an arrest, but the agents weren't buying his act.

9/20  Bobbie arrived at the police station to see her brother. Bobbie told him how worried she has been over him. Luke told her not to worry because he is innocent and it would be proven. After all there is no weapon, no body, and no evidence. Bobbie just shook her head. She told Luke that she had left word for Alexis so that she could represent him in this situation. Luke asked about Lucky. He asked Bobbie to tell Lucky first that he had been captured and not to find out in the papers. She said consider it done. She asked if Luke wanted to see Lucky. He responded yes, but only if Lucky wanted to see him of his own volition.
Alexis met with Luke at the station. He was glad to see her. Luke asked her straight away if she thought he killed Stefan. Alexis told him no because she knew it was Helena's doing. Alexis then decided she had to tell Luke about Eddie's Angel. Luke was quite tickled by her story, but he was not bothered by it in the least. He was comfortable with Alexis being his attorney. While Luke is talking to Alexis, Felicia enters and the PD to see Mac and is surprised to see Luke in custody. Luke spotted Felicia leaving with Mac and was hurt she did not visit him.

9/21-9/22  Alexis  informs Luke that Mac brought the search warrant up alone, which would take Luke off the case. Dara tells Alexis and Luke that the judge has been banned Alexis as Luke's lawyer because of a conflict of interest. Roy visits Luke and disables two listening devices the police have planted in the interrogation room so they can’t overhear how Roy tried to help Luke return to PC. When Dare realizes they can't hear the conversation she ends Roy's visit. Luke grouses to learn that Alexis will no longer be able to represent him.

9/25  Luke was his usual charming self towards Scott when Scott tried to discuss being his attorney. Scott admitted that he agreed to take Luke’s case a few months ago when Laura requested it of him. Luke seemed quite jealous and told Scott that he wouldn’t accept Scott’s help, because he wasn’t going to be a pawn in some plan Scott may have to win Laura back. Scott warned Luke that the case against him looks very bad, particularly due to his jailbreak, but Luke wasn’t willing to listen. Later Bobbie stopped by the jail to visit her brother and saw Scott first. Scott told her she needed to persuade her brother that he has no chance of avoiding “25+ years in Sing-Sing” if he tries to defend himself. While Bobbie and Luke were talking, she showed him recent photos of Lulu and Lucky and then urged him to accept Scott’s help out of love for his children. He accused her of playing dirty but did seem to consider her advice.

9/27  Mac visited Luke and questioned him about his new attorney. As anticipated, Luke rebelled and accused Mac of framing him for Stefan's death. Luke told Mac he was innocent and would be representing himself since the police department through Alexis off the case. Luke asked Mac to put all the personal stuff aside and look at the facts, surely you must know that I did not kill Stefan. Luke's statements fell on death ears. Mac started to leave and before he got to the door, he told Luke that he had to the end of today to advise him of counsel.
Alexis went to see Luke. She began with his defense and started in on the reasons why he has to have an attorney today and that attorney should be Scott Baldwin. Luke goes over his past with her about Scott and Laura. Alexis jokingly called him a wife stealer and told him that his past with Scott was a long time ago and is over. However his past with Felicia is not and rings very strong in Mac's ears. They need to make a move and make it fast. The trial could start as early as next week and he has to have an attorney. Scott shows up at the meeting and between him and Alexis they convince Luke to concede.

9/28  Alexis delivered the bad news to Luke that the petition she filed to get the evidence against him dismissed was denied. She asked him about his alibi and Luke wouldn't tell her the truth. As she left, Roy came in. Roy deduced that Luke was with Felicia the night that Stefan was allegedly murdered. Luke refused to use Felicia as an alibi, even if he was with her.

9/29  Felicia visited Luke and told him that Mac wanted her to see him. They reminisce a little and Felicia asks Luke if he wants her to tell the police where Luke was the night that Stefan went missing. She told him that she would do it to help him, no matter what it cost her. Luke wouldn't let her make such a sacrifice unless she was looking to get out of her marriage. Luke says that she shouldn't risk her new beginning with Mac and that Scotty will be able to get him off with reasonable doubt. Felicia tells him that if he changes his mind she will testify for him.

10/3  At the jail, Alexis is forced to referee another verbal sparring match between Luke and Scott. Dara makes a shrewd move to divide and conquer the Spencer camp. Luke threatens to fire Scot, again, if the attorney dares to place a call to Laura.

10/4  Luke's trial did not go well on the first day. Mac and Dara did a great job convincing the jury of Luke's guilt. Scott Baldwin called Felicia to meet with him outside of Kelly's after court. He told her that he believes that she knows something that will free his client. She agreed, but said that this information could hurt a lot of people. Scott said he realizes her predicament, but Luke's life is at stake and that he could go to prison for the rest of his life if she did not come forward. Scott told Felicia he did not want to pressure her, but he did want her to give serious thought to Luke's situation.

10/5  Luke has one visitor after another in jail. First it’s Alexis, who’s there to tell Luke that he’d better come up with an alibi fast or he’s going to spend the rest of his life in prison. She doesn’t mention Felicia, but tells him that if he’s protecting someone, he needs to start thinking about himself. He says that if he testifies he can win the jury over. She tells him it’s a horrible idea. Just then Dara barges in and demands that Alexis leave. She claims that Alexis’s ban on representing Luke includes advising him in jail. Alexis counters that a judge can resolve that issue. Then Roy arrives, fresh from getting a lecture from Mac that he’s under surveillance to make sure he doesn’t break Luke out of jail. Roy tells Luke that Sonny has made all the arrangements to get him out but then adds that maybe it would be better if Luke stayed to prove his innocence. Helena is the next visitor. She tells him she’ll miss him when he’s locked away but won’t visit him in a “vulgar” prison. He accuses her of framing him. She denies it. He says he knows she killed Stefan, if Stefan is dead at all. She taunts him by asking how his children will view him once he’s a convicted murderer. “Lucky’s still bitter toward you,” she reminds him. Felicia visited Luke and told him that Mac wanted her to see him. She asked him if he wanted her to testify on his behalf and told him that she would do it to help him, no matter what it cost her. Luke wouldn't let her make such a sacrifice unless she was looking to get out of her marriage.

10/6  Scotty visits Luke in jail says Felicia will be the first witness, Luke says oh no she won't! Luke and Scotty spar about women, their past, Scott's ability as a lawyer, and Luke as a husband, and wife stealer. Next, Roy visits Luke in jail. Mac arrives at the courthouse just as Felicia has taken the stand and is testifying that she knows Luke didn't kill Stefan as she was with Luke all night.

10/9  Mac is humiliated in public after Felicia testifies that she was with Luke the night Stefan disappears. Dara, trying to make her case, rips into Felicia and gets her to elaborate and explain that she and Luke actually sex, right before Mac’s unbelieving eyes. Dara does do a little damage by insinuating that Felicia is lying for her lover, but Scott counters by pointing out that Felicia stands to lose her newly reconciled marriage and her children by stepping forward. There are a variety of reactions to Felicia’s confession: Laura leaves the room in tears. She ends up on a bar, drinking Scotch on the rocks (Luke’s drink) toasting her "husband and his alibi, may they be happy together.” Luke is torn, he’s grateful for Felicia’s  help, but sorry at the great cost to her. Bobbie says, "I don’t think Thank you is enough. If it’s any help to you, my brother will be a free man."

10/10  While Laura drowned her sorrows with scotch, Scott came to her rescue when she was harrassed by an overzealous reporter. She and Scott reminisced about their old life together and she thanked him for always being there for her.

10/11  Lucky went to see Luke. Needless to say, Luke was stunned by his son's arrival, although he was extremely happy to see him. Lucky was himself again. He asked his father how he was doing. Lucky actually admitted that he did not want his father to be imprisoned. Luke asked Lucky was everything okay because the last heremembered they were worst enemies. Lucky asked his father to be calm and just let him talk. Luke agreed. Lucky began to tell his father the truth about Faison/Helena's mind control over him. He also said that he was going to get help, this made Luke feel relieved. He also told his dad that his dislike for his actions was not all Faison and it was hard to have him as a father.
Lucky stated outright that he loved his father (Luke said ditto) and that he would be in the courtroom to support him. The bailiff entered the visitation room and announced that the jury had reached their verdict. After Luke was led back into the courtroom, the judge asked for the jury's verdict. The jury found Luke not guilty of Stefan's murder. After the verdict Luke and Felicia's eyes met, they smiled briefly at one another. She went over to him and then Luke said thank you. Felicia responded with you're welcome and just walked out of the courtroom.

10/13  Mac offered Laura his support and Laura told him he didn't need to make up for his wife's actions. Upon his release, Luke went to the club where he and Roy toasted to his freedom. Luke flipped when learned that Claude had booked a band, suspecting that it was a teenybopper nightmare or country. He was surprised when Claude himself took to the stage with his reggae band. Bobbie counseled Luke that he needed to talk to Laura who was considering leaving Port Charles for good. Unfortunately, Laura saw him dancing with Felicia at the club.

10/16  Laura’s crushing disappointment over Luke’s relationship with Felicia was very evident as she demanded service at Luke’s Club and made snide remarks about Flea. She once again drank scotch and this time poured her heart out to Bobbie. She then asked Bobbie if she could “borrow” Roy. Roy obliged by dancing rather seductively with Laura, who made sure Luke saw them. At one point, Roy kindly alerted Laura that Luke could probably tell she was crying.
A short time later, Scott arrived, pretending that he was late for his “date” with Laura. It turned out that Roy had called him and asked him to help Laura. Scott and Laura left Luke’s Club and returned to her house, where they drank coffee and talked about what Laura termed the irony that Scott was present at the beginning and end of her life with Luke. He was somewhat skeptical that it was really over, but she insisted it was. She also asked him to finalize her divorce from Luke. He said it was one favor he’d very gladly do for her. Felicia told Luke she should have come forward sooner with his alibi. She said she was selfish in hiding the truth in order to save her marriage. He replied that it didn’t matter. She didn’t stay long at the Club after Laura left. Luke decided to hide in his office and smoke his cigars.

10/17  Lucky pays a visit to his mother to find out how she's been handling the latest revelations about Luke. Apologizing for pushing her away all year, Lucky shakily confides to Laura how he was programmed by Faison following his kidnapping. Relieved to learn the truth at last, Laura tearfully comforts her anguished son. Lucky says he is getting help from Kevin. Laura says that Helena is more involved than anyone believes. Lucky says he doesn't care about Helena he just wants things to go back the way they were. Lucky tells his mother that he missed her this past year and he was sorry that he let Faison brainwash him. Lucky tells Laura that he doesn't want Luke to do anything stupid. Later, Mac stops by to see how Laura is doing. Laura tells Mac she hasn't been this happy in a year she finally got a glimpse of her real son. She also says that she made the decision to move back to NC but Lucky's visit may have changed her mind. Mac and Laura commiserate over their lives, and the twists they are taking.

10/19  Luke eavesdrops on his son as Lucky discusses with Nikolas the slow and torturous progress he's making in his sessions with Kevin. Luke sneaks into Kevin's office and reads the psychiatrist's file on Lucky.

10/20  Laura returned to work at the hospital and shared her plan to stay in Port Charles with a pleased Scott. Bobbie remarked on their closeness and Laura more or less told her to mind her own business. Laura ran into Helena who informed Laura that she would not be working at the hospital any more due to her scandalous lifestyle. Alan was unable to come to Laura's defense since the hospital needed Helena's money. Roy overheard Luke making plans to leave the country and wondered why his friend felt the need to skip town. Luke confessed to Roy that Helena had messed with Lucky's head and he was going to make her pay for hurting his son. Roy tried to stop Luke from doing something he would regret, but Luke forged ahead with his plan for revenge. Luke slipped into Helena's room and put his hands around her neck, consumed with the need to end her life.

DVD #19B  10/23 Scott offers to help Laura get her job back but she defiantly insists she won't return to GH. Tightening his grip on Helena's scrawny throat, Luke reminds her that he can't overlook the way she messed with his son's head. Helena warns Luke that if she dies Lucky's brainwashing will automatically move to a new level guaranteed to cause the Spencers great pain for years to come.

10/26  Laura and Scotty have coffee together and Laura tells him about needing a job. Scotty offers to sell her his company, “Deception”. This is the cosmetic company that Lucy and Katherine used to run. Scotty offers to lend her the money to buy Deception but Laura declines. Laura calls Edward to have a meeting about lending her money for Deception. Bobbie walks in on Luke packing and wants to know what's up. Luke of course doesn't tell her anything. She asks Luke not to give Carly a job if she asks for one. Roy shows up and Bobbie asks him why Luke is going out of town. Luke tells her that Roy isn't involved with whatever he is doing. Later on the docks Helena stops Lucky and tells him that she is really dissapointed her. Lucky tells Helena that she is pathetic and the whole thing is over because he knows she hired Faison to kidnap him to get back at his parents. He turns to walk away and she says, “Always protect your Queen”.  Helena is unpleasantly surprised to find Lucky still in a highly rebellious mood.

10/27-10/30  Laura explains to Edward why she's looking for an investor to help her get "Deception" back on its feet. After striking out with Edward, Laura comes to the penthouse with a business proposition for Sonny. Sonny agrees to finance Laura's new business venture but only on the condition that she find a place for Carly somewhere within the company.  At Nik's house, he is turning out the lights and someone grabs him from behind and puts a cloth over his mouth. Luke chloroforms Nikolas and drags the unconscious boy towards the door just as Elizabeth arrives at the cottage. Luke plays his trump card with Helena. Holding a garrote to the throat of Helena's unconscious grandson, Luke orders his old nemesis to reveal what she's done to Lucky. Helena warns that any attempt to fully deprogram Lucky will trigger the boy's homicidal tendencies planted by post-hypnotic suggestion. As Luke begins to tighten the rope around Nikolas' neck, Lucky arrives with Elizabeth and begs his father to stop.

10/31  Luke goes to GH to see Kevin but he is gone so Gail Baldwin consults with a worried Luke. Gail has been working with Kevin on Lucky’s case. She tries to assure Luke that they are well aware of the brainwashing programming that has been done. She asks him to refrain from doing anything. He runs into Laura and she informs him that she is quite capable of getting on with her life. Before Laura can leave, Helena approaches her and gives Laura an earful about how Luke chloroformed her firstborn son and threatened to murder him.  An irate Laura goes to ask Luke if this is true. He looks sheepish!

11/1 Laura was seeing red with Luke as she confronted him about kidnapping Nikolas. Luke tried to explain, but Laura was getting on him for involving Nikolas. Finally Luke told Laura about Lucky's deep programming and she backed off a little. However, Laura made it quite clear that Luke was not to pull another stunt like this. She was not willing to loose one son for another and she was sick and tired of her children havingto pay for their parents' mistakes.
A brave Nikolas visited Luke. Needless to say Luke was quite astonished. He asked if Lucky was going to run in and save him. Nikolas informed Luke that Lucky knew nothing about his visit. He told Luke that he was there to straightened out a few things. Nikolas said that he understood Luke's reasons for kidnapping him and that they are both upset with Helena for what she has done to Lucky. But he wanted to leave the threats and anger nonsense to Luke and Helena and not to pull Lucky and him in the fight. Nikolas went on to say that he does not care about the past because he and Lucky have over come the long-standing family feud. Just keep us out of you plans to retaliate against Helena. Luke vehemently denied that he had any thing to do with Helena's anger and revenge. Nikolas told him that he could keep the blinders on if he wanted too, but there is equal blame between him and Helena for this family feud.

11/3-11/6  Still seeking investors, Laura enthusiastically makes her pitch to a skeptical Amanda Barrington. Amanda turns down Laura's business proposition and haughtily informs the would-be entrepreneur that her chances of succeeding with Deception are basically non-existent given her lack of business experience. Laura tells Amanda that she worked as a model once, but other than that, she has no experience in the cosmetics industry, but she did run the GH Youth Outreach program, she's traveled the world, and she can think on her feet. Amanda reminds her that she has no experience running a company, no professional backing, no contacts, no track record, and no assurance of product placement. She can't even get a business loan from a bank. Sorry Laura, but she can't possibly finance this dream, and she doubts if anyone would. After Laura admits that she's been striking out at finding private investors, Scott presses her to accept his original offer of help. Scotty interrupts as Laura is talking to Sonny at PC Grill. Scotty warns Sonny that he will not sell his company to Laura if Sonny’s money is behind it!

11/8  Roy and Luke were working on accounting matters in his office when Roy told him that the club was broke. Roy gave Luke an "I told you so" because he begged him not to stop the card table in the back. Right after Roy finished that statement officers from Interpol and the IRS busted into Luke's office and informed him that they had taken control of all his assets domestic and foreign, not to mention the ice princess. Luke was enraged. He told them repeatedly that the ice princess was his and that it was a gift. It did not belong to Helena Cassadine. The officers informed Luke that Helena had legal papers showing that she owned the stone, but Luke refused to give up. During this discussion, Felicia showed up at Luke's to give Roy his cell phone. Roy leads the officers to another location to look at the books while Felicia and Luke started talking. Felicia read Luke well because he was working on a plan for Cruella de Cassadine. He offered Felicia a position and then remembered that she was staying put for her two children. She worked so hard to turn Luke down and barely made it out the door because Felicia was ready to start on another adventure with Luke.

11/9  Laura came to see Luke and told him that she was having her mother and Lulu brought back to Port Charles after Thanksgiving. Lulu had a birthday party to go to after that and wondered if Luke could take her. He agreed. He apologized that he hadn't kept up with support payments. His European accounts were cleaned out. He told her he had the Ice Princess all this time. She asked him if Helena was behind it. He was told no, but there was no telling with these Civil Servants. She told him not to worry about the support payments because if things went the way she wanted he would be coming to her for money. Later, Mac came to question him about threats to Helena, the IRS and Interpol. Luke ranted and raved at him. Mac told him if he got caught this time, Felicia wouldn't be there to bail him out.

11/10  Luke was talking to someone at Interpol, using an accent and calling himself Hans von Fleet. He asked about the diamond called the Ice Princess. He wanted to know when they were returning it to Helena Cassadine. They told him that was classified information and hung up on him. He hung up in disgust to find Roy looking at him anxiously. Roy asked who he was talking to, and upon finding out it was Interpol, told Luke he knew it would come to this; he had completely lost his mind. They would have his voice on tape. Luke told him not to worry. He said justice would be served when Helena, wearing a garbage bag, was tottering down the street pushing a shopping cart with all her worldly goods in it. Seeing her penniless and destitute would make it all worthwhile. He had to steal the Ice Princess back. Roy finally agreed he would help.
Laura came as Roy and Sonny are talking, and seeing the looks on their faces, asked if Luke was in trouble. She told him she knew about the IRS and Interpol confiscating Luke's money and the Ice Princess; knew Luke would try and get the Ice Princess back; and asked Roy to make sure Luke didn't do anything too crazy. He assured her he wouldn't. She asked if either of them were going to be helping Luke. Roy just sort of shrugged. Roy got called away and Laura and Sonny discussed Deception again. They still didn't come to any agreement. She wanted an investor that wouldn't come with strings attached, like Carly. Laura left and Luke came in. He was cool towards Sonny and told him he didn't need his protection when Sonny warned him about Sorel.

11/13  Carly is hysterically looking for Michael who has wandered off from Kelly’s. Laura asks, "Is this who You are looking for?" Carly begs Laura not to tell Sonny or he may think that she was negligent. Looking puzzled and concerned, Laura tells her that this could happen to anyone. She tries to comfort Carly, but when Sonny approaches to ask what is wrong, Laura says, "Nothing, we were discussing motherhood."

11/14  Felicia visits Luke at the club to discuss getting into Helena's assests. She is practically forcing her help on Luke. Felicia wants to help be a bank inspector. Luke takes her up on the offer and then she backs down saying that she will do the research and Luke could do the field work. They banter back and forth with ideas and Luke asks her to help him with his disguise. Luke tries to get Felicia to go with him to his office but Felicia decides she should leave. Bobbie and Roy come into Luke's club. Bobbie lays into Luke about Felicia. She asks him not to break Felicia's heart.

11/16  Luke was in his office at Luke's when Scott came in. He told him to get out and if he was there to collect his padded fee for defending him to go see Alexis as she had hired him. Scott told him he was there on Laura's behalf-he's representing her in their divorce. He had papers about the property division that he wanted Luke to sign. After trading a few barbs, Luke finally signed the papers. Later he ran into Laura at Kelly's and asked if she knew what today was. "Our anniversary", she told him. "I think I will go and celebrate," she added.
Laura was at Kelly's working on Deception, when Carly saw Laura and came and thanked her again for her help with Michael. She did tell Sonny about what happened and he was understanding. Laura told her she thought he would be. Carly asked if she was working on Deception? She told Laura that Sonny really did want to invest in her company and she herself didn't have to be involved. She would talk to him. Laura told her it wasn't that she didn't want her, she just wanted to do it herself. Carly insisted she would talk to Sonny. Later, when Scott came to see her, Laura told him that she might be able to work with Carly after all. Scott still didn't like the idea of her taking Sonny's money. She asked why he came by and he finally told her about the property division papers; he got Luke to sign and gave them to her to sign.

11/17  As Carly is going through her checklist for Alexis’ bridal shower, when Laura shows up to see Sonny. Carly invites her to attend the shower. Laura tells her that she and Alexis are not really friends and have a complicated and unpleasant past. Carly informs Laura about the strained relationship that Carly also has with Alexis and that the shower is only being given at Sonny’s request. Carly tells Laura that she hasn’t had a chance to tell Sonny about her decision to not be involved as a condition of his investing. Laura asks Carly to hold off on talking to Sonny about Deception and the conditions for now. Carly agrees and reinvites laura to attend the shower. They discuss the shower again and their mututal feelings towards Alexis. They end up laughing together, then Laura leaves.
Later, Laura tells Sonny that she agrees to his terms and will work with Carly as long as all of the money invested comes from a legitimate source. Sonny is surprised at Laura’s change of heart regarding Carly but is happy with her decision and promises the money will be legit. Felicia goes back to Kelly’s to get her cell phone and runs into Luke. They joke about his cooking and then discuss the Helena caper and he runs some of his accents and characters by Felicia. As they are out at the counter laughing, a fire starts in the kitchen!

11/21  Luke and Felicia are at Kelly's discussing Luke's latest disguise, Felicia smells something but Luke thinks it is just her hair shampoo. Felicia insists that it is smoke but Luke assures her that if there was a fire the smoke alarm would go off and it does. Luke rushes into the kitchen to put out the fire as Felicia tells him to use baking soda instead of water which of course Luke doesn't listen to and throws water onto the fire making it worse. The fire company shows up. Luke is trying to get into Kelly's to see what they are doing and Felicia holds him back. Luke tells Tammy to go to bed and he will clean up the fire. Felicia comes back to help Luke with the clean-up.
Laura tells Sonny that she is ready to accept his terms for lending her the money for Deception. Laura asks Sonny for a trial period working with Carly. Sonny convinces Laura that Carly is loyal and hard working and they don't need a trial period. He also tells Laura that she and Carly are alot alike. (Laura doesn't seem to like this) Laura finally agrees to the loan on Sonny's terms. They have to leave because the Grill is closing for a private party.

11/23  Laura was looking for office space for Deception and finally found just the place with a fabulous view. She told the snooty real estate agent that she would send a deposit cheque the next day. She was standing, admiring the view, when Scott walked in. He told her it reminded him of their first apartment, no furniture. She told him furniture she could buy but not the view, it was incredible. He asked if she could afford it. She said it was a lease, she could pay it, and she had the banking for it. Scott commented that it was being bankrolled by a mobster and his unstable wife.  Laura told him she did not want to argue about it. He told her she seemed to know what she was doing. She said she didn't have a clue but it felt right. "You are in your element," he told her. "What, makeup?" she asked. "No, flying blind," he replied. He told her that her impulsiveness was her best quality and he kissed her. After they pulled apart, she told him they had remained friends all these years and she didn't want anything to ruin that. Scott agreed that friends it was. Then she told him she was going to North Carolina to bring home her mom and Leslie Lu.

11/28-11/29  Sonny and Carly head off to see Scotty and Laura to sign the papers for Deception. Scotty and Laura are waiting at the new office space Laura rented. Scotty is stilled worried that Laura is in over her head with Sonny. He wants Sonny to answer a few questions before he agrees to sell. Sony tells him that he has proof his money is legit, for Laura, but he does not have to put up with Scotty. Sonny and Scotty are ready to do battle so Carly and Laura have to step in. The women convince Scotty and Sonny to settle and make the deal. Laura gets 50% Carly gets 49% and Sonny will get 1% and be a silent partner. Carly isn't happy with the split, she wants to be a full partner.
Sonny tells her she will be if she behaves. He and Scotty leave Carly and Laura alone. Carly and Laura discuss a few ideas and get along fine until Laura tells Carly her office is across the hall. Carly"You mean the small one?"  Felicia runs into Luke at the courthouse, he is dressed like Darius Cassidine. He is trying to get all legal documents filed in Port Charles concerning the Cassidine Holdings. Felicia is nervous because Mac is just around the corner. Felicia tells Mac the office is still closed and she will just file his papers for him tomorrow. Mac wants to find out why the office is closed. Mac's phone rings again and Felicia convinces Mac to let her file the papers. She stops Luke from running into Mac by pushing him into a janitors closet. Felicia tells him about Mac.

12/1  Stefan and Chloe shock the town when they return to GH alive!  Bobbie, Tony, Alan, Monica, and Mac are all at the nurse's station as the pair get off the elevator. Alan and Monica are very happy to see Chloe, however the reception for Stefan is bitter. Bobbie is furious with him and tells him that her brother had to stand trial for his murder. Bobbie doesn't believe the "kidnapped and escape" story and calls Stefan a liar.
Chloe defends Stefan and tells everyone that Helena had them both prisoner on an island for the past three months. Bobbie isn't buying it and accuses Stefan of being behind the whole thing. Bobbie then asks Chloe if she ever once saw Helena on the island, or if Stefan merely told Chloe that Helena was behind the kidnapping. Chloe admits that she didn't actually see Helena but is adamant in her defense of Stefan against Bobbie's accusations. Chloe firmly informs everyone that Stefan was there on the island, just as she was. She demands to know why they are treating Stefan as if he did something wrong. No one says a word. As Lucky and Nikolas get off the elevator at GH, Nikolas sees Stephan. He is stunned and speechless, but manages to utter the word "Uncle?"!

12/4  Nikolas gives his Uncle a giant hug, which Stefan returns with the same intensity and tears stream down Nikolas’ cheeks. Bobbie, Lucky, Mac, Chloe, Alan, and Monica watch the encounter, each with their own thoughts regarding Stefan’s return from the dead. Lucky whispers to Bobbie, “Wait until my dad finds out!” Bobbie replies, “My thoughts exactly.”
Alexis shows up at Laura’s new office with some contracts for Laura to sign. Laura looks puzzled and Alexis tells her that she is Sonny’s attorney and the contracts are regarding his financial interests in Deception. Alexis also tells Laura that it is strange because their connection has always been Stefan. They both appear a bit melancholy at the mention of his name, since neither is yet aware that he is back. Luke and Felicia discuss the plan to pose as two Cassadine relatives in order to gain access to information regarding the possible locations of the “Ice Princess” as well as information on all of the Cassadine Family financial holdings. At first Felicia says she can’t, but Luke assures her that it is a local job and she will be home in time for dinner. On those terms Felicia agrees and Luke is very pleased.

12/5  Luke and Felicia do an impersonation of Darius and Olga, a brother and sister who are kin to the Cassidines. At one point, they are hiding as Helena tells her attorney to draw up papers to have Nicholas committed to an institution. She says that Nick is wild, out of touch, and hanging out with Gia who is not a good influence. Felicia argues with Luke that Nik must be told that Helena plans to deem him incompetent. Nikolas tells Laura that Stefan is alive. Laura says that she is glad, but that she no longer loves his uncle.

12/6  Helena discussed her plans with Andreas to have Nik committed. She realized that with Stefan dead, there was no real opponent to stop her. Just as she was gloating over her plans, Stefan walked in. He lorded his return over her head and made her aware that she had orchestrated his and Chloe's kidnapping. When she asked him why he came back, he told her that he missed her and he grabbed her in a forceful hug. Helena tenderly caressed his face and he pulled away. Helena suspected that Chloe was Stefan's new achilles heel and planned on using that to her advantage.

12/7  Laura was on the phone with an ad agency telling them she wanted to go high profile with Deception right away. She was impressed with what ideas they came up with. Carly came off the elevator to the newly renovated reception area. She went to her office and saw it newly renovated also. She went storming into Laura's office and slammed her parcels on the desk. Laura got off the phone and told her she wouldn't believe the ideas the ad agency came up with for Deception. Carly told Laura she would have to try a lot harder to get rid of her because that must be what she's trying to do. Laura just stared at her. Carly complained about her going ahead with renovations without consulting her. She asked Laura if she wanted to be called her highness.
Laura apologized, saying that she had been helping everyone but herself for so long she just thought of wanting to things on her own. She agreed to consult with Carly in the future. Carly told her she could make her own office boring if she wanted to but the reception area is the first thing people see and it should impress. Laura said she had an appointment with the ad agency and Carly said she wanted to go along. Laura agreed but just then Chloe showed up. Her and Carly hugged and Carly introduced her to Laura. She didn't go with Laura but asked to be kept informed.
Luke was in his office at Luke's working on his computer trying to find out where Helena would have stashed the Ice Princess. Felicia came in and he asked her to look at some numbers with him. He speculated that it could be in code and, if so, they better crack it quickly since Count Vlad, as he calls Stefan, was back from the dead. Felicia knocked something off the desk and bent down to pick it up. Luke bent to help her, commenting on her clumsiness, when in walked Helena. Felicia quickly hid under the desk. Helena asked Luke if he had heard of a Darius Cassadine and his sister Olga. Luke played dumb, pretending not to know what she was talking about, but she knew. They bantered back and forth and she left. She met up with Stefan on the docks and told him about Luke attacking Nikolas. Stefan didn't believe her but he asked Luke and Luke said he did. They were arguing when Laura came by. She told them their feud had nothing to do with her anymore.
