Spencer vs Cassidine #16  November 8, 1999 -  January 12, 2000 - 8 hour edit

DVD #16A  At Luke's, Bobbie and Jerry depart when Luke informs Jerry that the club is out of bourbon, Jerry's favorite drink. When Bobbie walks by the bar on the way out, Luke mentions to Roy how difficult it is to stay away from a beautiful woman.

Felicia drops by Luke's in her '40s getup. Felicia sits at the bar with Luke and Roy and tells Roy about how Luke is helping her to write Lila's memoirs. When Luke intentionally sends Roy away for a few minutes, Felicia admits that she is attracted to him, but also vows to keep her promises to her husband and children. She asks Luke if he is capable of remaining her friend even if they cannot go away on adventures together anymore. Luke agrees to be whatever it is that he can be to Felicia. They'll work together against Faison; he'll assist her with the book. To get in the spirit of things, Luke pops a swing CD in the stereo and the two dance as Roy, who has returned, watches from the bar. After the dance is over, Felicia leaves and Luke joins Roy at the bar.

Luke's has closed up for the night, and we see Luke drinking at the bar while Roy is cleaning up behind the bar. Claude gave Roy the keys to close up (Claude doesn't think Luke is in any shape to do it himself), so now Luke has tomorrow's reason to fire Claude. The two realize that nothing has changed in the past twenty years, they both still want what they can't have. Luke then asks Roy to become his partner owner of the club and Roy agrees. Roy says he'll hold his answer until Luke sobers up. Luke says he will still mean it.

Roy went to the blues club to see a hung over Luke and reminded him that he had offered to make him a partner. Luke hemmed and hawed around about it, but by the end of the conversation, they were partners. Roy joked that he was going to bring a disco ball into the club. Luke told Sonny he was taking on Roy as a partner and they officially ended their business relationship.

Stefan showed Laura the report that showed that the hairs found in the passageway were synthetic. Laura asked him why he had not told Mac yet and he said that he couldn't prove from where he'd gotten the hairs and knew Mac would think it was a set up. He also told her that he had learned there were calls made from Wyndemere both to Helena's yacht and an unknown florist. He reiterated that they must prove that Helena can move. Laura confessed that she wasn't really good with that after he had used the lighter to burn Helena. He pointed out he hadn't actually hurt her and Laura was like, "yeah, anyway."

At Wyndemere, Alexis was a hard sell when Stefan presented her with what little evidence he had that Helena is mobile. Alexis figured out that Stefan had caused Helena's condition. She surmised that Laura did not know this and suggested that it stay that way.

Tony comes to check out Helena and tells Stefan and Laura that he see no change. In the hall outside her room he tells them that Ari is still alive and Helena sits up in bed. They go downstairs and talk about her unchanged condition and Tony gives Laura a friendly warning about the Cassadines. He leaves. Helena sneaks downstairs and is caught by Stefan and Laura (who visibly jumps at the sight of Helena).

Stefan wondered at Helena's lack of "relapse" after being discovered. She said, "Why bother?" and congratulated them on their ruse about Ari. They then accused her of killing Katherine and she said that just because they had proved she could walk did not mean they could prove she committed murder. Stefan told her that she was no longer welcome in the house and accompanied her to her room. Helena asked him why she had hurried her out of the room and questioned whether he might be concerned that she would tell Laura that he poisoned her. He asked her who gave her the antidote and she said that she just had a strong will. He insisted that she must have an ally.

Tony found Laura and told her that he needed to speak with her privately. He told her that the toxicology reports revealed some changes that indicate that she was poisoned and that he was certain Stefan had done it. He warned her that despite how Stefan might be around her, he could be every bit as ruthless as his mother.

When Stefan returned, he informed Laura that Helena was gathering her things to leave. Tony told him he was speaking to Laura about family business and that he had to get going because it would be uncomfortable being on the same launch as Helena. After he left, Stefan told Laura that she seemed shaken and asked if there was a problem. She told Stefan what Tony had suggested. Stefan not only managed to punt the question by getting her to admit that no actual poison was found, just evidence that suggested it might have been there, but also worked in that Helena would probably blame him for her condition as well. Laura continued to prod, saying that she wanted to believe he would never lie to her. She bluntly asked him, whereupon he promptly lied right in her face and said he didn't do it.

Felicia burst into Luke's office looking for him. The chair turned and Faison was in it. He said that he was really the one she needed to see. He started terrorizing her, saying that he would teach her to love him and that the incident with Anna had been a big mistake. Luke came in and Faison took Felicia hostage at knife point. After he terrorized her and Luke for a while, he kissed her right on the mouth, then threw her down (it was most menacing). He said, "This is just to show you that I can get to you any time I want and there is nothing Spencer can do about it."

He left and Luke and Felicia took advantage of the trauma to have another hug. Luke said he should have killed Faison when he had the chance. Felicia told him that he had all but admitted to killing Anna. Luke said they had to call Mac and get some protection for Felicia. She refused, saying that was exactly what Faison wanted, that he was playing head games. Luke pointed out that the knife was no longer head games. She begged Luke to help her.

Faison visited Helena as she was packing. He told her he had come to end their partnership. She said it had never been a partnership, that he was an employee. He said that this employee wasgiving notice and would be retaining their hostage, that he had taken on a unique value. He told her he had moved Lucky to a place where she would not find him. She reached up and choked him a good one and told him to make no mistake, he would see her again.

On the docks, Helena runs into Mac who comments, somewhat sarcastically, on how well she is looking. He says that they might be seeing a lot of each other now since she has become the number one suspect in the murder of Katherine Bell. Helena feigns confusion at Mac's announcement that she is a suspect. She thought that Stefan had already confessed. Mac tells her that Stefan is planning to recant his confession. Helena asks if giving a false confession is a crime. Mac says that with any luck she and Stefan will both be in prison. Helena is not amused by Mac's comment, but takes it in stride. She reminds Mac that she was incapacitated at the time of Katherine's death. Mac says that he intends to make sure that that is true. Mac tells Helena that he has alerted the harbor patrol. She shouldn't plan on leaving town any time soon. As Mac walks away, Helena calls after him to keep up the good work.

At Jax's, Stefan informs Alexis that Helena has recovered. He has sent her away from Wyndemere and informed Mac. Helena killed Katherine and framed Laura. Alexis correctly assumes that Stefan wants to recant his confession and says that she will take care of it right away. Jax comments that it is nothing short of miraculous that Helena has recovered so completely.

On the docks, Stefan comes across Helena who is staring at Wyndemere. Helena tells Stefan that he must have gone running straight to Mac. Stefan says that he had a duty to give Mac the new evidence. Stefan tells Helena to enjoy the night air while she can. Helena tells Stefan to be careful going home. Once Stefan is gone, Helena pulls out her cell phone. She tells the person on the other end of the line that she will be unable to travel to Greece as planned. She also tells the person to destroy the documents and anyone who knows about them.

In his office, Luke told Felicia that Faison had disappeared. She expressed concerned that he had gone to Faison's office. Luke told her that the office was cleaned out and Faison was, "Gone…off the radar, Baby." He also said that he liked it better when Faison was in their faces. Felicia was upset about Faison knowing their secrets and said that secrets were how he had driven a wedge between Anna and Robert. She fretted over whether or not to tell Mac everything. Luke hurriedly asked her how much she would tell and said that he was all in favor of having guards around her, but coming completely clean was not a good idea. She reminded him that Faison would be coming after him for the $5 million in diamonds and this time he wouldn't see him coming. Luke responded, "The hell I won't."

Felicia arrived and Roy showed up, asking Luke how worried he was about Bobbie marrying Jerry. Luke replied, "Don't get me started." This led them into a discussion about his marriage to Laura. Roy asked him what he ever did with Scotty Baldwin and Luke told him that he didn't do anything and added that perhaps Scott didn't feel that way. Roy asked if maybe Scott thought Luke had stolen his wife and Luke agreed, "Maybe." Later, Felicia and Mac kissed warmly as Luke looked on.

A person who looked like a real estate agent showed Faison a steel and glass building and described its security features. He agreed that it was fine, but said it needed to be elegant, luxurious, a place you'd never want to leave.

Bobbie was looking at the newspaper headline, "FBI Carries Out Organized Crime Bust" and had a flashback to the night Roy was shot twenty years ago.  Laura came in and looked at the paper. Seeing the date made her remember that was the anniversary of her wedding to Luke. She wondered how she didn't see the date coming and Bobbie wondered if maybe she hadn't wanted to see it coming. Laura flashed back on her wedding to Luke and made me cry. She told Bobbie that she couldn't believe she and Luke hadn't been able to work things out. They talked about once-in-a-lifetime loves and wondered if they always burned out. She left and ran into Luke outside Kelly's. He said, "Happy Anniversary, Angel" and they hugged and I cried some more. He pulled a toy out of his pocket and said Lulu and left it. Laura said Lulu had been looking for it and then left.

Stefan sat in his office remembering Helena asking why he had hurried her away from Laura. Then he remembered Laura asking him to tell her the truth about poisoning Helena and him assuring her he had not. He called Nikolas and left a message that he needed to see him. Later, Nikolas arrived and reprimanded Stefan for doing things, 'for his own good'. Stefan assured him that he only wanted to inform him that Helena was cured and that the police would be wanting to question him about Katherine again. Stefan asked him if he understood how much he loved him and his mother and that he would do anything to keep them from harm.

Alexis arrived and insisted that they get their stories straight. Nikolas agreed to testify that Katherine had seduced him under Helena's orders and that when Helena heard Katherine's plan to trick him into marrying her, acted on her protectiveness of him and killed her. Before he left, Nikolas told Stefan that the answer to his question was yes, he did know. Alexis questioned Stefan on this and he told her it was between father and son. She asked if he knew Stefan had poisoned Helena. Stefan scoffed and said Nikolas knew nothing of Alexis' 'ridiculous speculations'. Alexis said this was good and that she wouldn't breathe a word, being a Cassadine, after all.

Nikolas came to see Stefan and apologized to Stefan for how obnoxious he'd been since Katherine's death and said he just hadn't wanted to admit how relieved he was that he had his life back. He asked if Helena would be going to prison and Stefan replied, "I hope so." Nikolas then commented on how free their life would then be. After breakfast, Nikolas told Stefan how much he enjoyed a life where he did not have to give speeches and be a prince.

Alexis came to Wyndemere looking solemn. Stefan greeted her by asking if Helena had been arrested. She showed him the enveloped and told him that she had found Mikkos' will and that she was acknowledged as a Cassadine. He asked if she would be making a bid for her inheritance. She told him that she loved him, that they had been best friends, enemies and brother and sister and that no matter what, she loved him. She gave him the envelope, told him she was sorry and he read the contents.

The truth of Nikolas's parentage is revealed, Stefan isn't his father after all. Stavros was. The ruse was created when Nik was an infant and Stefan requested a blood test. A clever Helena arranged for Dr. Listerius (whom we saw murdered last year) to pass on the wrong results to Stefan, leading Stefan to believe he was Nik's father. Helena did this to ensure that Stefan would cherish Nik rather than seek to destroy him. Believing that Nik was his biological son would make Stefan a vigilant "uncle" rather than a typical Cassadine "back-stabbing" uncle.  Helena guaranteed that Nik would live to be the Cassadine prince.

Alexis tells Stefan that Nikolas is not his son. Stefan blasted Alexis, saying that the papers she had shown him regarding Nikolas' paternity were a fake, a forgery. He insisted that she take them and leave. She told him that she could not do that because the papers were the real thing. He continued to claim that they must be forged until she laid out her idea of how Helena must have bribed Dr. Lastirus to tell Stefan he was Nikolas' father so that he would love and take care of Nikolas rather than resent him. Alexis cautioned Stefan that Helena would use this information to hurt him and he should be prepared for that.

Stefan challenged her, asking if she knew how easily the information could be disproved and if she wanted to recant anything she had said. She said no, that it was the truth. He asked her who else knew about the document and she told him 'no one'. He asked her to swear it would stay that way and she asked if that included Nikolas. He said, "Especially Nikolas." He told her that when Nikolas had learned he was no longer a prince it was as if a heavy burden had been lifted from his shoulders and he would not take that freedom away from him. She insisted that he needed to know and encouraged him to "tell him." He told her this need not be discussed further and she left. Stefan absorbed the full impact of what he had learned, hobbled to his desk and wept bitterly. Looking at his hand, he took the family ring and hurled it into the fireplace, then continued to sob.

Mac tells Helena that if she can't come up with another suspect he's going to charge her in Katharine's murder. She claims that the nurse was reading her a book the whole time and Mac says that the nurse denies that and the nurse says she was out of the room at the time of Katharine's fall. Helena wants to jog the nurse's memory, but Mac just tells her to get a lawyer.

Felicia and Bobbie are decorating for the wedding and Luke comes over to see if he can help. He goads Bobbie about Roy and then leaves to take care of Kelly's. Roy comes in to Kelly's and Luke tells him he's running out of time. Felicia comes in to see if Luke is okay running Kelly’s on his own while Bobbie is getting ready for her wedding. Luke is having some problems with the oven and almost blowing up the place so the customers get scared and leave. Jason comes along and asks if Felicia and Luke are okay as smoke pours out of Kelly’s.

Luke arrives at the Brownstone but can't bring himself to go in. As he paces outside Laura comes along and asks Luke if he has a minute to talk to her. Laura explains that she has gradually come to accept the way things are. She knows that they have talked about it before, but they never got around to the logistics of it. She guesses it's time now and tells him that she wants a divorce. Luke sarcastically says that there is just something about a wedding that just brings the word divorce to mind. Laura says that if anyone had told her on her wedding day that she would some day be getting a divorce, she would not have believed them. Luke points out that there were many people who thought that their marriage would never last but for almost two decades, all of those people were wrong. They had a strong marriage.

Laura tearfully agrees that they had a wonderful marriage. She asks Luke to please continue to spend time with Lulu. She will do everything she can to make sure that Lulu is available. Luke says that will always make time for his daughter. They agree that Laura will take care of the paperwork and Luke tells Laura that she can have anything she wants. Laura thanks Luke for making this easy. Luke sadly tells her that this was not easy. Laura smiles through her tears and says that she was just talking about today. Laura tells Luke to give Bobbie her best and then blows Luke a kiss before she turns and walks away. After she goes, Luke is clearly trying to hold back his tears.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas arrives to visit Stefan, but comes upon Helena instead. Helena is delighted to see Nikolas, but Nikolas does not return the sentiment. Helena tells Nikolas that he is the hope of the family and her pride and joy. She has so much to tell him. Stefan arrives and says that Helena has nothing to say that Nikolas wants to hear. Stefan suggests that Nikolas come back another time. As Nikolas goes, Helena wishes him well. Once he is gone, Helena tells

Stefan to enjoy his relationship with Nikolas now because everything will change once Nikolas learns that Stefan is not his father. Stefan tells Helena that her convalescence has taken it's toll She has obviously lost her gift for inventing even marginally credible lies.

Helena asks Stefan if he really thought that she would allow Stefan to raise his own son as the Cassadine heir. He was so foolish to trust Dr. Lastiris. Nikolas' conception was a triumph of the great over the weak. She had to secure her grandson's future and she had to protect him from Stefan. So she ordered Dr. Lasitiris to falsify the paternity test proving that Stefan was Nikolas' father. Stefan accuses Helena of lying, but Helena dares him to prove it. When she tells Nikolas the truth, he won't believe her, but he will want proof. Helena asks Stefan what he will say when Stavros' son asks him to take a paternity test. Helena offers to keep quiet if Stefan agrees to pay her off and take the rap for Katherine's murder, and make it very clear that she was not involved. Before Stefan can respond, Laura arrives.

Nikolas comes across Alexis on the docks. He tells her not to bother going to Wyndemere since Helena is there. Alexis tells Nikolas that she has to talk to him. Nikolas is reluctant because, as he reminds Alexis, whenever they have something to discuss, it is usually bad news. It's no one's fault, it is just the Cassadine curse. Alexis tells him that unfortunately, that hasn't changed. Nikolas asks if they can do this another time. He really isn't up to it right now. Nikolas starts to say that one of the best things about not being the Prince. Alexis interrupts him by blurting out to Nikolas that he IS the Prince. Nikolas is stunned into silence by Alexis' revelation. She apologizes for being so blunt, then hands him the documents she is holding and explains that they are the real paternity test which proves that Stavros is Nikolas' father.

Luke is sitting on the steps of the Brownstone when Felicia comes outside looking for him. She notices that he looks upset and asks if the wedding is really bothering him that much. Luke suggests that he and Felicia go somewhere far away, but Felicia just laughs, thinking he is kidding. She tells him that when he sees Bobbie, he will feel better. Felicia convinces Luke to come inside and help her set up chairs. It is just what he needs to take his mind off of his troubles. Luke can't so no to Felicia and he follows her inside teasing that she owes him a big favor after this. Meanwhile, Faison is lurking in the bushes watching everything they do.

Nikolas asks Alexis if he is supposed to be grateful. He accuses her of lying saying that if she really thought that the document was authentic, she would have taken it straight to Stefan. Alexis tells Nikolas that she did take it to Stefan yesterday. She apologizes for not doing this very well, but says that Stefan was adamant that Nikolas not know the truth. Nikolas tells Alexis that he will deal with it and asks her to please leave him alone.

Stefan dismisses Helena's presence telling Laura that Helena was just being her usual unpleasant self. Helena leaves telling Stefan to call her. It would not be wise to wait too long. Once she is gone, Stefan tells Laura that Helena will do anything to avoid a murder trial. She is under the deluded impression that Stefan will help her to protect the family name. Laura asks Stefan why he would do that. Instead of answering, Stefan angrily sweeps everything off his desk.

Laura is shocked and asks what Helena said to him. She begs Stefan to please tell her what happened. She can't help him if he doesn't tell her. Stefan stands up and walks over to Laura. He cups her face in his hands and tells her that he was only half alive until the moment that he saw her in the garden. Until she came into his life. He has dreamt only of her and their son. He can't lose her. He can't let her slip away. Laura assures Stefan that she isn't going to slip away. She asks Stefan if he knows how much she loves him. Stefan tells Laura that that is the first time she has said that. Laura asks him to forgive her. She should have said it sooner. She loves him and nothing is going to change that.

Luke arrives to talk to Bobbie. He tells her that she is the most beautiful bride he has ever seen. She is simply glowing. Bobbie laughs and gives Luke a hug. She tells Luke that she loves him. Luke responds by saying that the Governor didn't call. He asks if she is ready to face the music. Bobbie thanks Luke for always knowing what she needs.

Laura and Stefan are in a candelit bedroom. They kneel facing each other on the bed and start to kiss. Stefan pulls back and looks at Laura lovingly. He tells her that he has dreamed of this for years. Laura smiles and tells him that it isn't a dream anymore. She lays back on the bed, pulling Stefan with her. They make love. Meanwhile, a distraught Nikolas arrives at Wyndemere looking for his father. He tells Mrs. Lansbury that he needs to see Stefan NOW.

Laura and Stefan are cuddling in bed. Laura never thought her life would feel right again, but she's happy here. They tell each other they love each other. Nik is pacing downstairs looking for Stefan. Laura comes downstairs. Nik says Stefan isn't his father. Laura looks shocked and asks if Helena told him this lie. Nik says that it was Alexis who told him. Stefan enters the room and asks, "Alexis told you?" He looks surprised and is very cold.

Bobbie walks down the aisle looking so happy, stopping to smile at Luke and Lucas, and joins Jerry at the altar. As the minister is about to begin the ceremony, FBI agents storm into the Brownstone and inform Jerry that he is under arrest on the charge of money laundering and is taken away insisting he's innocent. Luke comforts Bobbie while Roy watches from the sidelines looking helpless. Felicia asks Luke for a ride home. Luke points out that Spencers like to lick their wounds in private.

Nik and Stefan go around and around, it all comes down to Stefan didn't tell him because he was protecting Nik and Nik is sick of being protected. Laura defends Stefan, pointing out that Stefan has devoted his life to Nik. Laura points out that in her heart Stefan is Nik's father. Nik tells Laura that love doesn't justify lies, and Laura of all people should know that. Nik storms off. Stefan is surprised that she stays by his side. She understands why he did it, and loves him no matter what. Laura asks Stefan if he'll take a DNA test? He says of course, Nik needs to know for sure. The results won't change how he feels about Nik. Laura shares that she always wanted Nik to be his.

Felicia invites Luke in after he gave her a ride home. She offers him a snack, which he accepts, but the phone is ringing. They start to ignore it, but when the machine picks up, it's Maxie. Luke looks saddened by the realization that he can't ask her to give up her family. He ends up leaving as soon as she gets off of the phone. They have an awkward moment at the door, like they're not sure whether to kiss or not. They don't and he leaves. Later, Felicia comes downstairs in her pajamas telling Mac he didn't need to sneak in, she was waiting up for him. Faison grabs her.

Felicia is kidnapped by Faison. He takes her to the holding room. When she awakes from the drug that he used to knock her out, she finds herself dressed in white lingerie in an unknown place. After Faison makes his presence known, they spar. He plays a message of her voice telling Mac that she is going out of town to talk to an old colleague of Edward’s. Conveniently, the destination is a victim of static. He corners her on the bed and straps her down with fur-lined handcuffs and the promise that she will invite him to her bed.

Luke and Sonny meet. Sonny admits that he knew about Jerry. Luke is angry. Sonny says he couldn’t tell Luke because he had given his word. They start to get into a pushing match but are separated by Jason and Roy. Sonny and Jason leave. Luke tells Roy about his past with Sonny. Luke leaves to go to the bar.

Felicia and Faison are in the white bedroom. Felicia insists that Luke and Mac will come looking for her. Faison unlocks her handcuffs and Felicia hits him in the mouth and tries to escape. The door is locked and she begins to cry. Faison goes to kiss her, but she pushes him violently away, and he tells her he will wait for her invitation. He reattaches her handcuffs and assures her that she will come around to his way of thinking and that "she will enjoy it". She calls him a freak, but he just smiles and leaves the room. He returns with a breakfast tray, explaining that he wants her to keep up her strength. She knocks the plate from his hand, but he remains calm. He plays another tape for her, this one is her voice explaining that she is in the Caribbean. He says again that she must trust him, and that she will learn to love him. He leaves the room, and once more she begins to cry.

Bobbie sees Luke in the hallway of the prison where Jerry is being held, and collapses in his arms, sobbing. Later, Luke was at the club drinking when the phone rang. It was LuLu calling to with him a Happy Thanksgiving. He continued drinking, noticed the light blinking on his answering machine and listened to the fake message from Felicia then listened to it again. He remembered his adventures with Felicia, interlaced with scenes of them swing dancing. He ended by thinking of their kiss in Mexico. Later, Laura arrived at the club with LuLu to tell Luke Happy Thanksgiving in person. Luke was not there, so they left a note for him. We then saw Luke on the docks, looking out toward Wyndemere.

Laura called Mrs. Lansbury to tell her she'd be late. She remembered the bad times with Luke, from the time he found out about her affair with Stefan (at the trial) until the present. She remembered the good times with Stefan and smiled.

Fasion is trying to get Felicia to fall in love with him but she is of course refusing to cooperate. Luke and Roy are at the Kelly's and talking about Bobbie when she walks up and overhears them. Luke is supposed to work at Kelly's and ends up burning all the food and turns all the customers away. As Luke leaves, Bobbie asks if he heard from Felicia over the holiday and he is now worried because she has not either. He places a call to Mac.

Stefan and Laura have a fight with Helena and then Mac comes in. Stefan has a enevelope that has pictures of Helena on the parapet and Kathryn is standing there and Laura has already left. Helena tries to say anything she can to no avail as Mac ends up arresting her for the murder. As she is leaving, she tells Laura that she will sleep with any murderer. During Helana's tirade, she says that Stefan poised her. You see Laura get this look on her face. After Mac takes Helena away, Laura goes to leave and Stefan thinks everything is alright and then Laura says, "I just remember who you really are". She says that she may not like Helena but would not do anything illegal to get rid of her. Then she leaves.

Mac found Luke and the two compared notes on Felicia's disappearance. He told Luke he'd been in Texas with the girls when Felicia had called and had missed it. They both agreed that it was odd she hadn't called on Thanksgiving and Luke brought up that Faison was also missing. Mac ordered an APB on Faison and Felicia and told Luke to be sure and contact him immediately if he heard from Felicia. Faison tried to feed Felicia again and this time she took a bite. He asked if she approved and she dug in like a fiend. He was all dressed up and looking pretty dandy. He told her that roast duck was "her" favorite. Felicia asked if he was referring to Anna and he said no, but she had liked it as well. He told her he was referring to the first woman he had ever loved and killed.

He went on to explain that he had been a military officer in a laboratory where she had worked as a scientist. His job was to seal off the area if there was ever an accident. Sure enough, one day the alarm went off and he did what he had to do, totally sealed the area to prevent further contamination. Too late he saw that he had sealed her into the area. He said she was begging for him to open the door and telling him that she loved him. He couldn't open the door to help her or the contaminants would escape. She died in front of him. He said the lab was never reopened and was now buried under cement. He told her he had given up on military life and become an anarchist after that. Felicia said she was sorry it had happened. Faison's cell phone rang and someone told him that Mac was looking for him. After the call, Felicia told Faison that if Mac was looking for her, he'd find her. Faison assured her that he could be untraceable at any time.

At the hospital, it's Bobbie's first day back to work after the wedding disaster. Luke has brought her to work, and she thanks him for being there for her, for being her protector, and for managing to refrain from saying "I told you so". Luke assures her that she is strong and will be over the upset in a few days.  Laura comes by the desk and tells Bobbie that she heard about the wedding, is sorry and that if there is anything Laura can do for her she shouldn't hesitate to ask. Bobbie drifts away and Luke and Laura spend a few minutes chatting about the ice fishing trip he took with Lulu. Laura exits and Bobbie returns, remarking that ice fishing with Lulu must have been cute. Luke agrees that it was, and invites Bobbie along the next time. Luke then leaves to go to his club and check for messages.

A bit later, Laura returns and bumps into Bobbie. Laura asks if it is Bobbie's first day back to work. Bobbie admits that it is, and Laura says that she thinks Bobbie may be rushing things a bit, that it is important for Bobbie to take some time until she feels better. Bobbie explains that the problem isn't that Jerry was arrested, it's that he lied to her and that she had no idea. It was like she didn't really know him at all. Stefan gets off the elevator, and he and Laura exchange long looks.

Stefan explains to Laura that he's not proud of what he did, but that there were reasons. Laura asks why he had to lie to her, she'd begged him to tell her the truth and he didn't give her the opportunity to accept or reject his plan. Stefan explains that he did it because he was afraid of losing her love, and points out that Laura has done some similar things in her past. Laura agrees that she has done some things like that, but that she'd paid dearly for them. She needs some time away from him. Stefan agrees to it, but states that his feelings for Laura will never change.

At Faison's hideaway, Felicia is sitting on the bed when Faisan arrives with her breakfast tray. He thanks her for a lovely evening, for listening to his story, and says that she is the only one who knows his history, but that this is necessary if they are to be together, she'll need to know everything, to accept him with his flaws and his past. Felicia begins to take a bite of the blueberry pancakes, then pauses. Faison asks if she would like him to take a bite first, but she announces that she trusts him. He notices then that he forgot her tea, and goes to get it. Felicia gazes after him thoughtfully.

Later, when he returns, he has a gift for her. It's a photo of her children, which at first is pleasing to her until it dawns on her that it's a recent photo apparently taken in Texas where the children are staying. She demands to know how he got the photo, and he explains that he sent someone to take the picture. Felicia is livid, shouting that if he ever gets near her children again she will rip his heart out. Faison begins to be angry, too, explaining that he was only trying to please her, but that obviously there has been a setback in their relationship. He then gathers himself and pronounces that she needs some time alone, and leaves the room. Felicia begins to cry, clutching the picture.

In Mac's office, Luke arrives asking why Mac wants to see him. Mac demands to know what Luke and Felicia were doing in Mexico. Mac tells Luke that he tailed Faison to El Paso. He lost him at the border, but he asked the local authorities to send him arrest records just in case. He never looked at the arrest sheets until this morning. Faison was smart enough to keep his nose out of trouble, but Hiram and Orphey Goodlove were not. They were arrested for a myriad of offenses and it was noted that they tried to bribe the guard with a five carat diamond. He demands to know how Luke got his hands on a diamond like that.

Luke feigns innocence to Mac and asks where he would get that kind of diamond. Mac tells Luke that he thinks that Luke is helping Faison import the stolen diamonds. He is furious that Luke has put Felicia in danger. While they are arguing, a handcuffed Helena arrives. Mac tells Luke that they aren't finished. As Luke leaves, Helena asks if he was there to confess to killing Katherine Bell not once, but twice.

Stefan finds Nikolas at the hospital and asks if he is ready. Nikolas says that he is. They are preparing to take the paternity test. Nikolas is very nervous about the results of the paternity test. He tells Stefan that, no matter what, Stefan will always be his father. Laura arrives and greets them both with a reassuring hug. The doctor arrives to tell Nikolas and Stefan that he is ready to do the test. Stefan sends Nikolas ahead and stays behind to thank Laura for being there.

Mac angrily tells Helena that he will convict her. Helena assures Mac that she will be free soon unless Mac plans to frame her. His evidence will be thrown out Helena is quite confident.

Laura arrives at Kelly's to meet her mother. Leslie is sorry that Laura has to be reminded of the whole Starvros era once again. Laura says that they have all pretty much accepted it now. Leslie asks Laura what is going on with her and Stefan.

Luke is in his office when Bobbie arrives. She tells him that she has had quite a day. She just can't tell him about it. Luke asks if she heard from Felicia. Bobbie says that she hasn't. Then Luke replays the message Felicia supposedly left for him. Bobbie doesn't think that it sounds odd, but Luke says that he is sure that Felicia did not leave the message.

At his club, Luke tells Bobbie that Faison set up the voice mail message from Felicia. When Bobbie expresses doubts, Luke insists that this is part of Faison's master plan to make Felicia love him. He then tells his sister about the time that Faison put a knife to Felicia's throat. Bobbie urges Luke to work with Mac, but Luke is afraid that the police might hinder his ability to effectively locate his friend. Just as Bobbie suggests that Luke get outside help, Roy walks through the door.

Bobbie heads off so that Luke and Roy can plan their attempt to rescue Felicia. However, once they are alone, Luke gives Roy instructions about how to run the club in his absence. The two banter sarcastically until Luke agrees to let Roy assist him. Once they begin to get serious, Luke tells Roy that the first plan is to break into the phone company and trace Faison's telephone records.

In the secret hideaway, Felicia is looking at the picture of her daughters when Faison enters the room. He professes his love for her and vows to find a way to prove it to her. He then opens the door and says that she is free to go if she so chooses. Felicia, however, decides to stay.

Luke and Roy were trying out dorky disguises to get past the secretary at the phone company. Luke felt that if he could access the numbers that Faison called from his office at the warehouse, he might be able to come up with the person he was going to sell the diamonds to. Roy learned a lot about computers while in prison, so the plan was that Luke would divert and schmooze the person behind the computer while Roy, on some ruse, would access the computer and get the information.

Luke and Roy found Sandra, the secretary and she was resistant to them checking out her computer. She insisted on calling the computer department for verification, but couldn't get through. Luke was able to distract her by talking about the African Violet on the desk and bluffing some indoor gardening tips to her. Meanwhile, Roy got the necessary information. Back at Luke's office, Roy and Luke noticed that there weren't many calls from Faison's office, but Luke hoped one would be the one he needed. He was hoping that if he called the person to whom Faison was going to sell the diamonds, that he would be able to get with Faison. Roy told him to call if he needed any help and left.

Dara met with Laura and Stefan and told them that Helena had accused them of poisoning her. Helena then came in and made the allegation that Laura had lured her to her office and Stefan had somehow poisoned her. After Helena was taken away, Dara told Laura and Stefan to clear with her if they had to leave town for anything. Laura mentioned that Stefan had not called Helena's bluff, that she was sure Helena had expected him to confess to poisoning her to protect Laura. He promised her that this situation would not affect her or LuLu. She scoffed at what he said and left, with Stefan looking pained.

At the hideaway, Felicia, wearing a ball gown, vows to get out today. Faison enters, looking elegant as usual. He has a tape with him, and begins to play a waltz. Felicia hesitates, she is afraid, but then they begin to dance.

At the hospital, Nikolas arrives and he and Laura hug in greeting. They are there to get the results of the DNA test that will prove his parentage once and for all. The results aren't in yet, but Nikolas says that they don't matter. Laura agrees, and says that in Stefan's heart Nikolas is his son, and that Stefan loves them both. Enter Stefan, with Helena right on his heels. She exchanges barbs with Stefan, and informs Nikolas that she will be charging Stefan and Laura with assault and attempted murder. Tony arrives with the test results, and Helena, after a couple deliciously snide remarks, departs. The test results prove conclusively that Nikolas is not Stefan's son, and as a tear slides down Nikolas' cheek, Tony turns to leave.

Dara is there and wants to know about Helena's toxicology report. She informs Tony that he may need to testify in court as to the results, and Tony states that, while he won't swear to it in court, in his opinion Helena was poisoned. He and Dara leave. Nikolas says that poisoning is a classic Cassadine maneuver, and Laura tells him that he has the chance, as prince, to change all that.

Luke and Roy are at the office of billionaire Leon Goodson. Luke, with a phony Swiss accent, is showing Goodson Faison's diamonds, and while he spins a tale about how he acquired them and how certainly he has the papers for them, Roy plants a bug under the phone. When Luke and Roy leave, ostensibly to retrieve the rest of the diamonds, they overhear Goodson call Faison and report that they have tried to sell him Faison's diamonds. Luke hears the waltz playing and hears Felicia's voice in the background, but Roy steadies him by reminding him that the important thing is that Faison took the bait.

DVD #16B  Later, Luke and Roy return to Goodson's office and show him the rest of the diamonds, in with which they have hidden a tracking device. Goodson leaves to "get the cash" and Luke and Roy position themselves behind the doors. Faison enters with gun drawn, but Roy comes up behind him and takes it away from him. Luke takes the gun and demands to know where Felicia is, but Faison only smiles and gives him videotape. Luke makes Faison play the tape, which shows Felicia in the big white bed. Faison comments that she loves to waltz, and Luke goes for his throat, but Faison informs Luke that his staff will kill her if he's not back in two hours. Luke releases Faison, who gathers his diamonds and leaves, telling Luke he can keep the tape. After he has gone, Roy remarks that "we should have killed him when we had the chance". Luke takes the tape and goes to the surveillance van to check for a signal.

Back in the hideaway, Felicia clutches the photo of her girls and cries, then wrapping a cloth around the picture, breaks the glass. She takes the biggest shard, wraps part of it in a tissue and holds it like a knife.

Felicia is in her prison staring at her makeshift knife when Faison arrives. She quickly hides the piece of glass behind her back and greets Faison warmly. She tells him that she hasn't been able to get their dance out of her head. She asks him to dance with her and Faison readily agrees. She begins to dance with him, holding the knife behind his back. She brings the knife up to his neck and thanks him for the dance, but says that she has to be leaving now. Faison replies that she isn't going anywhere. Felicia says that she is leaving today. She pretends to wipe the glass clean as her little fantasy ends.

Faison arrives at Felicia's prison for real this time. Felicia tries to coax him into a dance, but he is a little preoccupied with his diamonds. He is looking at each one carefully and ignoring everything Felicia is saying. Before Felicia has a chance to threaten Faison with the knife, he discovers the tracking device. He rushes out of the room leaving Felicia in tears.

Luke and Roy are attempting to follow Faison using the tracking device. They talk together about how easily Faison took the bait. As Luke watches the screen of the tracking device he says, "c'mon Faison, lead us to Felicia".  Luke and Roy notice that the tracking device is on the move again and frantically rush to keep up. As Luke and Roy try to keep up, Felicia tearfully hopes to herself that Luke will be okay and begs him to find her.

Luke and Roy have arrived at the point where the tracking signal stopped. They get out of the car and cautiously look around. All they can find is a homeless person asleep in the snow. They search his pockets and find nothing and then finally discover the tracking device in his bottle of whiskey. They are very frustrated when they realize that Faison has once again gotten the best of them. Luke and Roy discuss what went wrong. They are sure that Faison didn't know

about the tracking device at first. They deduce that Faison must have discovered the device and that Felicia must be near where they stopped the first time. She could be near where they stopped the first time, or they could be gone. Luke says that they have to find her.  Faison comes back to Felicia to inform her that Luke has been taken care of. Now they can dance in peace forever. As she starts to cry, Faison asks her to dance with him. He is sure that that will make her feel better. Felicia agrees and starts to dance, holding the piece of glass behind Faison's neck just like in her fantasy. She pulls the glass up to Faison's throat and thanks him for the dance. Unfortunately, she really must be leaving now.

Roy and Luke enter Luke's club to plot their plan for finding Felicia. Roy is hesitant to break into buildings and encourages Luke to cooperate with the police, but Luke claims that the police slow him down. Luke then tells Roy the plans for finding Ms. Scorpio and they agree to meet in three hours to discuss their progress.  Luke bribes a man to provide a bit of information about Faison's spending habits. He manages to locate the boutique where Faison purchased Felicia's elegant wardrobe.

At the hospital, Nikolas goes to visit his mother. Laura is concerned that the anniversary of Stavros' death might be difficult for Nikolas, which is obviously is. Nikolas inquires about Stavros' behaviors, asking he if resembles his father in any manner. Laura assures him that he does not and reminds her son that he has the ability to change the Cassadine legacy, that he can turn the family into a loving and caring body.

In the secret hideaway, Felicia threatens to slit Faison's throat with the piece of glass if he will not release her. Faison taunts her and urges her to kill him, but Felicia cannot follow through. Instead, she kicks him and tries to run out of the room, but Faison catches her and locks her up again. He tells his captive that she will stay with him as long as he likes.

Back at his club, Luke shows Roy a videotape that he found at the boutique. The tape was obviously left by Faison and shows Felicia in the hideaway. Luke deduces that Faison meant for him to find the video and argues that Faison has set up an intricate procedure that Luke must follow if he ever wishes to find Felicia.

Roy and Luke discussed how they could possibly use the info of where the nightgown was purchased to find Felicia. Luke hoped that if he could access the computer in the store, he might be able to find a billing address or at least some kind of information. He admitted that it was a long shot, but was better than no shot at all. Luke went into the store and pretended that he wanted to purchase the same gown and asked that the clerk wrap it as a gift. While she was in the back, he looked at the computer screen and hastily jotted down some information.

Faison came in to bring Felicia her breakfast and she was still restrained and had a pretty bad attitude. He told her that she was not being restrained to prevent escape, but as a punishment for her bad behavior and to make her appreciate her freedom. He fed her a few bites of whatever food he brought her and then showed her the beautiful array of gowns he had purchased for her to wear. He selected one and gave it to her to put on after removing her cuffs. He turned to leave and she asked what they would do next. He said that was entirely up to her and left. She threw the dress at the door.

Stefan and Alexis waited in Mac's office after he and Dara summoned Alexis, Stefan and Laura to appear. Mac entered and was called out immediately on urgent business. Dara and shortly after, Helena entered and Dara explained to them that the blood tests she had subpoenaed had been inconclusive and that due to lack of evidence, the case against Stefan and Laura was being closed. Helena expressed her anger at not finding justice and said it distressed her that when she came to the DA for help, they were turning their back on her. Dara assured her that they were giving her plenty of attention and felt that they had enough evidence to get a conviction against her for the murder of Katherine Bell.

Helena left and Stefan questioned the strength of her case against Helena. She told him that Mac seemed to feel there was sufficient evidence, but that nothing was ever a sure thing. She said that she knew, for example, that he had poisoned Helena, but didn't have enough evidence to prove it. She told Laura and Stefan that they would need to be available to testify at the trial and left. Laura asked Stefan if that was it, if they were free to go (evidently she hadn't been paying attention). She told Stefan that she loved him, but that there were things about him that scared her and she wasn't sure what to do about it.

Luke stormed into the room where Felicia had been held. It was empty, but still white and fluffy. The dresses and gowns were still in the closet and the furry restraints were in place. He called for her and began to search the room. As he was checking the mattress for clues, Mac yelled, "Freeze" and pulled a gun on him. He demanded to know all that Luke knew about Faison and Felicia and Luke tried to tell him he didn't know anything. Mac called in a SWAT team to search all the buildings in the area. He then ordered Taggert to arrest Luke for tampering with a crime scene.

At the jail, Taggert and Mac watch as Luke sleeps. Taggert leaves to call Interpol, and Mac gives the cot a kick, waking Luke. Luke immediately asks if Mac has found Felicia, but Mac replies that he thinks Felicia is just a pawn in Luke's plan to get to Faison. Mac starts to get rough with Luke, demanding to know where Felicia is, but Luke appears now to be more interested in coffee. Mac settles down a little, asking Luke again where Faison and Felicia are, but Luke replies that with a 24 hour lead, they could be anywhere. Luke wants Mac to let him out so he can continue to search for Felicia, and Mac begins to consider it, but when Luke insists that while he's willing to give Mac information, he works strictly alone, Mac decides against the plan. Luke tells Mac that when Faison was stalking Felicia, she didn't tell Mac because she was protecting him, "Is this what it's going to get her?". Mac and Luke exchange long looks, and Mac releases him.

At Luke's club, Roy is still there doing the books when Luke enters. He asks if Roy has had any calls from Felicia, but there have been none. Luke points out that "thanks to the cops, Faison has got Felicia, the diamonds, and a 24-hour lead. He could be anywhere". Later, Luke decides that Faison is probably in Switzerland, and feels that if he goes there he can gain access to Faison's bank account information. Roy is ready to go along, but Luke insists that he stay in Port Charles and keep an eye on things there.

Felicia is in her new cell, demanding to be let out. She can be seen in the door's window, but cannot be heard from the outside. Faison enters and apologizes for the conditions. Felicia correctly guesses that Luke got close to finding her, and Faison confirms that that was what necessitated their move, but then tells her that Luke has been locked up by Mac, "the logic of the small town policeman always escapes me". He has brought her an apple, but she refuses it, and after telling her that she must begin to appreciate what she has, he turns to go. He pauses at the door and asks her not to pound at the window, it brings back terrible memories (alluding to the woman who died in the research facility). Faison leaves, and Felicia lies on the floor in the fetal position, sobbing.

At the club, Luke is getting ready to leave for Switzerland, checking possible passport identities for himself and Felicia. The phone rings, and it is Faison, explaining how Luke just missed Felicia, "What is that mundane turn of phrase, something about two ships?" Luke is angry, but Faison just wants to toy with him. At the hideout, Felicia remembers Faison's story about the first woman he loved, whom he killed at the research facility. She looks up to see his face in the door window, and concludes that he will kill her, too.

Felicia and Faison are in Felicia's cell, and she is telling him that she fully expects to die there, but takes some comfort in the fact that he will die also. He is unconcerned, and proceeds to explain that all this would have been unnecessary had she simply realized from the outset that he was the only man able to make her happy. He assures her that "her hero" will come to rescue her shortly, but who will it be? Luke or Mac? he teases.

At the club, Luke is putting bullets in a gun as Roy watches. Roy wants to accompany Luke on his mission to save Felicia, but Luke explains again that Faison explicitly told him to come alone or he would kill her. Mac enters as Luke says this, and Roy mumbles something about the gun being his, but Mac says he isn't there to check gun permits. Roy exits, and Mac explains that he knows Faison has been in touch with Luke. Mac is planning to go with Luke, but Luke asks if Mac is trying to get Felicia killed? Faison is insane and may do anything. Mac is insisting that he knows the risks as the phone rings, it's Faison, whistling again. He taunts Luke a little, then tells him where to meet him. Later, as Luke goes to the assigned spot, he sees a shabby man huddled in the snow. Just then the phone rings again, and it's Faison demanding to know about the bum, is it Mac in disguise? Luke says that it is not, and gives the man money, removing his hat as he does so, so that Faison's camera can see that it is not Mac. As Luke goes back to the phone, we see Mac hiding around the corner.

Stefan encounters Helena walking outside, and turns down her demand for help at her trial. Helena insists that she could be an asset to Stefan, and asks him once again to testify on her behalf, explaining that the charges against her would then be dropped. Stefan replies that "that will happen immediately after the streets are pave in gold", and advises her to look for him on the witness stand. After he leaves, Helena considers aloud that one hint that Lucky is still alive and Laura would be lost to Stefan forever.

Laura is outside the diner when she gets a cell phone call from Stefan. He feels that Nikolas is troubled, and wants to know if she knows anything about it, but while she, too, has noticed, she doesn't know any details. He tells her he still loves her and Nikolas, and explains that he is planning to invite Nikolas to dinner that evening. She misses him, too, and they hang up a little wistfully. Laura goes back into the diner to retrieve her forgotten gloves, and sees Roy, who asks if she got his letter about the room. She's a little confused, but they sort it out, he's interested in renting a room, and she has one to let since the big house is too much for just herself and her daughter. He's worried that she won't be comfortable with an ex-con as a tenant, but she's more concerned that he is friends with Luke. They set each other's minds to rest about these concerns, and decide to look at the room with no hard feelings whatever the decision.

While Mac watches from his hiding place, Luke is on the phone with Faison. Faison tells Luke that he knows that Mac is with him. He tells Luke to get rid of Mac or the game ends right there and Felicia dies. Luke sets down the receiver of the payphone and goes to talk to Mac. He tells Mac that he needs to be unarmed. Mac says fine, they will just leave his gun there. As Mac turns to walk away, Luke bonks him on the head with the butt of the gun, knocking him unconscious.

Luke goes back to the phone and tells Faison that he is alone. Faison is pleased and tells Luke where the next contact point is. After hanging up the phone, Faison goes into Felicia's cell and informs her that it appears that her partner is coming for her after all. He hopes Luke makes it in time for her sake. Luke checks on Mac, who is still unconscious, and rushes off to the next checkpoint with apologies to Mac.

On his cell phone, Faison tells Luke that he made it to the checkpoint with three seconds to spare. He tells Luke where his next checkpoint is and tells him that Felicia will be waiting for him. After he hangs up, he says that he will also be waiting. He puts the phone in his pocket and goes into Felicia's cell. He tells her that this will soon be over, at least for one of them. Felicia tearfully tells Faison that he has won. She tells him that she will do anything as long as he promises not to hurt Luke.

Faison paces silently around the cell pondering what Felicia has offered. Felicia demands to know if they have a deal. Faison asks Felicia if she is willing to give up her kids, her husband and Luke. Felicia says that she said that she would go with him. Faison tells her that it is too late. She had her chance. And what did he get for his heart felt attempts to show her that he loves her? He got attempts to kill him, false promises. This sudden urge to change her mind must have something to do with Luke. He demands that Felicia admit it that she is willing to give up everything for Luke. He then tells her that that is infidelity and there are still some places in this world where infidelity is punishable by death. Felicia demands to know what Faison wants from her. Faison replies that there is only one thing he wants from her and he is arriving any minute. Luke arrives in Felicia's cell just as Faison had planned. Before Felicia can warn him, Faison has Luke at gun point.

In the secret room, Faison forces Luke to reveal his true feelings for Felicia. When Faison leaves the room, Felicia becomes agitated, proclaiming that their kidnapper has plans to murder them. Luke attempts to comfort Felicia when she dissolves into tears, but Felicia is not assuaged. She tells Luke Faison's story about his lost love at the nuclear laboratory and declares that Faison plans to kill them just as he killed Robert and Anna. Gas begins to seep into the room from an overhead unit, rendering Luke and Felicia very sleepy. Before they nod off, Luke tells Felicia that he meant what he said earlier, when he told her that he loved her.

Roy came to the Spencer home to see the room for rent and Laura commented on his punctuality. Roy told her how nice and homey the house was, but said he couldn't see Luke in it. Laura replied that Luke couldn't either, which was part of the problem. She showed him the room and reminisced about how Lucky used the window to leave more than the door. Roy said it must have been rough the last year when Lucky moved out and Laura said that rough was just beginning then, but that it's getting better. LuLu came in and Roy was wonderful and charming to her and they ended up in a tea party (the "are you cool?" test with LuLu. He and Laura talked about roads not taken just as Bobbie arrived to give Laura a birthday present. After she left, Roy asked if she came by often and remarked that he was surprised that they were close after their history. They smiled about life being full of surprises. He told her he'd like to take the room and they agreed he would move in immediately. Stefan knocked on the door to give Laura a birthday bouquet of roses. He said he was sorry, he didn't know she had guests. She said Roy was not a guest, he was her new roommate. Stefan was not happy with this news.

Felicia in a dream state saw Mac and Maxie looking for Georgie's shoe while Felicia looked on, frantically suggesting that they look behind the winged chair. Of course, they couldn't hear her and she became increasingly frustrated. Maxie asked when Mom was coming back and Mac assured her it would be soon, amongst lots of "I'm right here!"s from Felicia. They left and she saw a doorway with bright light coming through and Luke appeared there and told her it was time. She argued that she wanted to stay there with her family and he told her that wasn't a choice. She went to him, Mac and the girls came back into the room and she looked back regretfully, then went with Luke.

Felicia and Luke awoke and realized that Faison had only gassed the room with a sleeping drug, not a killing drug. Felicia started freaking out about how they were going to die and Luke told her that as long as they were alive, they had a chance. They found a vent and got all excited thinking they had found a way out, but it was blocked up behind he vent. Faison entered and commented that they had found his gift, something to do if they got bored. Felicia asked him what it was he wanted and he told her it was to see them both dead. She asked him who she was to believe, the man before her who says he wants her to die or the one in the frilly room who professed his undying love for her? He said it really didn't matter now. She said that given the choice between death and a life with him, she'd choose death. She said that he shared that sentiment and he left.

Felicia and Luke started talking about how they were going to die and feeling each other's face. She asked him if he ever wondered about "what ifs" and he said he did all the time, "What if he'd killed Faison when he had the chance," etc. She said no, that she meant in the grander scheme of things. If there had been no Frisco, no Mac, no kids and he met her on the street, would he…? "Know you?" he filled in. He swore it might have taken him a minute because he's slow on the uptake, but he would have known her the minute he fell into those baby blues. Then they starting kissing deeply, making out.

At Laura's house, Laura and Roy are making arrangements for him to move in when Stefan arrives, bearing roses for her birthday. The men introduce themselves to one another and Roy departs. Stefan is unhappy about Roy moving in, and Laura tries to explain their relationship. Stefan, upon learning where Roy's been, comments, "He's been in prison for twenty years, he must be a friend of Luke's". Laura insists that she knows what she's doing, and Stefan interprets this as proof that she's given up on having a life with him. Laura explains that she believed he'd been completely honest with her when in fact he'd been lying; she still loves him, but has not yet come to any conclusion about their relationship. Stefan insists that he was only trying to protect her, but Laura wonders if she can ever trust him, she does not know his heart.

He replies that his heart is the same as when they first met, when he lied to protect her on the island. He tells her he loves her, wishes her a happy birthday and exits. Lesley enters next, bearing a big cake. Laura explains about the flowers from Stefan, about how he and Roy met and the ensuing reaction of hurt and anger on Stefan's part. Laura says that she was only trying to fill Lucky's empty room, and she begins to cry. Nikolas arrives with a present, and the three of them share a group hug. Amy is last on the scene, telling about meeting Roy at the hospital and joking about sharing her apartment with him as Lesley lights the candles on the cake. Leslie Lu tells her mother to make a wish, and Laura blows out the candles.

At Faison's hideout, Luke and Felicia are kissing passionately when she suddenly breaks off. She apologizes, but she can't be unfaithful to Mac. Luke is reassuring her when he has a realization, and begins kissing her again, forcing her down onto the cot. He whispers to Felicia to fight him, to "spoil the show for Faison", and she does so, crying out for him to stop. Faison enters the room with gun drawn, demanding that Luke take his hands off Felicia. He fires one shot into the air, advising that it is the last warning shot and goes to shoot Luke just as Felicia dives in front of him. Felicia is shot in the shoulder, and Faison says that he is sorry, but that she would soon die anyway. He tells Luke to move away from her, and Luke screams at him to go to hell just as Mac enters behind Faison. Mac makes Faison drop the gun and the two wrestle as

Luke carries Felicia from the room. Mac pins Faison on the cot, handcuffs him, and pushes him out the door to where Luke waits with Felicia. We see that a video camera has recorded all this, and now begins to rewind.

At the hospital, Bobbie and Luke briefly discuss his adventure with Felicia, and she tells him that Jerry jumped bail. Bobbie mentions Christmas, and Luke is momentarily confused as to what day it is, then leaps up, saying he has someplace to be.

At Laura's house, Luke is at the door with presents. He enters, and he and Laura chat awkwardly about the decorations, the angel, past Christmases and Lucky. LuLu comes in from upstairs and she and Luke go over her letter to Santa, then she gives him a present for under his tree. He and Laura exchange teary hugs and he leaves. Later, Laura is crying, looking at pictures of Lucky, when Stefan arrives. He wants to invite Laura and LuLu to Wyndemere for Christmas dinner with Nikolas. Laura tells him that she would never have gotten through the last year without his support, and to remember that she loves him, no matter how things turn out. She accepts his invitation.

Roy and Luke are at Luke's club, and Luke tells him all about how Felicia was shot, how they almost made love, how she decided she loved her husband. Roy is sympathetic.

Luke is in his office when he hears a knock on the door. He tells the person to go away, but changes his mind when he hears Liz's voice. He invites her in and happily accepts her gift of brownies. She notices that he is sad and offers to try and make him laugh by showing him her elf costume. Luke can't help but chuckle at the costume and correctly deduces that she is working the GH Christmas party. Liz nods and asks if there is any chance he wants to be her date. Luke says that that is the best offer he has had this millenium, but politely declines. He isn't very good with Christmas parties.

Liz says that she understands. She thought about staying home too. She doesn't really feel like going out and plastering a smile on her face either, especially without Lucky there. She still isn't sure that she can pull it off. Luke assures her that she can. She made his son happy when nothing else could. Lucky always said that she was the most courageous person he knew. Luke knows that this will be nothing. Liz says that she still misses Lucky so much, sometimes it still hurts to breathe.  Luke says that he knows. Liz gives Luke a hug and then leaves for the party. Once Liz is gone, Luke walks over to his desk and picks up a picture of Lucky  and looks at it sadly. He looks up and whispers, "Merry Christmas Cowboy".

Luke is in his office talking to himself when Roy arrives. Roy explains that he is there making a coffee delivery and says that he is surprised to find Luke there. Luke says that he doesn't feel like celebrating and good naturedly tells Roy to go away. Roy says that he has to tell Luke something. He confesses that he is renting a room from Laura.

Luke is shocked to hear that Laura is renting out a room. Roy explains that he thinks that Laura is just trying to be independent. He offers to not take the room if it bothers Luke, but Luke says that it is fine. Roy is relieved since he really liked the homey feel of the house and he loved Lulu. Luke's face softens at the mention of Lulu. He tells Roy that it actually might be good for him to be there to watch over Laura and Lulu. Roy says that Lulu must be missing her big brother this year. Luke nods sadly. Roy wishes Luke a Merry Christmas and leaves him alone. Luke sits in his chair and stares at Lucky's picture.

While "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas” plays for the annual Christmas montage as the Q's share Christmas together, he mixed marrieds are together and happy, Jax and Chloe share a kiss while Ned and Alexis do the same, Emily and Juan share a kiss under the mistletoe, Bobbie is alone with a gift that Jerry had delivered to the hospital, Roy comes across Hannah on the docks and gathers her up into a comforting hug, Sonny stares out the window of his penthouse and watches the snow fall, Tammy and Mike leave together happily arm in arm, Liz presents Jason with a Christmas gift and a kiss on the cheek, Stefan arrives at Laura's with her Christmas gift but she is happily sharing Christmas with Luke and Lulu, the reunited Scorpio's are happily gathered around the tree.

Carly runs into Luke at the elevator at GH. They exchange sarcastic “Happy Holidays”. Luke is bearing tax papers for Kelly’s. Bobbie asks if he’s going to tell her what happened when he and Felicia were kidnapped. Luke gives Bobbie non-answers about the kidnapping. Mac visits Faison and tells him that he will be convicted. Mac plans to play it by the book. Nik tells Laura about what happened at the hospital party and earlier that day. Laura is sympathetic.

Maxie finds the gift Faison had delivered. It’s a videotape. Mac comes home and Maxie tells him she does not know who the tape is from. Mac suggests that it’s from Bobbie. Felicia visits Faison. She taunts him about being the prisoner. He makes threats about Mac finding out about her and Luke. She leaves. Felicia goes to the hospital and runs into Luke (after he has not answered Bobbie’s questions). Mac sits down to watch the video and sees the footage of Felicia and Luke.

Felicia told Luke and Bobbie she was at the hospital to see Tony. Luke wished Bobbie good luck on the taxes for Kelly's and left. Felicia stopped him and told him that she went to see Faison in prison. She told Luke that she was tired of lying to Mac and that she was lying by not saying anything. Luke asked her if she was going to tell him the whole truth and she said she didn't know. She was just telling him to be ready because if Faison told him and he questioned her, she wasn't going to deny anything. He told her to do what she had to do and she said she always did. Luke's phone then rang and Mac told him to come by the house, that he had some follow up questions about Faison.

At Mac's, Luke told him that he figured he wanted an explanation for the bump on the head. Mac said he was more concerned about Felicia and what had happened to her when she was kidnapped. Luke bunted and told him he should ask Felicia when she's ready to discuss it. Mac said he was ready to discuss it and was asking him. Luke told him that Faison was even more twisted than they thought and informed him about the sleeping gas, the fake vent and Faison's fiancée and how they thought at any minute they were going to die. He said that Felicia had taken a bullet and he was sorry he couldn't protect her from it. Mac reminded Luke that Felicia was there because of him and Luke said he knew. Mac asked if it was over and Luke said that he'd caught the bad guy and saved the day, so it was. He told him he'd done good work. Mac asked Luke if he hadn't realized that he'd do anything to save his wife and Luke said, yeah, that he got that.

At Laura's house, Roy arrives with his suitcase, ready to move in. It's a little awkward, and they chat about how strange they feel, how little stuff he brought, and whether or not his moving in will bother Luke (Roy thinks not). He asks if the separation has been hard on Laura, and she says that it has, and that it appears to have been easy for Luke to move on. Roy explains that it has not been easy for Luke, but that people deal with things differently, and suggests that "it isn't so much what we should try to forget as what we choose to remember". Laura agrees, dries her eyes, and gets him the keys, after which Roy leaves for work.

Mac is at the Police Department viewing the tape as Taggert brings Faison in. Mac dismisses Taggert, and puts the tape on again so that he and Faison can watch it together. After a few moments he takes it off and states that he is sure it is "a phony", but Faison asserts that it is indeed genuine. Mac says that Faison has "a sick need to destroy things, but he's running out of playing field" and will soon be going to prison for the rest of his life. Faison plays with him a little, questioning how he can be so sure, suggesting that all Mac's anger is really directed at Luke or Felicia. Mac explains that Faison was obsessed with Felicia and is trying to set Mac up to destroy his own marriage through jealousy.

Faison counters that Felicia had no trouble rejecting his advances, so why didn't she turn Luke away also? He asks how Felicia explained the video, and seeing that he hit a nerve, goes on to taunt Mac about watching the video over and over alone.

Mac can stand no more and has Faison removed, just as Felicia enters, and Faison manages to ask "How's your arm, sweetheart?" as he's hauled away. Felicia is concerned that Faison has upset Mac, but he insists that she's the one he's concerned about. Mac falls all over himself being supportive, and insists that in order to really help Felicia, he needs to know exactly what happened every minute of her captivity. Felicia says that she doesn't know what to tell him other that what she's already said. Mac persists, explaining that when Faison was obsessed with Anna, he killed her and the man she loved, Robert Scorpio. Now that he's obsessed with Felicia, why did Faison pull Luke into the ordeal instead of the one Felicia loves, Mac? Felicia dismisses the entire subject, stating that she's tired of playing games; she wants Mac to let go and stop worrying, she's fine, he should get back to work.

Luke is looking in the window of the empty diner, hoping to see Bobbie. She's already gone, but Laura and Lulu happen by just then. They chat about New Year's, and Luke says that the new millennium is a good time to lay low and reflect. Lulu wants to know what a millennium is, and as Luke explains that it is "1,000 years, a whole lot of history", he and Laura exchange long looks.

The music plays As Time Goes By, and we see Mike and Tammy dancing in the diner, wearing their shiny hats and sharing a kiss, AJ watching as Sonny and Carly emerge from the elevator; Alan and Monica having a hug and a kiss, Edward and Lila exchanging fond looks, Emily and Juan sharing a kiss, Luke alone at his club, Laura with Stefan, Alexis pretending to be asleep as Ned comes in, then waking to kiss him, and Chloe and Jax dancing in the rain.

Nik is at Windermere with Laura and he's telling her how much he thinks he's blown it with Liz after the GH party thing. He leaves and Stefan comes in. They talk and start some serious kissing and Helena comes in. Laura leaves, she can't take Helena ruining a perfect evening. Helena tells Stefan that she wants him to give her an alibi or else. She hold up an envelope that she wants him to look in. He refuses and she leaves. She reveals that the envelope held a picture and it looked like the back of a boy's head at a computer. She knows Stefan is going to be sorry.

Luke and Felicia see each other on the dock and laugh together. Felicia tells Luke she lied to Mac. Luke says he did the same. Felicia tells Luke to stay away from her the feleings are to hard to control. Mac is secretly watching them. Felicia and Luke meet again in a very serious Mac’s office to sign the official police statements. Mac tells Luke the stories don’t match.

Helena goes to L&B to ask Alexis for legal help. Alexis wants her to grovel and laughs at her. Helena returns to her yacht were she has employed Aurie’s twin. She asks him to take a wig, similar to the one found in connection with Katherine Bell’s murder and place it into the evidence taken from Faison’s apartment where he was holding Felicia.

Laura and Roy are at Laura's house, talking about Luke. Laura wants to know how Luke is doing and tells Roy that she's glad he and Luke are friends. She fishes a little for information about Felicia, and explains that she wants Luke to be happy, but. Roy sums it up for her, once your life seemed set, and it revolved around one person, then they moved on to something and you want to be glad about it but you're not.

Luke and LuLu are sitting together on a bench in the park when Felicia arrives with Georgie. The children go off to swing on the swings and Luke and Felicia exchange awkward small talk. She tells him that she misses seeing him and they agree that they both forgot that she was a wife and mother. Felicia states sadly that she's selfish, and Luke is being reassuring when Laura arrives and interrupts the tender moment. Everyone is dismayed at her arrival, and she apologizes for interrupting as Felicia gathers Georgie and they leave. Laura sends Lulu to swing for another five minutes, and she and Luke chat aimlessly until the subject of the divorce comes up. It will be final in six months, will Luke celebrate? Laura wonders. Luke is offended, and she apologizes; they decide that they don't know how to act, but that they will make it up as they go along. After all, what's the worst that can happen? "We get divorced," they sadly say together.

Mac excitedly calls Dara when he discovers that the list refers to a blond wig, and he makes the association with Helena and with Katherine Bell's murder. Dara comes in to tell Mac that the fibers on the wig in Faison's stuff match those in the hallway outside Helena's room at Windemere. Mac tells her they have Helena's bank records and hopes they can establish a link between the two.

Helena meets her latest boy toy and he reports that the PCPD is checking her bank records as they speak. She is pleased that they will link her and Faison, then she will have him right where she wants him. Mac reports to Dara that three sizable deposits in Faison's accounts correspond to activity in Helena's accounts. Mac realizes this makes sense, as Faison is a mercenary. Felicia was just a distraction while he was in town on other business.

Mac, with Dara in tow, taunts Faison about a Murder One charge. Faison does not know what Mac is talking about. Faison is pacing in his cell when Mac arrives to taunt him some more. Helena runs into Luke and Roy on the dock. Luke taunts her about going to jail. Helena tells Luke that she is not going to jail, she “feels lucky.” Helena leaves. Luke tells Roy about the Spencer and Cassadine history. Luke is on the docks opening a box of cigars when Liz arrives. They talk about Lucky. Liz tells Luke about finding a friend who made her forget for a while, but she still misses Lucky.

Bobbie and Laura enter Laura’s house while Lulu and Lucas play outside in the snow. Bobbie is clearly looking for Roy. Laura tells Bobbie that he is not there. Bobbie playfully acts innocent. They vaguely discuss their past loves, Luke and Roy. Bobbie leaves. Laura stares at a Spencer family photo. Helena bribes a cop to let her see Faison alone. She tells him he’s about to be charged with Katherine’s murder. He says he didn’t kill her. Helena admits that she did, but “why go to jail when I can send you?” Helena tells Faison how she framed him. Faison threatens to tell everyone that she has Lucky. She tells him that, if he tells, she cannot help him escape. She leaves. Helena and her current boy toy meet on the dock. She send him to the place where Lucky is being kept to tell the people watching him that she will be arriving soon.

Stefan has come to pick Laura up for dinner. Laura has to cancel because Lulu is sick. Stefan offers to have dinner brought to them. Laura tries to beg off, but Stefan won’t take no for an answer. He goes to call for food and finally gets it. He asks if she wants him there. Stefan gets agitated that Laura is trying to send him away. Laura tells him that she loves him but still cannot forgive him for lying so easily. Stefan leaves and she looks a little relieved. Luke arrives and she looks happy to see him.

Faison is asking Dara about the evidence against him. He maintains his innocence. He offers information which Mac will not accept. Mac comes back to talk to him and Faison is gone, he escaped! Flip to Helena and Ari's brother on the docks talking about Lucky being in place and Faison is on his way. Helena mentions that Faison won't be alive to enjoy his freedom.

Felicia is waiting for Luke in his office, obviously upset and crying. She shows Luke the video of them kissing and wonders if Faison would show Mac. She tells Luke that she has to come clean with Mac.

Stefan walks in and sees Luke at the house with Laura. He tells her to consider their relationship and then call him. Luke is helping to care for the sick LuLu and they joke about Roy and how the time doesn't seem to have gone by at all. Luke asks Laura if he's wearing polyester leisure suits around the house. Laura seems to enjoy having Luke there.

Luke and Felicia are watching the tape. She says I have to tell Mac the truth before Faison does it. Which truth asks Luke. That believing we were going to die soon, two friends found comfort in each others arms. But nothing else happened, because I love Mac and would never be unfaithful she replies. She wants to do it alone, but Luke says it will be easier for Mac to blame me if I'm there. They go off to find Mac.

Helena is brought in for questioning. Helena tries to pass of the transfer of money as payment for jewelry. Luke says she's paying Faison to go after someone, himself maybe? In the end they let Helena go. She goes to tell Faison that the rest of his escape will happen tomorrow and then we'll be even (each having restored the others' freedom of movement) Not quite, you still have Lucky says Faison. Luke and Felicia decide this is not a good time to tell Mac about the tape.

Felicia makes a visit to Luke to discuss what they should do about the tape. They agree to wait a day to see if Faison is caught before she talks to Mac about what happened.
