Spencers vs Cassidine #13 March 25 - May 27, 1999 - 8 hour original edit DVD #13A Liz runs into Laura at GH. Laura thanks her for staying with Lucky when she told him about the divorce. Lucky has had to absorb so much lately and now this. She thinks that having Liz there made it easier for Lucky, even if it was a little awkward for her. Liz says that she did feel awkward, but she mostly just feels sad for everyone. Laura agrees that it is sad. Their family has survived so much and she never thought it would come to this, but Lucky made her feel so much better because she left feeling like she was still his mother. Luke arrives at Lucky's apartment to visit. Luke comments on the apartment, but Lucky tells him that he doesn't have to pretend that he has never seen it before. He knows that Luke scoped it out before he kidnapped him last fall. Luke laughs at being "caught" by Lucky and asks why he invited him over. Lucky tells him that Laura had visited and told him that they are thinking of divorcing. He asks Luke if it is true. Laura tells Liz that Lucky has been so angry with her and Luke and she was afraid that he would be furious when he heard what Laura had to say. Liz says that it is progress that Lucky didn't blow up about it. Liz mentions to Laura that when Lucky gets mad, he really gets mad. She asks if he got that from his father. Laura says that he probably got it from the both of them. Liz says that Lucky does get mad, but then he calms down and the part of him that is Laura takes over. The fair part that wants to hear everyone's side. Now that she knows Luke and Laura better, she can see that Lucky has so much of both of his parents in him. He is so brave and determined and kind of reckless and cool. And underneath it all, he is so caring and gentle. He learned that from Luke and Laura and in the end, it will see him through. Laura tells Liz that she and Luke may have given Lucky his potential, but Liz is the one who has made him live up to it. She has been so much more than a friend to Lucky. She has really changed his life. Lucky tells Luke that he is sorry about him and Laura. Luke tells Lucky that there was a time not too long ago when he would have thought that this was a perfect end to something that never should have happened in the first place. Lucky asks Luke what he thinks. Luke says that his marriage to Laura is the best thing that will ever happen to him. She gave him more love and happiness than he ever deserved. He never expected their lives to fall apart when all of the secrets started to come out of the walls, but he wasn't able to deal with Laura's secrets in a way that she could accept. That's why she kept the secrets in the first place. Lucky says that it doesn't sound like Luke regrets the last twenty years of his life. Luke says that he doesn't have any regrets. He has twenty years with Laura He has Lucky and Lulu. He has no right to any regrets. He just wants to move on. Lucky tells Luke that he doesn't have to worry about losing him. No matter what happens, he will be there for him, if he wants. Lucky tells Luke that for better or worse, he is the only Dad he gets. Luke did right by him and he is grateful. Lucky tells Luke that after Laura told him the news, he couldn't stop thinking about Lulu, all the things he has known that she won't. How the three of them were this whole little world. He asks Luke if he remembers the farm and the blizzard. Luke says he remembers being cleaned out by a four year old card shark who has no mercy. Lucky laughs and says he had no choice. He was snowed in with his parents for two weeks. Luke says that it was a good winter. Lucky says that there were a lot of good winters. There was a lot of good. That was why it hurt so much when he found out about the rape. He couldn't accept that all the love was an illusion. He knows now that it wasn't. People aren't perfect. He knows because of what's happening to him with Liz. Looks like she is going to be as big a part of his life as Laura was in Luke's. He can't imagine even one day without her. He thinks he might have gotten a small glimpse of what Luke is going through and he wishes there was something he could do to help. Luke tells Lucky that he already has helped. Laura tells Liz again how much she liked her portrait of Lucky. It really is Lucky, not just his face, but really him through Liz's eyes. Liz hopes that art school agrees with Laura. She explains that she is still trying to get in. Laura asks if Lucky is going with Liz if she gets in. Liz says that she couldn't imagine going anywhere without him. She would never have pursued this if Lucky hadn't insisted. She wouldn't have had the nerve. Lucky is always giving her his enthusiasm for everything. When she is with Lucky, she knows things are going to happen. He really thinks that she has something to say. Laura says that Liz obviously has a talent and Lucky has a talent for making things happen. She is sure that if Liz and Lucky have their sights set on New York, they are as good as there. Liz excuses herself saying she has to go. Laura talks to Tony about a job. She explains that she has almost completed her graduate degree in social work and hopes that Tony can give her a recommendation at the clinic. Tony asks why she doesn't apply at GH. Laura says that she is afraid that her relationship with Stefan would make it look like that is why she got the job. Tony understands her point, but doesn't think she should worry about it. Laura says that she wants to rebuild her life. Laura is very happy when Tony gives her a contact name for a job. Tony is equally happy that someone has asked him for help. He really thinks that Laura shouldn't completely close her mind to GH despite her friends in high places. Laura tells Tony that she was talking to Liz earlier and it reminded her of herself when she was young and in love. She feels like she blinked and twenty years passed. And now she is starting over. Sometimes it doesn't seem real. Tony says he knows some things about starting over. He did it about as badly as it can be done, but he did it. And he knows that Laura will too. Nikolas is at Wyndemere listening to Stefan explain that he arranged for Helena to become sole trustee. When Nikolas reveals that he's already spoken to both Helena and Alexis on the subject of mutual cooperation, Stefan grows angry and advises his son to let him handle all the business transactions. Stefan then tells him that Dr. Lastiris, who knew about the blood test, recently died. Nikolas is surprised, and Stefan warns Nikolas that Dr. Lastiris' murder was a clear message from the always lethal Helena. Nikolas assures his father that he won't deal with Helena any more alone. Stefan understands his objections and tells Nikolas that it is best if he leaves Helena to him. Nikolas agrees and then tells his father that he has to leave and will talk to him later. Shortly afterwards, Jax is at Stefan's house. Stefan says that he has been expecting his visit. Jax says that recognizing opportunity is his business. Stefan asks if he is representing Alexis or Helena. Faison is back from the grave, and begins plotting once more. An arrogant Faison is drinking champagne, in memory of his greatest triumph. The woman who is with him asks him what was that. He won't tell his her what it was, only that the best is yet to come. Faison's "companion" asks him to tell her about Robert Scorpio. Faison says that there is nothing to tell. Robert is dead along with his wife. Swimming with the fishes. There was a magnificent explosion which the world thinks also killed him. Luke is alone at his club drinking a toast to Robert. It clearly isn't his first. He is interrupted by a knock on the door. He tell the person to go away, but changes his mind when he sees that it is Lucky. Lucky asks if he is interrupting and Luke says that he was just having a drink with an old friend. Luke tells Lucky that it was seven years ago that Robert died. He tells Lucky that he almost named him Robert, but at the time, Laura thought it would be a good idea to have two Lucas Lorenzos on the earth. Lucky says that he always loved the fact that Robert and Luke hated each other at first. He asks Luke how he and Robert met. Luke laughs and says that he came home one night to his seedy little apartment, not unlike the one that Lucky is hanging out in, and found an Australian in his face with a firearm the size of a Buick. Luke jumped him, but it didn't work because Robert had a trained guerilla with him. The next thing Luke knew, he came to with a bump on his head and the two goons were gone. Lucky asks if that was the first time Robert asked him about the Ice Princess. Luke said that it was and then goes on to tell how he retaliated for the assault by sneaking into Robert's room and pistol whipping him. Luke laughs at the memory and pours himself another shot while Lucky asks him if it took a while for him to figure out that Robert was from the WSB. Luke says yes and explains that Robert had this partner named O' Reily, a woman, who was killed. She underestimated a Cassadine. After that he and Robert got on board this Cassadine yacht to search for the Ice Princess. While they were at sea, Luke found out that Laura, who had promised him to stay at home, had stowed away. Luke gets a far away look in his eyes and says that he misses those days. Lucky asks Luke if he ended meeting Laura after they got to the island and Robert let himself get captured. Luke says that that was Laura's version. Luke wishes Lucky could have met Robert. Lucky would have found him incredibly annoying and interesting. Robert was unique. Lucky remembers when Luke found out about Robert's death while they were living in Canada. He knows it was an explosion. He asks what happened. Luke explains that an old enemy of Robert's, Cesar Faison, caught up with him. Luke doesn't know Faison (at least he thinks he doesn't), but he heard that Faison took Robert's wife Anna, who was also with the WSB. Robert chased them and rather than give Anna up, Faison blew up the boat with all three of them on it. Luke changes the subject and asks why Lucky isn't with Liz. Lucky explains that Liz is at home working on a project and that he promised to bring her cheese fries. Lucky asks Luke if he wants to get some air and walk him back, but Luke assures him that he is fine. After Lucky leaves, Luke takes another drink and tells Robert that Lucky is a real good boy. Robert would have liked him. Laura arrives at Wyndemere to apologize for seemingly excluding him from her little talk with Nikolas. She wanted to tell Nikolas about her and Luke discussing a divorce. Stefan is surprised and asks if that is what Laura wants. Laura says that she wants to bury what is dead. She wants to go on with her own life. So she told Lucky and Nikolas and she is even trying to start to prepare Leslie Lu. He sees before him a woman trying to claim her own life. He can mark it down in his calendar as the day Laura moved on, finally. Stefan tells Laura that he knows she is sad. Unable to hold it in any longer, Laura starts to cry. Laura apologizes to Stefan for her mini breakdown, but Stefan tells her that it is not necessary to apologizing for grieving. She has just lost a marriage with all the dreams attached. She spent two decades with Luke. It would unrealistic to expect that she could be instantly over that. Grief comes when something has ended, tears of sadness are the last part of that. Once she has shed them, she can move on. Laura says that she remembers saying once that their problem was timing. Maybe their timing is getting better. Stefan assures Laura that there is no rush. It is important that she know that. He will give her all the time she needs. Laura kisses Stefan gently and tells him that all she needs right now is him. Laura thanks Stefan for being so understanding. It means so much just to have him there. Stefan tells Laura that what they have is real. Laura says that she isn't ready for everything yet, but she is ready to make a start. Stefan says that that is good. He would never ask her to give up where she came from because every moment of her life has made her the woman she is today. The woman he loves. Laura says that she wants to stop looking backwards. She wants a new life. She wants to start over and let the past be the past so she can focus on what is in front of her. Stefan leans in and kisses Laura. Luke is alone in his office drunkenly talking to an invisible Robert, when the phone rings. Mr. Kreig (a.k.a. Faison), is trying to coax Luke into selling another piece of the ice princess. Luke declines saying that he will contact Mr. Kreig when he is ready to do business again. Faison hangs up the phone and explains to his companion that he was talking to a man who is mourning the death of an old friend. Grief can be a heavy load and it makes a man vulnerable. Luke arrived at his club and found that vandals had attacked the outside, spray painting the outside and damaging one of the greeter monkeys. He immediately called Sonny to tell him that Moreno had stuck exactly as Sonny said he would. Luke warned Sonny that Moreno would only escalate the violence from here and wondered why Sonny was being so calm about Moreno's recent moves. Sonny explained to him that he had to carefully watch his moves to protect Jason's reputation in the upcoming custody hearing. Luke was largely unsympathetic and told Sonny that it might be beyond his control. Laura applied for a job at GH and was offered assistance from Stefan. She told him she would prefer to get a position on her own merits rather than favoritism. He wanted to help her and didn’t like the idea of helping her struggle on her own financially. He wishes her luck and promises not to interfere. Luke steps off the elevator and stares daggers at them. Luke hands Bobbie the books from Kelly’s and stomps off. Audrey told her about a position as outreach working for teens and said that she would be happy to recommend her for the position based on her work at the Ward house. Laura shows up at GH and talks with Audrey about the job she applied for. Audrey tells her nothing is official but that Laura has the job at the Outreach Program. Felicia shows up at Luke's to meet Mac and chats with Luke. She's waering the shoes that he gave her. He checks out the shoes and ogles her leg. Then they talk about how he's partners in the club with Sonny and Jason and she says that he must love the trill of the potential danger by having them as partners. They talk about Felicia interviewing Lila and Luke comments that maybe Edward keeps hanging around while they're interviewing because he doesn't want Lila to say something. They joke about what she could be hiding. Felicia says that the 40s must have been an interesting time to be young and single. Luke puts on some 40s music and they swing dance. Mac walks in in the middle and they stop and Felicia starts to explain why she was dancing with Luke, but Mac tells her not to worry about it and they sit down to eat. Alexis goes to Nik's and asks him to sign a medical release form so she can get his records from the clinic in Geneva from when he donated bone marrow. She hopes that Dr. Lestad was in such a hurry to send the records that he didn't remove info that will show that Helena knew that Stefan was Nik's father so Helena will be disqualified from being executor of the estate. Nik says this will also DQ Stefan so only Alexis would be able to be the executor. He doesn't trust her when she says she'll have someone neutral appointed. She doesn't blame him and says that it was hard for her to get used to being a Cassadine after hiding it for so long. She admits that she does blame the family and Stefan for making her hide it, but her goal is to remove Helena as the exector and that's all. Nik agrees that she was treated unfairly and signs the release. Alexis says she's sad he won't technically be the prince and asks him not to hate her. As Katherine and Nik heading up to bed, Laura walks in and sees them. Katherine tells her she has no respect for people's privacy and Laura says she just has no respect for Katherine. Nik says Laura is welcome in his home but she can't insult his guests. Katherine leaves. Nik and Laura get into a brief argument about Katherine. Laura says Katherine is using Nik to get back at Stefan and her and Nik says if that's true, Laura and Stefan should just ignore her. He doesn't think Katherine will hurt him. Laura worries that Katherine will come between them and Nik says they should change the subject or she should leave. Laura agrees to change the subject for now. She says she doesn't know where she stands with him and he says that he'll always want her advice, but that he may ignore it. They laugh and go to celebrate her new job. Laura and Stefan are sharing a meal at the Grille. Laura is obsessing about the budget for the Outreach Program and her presentation to the Hospital Board. Stefan gives her some pointers and suggests that she get help from Lucky or Nikolas to make them on the computer. Stefan then drop the bomb that he plans to step down as CEO of General Hospital. Laura asks him to stay because she was looking forward to seeing him at work. She suggests that it would be nice if she could see him during the day, or have his office to use as a frustration venting room, or maybe they could eat lunch together in the cafeteria. Stefan agrees to stay because it is what wants him to do. Helena is at Luke's club demanding to know where Alexis is. Luke refuse to cooperate or tell her anything, and says he has no idea where Alexis is. Luke and Helena exchange the usual barbs and insults with Helena being especially vicious about Laura and Stefan. Sonny walks in and Luke asks him how his meeting with his attorney, Alexis, went. Sonny takes the bait and says that he just left Alexis at her office. Helena knows he is lying but leaves with one of her usual sweet smiles. Sonny and Luke discuss the state of Sonny's affairs and how long he will stay clean. Sonny assures Luke he has no intentions of going back into the business. Benny calls to give Sonny a phone message from some one interested in his business. After some consideration, Sonny returns the call, not knowing he was calling Faison. Stefan tells Laura that the GH board was very impressed with her ideas and her desire towards the youth in the community and requested that he offer her the position of Director of The Hospital Youth Outreach program. Before accepting the position, Laura made Stefan swear that he didn't have nothing to do with her getting the job. Stefan told her that she had his word and then pulled out a document to show her that she had won the position on her own merit with all the work she had did at Ward House. Laura accepted the job at General Hospital and was delighted that she had gotten it on her own without Stefan's help. They then talked about the work she would be doing with the outreach program and Laura admitted to Stefan that she was once a runaway. He was stunned and then admitted that there were times when he wished he could have run away himself. Laura then tells Stefan that she hopes to do a good job. Stefan complimented her and told her she would do just fine. She told him as long as he kept on believing in her she felt that she would. Later Stefan and Laura took a walk around the gardens of Spoon Island. Felicia comes into Luke’s made up to look like Lila back in the 40’s and gets Luke's opinion. Luke tells her she looks very Carole Lombardish. Felicia explains to an approving Luke why she's decided to wear the appropriate hairstyle and clothing for inspiration as she pens Lila's memories of the '40's. She then admits that she wanted to feel like a young Lila. He pours her a drink and they chat and Felicia tells Luke she has a favor to asks of him. Felicia asks to borrow a few LP's from Luke's famous collection, but Luke informed her that he never parted with his babies unless he was with them, a Spencer rule. Felicia promised to take care of them, but Luke told her that no one takes care of your albums as well as you do and it's a lesson he learned a long time ago. Luke tells Felicia he is glad that happened because he doesn't know if he would have been able to turn down a sultry redhead. Felicia asks Luke if he likes Ned's music. Luke tells her he does, it's just that Luke's Place is a blues club and Ned would bring in a different crowd with his type of people. Felicia agrees. Luke approaches AJ and Carly and gives them a bit of a difficult time. Luke and Carly share shots while A.J. tries to lure Luke into admitting that Jason is violent, but fortunately Luke does not fool easily. Felicia attempts to pay Luke for her drink, but he refuses to take her money and so she instead gives it to Sonny. Outside, Laura and Stefan discuss their relationship between kisses. Stefan respects Laura's desire to wait before telling him what is really in her heart and Laura expresses her delight with their current relationship. As Sonny and Luke look on, Hannah is being trained. Luke decides to test Hannah's expertise as a bartender by ordering a "pin-cushion." When she brings the drink back, Luke compliments Hannah on her speed and at how good the drink is considering there is no such drink as a "pin cushion." Hannah says, "Well, now there is." Luke assures Sonny she will fit in just fine at Luke's. Sonny and Luke discuss Moreno and how he is now a desperate man. Luke asks Sonny if he should be worried. Luke then asks Hannah how she and Sonny met. She tells him the mugger story. Luke comments that it was a good thing Sonny didn't hesitate in the face of a problem or things might not have turned out so well. Nikolas fills Stefan in and asks him about Helena's business dealings in Cairo. He tells Stefan that Alexis is missing, that it is believed her helicopter went down in North Africa. Stefan demands to know who told him. Nikolas tells him that Ned’s assistant informed him, and Ned and Jax are over there now looking for her. He also tells Stephan about the medical release he signed giving Alexis access to his medical records. He states that this will show Helena was aware of his true paternity and kept the information quiet and therefore will not be able to continue to be executor of the Cassidine estate. Stefan is livid because he wants Helena to be in control of the estate for now. Nikolas doesn't care, he just wants to help Alexis. Stefan says he's "dangerously naive" and lectures him about being on his own. He tells Nikolas he hopes he can "repair the damage" he's done. Nikolas reminds him that Stefan has no say over whether he lives on his own or not, and he intends to help Alexis. Stefan points out that if Alexis is dead, then Helena will target Nikolas next. Stefan grabs Nikolas by the shoulders, frantically worried, and asks him what he can do to force him to protect himself. Nikolas just thinks Stefan only cares about the family fortune. Laura is pleased to find both of her sons playing happily with their little sister when she comes downstairs. They all greet her and tells her that they are getting ready to take Lesley Lu skating. Lucky tells Nikolas he needs to talk to his mother alone for a minute. Nikolas takes Lulu outside. After Nikolas heads out with Lesley Lu, Lucky gave Laura a present. Laura was touched when Lucky gave her a painting from Liz. Lucky then told Laura that he had never stopped loving her and they grew closer. Lucky thanks his tearful mother for giving him the gift of love. She says that he picked a hell of a year to grow up on her. He says that she gave him a brother, a wonderful little sister and now he has Liz in his life and he knows none of it could be possible if she hadn't taught him about love. He regrets not having Nikolas around when they were younger, saying he probably could have taught him a few things. Nikolas comes back in, calling for Lucky. Laura stops him for a moment. She tells him how proud she is of him, and what a gift to her life he has been. They hold each other close. Laura is crying, Lucky has tears welling in his eyes. He says that he will see her at Kelly's and then leaves. Luke asks Hannah how she is doing? She says that the music's hot, customers are cool. She hasn't had any hassles since that first night and then asks him if he remember the couple that was sitting over at one of the tables. Luke tells her yeah, it was Alan Quartermaine Jr. and his lovely niece. He then adds that some families have black sheep, some have white trash, they have Carly. Luke gives Hannah a tip and tells her if she can manage to aggravate Carly more than Carly aggravates her when she comes in here, then she won't have to wait six months for a big raise. They laugh together and Felicia comes in. Hannah goes to finish her work. Luke tells Felicia he can't sleep nights because all he can think of are these 50-year old blues tunes that she needs to know for her education. Felicia tells him he's going to have to try some warm milk, because she only came by to say farewell. She tells him about taking the girls to Texas to visit her Grandmother. They talk about Texas and Felicia can't wait to visit. Luke gives her a tape full of some blues tunes for her to listen to while she's out there. She thanks him and tells him they'll talk when she gets back and leaves. Laura and Stefan have dinner together. Laura gushes about her children bonding, she is so happy about seeing the closeness between Lucky and Nik. Watching them together with nothing but love and respect between them and seeing Lulu with both of her brothers as though Nik had always been in her life. She had felt like she had lost her family but now she feels like she's found a new family, its a miracle. As he passes by Kelly's, Luke smiles to see Lucky and Elizabeth enjoying a giddy moment together. Luke begins to leave but is stopped and invited in by Lucky. Liz goes to the kitchen so Lucky can bond with Luke. Lucky tells Luke about the plan to move to NYC when Liz gets accepted to art school there. Luke is happy for them that he has found the real deal the first time around. Lucky makes a touching speech giving Luke credit for the person Lucky has become and the person he will be. Lucky tells Luke that Lulu needs him. She needs to share the same experiences with her father that Lucky did growing up. He says that because of all of the stuff he said to Luke that maybe Luke thinks she would be better with him not in her life and maybe that is why Luke has been so distant with her. Lucky assures him that isn’t true, that Lulu would be the loser and Lucky can’t handle that. He tells him that Lulu loves and misses him. With tears in his eyes, he says that Lulu thinks Luke is the strongest, the best. Luke gives a touching speech telling Lucky how much he respects him, that he is Luke's hero, that Lucky is the role model in the family. Luke calls Liz to come join them. He tells Lucky how proud he is of him and says goodbye to them both. With a lingering backward glance over his shoulder, Luke leaves. Luke immediately heads over to see Lulu and takes her up in his arms and hugs her sweetly. Nikolas is babysitting her and goes upstairs. Alone in Kelly’s, Lucky tells Liz that he is ashamed at how heartlessly he treated both of his parents. Lucky tells Liz he has forgiven his parents and credits her for his personal growth. Lucky says that he loves his parents. He puts a song on the jukebox and they slow dance together one last time. Back at his apartment, Lucky calls saying he can't sleep. He lights a candle because it reminds him of her and they hang up. Lucky falls asleep with the candles burning. Later, Liz dreams of them dancing and has a vision of sirens. She sits up in bed, then goes back to sleep. The scene cuts to Lucky's inferno of an apartment above Jason’s bike shop. Liz hears the wail of sirens in the distance and becomes worried. She dials Lucky's phone number, but she receives a message that says his number is temporarily out of service. She quickly dresses and heads out to ensure that he is well. Stefan reveals that he would like to take Laura to Paris for the weekend and she is very surprised, but she agrees nonetheless. The two agree to focus on the future, but Stefan is baffled when Laura talks of bringing Lulu and Foster to Paris with them. He finally realizes that Ms. Spencer is only teasing him and smiles as he hears Laura tells him that she would love to go to Paris alone with him. Laura and Stefan fear that Luke and Lucky will not be pleased with the trip, but Laura makes it clear that she is tired of apologizing for what makes her happy. At Laura's, Luke talks to Lesley Lu on the couch, having taken Lucky's advice to spend more time with his children. He is reading her a story about a princess when the telephone rings. Nikolas, who was in the other room, answers the phone and hears the news about Lucky. The young Cassadine interrupts the bonding Spencers and asks Lulu to go upstairs and get ready for bed. He tells Luke that the police called and that they said that there was a fire in the garage and that the body is believed to be Lucky’s. Luke is in a state of disbelief and shock and leaves the Spencer home with instructions not to tell Laura the news until he is able to confirm Lucky's death and tell her himself. Lulu comes downstairs and Nikolas reads to her until she falls asleep. Above the garage, a body is seen burning in the midst of a multitude of flames. Firefighters arrive on the scene and try to put out the fire as Taggert closes the neighboring streets. Mac realizes that this is Lucky's apartment and urges Taggert to try to find a body. Taggert tells Mac to start making the appropriate phone calls. Just then, Liz arrives on the scene and screams for Lucky as Taggert restrains her. The firemen bring a body out of the burning building and place it on an ambulance as Liz looks on in horror. Taggert attempts to comfort her and inquires as to how she knew to come to the garage. She ignores the dectective's questions as insists that Lucky's reflexes are too quick to die in the fire. Bobbie arrives on the scene and asks Mac what is going on. She screams in terror when she hears that Lucky is dead and that neither Luke nor Laura knows. Bobbie turns to Liz and the two cling to each other for support. Sonny receives a phone call about Lucky's death. He leaves instructions for the police to contact Jason and says that he is on his way. Taggert explains to Mac that Liz will not give up hope and fears that this will scar her permanently. Just then, Sonny arrives and Taggert makes accusatory remarks that implicate that Sonny is behind the fire. Luke walks up behind Sonny and asks his friend if this is the way that he handles things. He expresses extreme disappointment in Sonny because he had confidence that the situation with Moreno was under control. When Sonny apologizes, Luke asks what difference that makes when his son is dead. When Mac tells Luke that there are no words, Luke agrees. He claims to be able to confront this situation and leaves, saying that he has one stop to make before he goes to the morgue. Bobbie sees her brother and offers him a hug, but he says that he must go tell Laura the news. As he leaves, he spots Jason and tells him to put Lucky on his list of business losses. Sonny asks Jason whether A.J. or Moreno was behind the fire, but Jason does not know. Taggert then brings Liz the pendant of the subway charm that she gave to Lucky and tells her that it was found on the body. She collapses to the ground and Sonny reaches down to comfort her. On the docks, Luke sits and waits for Laura to return from Wyndemere. She can tell that something is amiss and Luke tells her that Lucky is gone. She is initially shocked and then terrified. She screams in panic and beats the ground in disbelief. Luke holds her and tries to console her. Sonny comforts Liz. She collapsed after seeing the subway token that Lucky was wearing around his neck. Taggert told her that they found it on the body. After helping her up, Sonny tells Bobbie that she nor Liz needs to be there. He offers to have his driver take them home. Bobbie says she will take Liz home herself. Taggert tells Liz that they need the necklace back for forensics. She looks at him, pulls it back, and cries, “NO!”. Luke and Laura are still reeling. She won't believe it is true. She tells Luke that there's been a mistake, and that it's not Lucky. He tells her that the fire was at Morgan's garage, and that Lucky was upstairs, already in bed. He says that Lucky inhaled the smoke, otherwise he would've been out the window. Laura is hysterical at this point, screaming “NO!” over and over. As it begins to sink in, she falls into Luke, and cries, "Not my baby!" The scene closes with Luke holding Laura, as they face the death of their child. Laura then asks Luke if he has actually seen Lucky, because it still could be a mistake. He says, no- because I had to get to you first. She gets up, and starts calling Lucky's name out. Luke grabs her, and makes her sit down. As she calms down, she starts asking how the fire started. Was it an accident, or something to do with Moreno? Luke says he doesn't know, but he will find out. They leave together to go to the morgue to identify the body. Taggert asks Liz what is on the chain. He says it looks like a subway token, it must be something important. She tells him it was from their trip to New York. Taggert tells her that he needs it just for a little while, and he promises to get it back to her quickly. She gives it to him. He then starts asking her when she last saw Lucky, etc. She tells him about their dinner, and then about Lucky calling her. Taggert walks by Sonny, and tells him that he and Jason will need to come down for questioning. He said, "If you disappear, I will never stop looking for you." Luke and Laura are at the morgue. Luke goes in to view the body. He sees that it is in fact Lucky. Laura comes in and begs to see "her baby" one more time. Luke finally agrees to let her. She sees Lucky, and passes out. Luke catches her as she falls to the floor. As they are walking out of the morgue, Sonny and Jason walk in. Laura gets this look on her face and calls Sonny a murderer. She reminds Sonny about the promises he made her, about his violence never touching her family. She yells at Sonny, and blames him for Lucky's death. Then she blames Jason for letting "an innocent little boy" live in a place targeted for "his kind". Luke tries to get her to leave, and she turns on him. She tells Luke that he started all of this, by teaching Lucky to trust people like Sonny. She says that Luke made Lucky believe he was safe with people like Sonny, and that is why he never came home. Luke throws back that he didn't have a home to come back to, just a house of lies. She slaps him. Taggert steps in, and has an officer take Laura home. Luke walks out. Laura gets home, and tells Nikolas that Lucky is gone. They share a very touching moment, and she asks him not to leave her alone. Nicolas starts to cry, telling her about their dinner, etc. Laura tells him what a gift it was to have been able to see he and Lucky become brothers. Leslie Lu came downstairs. Laura tells her that Lucky went up to Heaven with the angels. Luke ends up at Kelly's. As he looks through the door, he remembers doing the same thing just hours before, when he saw Lucky and Liz together. He goes inside and starts remembering Lucky. They show some touching scenes, such as: Luke and Lucky scaring Laura on Halloween, Luke meeting Foster, Lucky finding out Laura is pregnant with Leslie Lu, Lucky holding Leslie Lu as a newborn, and the last talk Luke had with Lucky. Bobbie walks in the door, and Luke finally breaks down in her arms. Sonny walks into Luke's office at the club to find him holding a gun. He asks him if he is going after Moreno. Luke says "What makes you think I'm not after you, partner?" Sonny tells Luke that if Moreno had anything to do with the fire, he would make sure he paid for it. Luke asks him what he means by "IF"? Sonny tells Luke about AJ starting the warehouse fire. Sonny tries to apologize again, but Luke is to heartbroken to hear of it. Leslie shows up at the Spencer home and comforts Laura. She explains that she caught the first flight to Port Charles. As they hug Laura cries to her mother saying she doesn't know how to not have Lucky as a son. Luke and Sonny are in Luke's in the back room. As Luke fingers a gun he insists that Sonny tell him who set the fire at the garage if it wasn't Moreno. Sonny informs him that it could have been A.J. When Luke questions Sonny in shocked disbelieve, Sonny explains that it was A.J. that torched the coffee warehouse. Luke realizes that it would make sense that it was A.J. because Moreno would not have made the messy mistake of killing Lucky just to get to Sonny. Immediately after he comes to this epiphany, however, he bitterly tells Sonny that it is still Sonny's fault. Sonny once again apologizes for what has happened. Luke, glaring at Sonny, replies that there are no apologies and no excuses. He explains that he is mad because wasn't told of the danger and either was Lucky no matter where it was coming from. Luke says that Lucky is dead because of Sonny's priorities. Luke grabs the gun and his coat from his desk and heads for the door proclaiming that he can take care of A.J. and Moreno, after all it's about time someone did. Sonny stops him short by saying "What about Lulu?" He goes on to say that she still needs a dad, too. Liz, Em, and Nik arrive at Laura's. Liz finds the painting of the bouquet she did for Laura on the table. After Laura greets them she tells Liz that she was truely loved by Lucky. Liz replies that Lucky was her happiness. Laura then turns to Em saying that Emily was the best friend that Lucky had. They reminess about times when they were younger. They offer their help with food but Laura assures them that Leslie has taken care of all that. Nik offers to babysit for Lulu but Laura says that Leslie has that covered too. Laura goes on to say she doesn't really know what to do next as far as the memorial service is concerned but she does know it will be at the Mt. Heron Baptist Church. Immediately Emily says she can't! That's where Liz and Lucky spent Valentine's day. Back at the club, Sonny warns Luke of the dangers of trying to kill Moreno or A.J. He says that Luke would no doubt be killed, Lucky would still be gone, and Lulu would have no father. Revenge wouldn't bring Lucky back, Sonny explained, the only thing he can do is stick around and look after the people Lucky loved. Sonny then promises to take care of it. Luke asks why he should believe him when Sonny's "word doesn't mean spit" to him. As he walks out he says he doesn't need Sonny's help. Sonny is in the front room of Luke's and he announces to the staff that because the the tragic events last night the club would be closed until further notice. He says that they will get double their normal salary to cover tips. They all clear out as he grabs a fifth of alcohol and sits at a table in visible anguish. Laura apologizes to Liz saying that she didn't know about the church and that she would find some place else for the service. Emily says that there was another church she knew of that was really pretty. She knew because her and Lucky had broken into it once. Liz explains to Laura that in Mt. Heron's she and Lucky had made a promise to each other in front of God, she says that Lucky gave her back Valentine's day and her life on that night and that is where she wanted the service to be. She wanted to remember Lucky like that. Laura thanks her and hugs her. They discuss music to be played and decide to play Mary Mae's song. Nik says he would call the church to arrange the services. Laura asks Liz if she would like to speak at the service and Liz agrees to. Liz then askes Nik if he would like to speak. Looking uncomfortable Nik declines saying he's sorry but he can't. Luke is standing in front of what was the garage but is now just a burnt shell of a building. Mike walks up from behind and tells Luke it will be a while before the cops know what started the fire. Luke says that Mike knows what started it just as well as he does so don't pretend with him. Mike says he was sorry. But Luke in his own world stares up to what once was Lucky's room and laments that Lucky was simply sleeping. Nik explains to the group at Laura's that Luke hates him and Stephan. He and Lucky had choosen not to participate in the family fued and if he said that at the service it would be like a slap in the face to Luke. Lucky loved Luke just like he loves his father and he doesn't want to speak because it's what Lucky would appreciate. Emily shares that she had told Lucky not to give up on Nik. Nik asks Liz to speak for him. "I'll do my best," Liz replies. Leslie is with Laura in the living room of the Spencer's home. Leslie says that she wishes she would have seen Nik and Laura says that she wanted her to meet Liz. Leslie suggests that Laura tries to sleep but Laura starts crying asking her mother why this had to happen. Leslie tries to comfort her but Laura tells her not to try saying she should be grateful for the time she had. Though Leslie says that Lulu still needs her, Laura sobs that she can't do it again. Mike tries to reassure Luke that it could have been anything that started the fire. Luke challenges Mike to think if it was Sonny that was killed because he had not been informed of the danger he was living with, wouldn't Mike hate the person too? Mike agrees that he would indeed hate that person too. Bobbie arrives at Luke's with an offer to take him to the church. Luke says that he doesn't do churches. He asks Bobbie what the point of a funeral is anyway. Does it make dead people anymore alive? It's sort of like a séance where everyone sits around waiting for the spirit of their dearly departed to appear. It's like a fairy tale. One more fairy tale that people tell themselves before they close their eyes to the dark. Bobbie quietly tells Luke that she invited people to her house afterwards, but she will understand if he doesn't want to come. Luke is sad when Bobbie tells him that she hasn't been able to bring herself to tell Lucas yet. He offers to talk to him, but Bobbie says that she will do it. Luke laughs a little as he says that Lucky liked churches. He wonders how that happened, a kid of his. Lucky believed in God. He believed in everything. He believed in love that doesn't lie and love that lasts forever. He believed in the persistence of the soul and in good and evil and sin and angels. He believed in angels. He believed that there were angels protecting them. Luke would love to believe that, but if there are angels, where were they the night Lucky died? Nikolas arrives at Laura's house. Amy answers the door and invites Nikolas in. Nikolas is happy to see Lesley and gives his grandmother a hug. Laura and Lulu come downstairs ready for the funeral. Nikolas greets Lulu with a kiss and then sends her off to find her hat. After she goes, Laura turns to Nikolas and says that Lulu doesn't understand that Lucky is gone. She can't comprehend. Nikolas asks if anyone can. He doesn't. Laura arrives at the church and finds Liz alone. Liz walks up to Laura and gives her a hug. Laura thanks Liz for loving her son. The guests start to arrive at the church. Monica and Edward and speak with Lesley who explains that she isn't there to stay, but for as long as Laura needs her. Audrey arrives right before Luke and Bobbie. She offers her condolences to Luke as does Lesley. Bobbie offers her condolences to Laura who tells Bobbie that she thinks she knows how Bobbie felt when BJ died. She doesn't understand how she can ever be whole again. Bobbie says that she isn't whole, but she is still standing, and Laura will be too. Nikolas walks over to Luke and starts to ask if it is okay for him to be there, but Luke doesn't let him finish. He tells him to save his good manners. He is as welcome as anyone. Today is about Lucky. Luke walks over to Laura and they hug each other. Luke releases Laura and solemnly walks into the church. Liz walks up to Luke as he enters the church and says that she needs to be sure of something. Luke assures her that she can be sure of him until the day he dies. Lucky told him that she was the most important thing that ever happened to him. Anything that Lucky would have done for her, anything she needs, she only has to ask. Liz says that she needs to be sure, and she knows Lucky would want her to be, that Luke knows that he was Lucky's hero. Luke says maybe a long time ago, but Liz says no. Because of what Lucky learned about Luke and how Luke handled it. Lucky loved Luke as much two days ago as the last time that Luke carried him on his shoulders. Luke squeezes Liz's hands and goes to take his seat. Laura enters the church on Nikolas' arm and invites Liz to sit with the family. After everyone is seated, Laura dabs her eyes and stands. She walks to the pulpit and thanks everyone for coming. She says that her heart is broken, but her heart is also full because she is surrounded by the people she loves and people who loved her son. We think that our children belong to us, but the truth is that children belong to God. Their souls are given into our care for a precious time and it's a blessing every day, every moment. Lucky was God's great gift to her, just as her other two children are. She would like to encourage everyone not to waste a moment of time with the people they love. Once Laura sits down, Liz walks to the pulpit. She says that she feels so lucky to be the girl that Lucky loved. Lucky saved her life. If you know her, you know that she isn't exaggerating or trying to sound poetic. He literally picked her up from the ground, from the snow and the ice and took care of what hurt and watched over her at night. He took all of her anger and bitterness and turned it into something shiny that she will always always have. That is why it isn't right that he is gone. Someone who saves a life should have an extra life, more time, not less. As she breaks down in tears and walks back to her seat, Luke stands up and walks to the pulpit. Luke says that they say, them that says things, that the child is the father of the man. He heard that his whole life and never paid much attention to it, until Lucky became a teenager. The truth is that Lucky never was a teenager. He went straight from childhood to adulthood. It happened in one day. If there were any warnings, Luke didn't see them coming. Just because it was fast, didn't mean it was smooth. It was so painful for Lucky. It was the hardest thing Luke has ever done, to let Lucky become a man and in the same moment hear Lucky say that he hated him. He wouldn't have done it if he had known then that he was going to miss so much time with the son who was here so briefly. At the end of the day, he was a Spencer and the Spencer's are connected. He is grateful, so grateful, for his connection to Lucky. Lucky taught him about things that he couldn't see and only half believed in. Things like honor and truth and love. It would not have been his choice that his adulthood would come at the price of Lucky's. Everyone is in tears as Luke finishes speaking. Music starts to play and the flashbacks begin. Lucky at the diner in Canada, riding off on his bike. Lucky when he brought Foster home. Lulu's first Christmas. Lucky and Luke performing at the Nurse's Ball. Lucky and Emily on the run. Lucky playing with Lulu in her highchair. Lucky meeting Liz for the first time. Lucky and Liz waltzing in the garden at Wyndemere. Lucky, Nikolas and Lulu during the "photo shoot" for Laura's birthday present. Lucky and Liz so happy together during the last dinner at Kelly's. Lucky and Liz's last dance. Back at the Spencer house, Laura and Lesley make small talk. Lesley wonders why Luke didn't go to Bobbie's after the service. Lesley encourages Laura to go to Luke, but Laura says that Luke has no need for her anymore. Lesley says that Luke has no use for anyone else. She isn't going to tell Laura what to do, Laura should let her heart do that. Laura tearfully thanks her mother and leaves to go find Luke. Luke is alone in his club drowning his sorrows. Tammy arrives to offer her condolences. Emily arrives at the Spencer house to find Nikolas there alone. Nikolas explains that everyone is gone. Emily says that she walked over from Bobbie's. She was looking for Nikolas. She really needed to find him. In all of this, someone needs to be thinking of him first, and that seems to be one of the things that she does best. Something isn't right. She doesn't know how to fix it, but she wants him to know that she is there for him. Nikolas tells her that he is fine, but Emily says that he isn't being truthful. Nikolas angrily asks what she expects from him. Tears? Is that what people want to see? He didn't know Lucky as well as Emily. He wasn't Lucky's family like Laura is. He isn't entitled to mourn Lucky like Liz is. He spent most of his life hating Lucky because he had everything. The love, the mother, the family. What is there to cry about? How big of a hypocrite would he be? Now he is the one who has everything, except Lucky. Nikolas sits down and Emily rushes to his side to offer comfort. Luke offers Tammy a shot. Instead, Tammy reminds Luke that he almost shot her the first time they met. Luke tells her that she is safe. Tammy wants to know if Luke is ok. She comments on how beautiful the service was and asks why Luke didn't go to the cemetery. She tells Luke that she knew Lucky a little. She laughs as she tells him that she would have married Lucky if he'd asked. She tells Luke that he did right by Lucky. Luke asks what Tammy wants. Tammy asks if there is anything Luke needs. Luke laughs and asks if he should make a list. He tells Tammy that she is sweet and reaches up to caress her face. He starts to cry and she takes him into her arms to console him. As Luke continues to cry in Tammy's arms, Laura arrives at the club. We see what looks like a room, but there are no windows. It is sparsely, but adequately furnished, in an institutional sort of way. We see a person trying to pick a lock on the door. It is no small shock when the person stands up and we see that it is Lucky, very much alive but very unhappy with his present situation. Unable to pick the lock, he starts pounding on the door and screaming, calling his captor a coward for not revealing himself. He demands to know why he is being kept a prisoner. Tammy and Luke share passionate kisses at Luke's. A grief-stricken Laura, seeking to comfort and be comforted by Luke, sees them kissing. Luke and Tammy do not see Laura. Tammy wants to take care of Luke and offers to cook him some food. Luke says no. As they are saying their goodnights, Felecia walks in. After Tammy leaves, Felicia is very uncomfortable and tries to leave as gracefully as possible. Luke tells Felecia, "Don't go." Luke pours out his heart to Felecia. He tells her that he blames himself for Lucky's death because he trusted Sonny and Jason. He is also worried that LuLu will forget Lucky. Felecia explains to Luke that he will have to help LuLu remember by showing her his pictures and telling her stories about Lucky. Laura is a wreck. She finds her way up the stairs to Lucky's room. She puts on one of his jackets and holds his teddy bear. Laura looks at herself in the mirror and then finds a picture of her and Lucky. Laura loses it and breaks the mirror. She trashes Lucky's room screaming, "I hate you!" Stephen finds Laura on the floor, weeping uncontrollably. Laura tells him that everything is gone. Stefan reminds her that she still has people that love her and goes down the list. Stefan tells Laura he is taking her home. DVD #13B Luke shows up at Laura's house to see Lulu but the only person he finds is Bobbie. She takes him upstairs to see what Laura had done to Lucky's room. Luke is shocked but then admits she had only beaten him to the job. Bobbie is concerned about Laura and wonders if they should look for her. Luke assures her that he knows exactly where Laura is, at Wyndemere. Luke and Bobbie set about straightening Lucky's room. Luke encourages Luke not to throw out Lucky's things because he would regret it. She told him that she was so glad that she had some of BJ's as well as Ruby's things. Bobbie is sure that Laura will definitely want to keep Lucky's things. She then leaves to help out at Kelly's. Laura is indeed at Wyndemere. She thanks Stefan for coming to the house yesterday. She tells him she probably would have destroyed the whole house if he hadn't of come. Stefan tells her that he would have checked on her no matter what Laura tells him she doesn't think she will ever be okay again. She rambles about how she left her son in his grave and all she could think about was how cold the ground was, then starts rambling about how he left her. Then she starts in on the if only's, if only he was at home instead of in that room, if only she hadn't driven him away, if only. Laura tells Stefan that she has to go home and straighten Lucky's room before Laura and LuLu get back from Amy's. She calls the house and Luke answers. She tells him about Lucky's room and asks him to leave a note so that her mother will be sure not to let LuLu go in there. She then leaves Wyndemere and heads home. When Laura arrives home, Luke is still there. He tells her Mac is on the way with the finished arson report. Laura asks Luke to stay and hear about the report with her. While they wait for Mac, Luke and Laura discussed why they came to Port Charles and the reasons why Lucky left home. While Laura blames herself, Luke tries to make her see that it wasn't her fault. Mac shows up and tells them that the fire was an accident caused by candles Lucky left lighted when he went to sleep. Luke has a hard time believing this. Mac assures him that there were no lose ends and no mistakes. The fire was definitely an accident. Someone is watching Lucky on a security camera as he tries to hack his way onto the Internet using a computer in his cell. Then a hand turns off the camera monitor. Alone, Luke sits in his club. The phone rings only to be the evil voice of Faison, offering yet again to purchase the great diamond. Luke explains that he is not doing business with anyone at this time and abruptly hangs up. Sonny comes in to offer Luke the papers that will dissolve their partnership together. Luke informs Sonny that he and Jason are off the hook, the investigation is closed and the fire was concluded an accident. Sonny proceed to still offer Luke a way out of their partnership. Luke opens the documents to find that Sonny is giving Luke his half of the Club. Luke tells Sonny that such an offer only makes Sonny look guilty and proceeds to tear up the papers. Since he and Laura are over and Lucky is dead, the business is important to him. Luke's is reopening. Luke leaves Sonny to the bar as he goes to tell Bobbie the news. As Bobbie is closing up Kelly's, Luke comes intending to give her the news of the arson report. Bobbie tries to comfort Luke - because the fire was an accident he wasn't to blame for allowing Sonny and Jason to have a part in their lives. Luke says that just because a report says it's an accident doesn't mean anything. After the fire, e was looking for anyone to blame, everyone to blame. Now that there is no one specific he is left with this knot of pain in his stomach. Bobbie empathizes that once it's all over he won't remember all of this. Luke will remember the first time he held his son's hand and how he grew up to be a wonderful man. The rest would all fall by the wayside. Remembering his recent brush with death, Jax tells his parents that while he was stranded in the Sahara, it was his belief that his family would come through for him that helped him through the ordeal. He relied on the knowledge that Jerry would indeed find and rescue him. After Brenda's death, he realized that the love you had for people was what was important and that the crash reminded him of that. He was not going to let what happen between them stand in the way of their family. As Nikolas and Diana discuss the Deception tour plans, Diana again asks if Nikolas will be escorting her? Katherine interrupts just in time to hear this and reminds Diana that Nikolas has work to do at Deception and will be as helpful as possible. Diana is asked to leave as Katherine and Nikolas have business to discuss. Katherine patronizingly tells Nikolas that his denial about Lucky is unhealthy and that he should not be trying to work but grieve instead. She invites him to her suite, which he respectfully declines saying that a friend recommended that work would help him deal with his loss. Luke is left alone again in the dark to deal with his loss when a vision of Lucky appears to him. Luke questions if it's really him. "What do you think?" Lucky replies. Luke proceeds to tell Lucky how much he misses him -- how the best part of him died with him. Lucky asks his father if h remembers what he had said after aunt Ruby had died? "Stay stuck or move forward and stake out new ground," -- "I can't" Luke says. "You can, your the strongest man I ever met." Luke looks down in grief only to look back up to find Lucky gone. Viewers are shown a “security-cam” view of Lucky and pull back to the back of his captor’s head as he watches Lucky on multiple monitors. The door opens to Lucky’s cell, and we see his captor’s face, it is Faison. Lucky asks why he is being kept a prisoner. Faison apologize for not being a good host. Faison introduces himself to Lucky who is shocked to come face-to-face with the notorious Cesar Faison. Lucky is surprised to hear his captor introduce himself as Cesar Faison. Faison says that he is flattered that Lucky has heard of him. Lucky tells Faison that he heard he was dead. Faison says that death can sometimes prove to be an illusion. His was and so was Lucky's. Lucky looks understandably shocked when Faison mentions his death since this is the first he's heard of it. Faison tells Lucky that it was unfortunate that he had to miss his own memorial service. It was quite heartbreaking, but so tastefully done. Lucky doesn't believe Faison and says that if there really was memorial service it was because his parents are playing along. Scamming until they figure out a way to find him. They don't really believe he is dead. His mom has a sense about these things. Faison agrees that such perceptions are possible, but it takes a little more than a sense to deny the realties of a body burned beyond recognition, a dental match and a DNA match. It took him a lot of work to switch all the medical records, but the results were absolutely gratifying. He points to Lucky and tells him that he is dead, as dead as Faison ever was. Lucky says that everyone will think it was arson. Faison asks Lucky if he takes him for an amateur. He tells Lucky that he started the fire when he left his candles unattended. The arson report was quite clear. The candles were to blame. He believes it was Lucky's girlfriend... At the mention of Elizabeth, Lucky screams at Faison calling him a bastard and lunging for him. Faison physically restrains Lucky and tells him he is impulsive like his father. Lucky says that Faison doesn't know anything about Luke. Faison gleefully tells Lucky that he has been doing business with Luke for quite some time. Luke sells him diamonds and he referred Luke to an excellent tobacconist. He is sure Lucky has seen Luke smoking the special blend he recommended. Luke knows him and suspects NOTHING! Faison tells Lucky that he believes that he has outlined the situation so that even Lucky can understand. He won't escape. Lucky says maybe not the first time, or the time after that, but he will eventually. There is no way that Faison will keep him there. Faison says that he had hoped it wouldn't come to this. He mimic what Lucky says and asks if that is a threat. So uncivilized. He says that since Lucky insists, he turns on TV and Lucky sees Liz in the church before his memorial service. As Lucky watches, Faison says that he believes that Lucky knows the young lady. It's heart breaking really. So sad. So young. It would be even sadder if such youth, such beauty, such potential were snuffed out because Lucky was too stubborn to cooperate. Lucky watches in shock, trying to hide his growing anger and despair, as he realizes what Faison is threatening to do if he doesn't play along. Tammy arrives at Luke's to discuss the "other night." Luke asks if she is there to lodge a complaint. Tammy laughs and says no. She just hasn't seen him since then and she wanted to make it clear that that it what is was. Just one night. No one knows better than her what it's like to have things ignite in the moment. The other night was a moment. She doesn't subscribe to that whole idea that you are responsible for acting on your impulses. What she is trying to say is that one night is okay with her. Tammy looks surprised when Luke asks what makes her think that all he wants is one night. Luke notices Tammy watching him and asks her if she sees anything she likes. Tammy tells Luke that he doesn't miss a beat, but she happens to know the difference between a man who wants her and one who is just trying to drown. She tells Luke (who is smoking one of the special cigars) that he has been a really good friend to her, but he doesn't need to dress what happened the other night up for her. Tammy asks how he is doing really. Luke says that he gets up every morning and tries to figure out how he can best honor his son. When he can't think of anything, he just does something. That's why he decided to reopen the club. That's why he is asking people if they "want cheese fries with that." At the end of the day he gets in bed and stares at the ceiling. Sometimes he sleeps, sometimes he doesn't. Then the sun comes up and it all starts over again. He guesses he is okay. He doesn't hold much stock in this need to get on with things, but Lucky did so maybe he owes it to him to try. Someone walks up to the bar and asks if he can get a burger. With a wink at Tammy, Luke asks the person if he wants cheese fries with that and goes in back to get the order. Tammy asks Luke if he is still living above the club. Luke asks if she is planning on paying him a visit. Tammy says that she was wondering about Laura and where she is in all of this. Luke says that he and Laura were through before Lucky died. Losing Lucky sort of sank the life boat. Tammy says that she would have thought that Luke and Laura would have turned to each other. Luke says that Laura doesn't want him anymore. She has moved on. She is a survivor. She will manage somehow. Tammy asks what about Luke. Luke says that he is a cat who always lands on his feet. Right now he is still falling, and the other night she caught him. Luke says that he has had enough cheese fries for one night and offers Tammy a ride home. At the PC Grille, Stefan and Laura preparing to order dinner. Stefan hopes that a change of scenery will be good for Laura since she hasn't left her house since returning after trashing Lucky's room. Jax stops by the table to offer Laura his condolences. He tells Stefan that he is also officially withdrawing as a contender for the Cassadine spoils. The stakes are a little too high. He explains that Helena tried to kill him and make it look like an accident. He doesn't mind taking chances, but the Cassadine fortune isn't worth his life. Once Jax leaves, Laura turns to Stefan and says that Helena is the one who killed Lucky. Laura insists to Stefan that Helena is behind Lucky's death. Stefan assures Laura that Jax's difficulties with Helena have nothing to do with Lucky's death. Laura is convinced that Helena killed Lucky for revenge. Stefan points out that the arson report was definitive. The fire was an accident. Besides, he knows Helena better than anyone. If Helena killed Lucky, she would make sure that Laura knew somehow. Laura is still unconvinced. Stefan and Laura have finished their meal. Laura apologizes for not being very good company. Stefan suggests that they leave and Laura agrees. A grieving Luke and Laura packed up Lucky's room but were still unable to reach out to each other. Overcome with pain and frustration, Luke started throwing Lucky's things out the window. Later, Stefan offered comfort to a forlorn Laura. Lucky taking the switch plate off of the door to his “cell”, and then walking to his computer to try to hack into the system and make the door open. Faison gives Lucky a little too detailed account of Luke and Laura’s grief, describing the scene where Luke began to throw Lucky’s possessions out the window. Lucky looks like he might cry, poor kid. Faison tells Lucky to be careful or he will never get out of that room alive. Laura comes in and sees Liz at Kelly’s. Laura tells Liz that when she goes through picture albums, Lucky always seems happy, but he was happiest when he was with Liz. Liz tearfully tells Laura that she gave Luck the candles that started the fire. Laura tells her to stop talking that way, she doesn’t need to blame herself. Luke is outside Kelly's placing a phone call to "Herr Kreig", otherwise known as Faison, in regards to a possible business deal. Faison, who is in his control room, is pleased to hear from Luke. As he hangs up the phone he is watching Lucky on one of the monitors. He laughs as he watches Lucky try to reprogram the automatic door with the computer computer. He smiles evilly and says that he never imagined that the Spencer's could be so entertaining. Tammy serves Luke a sandwich that he didn't and asks him when he last ate. She tells him it's on the house. Luke asks her if her boss knows she is giving food away. Tammy says that she doesn't think he minds because she is a really good friend of his. Luke says that he hears that she is a damn good friend of his. Luke sees Sonny walk in and asks Tammy if she can wrap up his sandwich to go. Luke asks Sonny about the warehouse raid. Sonny explains that Moreno set them up. The cops got an anonymous tip. Luke tells Sonny again to kill Moreno. Sonny says that if he doesn't retaliate now, Moreno will believe that he is legitimate Luke asks if Sonny thinks that Moreno will really leave him alone. Sonny says that he might, but Luke doesn't buy it. He tells Sonny that next time Moreno gets serious, he is on his own. Sonny says that he understands. Tammy arrives with Luke's sandwich and Luke leaves. Hannah arrives and sees Sonny. She gives him a big smile. Nikolas is at the Spencer house reading to Lulu. As he continues to read the fairy tale about two brothers, Lulu interrupts and asks when Lucky is coming home. Laura overhears Lulu comments just as she comes down the stairs. Laura explains to Lulu that Lucky went to Heaven and that is why they can't see him anymore. Nikolas continues to read, but is interrupted by the doorbell. Lulu jumps up to answer the door and is delighted to see Elizabeth. She jumps into her arms and gives her a big hug. As Liz walks in carrying Lulu, Nikolas tells her that she is just in time for a story. Liz says that she bets they are reading the one about the two princes. It's her favorite too. She turns to Laura and says that she hopes it's okay that she just stopped by. She just thought that maybe if she stopped by there first, she would be able to keep it together at work. Laura assures her that she is welcome any time. Liz says that being around the people that love Lucky makes her feel closer to him. Lulu tells Liz that Lucky went to Heaven. Liz sets Lulu down and kneels in front of her. She tells Lulu that Lucky did go to Heaven. He would be with them if he could, but Heaven is where he needs to be right now. Lucky misses them all very much, but he wants them to remember how much fun they had. She reminds Lulu how much fun she had when Lucky took her ice skating. She tells Lulu that they may not be able to see him right now, but she knows that Lucky is in her heart, and in Lulu's. Lulu points to her chest and asks if Lucky is right there. Liz tells her yes and gathers her up for a big hug. She looks sadly at Laura over Lulu's shoulder. Laura is on the couch fighting back tears of her own. Nikolas offers to take Lulu to her friends house and offers Liz a ride to work. Nikolas takes Lulu upstairs to get her coat leaving Laura and Liz alone. Laura thanks Liz for helping Lulu deal with Lucky's death. Liz says that she wasn't sure that she said the right thing, but Laura tells her that it was perfect. Liz asks Laura if Lulu understand that Lucky isn't coming back. Laura says that she thinks Lulu may have gotten it this time. Liz tells Laura that the other day she almost flunked a test and ran out of the room to find Lucky. She got all the way to her locker before she realized that he is everywhere, in the halls, in the classrooms. Laura nods in understanding and says that Lucky is all over the house for her. Everywhere she looks, all she sees is empty space where Lucky used to be. Liz says that she feels closer to Lucky when she is around Laura. Laura tells Liz that seeing her reminds her how happy Lucky was. She suggests that they talk about something else so that she isn't crying when Lulu comes back. Liz agrees and tells Laura that Lucky would be proud of them. Liz and Lulu leave with Nikolas. Alone again, Laura looks around the empty house sadly. Laura is in tears again as she looks at old pictures of Lucky. She is interrupted by the arrival of Stefan. He notices that she looks exhausted. She says that she keeps dreaming about Lucky. She dreamed about the first time he saw show. She shows Stefan the pictures she was looking at and explains that she had been planning to put the pictures in a photo album and give them to Lucky for graduation, but that she never got around to it. She holds one up and comments on how young Lucky looked. He was such a little boy. He was almost a man this year. She meant to take pictures of him with Elizabeth and Lulu when they were playing in all of the snow from that big storm. As she continues to ramble, Stefan takes her into his arms and hugs her. Stefan tries to coax Laura into taking a walk. He thinks it might help her sleep. She might be able to find comfort in her dreams about Lucky. She tells Stefan that she can't find comfort in her dreams if she has to wake up. She knows that she has to be strong for her other two children. Stefan agrees that her children need her, and so does he. He asks her to reconsider the walk and she reluctantly agrees. As Stefan helps Laura with her coat, Laura's mother returns. She is understandably shocked when she sees Stefan standing in Laura's living room. In his cell, Lucky continues to try to break the code on the door. He is finally successful and grabs his coat to make a run for it, but is stopped in the hall by Faison. Faison tells Lucky that he does extraordinary work, but reminds him that he has no travel plans. Faison tells Lucky to feel free to go. If he hurries, perhaps he can make it past the guard with the stun gun. However, he assures Lucky that if he does make it back to Port Charles, he won't be able to locate Elizabeth. That's okay though. Lucky is a handsome boy, he is sure that he will be able to find someone else. Lucky walks back into the room in defeat. Faison says that teenagers are all the same. Never listening, always wanting things their own way, poor parents, that is why they have to keep an eye on them. Lucky says that he checked the place for video cameras. Faison chastises him for not keeping up with technology and assures Lucky that he is being watched twenty-four hours a day. Something to keep in mind when he tries to come up with escape plan B. Faison tells Lucky that he will clarify what will happen if Lucky tries to escape again. He whips out his cell phone and asks the person on the other end of the line to please locate Elizabeth Webber. Lucky angrily tells Faison to leave Elizabeth the hell alone. Faison tells Lucky that he disappoints him. He thought Lucky would enjoy another glimpse of his lost love. Faison sets down his cell phone and instructs Lucky to watch the screen. Lucky sees the outside of Kelly's. Faison asks if he recognizes the location. Is the lovely Elizabeth employed there? As Lucky continues to watch, Liz arrives with Nikolas. Faison says that she really is lovely. At Kelly's, Liz assures Nikolas that she thinks she can make it through one shift. Back in Lucky's cell, Faison says that Liz is hauntingly sad, but alive. He picks up his cell phone and says go ahead. He hangs up the phone and tells Lucky to watch the door. On the screen, a man walks out of Kelly's talking on a cell phone and bumps into Liz. Faison tells Lucky that the man could have easily had a knife or a gun. He tells Lucky to imagine his sweet love lying dead on the ground if he makes it through the door again. Faison and Lucky watch Liz and Nik on a surveillance camera as they sit outside Kelly's. Liz tells Nik how hard it is for her to be at the diner because memories of Lucky are all over. Faison insists the scene is live but Lucky doubts it. Faison says he'll prove it is by sending in a man to ask for directions. He lets Lucky choose to where. Lucky says PCPD and Faison turns on a microphone and they watch and listen as a man asks Liz and Nik directions to the PCPD. Faison says this proves that he can get to Liz at any moment and reminds Lucky that Liz was assaulted and leaves the implied threat hanging. This infuriates Lucky and warns Faison if anything happens to Elizabeth. He lies on his bed and has flashbacks of Liz. Lesley demands that Stefan tell her why she was kept in an insane asylum all those years. Stefan tells her how Helena wanted Lesley assassinated after Laura tried to see Nik. Lesley remembers that her brakes didn't work the day of the "accident". Stefan tells them how he was following her and got to her and gave her a drug that made her appear to be dead. He did it to save her life. Lesley says that she has found out many facts about what happened to her physically and seems to let Stefan off the hook a little, but she still can't comprehend why, over all those years he couldn't let Laura know she was alive. Stefan claims that Helena would have killed her if she knew Lesley was alive. Lesley becomes emotional explaining that if Laura had been allowed to know she was alive and had visited her, it may have hastened her recovery. Stefan says the doctors told him there would never be a full recovery and at that time Laura had chosen Luke over him and Nik and if he contacted her and Helena had found out, then Laura and her family would have been in danger. Stefan insists that if he had to do it all over he would have contacted Laura. Lesley gets angry, telling him he took years of her life. Laura defends him, saying that without him, she may have had no life. Lesley agrees to accept Stefan's presence in their lives, since Laura has obviously accepted him. Laura remembers that she is scheduled to start work with the Outreach Program tomorrow. After Stefan leaves, Lesley asks Laura if she is in love with Stefan. Laura says she doesn't know but can't imagine what life would be like without him now. Laura is starting job at the hospital. She shares her concerns regarding funding and participants with Audrey. Stefan assures Laura that she shouldn't worried and wanted to apologize for breaking his promise about avoiding her during work hours. He also inquires if Lesley is over the shock of seeing hi m yesterday. Laura informs Stefan that she is still concerned but that it doesn't matter because she cannot imagine living without Stefan. Stefan and Laura check out her new office. They reminisce about her time on the island. She again worries if she will have enough participants for her outreach program. He assures her she is brilliant and they flirt shamelessly. Stefan gives her a farewell kiss and leaves her to settle into her new office. She pulls out a picture of her children and places it on her desk. As she continues to put away her belongings, she can't help herself from letting her eyes drift back to the photo. Tag shows up at Laura's office with a kid named Tripper, for program. He is a little brat. Laura tries to get through to Tripper and get him to open up to her. He says that he keeps running away because his mother is a drunk and a liar. Laura explains about his options but he is unmoved. She tries to find out what kind of things he likes and invites him to join her outreach program. He promises that he will return. After he leaves, Laura breaks down and cries. Stefan interrupts Laura while she cries. She goes on about not being able to help others if she can't help herself. Stefan tries to comfort her. Bobbie asks Tammy for a favor. She wants her to come to Carly's wedding shower. Luke interrupts and explains that Bobbie is desperate for guests because Carly has no friends. Tammy declines the shower invitation due to a previous engagement. Luke continues to give Bobbie a hard time about the shower. Bobbie joking tells Luke that if she can't round up any guests she is going to make him come. Luke is horrified and tells Bobbie to come to her senses and forget about this shower. She says that she can't because Carly is her daughter and she loves her. Luke warns that Carly will suck Bobbie dry emotionally if she isn't careful. He encourages her to figure out how far she will go and be sure to stick with it. Bobbie asks him if that is what he did with Lucky. Luke is annoyed that Bobbie would compare Lucky and Carly but he takes her point. Luke suggests that Bobbie could hire actors to play Carly friends. Bobbie decides she will invite her friends to come. Luke says that if Felicia comes, he too will show up. Luke is sitting at his desk when Felicia knocks. “Go away”, he grumbles. Felicia pleasantly pipes up, “I did and now I'm back”. She asks if he has committed any felonies since she was gone and says that she came to check up on him and to tell him he was right. Luke is happy to see her and is always thrilled to hear that he was right about something, but about what? Felicia and Luke discuss the possibilities that the Quartermaines are hiding somehting that may be revealed in the letters. Luke is not surprised, Edward didn't get where he was without stepping on a few dead bodies. Whatever it is, Lila wants it hidden as much as Edward. They continue to ponder what the secret might be. Lesley visits the hospital with Lulu. Laura asks Leslie to babysit, and take her to Kelly’s for dinner. Tony drops by Laura’s office and tells her that the boy she saw yesterday is dead. He was stabbed in an alley last night. She’s devastated. Liz sees Laura who’s walking around like a zombie. Laura tells her she is worrying about how she let Lucky live on the streets knowing full well what they can be like. Liz tells her that nothing could have kept Lucky at home. Liz tells Laura stories of how good the times were in the boxcar with Lucky. Laura is comforted, but acknowledges that Lucky was happy because of Liz, not because of circumstances. Luke walks into Kelly's and is waiting for a cup of coffee when Lesley arrives to pick up her to go order. She greets Luke with a hug. She tells Luke that he looks terrible and that so does Laura. Laura needs him and he needs her. Lesley tells Luke that she knows about the problems between him and Laura, but she asks what about the love. The strength of the bond between them, he and Laura need that right now. They are going through the worst pain of their lives. She doesn't understand why they aren't helping each other. They are the only two people in the world who know what it is like to lose their child. Not a child, but his and Laura's. Lesley starts to cry as she tells Luke that she doesn't know how to help Laura, but he does. She begs Luke to go to Laura, hold her and let her cry in his arms. The created Lucky together and they need to mourn him the same way. Luke disagrees. Grief plus grief equals more grief. If you put him and Laura in the same room right now all you get is what is left of their marriage after Lucky and that is nothing. He doesn't know about Laura, but he is sick to death of what is used to be. He doesn't want to, but he has to find a way to get on with his life without his son. Laura can't help him do that. Lesley asks Luke why he is still wearing his wedding ring if there is no future between him and Laura. Luke says that maybe it is out of habit and maybe it's time to break it. There is nothing left between him and Laura. Lesley angrily says that this should not have happened and Luke agrees. He walks out leaving a tearful Lesley alone. Laura is at the boxcar with a flashlight. She steps up into the boxcar and shines the light onto the walls. She looks around sadly noticing all of Liz's artwork. She sits down in the middle of the car and starts to cry. Laura imagines the future Lucky might have had, his wedding day with Elizabeth, the birth of their first child, a surprisingly sweet scene of the two of them and their son putting the angel on the top of a Christmas tree (Very touching flash forwards here). Laura's face is filled with anguish as she cries for the life Lucky will never have. Laura removes the friendship bracelet from her wrist and while holding it, tearfully begs Lucky to forgive her. She suddenly stands up like she has heard or noticed something and steps down from the boxcar, leaving her flashlight behind. A train whistle is heard in the distance. Alone on the docks, Luke hears Lucky's voice telling him that Lesley was right. He and Laura are the only ones who can help each other through this. Luke turns and sees Lucky standing there (not really of course, just Luke's imagination). Luke tells Lucky that the last time he saw Laura, he threw away everything that reminded her of Lucky. His clothes, his computer. Laura had to beg him to let her hang on to the blanket Lucky used to carry around. The best thing he can do for Laura right now is to leave her alone. Lucky says that Laura shouldn't be alone right now and neither should Luke. Luke angrily tells Lucky that he shouldn't be dead. Every time he looks at Laura all he sees is what is gone. And he can guarantee that Laura sees the same thing when she looks at him. Besides, he thought it was all about getting on with is life. In fact, he thinks Lucky is the one who told him that. He is just trying to honor Lucky by moving on. Lucky tells Luke to keep moving and not look back. Luke agrees that he can't look back and suddenly, Lucky is gone. Luke remembers he and Laura dancing together in the diner in Canada. As the memory fades, he works his wedding ring off of his finger, brushes it across his lips, almost but not quite kissing it, stands up and in one fluid motion, tosses it into the water. Laura is sobbing openly as she walks unsteadily along the railroad tracks. She stumbles and falls. She lays on the ground in a crumpled heap sobbing and begging God to help her. A train whistle is heard in the distance, but continues to grow louder. Laura stands and turns. She appears frozen in her tracks as she sees the light of the oncoming train. Liz sees Luke alone on the docks and asks to join him. She tells him why the token necklace is significant and shows him the ring Lucky gave her. She gets sentimental and Luke wishes he could tell her the pain will be over but they both realize that Lucky wouldn't want them to think the past was the best part of their lives. Luke drives Liz home and they talk about the day Lucky found about Luke and Laura's past. Luke thanks Liz for helping Lucky, but she reminds him that it was Lucky who helped her. Luke says he'll always be there for her. Luke thinks that although Lucky had a short life, he had learned more than most people. He thanks Liz for making Lucky happy. She says Lucky made her happier. Lucky is drawing a diagram and hides it when Faison comes in but Faison reminds him that he can't hide anything. Faison challenges Lucky to a game of chess. He says he'll answer any of Lucky's questions if Lucky can beat him. Lucky says that chess is not his game. Faison tells him that if he wants information he'll try to play. At the end of the show, we see Faison winning his second game. Lucky says if they play poker, he'll win. Faison knows, that's why they are playing chess. When Faison leaves, Lucky goes on the computer to learn how to play chess. As the train gets closer and Laura is frozen with fear, Stefan grabs her and pulls her to safety. He tells her that he went to look for her at the boxcar and saw her things there and came to look for her. They go back to Laura's house where Lesley notices that Laura appears to have hurt her shoulder. Laura is evasive when Lesley asks her questions about the evening and goes to see Lulu. Lesley wants the truth from Stefan but he doesn't offer much, saying he found her near the boxcar. He tells Lesley that he loves Laura. Lesley doesn't think she can ever forget what Stefan did. He tries to assure her that if he had the chance, he'd do things differently. Lesley wants to know if Stefan visited her at the hospital and he answers "occasionally." Later, as Stefan holds an ice pack on Laura's hurt shoulder, she tells him what happened to her in the boxcar. How she tried to imagine what Lucky's life was like there, and then how she imagined what his future could have been like. She asks Stefan if he believes that she wasn't putting her life at risk on the railroad tracks. He answers that he knows she was lost in grief. It is the 5th anniversary of B.J.'s death, Tony visits Laura and they try and comfort one another over the loss of their children. After Tony leaves, Stefan arrives and tries to convince Laura that she is not responsible for Lucky's death, nor Tripper’s (the young runaway she tried to help). Later, Laura finds Stefan having pretend tea with Lesley Lu. She is able to join them. Luke sits at one of his table wearing dark glasses and smoking. He is obviously recovering from a long night when Sonny comes in. Sonny explains that he set up last night when Luke was out and had planned on doing the same tonight. Luke says he doesn't need any favors and that he will set up just like every other night. He is then greeted by Helena. "Most people get pink elephants, I get the black widow" he cleverly announces. Helena offers her condolences and then tells Luke he now knows what she went through after he killed Stavros. Luke angrily begins to react but she interrupts. She is planning to make a donation in Lucky's name to the General Hospital Outreach Program. Luke says no. Helena argues that Laura may disagree since she is running the program. She jabs that she can always get Stefan to feel Laura out about the situation, he does have so many opportunities. Sonny pipes up that if the Outreach program need financial backing he will offer them the funds. Luke tells both Helena and Sonny to put their blood money where it belongs but to leave his sons name out of it. Helena departs telling Luke that outside of his grief he is becoming tedious. Sonny is angry at being compared to Helena. He yells at Luke that tif their partnership is over that's fine but when he puts him in the same category as Helena that means we are enemies and that's new to him. Luke explains that when people are around Sonny they get hurt. That's fine for the people who recognize it but Luke wants no part of Sonny's game that he's playing through. Sonny tells Luke that he will bring the papers for Luke to sign and that's that. Luke says that is not enough. I want you to do business the old fashion way. Sonny tells Luke that he has no intention of going back to his former way of life and that he will not be forced to do so. If he has to lose Luke's friendship because of it, that's what will have to happen. Felicia shows up at Luke's to tell him about the strange occurrences at the Quartermaine's. She explains how since Chloe's arrival, Edward's mood has become monstrous. At first, Luke doesn't think she has anything. Just because your life starts with poetry doesn't mean things won't change, but Felicia knows there is something there. She daydreams of herself as Lila and Luke as Edward. Luke offers to help Felicia find out the truth about the Quartermaine's and kisses her hand just as he had done in her dream. Faison gave Lucky a picture of Liz standing in front of Kelly's, to demonstrate that he still has her under surveillance. He also brought Lucky a chess board and told him for every time Lucky won a match Faison would answer one question truthfully. Lucky day-dreamed about Liz and told her to get on with her life because he couldn't find a way to be with her. Later, he looked at the picture of Liz and started to cry. Luke went to visit Lulu as Laura was getting ready to take her to her dance lesson. Laura said she didn't have to go and it would be better for her to visit her dad. It was tense between Luke and Laura while LuLu went to change. After she came downstairs Luke tied her shoes and Laura noticed Luke wasn't wearing his wedding band. This unnerved her and she later went to see Stephan and told him about it. Felicia went to get Luke to accompany her and start their adventure to find out the secrets of the Quartemaines. After she playfully grabbed him by his shirt he agreed. Felicia is alone in Luke's office waiting for him to change when the phone starts to ring. She finally answers it when Luke doesn't make an appearance. She says hello, but there is no response on the other end. Faison is shocked to hear Felicia's voice and still doesn't say anything. He regains his composure when he finally hears Luke's voice. He apologizes to Luke and says that he will have to postpone their transaction. As he hangs up the phone, he turns and watches Lucky on the monitor. Luke hangs up the phone and tells Felicia that he has changed his mind about going to the party. He was doing his tie and it started to feel like a noose. He realized that he would go anywhere to watch his darling niece hang, but when the Q's are thrown into the mix, he starts to feel sick. Felicia begs him to reconsider. She tells him that it will be different because he will be under cover. Besides, she needs for him to watch Edward and see how he acts when Lila's memoirs come up. Luke is still reluctant and says that Edward will take on look at Felicia's cute little face and cute little figure and, if he has any sense at all, he will act like a dirty old man. Luke remains unconvinced, but Felicia tells him that sometimes, all you can do is just go through the motions whether you like it or not because it is the only way back and you're too numb to do anything else. Luke reluctantly agrees to go and a delighted Felicia drags him out the door. Chloe is hiding out when Edward once again tracks her down. She is relieved when Felicia interrupts to introduce her to Luke. Edward is not happy to be interrupted, particularly by Luke. Chloe offers to get them a glass of champagne. After she leaves, Edward tells Felicia that he thinks she is taking advantage of her role as Lila's confidant, bringing Luke into this house is a perfect example. Felicia offers to go talk to Lila, but Edward insists that that isn't necessary. Luke asks if he offends Edward's poetic sensibilities. Edward angrily tells Luke that the letters were not meant for public viewing. The letters are merely relics of another time. There is nothing wrong with them except Felicia's mistaken idea that she has the right to broadcast them to the world at large. As Edward storms off in a huff, Luke tells Felicia that the old coot is definitely worried. Luke tells Felicia that the most obvious move now is to get the letters. Felicia says that she will just ask Lila, but Luke thinks that that is a bad idea. Lila is too loyal to Edward after all of these years. Edward is already suspicious. They certainly don't want him to hire a private detective to follow them around. He tells Felicia that he will come up with something else. He asks her if she wants to get some air and they go out on the terrace. At Luke's, Felicia is still reluctant to go along with Luke's plan to get the letters. Lila trusts her. She should just ask for them. Luke says that she could ask, but she probably wouldn't get all of the letters. Felicia doesn't understand why Edward is so concerned with her seeing the letters. Even if Lila wouldn't give them to her, Chloe practically has them memorized. Luke says that Chloe may not know what to look for, but obviously Edward thinks that Luke or Felicia would. He tells Felicia that he is only trying to help. If she wants him to back off he will. Faison is watching on the monitor while Lucky practices his chess game. He comments on Lucky's moves as he watches and tells him to use his head. Meanwhile, a frustrated Lucky angrily sweeps the chess pieces onto the floor and throws the chair across the room. As he continues to slam things around, Faison says that the rashness of youth is so frustrating to watch. On the other hand, he knew that she would be joining him, if he was patient enough. As he finishes speaking, an elderly looking hand with a large ring begins to caress his shoulder. Felicia is in Luke's office with him. She says she can't break into a room. She isn't even sure she wants to find out everything about Lila and Edward. Luke gets all cynical about romance. They both wonder what secrets Lila and Edward are keeping. Felicia thinks maybe she should ignore her instincts to uncover any dirt. Maybe she should just write a glorious love story. Luke watches, amused, as Felicia struggles with her conscience and argues back and forth with herself. She finally decides to pursue the truth. If they find something that will break Lila's heart, they'll ignore it and if they find something illegal, they'll tell Mac. She leaves, feeling very adventurous. Faison watches Lucky on the monitor. A female voice tells him not to underestimate Lucky, remind Faison that Lucky’s father is an excellent strategist. The camera reveals that it is Helena. Helena thinks Faison is spoiling Lucky with special food orders, etc. Helena doesn't want to rush her "plans" for Lucky. Faison doesn't know about everything and Helena seems pleased that she has this control over him. She keeps playing with his hair and his fingers. Sonny shows up at Laura’s at her request. She asks Sonny to forgive her for how she treated him after Lucky’s death. She realizes that Jason gave Lucky a job and a place to live to honor Sonny’s friendship with Luke, that before that Lucky was living on the street. She tries to put all the blame onto herself. Sonny says he thought Lucky had a problem with his father. She admits that no it was because he couldn’t live under the same roof with her. She ends with a sincere, "I'm sorry." Laura and LuLu prepare for Elizabeth's visit. When Liz arrives, she brings a picture she painted of Foster for LuLu. Liz and Laura discuss art school. Liz tells Laura she isn't going to New York because she can't do it without Lucky. Laura is feeling down and Liz tries to cheer her up. Laura won't hear any of it. Nikolas shows up at Laura's. He looks at Liz's painting and tells them he is helping with the Nurse's Ball. He recruits both Laura and Liz to help. Laura refuse ssaying she is too busy but Liz agrees to help with the scenery. Sonny dropped by Luke's office to tell him about Moreno's foiled attempt on his life. Since he knows that Moreno will not stop until he succeeds, Sonny told Luke that he believes he now has only two choices, to run or to take back his territory and he's not running. Luke wants to know why Sonny is even telling him all this and Sonny says to warn him and let him know that he will keep him informed if anything is coming his way. Luke says it always comes his way, that Sonny messed things up enough in the past that he no longer has confidence in him. As Carly and AJ’s wedding ceremony was going on, Felicia slipped out and met Luke (who was hiding in a closet) and they went upstairs to look for Lila's love letters. Luke tires to lift Felicia up so she can reach a box on a high shelf. He winds up dropping her and the wedding guests below here a loud crash. The risk pays off though as they found Lila’s letters. Luke takes the letters with him as Felicia covers when Reginald comes up to investigate. Back at Luke’s, he is cracking up as he reads the mushy love letters. Helena approaches Laura at GH. Noticing Laura smiling, she observes she is glad to see Laura looking so well, that she thought she would be devastated over her son’s death, but obviously she isn’t. |
